Chapter 15: A Jealous Heart Part 2: Darkness in Petals

It was just after Spyro and Applejack had left for Twilight Town, everyone was walking back to town and talking about what the two love birds were going to do and wondering if they were going to bring anything back from the town, but Rarity and Fluttershy were hanging back, both of them jealous of their friend. Meanwhile in the nearby orchard, the pink maned stallion was watching them and smiled as he saw the two mares, seeing their jealousy while also seeing how Twilight acted, seemingly accepting of Spyro and Applejacks relationship, but also feeling her heart was trying to figure out how she really felt.

"Two jealous girls." The pink maned stallion said. "And a heart trying to figure out her own feelings. Ansem and Xemnas are going to want to hear this."

He turned around and a corridor to darkness opened up in front of him, taking him to his superiors to inform them of his findings. Meanwhile at the Carousel boutique, Rarity was working on a special dress she was planning for the gala, but her mind kept on wondering to Spyro and his date with Applejack, wishing it was her on that date instead of her friend, her heart filling with jealousy and envy of her friend. She looked down to her dress, feeling her heart tear apart when she something she didn't remember seeing before in her home or for that matter, in her store; a black rose. She didn't think much of it and thought she might have gotten it for inspiration a while ago and pushed it aside so she had more space for her to work, but then saw a pony in a black trench coat in her store, stopping what she was doing.

"Oh, I do apologize." Rarity said. "I didn't hear the bell. Welcome to the Carousel Boutique. Where everything is chic, unique, and magnifique. How may I help you."

"Actually, it's how I can help you." The pony said, using his aura to pick up the black rose. "You seem to have your thoughts and your heart for someone. Someone you know and like. A certain prince perhaps?"

"Oh, you mean Prince Blueblood?" Rarity asked, smiling and turning her head, her eyes shut. "Why yes, I do wish to meet him at the gala. And-"

"That's not who I am talking about." The stallion replied, snapping Rarity out of her day dream. "Your heart seems to yearn for another. A prince for sure, but not the prince you believe your heart wants." He then walked towards Rarity, sensing something bad about her guest, she backed away to put distance between them, but the customer just continued his advance. "Your heart was stolen by a certain prince who wearing black and white. One who carries a Keyblade."

"Spyro?" Rarity asked, her heart feeling heavier. "He already has Applejack and is out on a date with her right now. I'm happy for them."

"Is that what your heart is saying?" The stranger said, still walking towards her. "Are you happy for your friend? Are you satisfied knowing they are happy, spending the day together hugging and kissing at a restaurant and before a beautiful sunset?"

He kept talking, his words cutting through Rarity like butter as she felt her heart get heavier, his words striking her where it hurt the most as she was jealous of her friend for finding her prince before her. The stranger could see the jealousy in her eyes, smiling as he has her where he wants her to be at as he extended the black rose to her, Rarity starring at the strange flower as black smoke was being emitted off of it.

"I can make him yours." He said. "You deserve to be loved by a prince. One who is strong and dependable. One who can protect you and show you the love you want to be shown. All you need to do is take the rose and all you wish will be yours."

Rarity looked from the stranger to the flower, contemplating if she should take the flower or not, but heard whispers coming from the rose, whispering her greatest desires could all be hers and the stallion she loves could be hers as well. All she needed to do was pick up the rose and everything would be hers. Her heart giving into the whispers of the rose, her blue aura picked the rose from the stranger and almost immediately her eyes started to turn blank as she lost consciousness. At the stairs, Sweetie Belle was watching from around the corner, fearful of the stranger and for her sister as she took the rose, a dark aura surrounding her as her eyes lost their light, glassing over like she was in some kind of trance.

"Rarity..." Sweetie Belle said, immediately alerting the stranger of her presence.

The stallion turned around to see the filly, wide eyed and fearful rush past him and grab onto her sister's leg, trying to wake her up from her trance, but being unsuccessful as she tried. She then tried ripping up one of Rarity's pieces, hoping it would work, but the same thing happened, no response as she just starred at the rose.

"What do you do to my sister!?" Sweetie belle shouted, demanding to know what happened.

"What her heart commands." The stallion replied. "Like her friend Applejack, your sister has a crush on the Prince of Light and Darkness. All I did was give her a little push." He then called a dark aura and a bolt of dark magic formed above the frightened unicorn filly, looking into the dark magic with fear. "And I can't have any loose ends. I do apologize, but I'm on a tight schedule."

