Syrus was about to leave school and head home when someone pulled him to the side. He looked to see that the person that grabbed him was Draven Smith, a brown haired boy with light blue eyes wearing a black shirt, gray shorts, and orange shoes who is both the same age as Syrus and the biggest bully in his entire school. And he had a bunch of papers with him. "You didn't think you were going to leave without having a talk with me first, were ya geek?" He said.

"N-no. Of course not. I just needed to tell my brother that I would be a little late getting home because I had to stop by somewhere on the way home." Syrus said with a bit of fear in his voice. Draven smirked. "Good. Now I want you to do my homework. And I want it done and back to me by Sunday. Got it?" He said as he gave Syrus his homework. Syrus nodded his head as he took the papers.

"Good." Draven said as he walked away.

Syrus put the papers in his backpack and then went to the school's front gate, where Zane was waiting for him. "What took you so long?" Zane asked his younger brother. "I, uh, forgot my backpack." He replied.

Zane looked at his brother, knowing he wasn't telling the truth. 'What is he hiding from me?' He wondered before spoke out loud. "Ready to head home?" He asked.

"I actually have to pick something up for Grandma first." He said. Zane smiled at his brother. 'Syrus is so kind-hearted.' "Okay. But I'll give you some extra money since, knowing Grandma, she's having you get stuff that will cause you to spend all the money you have." He said as he pulled out his wallet and gave three ten dollar bills and a twenty to Syrus.

The two brothers then started walking. Zane heading home and Syrus heading to the store.

~Later~*Syrus' POV*

I had just left the store where Grandma usually got her groceries and I was now on my way home.

'I still can't believe that store had red amanita mushrooms, green moss, beetle husks, and all that other weird stuff Grandma wanted.' I thought as I continued to walk home. I looked up at the sky and saw that the sun was starting to set. "It took me that long to get to the store and find everything Grandma wanted!?" I said as I started to run home.

I ran for about a mile before I stopped to catch my breath. I looked up at the sky again and saw that the sun had set even lower than before and the moon started to rise into the sky.

I looked to my left and saw that I was by the park that was a shortcut home.

"Grandma said to never go into the park on the night of a full moon. But there's no full moon for the next few days. So what's the worst that can happen?" I said as I went down a park path.

I ran down the path for a few minutes when I saw that the sun was almost set completely. "I better pick up the pace, or Mom will be mad!" I then started to run faster.

I was almost at the other side of the park when I heard something.

"W-w-who's there?" I said.

I looked around and saw nothing. I started to continue walking, thinking I had just imagined it, when I heard growling coming from behind me. I turned around and saw a large dog with pale lavender fur. "N-n-n-nice dog." I said as I started to back away from it. But the strange colored dog walked towards me.

I then turned around and started to run towards the park gate. I could hear the dog chasing after me. I was almost at the park gate when the dog jumped at me. "AHHH!" I screamed when the dog bit my arm. Struggled to get the dog off of my arm when I heard something running.

A rock then hit the dog, which caused it to let go of my arm and run away. I gripped my arm tight, hoping to stop the bleeding. "Syrus!" I looked up and saw that the person who I heard running and threw the rock at the dog was Zane. He then gently grabbed my arm and looked at it. I winched as he did.

After a minute Zane let go of my arm and took off his jacket. He ripped off a sleeve of his jacket and used it as a makeshift bandage. "I should have come with you. If I did, maybe you wouldn't have gotten hurt." He said as he tired the sleeve around where the dog bit my arm. "It's okay Zane. Neither of us could have seen that coming." I said when Zane finished.

The two of us then started walking home.

~A Few Days Later~*No One's POV*

Zane was pacing in his room.

Syrus had been acting strange for the last few days. First, he was eating a lot of meat with his meals and hardly anything else. Second, he growled at someone for just bumping into him. Third, he can both smell like a Bloodhound and hear like a Labrador Retriever. Fourth, he's faster than he was before. And finally, he doesn't need his glasses all of a sudden. True he covered it up with fake glasses that look like his real one, but it wasn't enough to fool Zane.

'What's going on with you Syrus? And why won't you tell anyone?' Zane thought as he stopped pacing and leaned against the wall.

"I'm going out for a bit!" He heard Syrus yell from downstairs. "Okay! Be sure to be back before your parents get home!" And that was their Grandmother, Sarah. Their parents went out for a date night. So it was just, Zane, Syrus, Sarah, and Bethany at the house.

Zane smirked when he heard Syrus was going out. He has been doing that every day since he had gotten bitten by that dog. So Zane put on his shoes and a dark colored jacket an hour before. He then left his room, making sure his grandmother and little sister didn't hear him as he went down the stairs and out the backdoor.

He then spotted Syrus and started following him. Zane looked up at the sky and saw that the sun would go down all the way after a few minutes.

Zane followed his younger brother for a few minutes before Syrus stopped and gripped the sides of his head. 'It looks like he has a headache.' Zane thought as he got closer to Syrus. Zane was about to check on his brother when he Syrus started growling all of a sudden and he fell to his hands and knees, which caused his fake glasses to fall to the ground. Concerned for his little brother, Zane started walking towards Syrus. As Zane approached Syrus, he started growling even more. "Syrus? Are you okay?" Zane asked his little brother when they were a few feet apart.

Syrus turned to face his older brother. But what Zane saw caused him to stop and take a step back. Syrus' eyes were now glowing a darker shade from their normal silver color and were now wolf-like. His mouth was in a snarl, which allowed Zane to see that his teeth were sharper and a bit longer. Syrus' nails were now claws. But what shocked Zane the most was the fact that his litter brother started to grow a pair of wolf ears and a tail.

"Syrus?" Zane said fearfully as he stepped back even more. He noticed that Syrus had a feral expression on his face as walked towards Zane on all fours. Zane looked around and saw that they were by the park where Syrus was bitten. He then ran into the park with Syrus following him.

After a few minutes of running Zane stopped and turned to face his brother. Syrus came to a stop as well, growling.

"Syrus? Please snap out of whatever is controlling you." Zane said, trying to calm his little brother down. It worked for a few seconds and Syrus' eyes softened, but whatever was controlling him took over again.

Syrus was about to pounce when a voice spoke. "Adennill Eich Rheolaethe!" A beam of light then hit Syrus, but it didn't hurt him. Instead the glow from his eyes disappeared and they returned to their normal shade of silver. And the feral look on his face changed to shock and fear. "Syrus!" Zane said as he went over to Syrus and pulled him into a hug.

Syrus hugged his brother back tightly while he cried into his shoulder. "Zane. I'm sorry." Syrus said as he continued to cry. "Sy it wasn't your fault. Something was controlling you." Zane said as he calmed his little brother down.

"Boys!" They heard a familiar voice say.

The two brothers looked towards the voice and saw their grandmother, Sarah. She is a woman in her 70s with faded green hair and green eyes. She wore a brown blouse and dark gray slacks.

"Grandma?" They said as they got up. Their grandma then came to them.

"Come on boys. We have to get home before they come out." She said as she urged the two brothers to start walking. '"They"?' The two brothers thought as they walked home.

"Some Sunday this turned out to be." Syrus muttered as they walked.

~When they got home~*Zane's POV*

We had just got inside the house when Bethany, mine and Sy's little sister, came up to us. She has dark blue hair and blue eyes. She wore a black shirt and blue jean shorts.

"Wow. What's up with the ears and tail bro?" Bethany said while pointing to Syrus. "I don't know." He said as he went to the arm chair and flopped down in it. "It's because you have been turned into a werewolf." Grandma said as she went Syrus' side. All three of us looked at our grandmother in shock. "What?" We said.

"This is why tell you three not to be outside at night during a full moon. To prevent any of you from getting bitten and scratched by a werewolf." She explained to us. "Well it didn't help me, did?" Syrus said in a tone I never heard him use before, which shocked me. "Syrus, I am completely shocked that you've been bitten by a werewolf three days before the full moon. There should be no werewolves that can transform in any way on non-full moon nights. Or able to bite someone for that matter." Grandma explained to us as she paced.

"Grandma. That light that caused Syrus to regain himself. It came from you, didn't it?" I said to her. She nodded her head.

"But how?" Syrus asked her.

"I'm an Earth Priestess. Of course, those who don't know that call us witches." She replied as she lifted her hand and it glowed a bit. "Wow." Bethany said. "Is that how you know about werewolves?" Syrus asked her.

Before anyone could say anything else, Grandma looked at the clock. "Syrus, go to your room. Your parents will be home any minute and we cannot let them see you like this." She said as pulled Syrus off the chair and urged him towards the stairs. "Why not?" He asked her as he walked. His new wolf ears twitched a bit. "Because, it would be a bit dangerous for them if they know about the supernatural. You know how they are." She explained.

Syrus then went to his room. "My big brother has to go to bed before me!" Bethany said cheerfully. "You too young lady." Grandma said to her. Bethany pouted as she went upstairs to her room.

Once we were sure Syrus and Bethany were in their rooms, Grandma motioned me to follow her. She led me to the only door in the house that was locked. She then reached into her pocket and pulled out a key made of wood with emeralds studded on the handle, which she inserted into the keyhole. Once the door was unlocked, she opened it and we went into the room.

I looked around the room and saw all kinds of things that a witch would have in their workshop. I even saw the stuff Grandma asked Syrus to get a few days ago. I noticed that Grandma had a sad look on her face when she saw them. 'She must feel guilty about asking Syrus to get them because it led to him getting bitten.' I thought.

Grandma went to a bookshelf and grabbed a brown book with red jewel at the center of the lines that made a diamond. "Zane. The werewolf that has bitten Syrus is a powerful one, most likely an alpha, which means there is a whole pack of them. And once an alpha bites and turns someone, they will stop at nothing to add them to their pack. Rather they like it or not." She explained to me as she lightly touched her fingers to the jewel on the book cover.