Sweetie Belle couldn't move her as her body was unresponsive, paralyzed with fear as the stallion raised the dark magic above her head. As he was about to do harm to the filly, Rarity rammed into him, breaking his concentration and interrupting his magic as the bolt disappeared, saving Sweetie Belle from being harmed. She then looked to her big sister as she tried to get up, struggling as she did while her eyes shifted from filled with life to being glassed over, trying to fight against the spell that was doing this to her long enough to help her sister.

"Sweetie... Belle..." Rarity said, struggling with her words. "Run!"

Not needing to be told twice, Sweetie Belle for the strength in her legs and ran to the door, bolting out of the boutique and as far as her little legs could carry her from the danger. The stallion however, walked out the front door and watched as the filly ran away into town, sneering as he watched her get smaller and smaller, knowing that this was going to complicate things.

"So, your heart was strong enough to resist." The stallion said, turning to face Rarity, who was smiling as her eyes glassed over again. "But just strong enough to save your sister. An interesting development. One that I will need to rectify."

With Sweetie Belle, she was running down the dirt road, hoping to find someone who could help her, but it was getting late and everyone was going home, ignoring her as she ran. She looked around as everyone left, leaving her alone in the middle of the road, tears rolling down her face as the reality of the situation was sinking in. Her sister being attacked, the stallion trying to kill her, and the her big sister's eyes glassing over as she told her to run, everything was proving to be too much for her as she was about to cry, but then remembered Spyro, remembering that he was powerful and could save her sister. Wiping away her tears, she ran to Sweet Apple Acres, hoping to get his help before whatever that stallion could do any harm to her.

outside of Ponyville, in her cottage, Fluttershy was preparing dinner for all the animals in her care, her heart aching as she did as she imagined how Spyro and Applejacks dinner was going, wanting to know how it feels to have a colt friend who will take her out to dinner. She then heard a knock at the door and went over to see who it was, finding Rarity there waiting for her. Without hesitating, she cracked the door open and saw the worried look on her face, knowing something must have happened.

"R-Rarity, what's wrong?" Fluttershy asked. "Is Opal ok?"

"Oh yes Fluttershy darling she's ok." Rarity replied. "But there's a gentlecolt here who has a very sick animal in need of help."

When she heard there was a sick animal, Fluttershy came out of the cottage and walked with her friend to find the red stallion with a large dog, looking very ill as it looked like it had eaten something that didn't agree with it. She walked up to the animal and placed her hoof on it, feeling how cold it felt and how much it didn't move, even after she touched him.

"Oh, the poor dear." Fluttershy said. "Seems like he's just got a cold. I have some medicine that should help."

"Oh, thank you ma'am." The stallion said. "I was worried for him."

She looked to the stallion and immediatly hid behind her mane, returning to her timid self as she walked to her cottage followed closely by their unicorn stallion carrying it dog. When they entered, he set the dog down and walked with the timid Pegasus to the medicine cabinet and pulled out a bottle of medicine, putting it onto her table for the unicorn to get.

"Give him two of these a day while he's eating." Fluttershy said. "Mix it into his food and after a few days he should be all better."

"Thank you miss, thank you." The stallion said, taking the pills and putting it into his saddle bag. "I was very worried about him as he couldn't keep anything but water in his stomach. Please, I must give you something in return."

"Oh, that's ok." Fluttershy said. "I'm more than happy to-"

He then pulled out a rose from his bag, presenting it to the timid mare as she felt her heart flutter when he presented it to her, feeling her heart was about to explode.

"I wanted to show my appreciation to you and this rose will help." The stallion said, showing her the black rose. "This rose is not the ordinary kind as it holds the power to help you overcome your fear and your nervousness. It will allow you to speak what your heart says and to tell others what is on your mind."

Fluttershy stared at the black rose, feeling chills go down her back, feeling like there was something wrong with it. Angel hopped onto her head and stomped his foot, getting her attention and shaking his head and crossing his arms, telling her not to take the rose as he could tell something was wrong with it.

"Um, thank you, but I'm ok." The timid Pegasus said, backing away. "I mean, it's lovely, but I think I'm ok the way I am."