"Then that means, Syrus is in danger." I said, worried for my little brother. Grandma nodded her head before she gave the book to me. "That is why you must become a Spellmaster. So you can protect him." She said as I held the book. "But be careful when you cast spells. Because they won't do everything you want them to do without proper training." Zane nodded his head in understanding.

"Come. Even though the night has just started, it has been a long one." Grandma said before we left her workshop.

I then went upstairs to my room. Once I closed my door I went to my desk and placed the spellbook Grandma gave me on it. I then opened it and started studying the spells and potions in it. 'Everything in this book is most likely for beginners. But I just hope I can use at least one of the spells that can help me protect Sy.' I thought as read the first spell.

~In the morning~*No One's POV*

When Syrus woke up he felt the top of his and found no wolf ears.

Smiling, he got his clothes and went to the bathroom to get ready for school. As soon as he finished showering, drying off, and getting dressed, Syrus started to brush his teeth.

As he brushed his teeth, Syrus saw that the mirror was fogged over. Syrus used a small towel that was beside the sink to clear it. But once he did, he dropped both his toothbrush and the towel. Syrus' ears were a bit longer and came to a point. 'I guess my ears will be like this until the day after the third full moon of the month.' He thought as he finished brushing his teeth. He then used a brush to make it where the points of his ears were hidden by his hair.

Once Syrus was done he went downstairs.

When Zane saw his little brother he noticed that Syrus was wearing an outfit based around Carlos from Descendants. "Ready to go?" He asked me.

"As soon as we have breakfast." Zane said to his little brother with a small smile. The two brothers then had a simple breakfast of cereal.

Once they were done, and they grabbed their lunches, they left the house and started walking towards the school. "Zane." Syrus said, catching his older brother's attention. "Yeah little bro?" He asked him. "Do you think I can be cured? And before I try out for Duel Academy in a few years?" Syrus looked at his older brother who looked back.

"I don't know Syrus. This is new to me too." Zane said as they continued to walk towards their school.

After a while of walking, they came to the front gate of the school. "Well, see ya later little bro." Zane said as he walked towards his locker. As Syrus walked toward his own locker, he saw Draven walking towards him.

He gulped as he came to his locker. He opened it, pulled out the books he needed for his first class, and put his bag in the locker. His locker was then slammed shut by Draven. "Hey Draven. What brings you to my locker?" Syrus asked nervously.

"I just want you to know to stop trying to look like a tough guy. Ya ain't fooling anyone geek." He said, smirking. Syrus nodded and he walked off. 'God I'm lucky I'm not in all of the same class as Draven.' Syrus thought as he walked towards his first class, Math.

Once he entered the classroom Syrus went to his desk and sat down.

"Okay class. Before we start, I would like the two new students to stand up and introduce themselves." Miss. Ping said.

The first of the two new students was a girl with pale lavender hair and orange eyes. She wore a black "Grim Readers Book Club" t-shirt that was a bit transparent, navy blue skinny jeans, black boots, and a three skull bracelet. "The names Daciana Candid. And that's all." She said before sitting back down. She then propped her feet on her desk, which the teacher scolded her for.

The second new student was also a girl but she had black hair with ice blue eyes. She wore a pale blue shirt, a black skirt, and light brown boots. "Hi. I'm Tiff Kang." She said. She then sat down in her seat.

As class started Syrus had a hard time taking his eyes off of Tiff. He also felt his heart rate go rapidly, he felt like he had butterflies in his stomach, and he felt warm. 'Do I have a crush on Tiff? A girl that I practically don't know' Syrus thought as he opened his math book and listened to the lesson.

~At Lunch~*Syrus' POV*

It was currently lunch time.

I was sitting under a tree, eating the ham sandwich Mom made for me, when Zane came up to me.

"I heard there were two new students in your math class." He said as he sat down next to me. I nodded my head. "What are they like?" He asked me. I ate another bite of my sandwich before answering him. "They're both girls for one. Daciana is an emo. But Tiff is the opposite." I said.

"I guess I am the opposite of Daciana." We heard a voice say. We looked up and saw Tiff walking towards us.

"Oh. H-h-hey Tiff." I said. I felt a blush developing on my cheeks. "Mind if I sit here?" She asked us. "No! I don't-I mean we don't mind." I said. I looked over at Zane and saw he was looking at me with a confused look on his face. Tiff then sat down next to me, causing me to blush even more. She then opened her lunch bag and pulled out an apple.

The three of us just sat there and ate our lunches. As we did I had a hard time taking my eyes off Tiif.

"I better get ready for my next class. I'll see ya later." I said once I finished my lunch. I then got up and went to my locker. As I arrived at my locker I saw Daciana was at the locker next to mine. I decided not to pay any attention to her as I opened my locker. "Syrus Trusedale, right?" I heard Daciana say. I just nodded my head. "Why do you want to?" I asked her.

"I hear you're the smartest kid in our grade." She said to me. "Yeah. So?" Was all I said as I put the books from my previous class before lunch in the locker and pulled out my science books. "Now if you excuse me, I have to get to science class." I then closed my locker and started walking. "Science is my next class too. We can walk there together." She said as she came up to me.

I silently growled as we walked towards science class.

Once we arrived at class I went to my desk, which thankfully was far away from Daciana's. As I listened to the lesson, I noticed that Daciana kept on trying to talk to me. But I ignored her and focused on the lesson.

"All right class. For this next test you will all need a partner." The teacher said. I was about to go to my usual lab partner when Daciana came up to me. "Me and Syrus are partners." She said.

"What?! I didn't agree to being lab partners with you! You didn't even ask me!" I loudly say.

"Miss. Candid. I don't know how things were done at your old school. But at this school, we ask someone if they want to be lab partners. I'll decide who should be your lab partner for today." The teacher said.

I then went to my usual lab partner. As I sat down, I saw Daciana keeping her eyes on me.

'Something's off about her.' I thought as the lesson continued.

~After School~

I was currently waiting at the school gate for Zane. I was lucky that Draven didn't find me when the last class of the day was over and it was time to go home. 'No doing Draven's school work for me today.' I thought with a smirk.

"Hi Syrus." I saw Daciana walking up to me. I silently growled.

"What?" I asked her as she stopped in front of me. "I was wondering if you can help me with my math homework. Tonight." She said. I silently panicked when she said that. 'I don't want to help her at all! And even if I did, I couldn't do it until after the last full moon of the month.' I thought. "Look, Daciana. I'm sorry, but no. I have a lot of homework to get done tonight. Ask someone else." I said as I spotted Zane. I walked over to him.

"Hey." He said when I grabbed his arm and started pulling him towards the gate. "Let's get home big bro." I said.

We walked for a few minutes before I let go of Zane's arm. "What is it Sy? You never grab my arm like that." He asked me as we continued walking. "Daciana." Was all I said. I looked over at Zane and saw he looked confused. "There's something about her that makes it where I don't trust her. Plus, she's kind of suspicious." I said.

"What do you mean?" He asked me.

"A girl with pale lavender hair shows up a few days after I was bitten by a werewolf with pale lavender fur? I think she might be connected to the werewolf that bit me. Plus, she kept trying to talk to me no matter how much I made it clear that I don't want to talk to her." I explained to him. Zane then crossed his arms. "Grandma did say that if the werewolf that bit you was an alpha, they would stop at nothing to make you join their pack." He said.

"Let me guess, whether I like it or not?" I asked him. He nodded his head. 'Great. There might be an alpha werewolf in town that's planning on forcing me to join their pack.' I thought sarcastically.

"Syrus! Zane! Wait for me!" We heard a familiar voice say from behind us, causing us to stop. We turned around and my heart skipped a beat when I saw it was Tiff. "What is it Tiff?" Zane asked her.

"I was wondering if we can walk home together? My house is this way as well." She said.

Before Zane could say anything I spoke first. "Of course!" She gave me a small smile before she walked over to my side. The three of us then started walking. 'She's walking with me! Oh my God! I do have a crush on her.' I thought. A slight blush appeared on my cheeks as I realized I have a crush on Tiff. As we walked my hand slightly touched Tiff's, which caused her to stop for some reason.

"Tiff?" I said as I looked at her with concern in my eyes. I noticed she looked a bit scared. "I just remembered. My mom asked me to to go the store real quick. I'll see you tomorrow!" She said before she ran off in the direction of the store. "Okay!" I said after her.

'Oh God! Did I blew it?!' I thought as me and Zane continued to walk home.

"Did you see how her eyes turned white when she touched your hand?" Zane asked, surprising me. I shook my head. "Maybe Grandma knows what it's about." I said. I felt a small pain at my ear. I felt my ear and found out it was a bit longer than it was before. I looked up at the sky and faintly saw the moon. I pulled my beanie so it can cover my ears completely.

I then went into a run to get home faster. Zane was right behind me.

~When they got home~*No One's POV*

As soon as they got home they went straight to their Grandmother's workshop.

"Grandma! We need to talk to you!" Syrus said, banging on the door. After a few minutes later Sarah opened the door. "What is it boys?" She asked them as she let them in her workshop. Zane then explained what happened with Tiff when her hand slightly touched Syrus'.

When he was finished, Sarah had an intrigued look. "It sounds like you have met a Seer." She said. The two brothers looked confused before Syrus spoke. "What's a Seer?"

"Seers are a special sub-species of human beings with unique supernatural sight that enables them to receive visions of the future, the past, the present, and relevant knowledge of the object or person they touch." She explained to them. "Wow." Was all Syrus said. Zane nodded his head in agreement. "Of course, Tiff must be new at being a Seer. Considering a Seer's powers start to manifest around puberty." She said as she walked over to a shelf. She then picked up a copper necklace with a moonstone hanging from it.