"Don't you have somepony you like?" The stallion asked, getting her attention. "Someone who you love, but don't have the courage to tell him how you feel? Someone who you wish to be with for the rest of your life and to grow old with?" His words seem to make the timid mare approach him, letting him know she does have someone in mind and looked to the rose, wondering if it could help her. "The power in this rose will help you to achieve what your heart desires the most. Everything you wish for could be yours. Consider it as a thank for helping my best bud."

Fluttershy couldn't help but feel like his words were true as she stared at the black flower, hearing whispers of everything she ever dreamed of and having the courage to tell Spyro how much she like him, hoping to take her on a date next time. Angel stomped his foot on her head, letting her know not to take the flower, but her mind was made up and she bowed her head as the unicorn put the flower behind her ear as to make sure it didn't fall off and almost immediately, her eyes glassed over as dark smoke entered her heart. Angel tried to remove the cursed plant, trying to save his owner, but the rose refused to budge as if it was glued on to prevent it from being taken off, making the stallion laugh. The bunny glared at the stallion as Rarity walked in, her eyes glassed over like Fluttershy's as she also had a rose behind her ear.

The bunny knew something was wrong, hoping of Fluttershy's head and running out the door, the doing getting up and turning into Rabid Dog, growling as the bunny ran away from the cottage. The red stallion smiled as he watched the pet run away, but also chuckled as he was enjoying making these promises while getting all the rewards for it. The bunny was far away from the cottage, taking a breather to calm down and think for a second before remembering Spyro and how close he was to her, hopping to the farm to see if he can get his help.

In Ponyville, Twilight and Spike were just returning to the Golden Oak Library when they saw a panicked Sweetie Belle running towards Sweet Apple Acres, curious as to why she was running there when it was getting dark out. Not wanting to find out later, she teleported the both of them in front of the running filly, making her skid to a halt when she saw them.

"Warn me next time you're going to do that." Spike said, dizzy and falling off Twilight's back.

"Sorry about that Spike." Twilight said. "Sweetie Belle, what are you doing running towards Sweet Apple Acres? It's getting late."

"I need to get Spyro!" She replied, panic evident in her voice. "Rarity, something happened!"

"Wait, what happened?" Twilight asked, concerned for her friend.

"No time!" Sweetie belle exclaimed. "I need to get to Spyro, now!"

"Spyro's not at Sweet Apple Acres." Twilight said, horrifying the filly. "He took Applejack out to dinner and won't be back to later."

At that moment, Angel hopped up onto Sweetie Belle's head, waving his arms trying to get her attention as he heard what Twilight Said, trying to tell her what had happened.

"Angel, what are you doing here?" Twilight asked. "Did something happen to Fluttershy?"

The bunny nodded his head, letting both of the unicorns know something happened to Fluttershy. Twilight started to grow even more concerned as the bunny confirmed what she said was true, using her magic to put both of them onto her back and take them to the library where they could talk in safety of her home. She set the filly and rabbit down onto the floor, letting them walk over to the nearest seat while Spike ran into the kitchen with the groceries to make something for them to eat.

"Ok, start from the beginning." Twilight said. "What happened to Rarity?"

"I was walking down to get something to eat as it was getting close to time for dinner." Sweetie Belle said, shaking from what she saw. "And when I looked into Rarity's store, there was a red stallion pony in a back trench coat with a pink mane standing in front of her. He was holding some kind of flower, telling her that it can help her achieve her hearts greatest desire or something like that."

"Her greatest desire?" Twilight asked. "What was it he promised the rose would do for her?"

"Something about a prince." Sweetie Belle said. "And something about Spyro too. I didn't really pay attention as the pony really creeped me out."

"Spyro!?" twilight asked, getting an idea of what he promised her.

A moment later, Angel hopped of Sweetie Belles back and tried to point at the filly, nodding his head as if trying to say the same thing happened with Fluttershy. A minute later, Spike walked in with a tray of food, placing it on the table for everyone to enjoy something to eat, but Twwilight was more worried about her friends as they were in trouble and this stallion that was going about giving roses to her friends was something she didn't like to hear. As they ate, they heard a knock at the door, making everyone, but Spike jump as they had a feeling who it was.

"Spike, take Sweetie Belle upstairs." Twilight said. "I'll handle our visitor."

"What if it's him!?" Sweetie Belle said, making Spike question what was going on.

"I'll handle him." Twilight replied. "You just find some place safe. Now go."