She then walked over to her two grandsons. "Syrus, this moonstone necklace will keep your werewolf nature at bay as long as you wear it." She said as he gave the necklace to Syrus. "Can you explain more?" Syrus asked as he took the necklace. "Thete werewolves, which are newly turned werewolves who haven't become Full Fledged werewolves yet, have a hard time keeping their werewolf nature under control. Unlike Full Fledged werewolves who are in full control all the time, even on the full moon." She explained to him.

Syrus nodded his head in understanding and slipped the necklace over his head. "How does a Thete werewolf become a Full Fledged werewolf anyway? That will give us a good idea on what the werewolf who bit Sy next move is." Zane asked.

"They have to be outside at night for a whole round of full moons. If that happens Syrus will be a Full Fledged werewolf, permanently." She said, causing Syrus to grab where he was bitten. "So we have to keep Syrus inside all night tonight and tomorrow night?" Zane asked with his arms crossed. "Don't worry. While you two and your sister were at school and your parents were out, I placed magic charms on the house and a spell that makes it where Syrus can't leave the house on the night of the full moon because of werewolf urges." She explained.

"What about Tiff?" Syrus asked her.

"You have to talk to her and ask her what she learned from her vision. Her vision might have told her who is the werewolf that bit Syrus." She said. She went to another shelf. "In the meantime, I'll get to work on finding out why that werewolf is here in the first place." She then pulled out a book.

The two brothers then left the workshop and went upstairs.

"Do you think there is a way to cure me?" Syrus asked his older brother as he pulled off his beanie. His wolf ears were almost finished forming and he could already feel his tail starting to form. 'At least it isn't as painful as it was last night.' He thought as he looked in the mirror he had in his room. "Like I said this morning, I don't know." He replied.

Syrus looked over at his brother, who was sitting at his desk, and saw that Zane was looking at a book with an annoyed look on his face. "What about that book has you annoyed big bro?" Syrus asked him. "It's a spell book Grandma gave me so I can become a Spellmaster. But I don't understand a word in it because it's in Latin." He explained.

"Maybe Grandma can give you lessons." Syrus pointed out.

Just then howl came from outside. Syrus was about to howl back when Zane rushed over to him and covered his mouth. "Don't howl. Not only will we have to explain to Mom and Dad, but the werewolf who bit you will know where you live." Zane said as he took his hand away from Syrus' mouth.

When dinner came around Zane brought Syrus his food to his room because his transformation was finished and he didn't want his parents to see his werewolf features. When Syrus was finished eating he started doing his homework. "Good thing I don't have to do Draven's homework tonight." Syrus said as he did his math homework.

~Meanwhile~

Draven was going to the Trusedale place. "When I get my hands on Syrus, I'm going to make it where he'll think twice before trying to hide from me again."

Draven had entered the park when he heard something behind him, causing him to turn around. But there was nothing there.

"Alright! Who's there!" He yelled.

Draven looked around before he continued walking. When he was half way through the park he heard growling coming from behind him. Draven turned around and saw what was growling. "AHHHHH!"

~The Next Day~*Syrus' POV*

I had just finished getting ready for school today. I was dressed in a black short-sleeved shirt, blue ripped jeans, navy blue knee high boots, and a forest green beanie that helped hide my ears.

I had just got in the kitchen.

"See you later Mom and Dad!" I said as I grabbed an apple and my lunch. Before they say could anything to me, I went towards and out the door and started running towards school. I slowed down when I saw Tiff. 'Just the person I wanted to talk to.' I thought as I ran over to her.

"Hey Tiff!" I said as I caught up to her. She refused to talk for a few minutes until I decided to break the silence. "I'm not a bad werewolf." I said, causing her to look at me. I can tell she still didn't trust me so I decided to grab her hand, which caused her to have a vision and the two of us to stop. After a few seconds her vision stopped. "You are a good werewolf." She said as she looked at me. I nodded my head with a smile.

We then noticed that we were still holding hands, so we pulled our hands away from each other before we continued walking towards school. I heard Zane running towards us.

"How's it going?" He asked us.

"It's going great. I explained to her I'm a good werewolf." I explained to him. Tiff nodded her head in agreement. "Have you asked her if her vision yesterday showed her who is the werewolf that bit you?" He asked me. I slapped myself. "I forgot to ask her." I said as I pulled my hand away from my face.

"It was Daciana. My vision yesterday showed her following Syrus the night she bit him." She explained to us. I then looked at Zane. "I told you there was something up with that girl." I said to him while punching his shoulder. Which was a bit harder than I meant it to be. "Ow." Zane said as he rubbed his shoulder. "Sorry big bro." I said.

"I'm guessing we have to keep Syrus away from Daciana." Tiff said. Both me and Zane nodded our heads. After a few more minutes we came to the school gate. As we walked into the school we saw the principal hanging missing person posters of Draven. "What happened to Draven?" Zane asked the principal. "His parents called and told me he never went home last night. They are going to the police today." She explained to us.

She then told us to head off to class, which we did.

"Do you think Draven's alright?" Tiff said. Both me and Zane shrugged our shoulders. 'He may be a total jerk, but I hope Draven's okay.' I thought as I noticed Daciana coming towards us.

'Great.' I thought. "Hey Syrus." She said. But I ignored her and went straight to my locker.

I looked back and saw Zane and Tiff doing the same.

Once I reached my locker I quickly opened it, put my backpack and lunch inside, and grabbed my books. I then closed my locker and started heading to math class. Once I sat down I started to take notes.

I continued this for the next few classes until it was time for lunch. I went to my locker to put my books up and grabbed my lunch. Once I did that I closed my locker. When I did Daciana was there. "Why are you avoiding me?" She asked.

"Because I don't want to spend the rest of my life howling at the moon." I said as I started to walk away. But I didn't get far because Daciana grabbed my arm. "So you know." She said as spun me around to face her. I pulled my arm out of her grasp. "That you're the one who took away half my humanity by turning me into a werewolf? Yeah, I know." I said, growling at the end.

"What's bad about that?" She asked me. I growled at her more. "You ruined my life. Do you think I wanted to be a werewolf!?" I then turned and walked away. "Strange. Those two friends of yours, Eric and Kylie, don't think I ruined their lives. Then again, I didn't tell them what they were getting into when I bit them." She said. I then turned to face her.

Eric is my childhood friend who I knew my entire life. He was always what some people would consider a nerd and is socially awkward. And Kylie is, well, I can't answer that. But I do know that even other geeks call her a geek. And I have known her since the first grade. But I haven't seen either of them for the past few days.

I then growled at the werewolf who bit me. "Where are they?" I said with a snarl. She just smirked at me. "Come to the big back house on the edge of town by the forest. Tonight!" She said. She then turned and walked off. I then ran, looking for Zane and Tiff.

After a few minutes of searching I found them where we had lunch yesterday. Zane was the first to notice me.

"Syrus! What's wrong?" He asked me.

"Daciana has Eric and Kylie! She turned them!" I said. I saw a shocked look on Zane's face. He knew how close I was to them. He then pulled me into a hug. "Don't worry. We'll save them." He said as we separated. I smiled at him. "Did she say where she was keeping them?" Tiff asked me.

"She wants to meet me at the big black house at the edge of town by the forest. That's probably where she's keeping them." I replied.

"But you can't go. If you do, your chances of being cured will probably be lower than they are now." Zane said to me. "I'll go in your place."

When he said that I looked at him in shock. "But Zane. We hardly know anything about her. Who knows what she'll do to you." I said. Hoping to talk him out of it. "I'll be fine. But for the rest of the school day, we act normal." He said. Tiff nodded her head in agreement. After a few more seconds, I reluctantly followed Tiff's lead. We then sat down and ate lunch.

~At the End of School~*No One's POV*

The small group of three was leaving school where an alert came from Zane's phone. "A news alert." He said as he pulled out his phone. Once he turned it on and went to the news he had a shocked look on his face.

"What is it big bro?" Syrus asked him with a worried look on his face.

"They found Draven. Or what's left of him." He said said.

"What do you mean 'what's left of his'?" Tiff asked with a bit of fear in her voice.

"According to this, when the police found his body his had been mauled to death by a wild animal." Zane explained to the two of them as they walked past the school gate.

"Do you think it was Daciana?" Syrus asked the other two. "If it was her, why did she kill him? Why didn't she turn him?" Tiff wondered with a finger on her chin. "Only one person might have the answer. And we better get home, fast." Zane said. Both Syrus and Tiff nodded in agreement before they started running towards the two brothers' home.

When they got there about thirty minutes later they saw that the car wasn't in the garage.

"Dad's at work today. So that means Mom's picking up Bethany from school." Zane said as they went inside.

When they did they saw Sarah watching TV.

"Hey Grandma." The two brothers said as Tiff closed the door behind her. When she heard the two, Sarah paused what she was watching, got up out of her seat, and went over to the three middle schoolers.

"Boys. I'm glad you're home." She said as she hugged the two brothers, much to their embarrassment. When she released them she looked over at Tiff. "And you must be Tiif." She said. Tiff just nodded her head. "It's lovely to meet you. This town doesn't get many seers."

"Grandma we have a bit of a problem." Syrus said.

"What is it?"

"Daciana, a new girl at school, is the werewolf that turned me and she has both Eric and Kylie! She even turned them. And she won't say where they are unless I go to the big back house at the edge of town by the forest." He explained to her.

When he was finished, Sarah had a shocked look on her face. "Oh my." She said as she placed a hand over her mouth. She then motioned them to follow her. The four of them then went to Sarah's workshop. "Zane, did you find out anything else?" She asked the older Trusedale brother. "Our schoolmate Draven was mauled by a wild animal to death. We think it was Daciana, but we don't know why." He replied.

"Syrus, what is your connection to this Draven? And don't even think about lying." She said to the sky-blue haired werewolf.

Syrus just rubbed his arm before he answered. "He bullies me and makes me do his homework." He said. "I thought if I did what he said, Draven would eventually leave me alone."

"Sy." Zane said quietly. He remembered the first time Syrus stood up to a bully via Duel Monsters duel, but Zane interfered to make sure his brother won't be crushed in the Duel. But now he sees that it back fired on him without him even knowing. 'If I had just let Syrus continue his Duel back then, maybe he would have asked for help when Draven started bullying him.' He thought.

"Syrus. I think Daciana didn't just turn you to make you a member of her pack." Sarah said with a bit of fear in her eyes. "What do you mean?" Tiff asked her.

"Sometimes, an alpha werewolf would choose one person to be their mate. Once they choose their mate, the alpha would do anything to protect them. They would even kill someone who plans to harm their mate." Sarah explained to them.

The three middle schoolers then had a shocked look on their faces. "So that means, Daciana chose Syrus to be her mate." Zane said. "But we're too young for stuff like that!" Syrus said, throwing his hands in the air. "That doesn't matter with alpha werewolves I'm afraid. And if Syrus becomes a full werewolf, the only way to prevent that from happening is for him to become an alpha himself."

"Grandma. I'm going to the house in Syrus' place." Zane said. She nodded her head in understanding. "I thought so. So I have something for you just in case."

She then went to the table that had bottles of some kind of silver colored liquet. "These are filled with a special potion that when it comes in contact with a werewolf, they would turn to dust." She explained as she put the bottles in a bag and gave it to Zane.

Zane nodded his head in understanding.

He then left the workshop and started heading towards where Daciana said for Syrus to meet her.

Meanwhile Syrus went to his room. Once he closed the door, Syrus pulled off his beanie and felt his ears. They were starting to transform the same way they did last night. He looked over at his window. "Please stay safe Zane." He said.

~A Hour Later~* Zane's POV*

I had just arrived at the black house where Daciana wanted to meet Syrus.

Gripping the bag that Grandma gave me tightly, I went to the door. I turned the knob and found out that it was unlocked. So I opened the door.

Once I was in the house I started to look around for Eric and Kylie. But I had to be careful to make sure that Daciana didn't know I was here. 'I hope she's out.' I thought. I looked out the window and saw that the sun was starting to go down. I gulped. 'I better hurry.'

I looked for a good half hour when I noticed that it was night time.

"Not good." "That's an understatement." I heard a voice said from behind me.

I turned around and saw Daciana with wolf ears and a tail that matched her hair. Stand there with her was Eric and Kylie.

Eric now had wolf ears and a tail that matched his brown hair, which was longer now. And his bluish-gray eyes now glowed a solid blue color

Kyile also had wolf ears and a tail that matched her red hair. And her red eyes glowed blood red.

But they both looked the same way Syrus did when he first transformed. Not in control of themselves. I then turned and ran, hoping that I can get Daciana alone so I can use one of Grandma's potions on her. But it didn't work because Eric somehow got in front of me.

"Good boy Eric." Daciana said as took the bag. "It looks like if Syrus won't come here by himself, we'll have to make him." She said with a wicked grin on her face.

~Meanwhile~*No One's POV*

Syrus was in his room pacing when he felt something was off. "Zane." He said.

He then left his room, went downstairs as quietly as he could, and went to the back door. He quietly opened the door and went outside, quietly closing the door as he did. He then started running in the direction Zane went as fast as he could. Which was pretty fast thanks to his werewolf speed. It only took him thirty minutes to get to the house thanks to it.

Once he was there Syrus slowed down to a stop at the front door.

He saw that it was wide open.

'If Daciana hurt Zane or made Eric and Kylie hurt him, she's going to be sorry!' Syrus thought as he went into the house.

Syrus then used his werewolf sense of smell to follow his older brother's scent. He followed it for a few minutes before he picked up three other scents, and all three of them were wolf-like. He recognized one as Daciana's scent, but he didn't recognize the other two. 'That must be Eric and Kylie's scents.' He thought as he went into a run. Syrus ran for a few minutes when he came to the living room.

In the middle of the living room was Zane, but he was tied up. On either side of him were Eric and Kylie, both had their werewolf nature in control. And sitting down in a chair looking at Syrus was none other than Daciana herself.

He growled at her. "Let my brother go! Now!" He yelled, which startled his brother. Zane had never heard his brother yell before. He looked over at Eric and then Kylie and saw that they were just as shocked as he was. But it did last long before their werewolf natures took control again.

"Wow. You really do care about him. And to think you tried to kill him the first time you transformed." Daciana said with a smirk.

Syrus growled at her when she said that. "And who's fault is that?" He shot back. He then instinctively went to all fours and stalked towards the werewolf that bit him and two of his friends. He growled at her as he did. "Well this is a surprise. Something is keeping your werewolf nature from taking over, yet you still have werewolf instincts." Daciana said before she turned into her wolf form. The form she was in when she bit Syrus.

Seeing this caused Syrus to growl even more. The two then started circling each other, their ears pressed against their heads, and they had their teeth bared.

"You really think you can beat an alpha?" Daciana said to Syrus via telepathy, which surprised him a bit but he quickly shook it off. Before Daciana could say anything else Syrus pounced on her and used his claws to leave deep scratch marks on her shoulders, causing her to yelp in pain. She then growled and pounced at Syrus.

He tried to jump out of the way, but he was too slow. Daciana was able to bite down on his back leg, causing Syrus to yell out in pain. "Sy!" Zane yelled. He then started to try to free himself so he could save his younger brother. But it was no use, the rope he was tied up with was too strong. 'I got to find a way to help Syrus!' He thought.

Syrus then growled and turned on Daciana. He used his claws to slash at her cheek, causing to to bleed and for her to let go of him. He then jumped onto her back and used his claws to get a good hold on her back.

"Get off of me!" She said. But Syrus just ignored her and continued to dig his claws into her back. "Looks like I am tough enough to hold my own against an alpha." He said while smirking. This caused Daciana to growl at him.

She then banged Syrus against the wall, causing him to yelp in pain and let go of her. "You were saying?" She smirked at him. He just growled at her, but then Daciana jumped on top of him and dug her claws into his skin. "Guess I have to bite you again to make you my obedient mate!" She said while growling at Syrus, getting ready to bite him again. But before she could she was smacked away by a bat. "Leave him alone!" Syrus looked up and saw that Tiff was the one who smacked Daciana away. "Tiff? How did you...?"

Before Syrus could finish his question, the ropes that held Zane in place felled down. Bethany then came out from behind the chair, a swiss army knife in her hand. "I know you too well big bro." She said as she folded the knife and placed it in her pocket. Syrus then saw that Eric and Kylie's back legs were tied up to something else that he couldn't see.

"That was a cheap trick." Daciana said when she shifted back into her human form.

Syrus got back onto two feet and got in front of Tiff to protect her. He growled at the pale lavender haired werewolf. "This coming from someone who bit two middle schoolers after she lied to them!" He said with anger in his eyes.

Before either of them could say something else Zane grabbed one of the potions his grandmother armed him with. "Hey Daciana!" He yelled at her. She turned around to face him. "What!?" She said, growling at the oldest of the three Trusedale siblings. "No one messes with my little brother and his friends and gets away with it." He then threw the potion at her.

As soon as it made contact with her the bottle shattered, causing the potion to get all over Daciana. She then screamed in pain as the potion turned her to dust.

Zane then ran towards his little brother. "Sy! Are you okay?!" He said as he looked over where Daciana's claws dug into his little brother's skin. But he didn't find any wounds. He then examined where Daciana bit his leg, he didn't find anything again. "Zane. Werewolves have super healing. Remember?" Syrus said as he pulled his brother back to his feet.

He then pulled Zane into a hug. "I don't know to either be mad at you for coming when you knew it was a trap or to be happy that you're alright." He said with a smile as he hugged Syrus back.

"Can we go home now?" The youngest of the Truesdale siblings said, causing her older brothers to laugh a bit.(This little bit was inspired by a scene from A Babysitter's Guide to Monster Hunting).

When they broke off from the hug Zane called their parents. He told them that they were staying at Eric's place for the night, they were lucky his parents were out of town until next week.

Zane and Tiff then held Eric and Kylie down while Syrus and Bethany tied them up. "There. Now we can sleep peacefully tonight." Syrus said when he finished tying up Eric. Zane and Syrus then grabbed them and put them in the basement just in case.

The four then went to the living room and got in either the couch, the chair, or on the floor and went to sleep.

~The Next Day~*Syrus' POV*(A Bit of a Big Time Skip By the Way)

I had just gotten to school. We all woke up earlier than usual because we had to get our school supplies from home. But before we left Daciana's place we untied Eric and Kylie(who were both asleep)and left them a note that explained that they were lied to.

As I went to my locker I saw Eric and Kylie there waiting for me. Eric had a hood over his head that hid his ears while Kylie, like the geek she is, kept both her ears and tail out in plain sight. 'Why am I not surprised.' I thought.

"Hey guys." I said when I got there. I opened my locker and put my backpack in there.

"Sorry for helping Daciana capture your brother and not helping you when she attacked you last night." Kylie said. I closed my locker. "It's okay. I knew neither of you were in control." I said as the three of us walked towards our first class.

Throughout the day everything went like it did before Daciana bit me(minus Draven bullying me of course). By the time lunch came around I found myself alone under the same tree I sat under two days ago.

"Room for two more?" I looked up and saw Zane and Tiff coming up to me.

I smiled as I nodded my head.

As soon as they sat down the three of us started to eat our lunches.

'Let's hope everything stays normal.' I thought with a smile.

Special thanks to White Tiger Bumblebee for helping me come up with two of the characters.