Not wanting to be told a second time, Sweetie Belle and Angel ran to the kitchen while Spike was just confused as to what was even going on. The then came a second knock at the door and Twilight walked over, opening it to see the pony Sweetie Belle was talking about, feeling her heart race as she stared at the pony who is possibly hurting her friends.

"Excuse me, I do apologize for disturbing you at such an hour." He said. "But I'm new to this town and was hoping you might have a map to help me know what's around town."

"Sorry sir, but I'm afraid I don't." Twilight said, trying to stay calm. "The maps are usually at the Town Hall. Just follow the dirt road to the center of town and you should see a bulletin board that has maps with it."

"Thank you ma'am." The pony said. "And, could I ask if you have any books I could check out? I'm a big reader and would love to read something while I go to the town hall."

She knew that this guy was dangerous as he was the one Sweetie Belle had warned him about, but she couldn't turn anyone away from the library as it was open to the public and it was still opening hours, so she opened the door, but kept her distance form him as he browsed the books. She watched as he looked through the selection trying to find what he was looking for when she noticed he was getting dangerously close to the kitchen where Sweetie Belle was watching, her eyes wide in fear as he got closer.

"So, what might you be looking for, sir?" Twilight said, diverting his attention.

"Some books on history." He replied. "I'm a scholar on history and wanted something to read on the history of this village."

"Then you're looking in the wrong section." Twilight said, guiding him away from the kitchen. "You were looking under S when the history books are this way."

Twilight lead him to the books he was looking for while Sweetie Belle retreated into the kitchen, running out the door and outside where she could look in and watch what was going on. Twilight and the stranger walked over to the table where he was getting ready to sign a few things when he dropped a black rose, making the color in Twilights face drain.

"W-what's that?" Twilight asked, backing up.

"It's just a rose." The stranger said, picking it up and turning to Twilight. "A special kind of rose that can grant you your hearts greatest desire."

Twilight backed up as she was warned by Sweetie Belle a head of time about the flower, trying to think of a way to escape, but the stranger just walked toward her, smiling as he talked.

"Is there something you want in this world?" He asked, dark smoke coming from the rose. "Knowledge of all magic? The princesses approval? No, you have both already. Is there someone you like? Someone your heart yearns for? To be with? To have a family with? To grow old with?"

His words were slicing through her as she did have feelings for Spyro, but she didn't want to hurt her friend Applejack as she was happy to be with him and happy to be with the stallion she loved. But as he talked, she could hear the roses whispering to her, telling her that she could have him all to herself and to have a life of happiness with the young prince. As she looked into the rose, she felt herself fall into darkness, feeling it dragging her down deep into her heart as she found herself back on the glass platforms, but this time it was her, reading a book in a field with six circles above her, each with her friends, all of which had their eyes closed, including hers. As she looked around, she saw tendrils of black vines with thorns reach out to her, wrapping around her as they tried to influence her decision.

She fought back as much as she could to break free, but the vines were growing to fast and she was loosing strength as the roots grew and blossomed over her platform, feeling herself fading fast as the plants were taking over. As she was about to pass out, a glimmer of light appeared in the darkness, opening her eyes enough to see Spyro in his human form, reaching out a hand to her to take as if helping her up after falling down. She summed up her strength and pulled her forelegs free, breaking the roots and vines as they tried to wrap around her again and reached out her forelegs, taking Spyro's hand as he gripped her hoof, a bright light shining between them as the dark roots and vines burned away, screeching in pain as the light burned them.

Back int he library, Twilight could feel the darkness trying to take control of her, but a light shined from her chest, getting the strangers attention as he looked to see what it was, pondering what it could mean. A second later, he saw the light take on the shape of a dragons head with two Keyblades behind it, horrifying the stranger as the rose he was holding ignited, making him drop it out of surprise. When he dropped it, Twilight charged up her magic in her horn and fired a beam of magic, sending the evil pony into a nearby bookshelf, making entire tomes fall on top of him, burying him. Twilight then bolted out the door and picked up Sweetie Belle and Spike with her magic and put them on her back, running as fast as she could away from the stallion and from the library before stopping to take a breather.

"That was too close." Twilight said, panting to get some air.

"You can say that again." Spike said. "I don't know what he did to you, but it seemed like whatever he tried had failed."

"How did you burn the flower?" Sweetie Belle asked. "And what was with that light that came from your chest? Did it protect you from that magic?"

"I-I don't know." Twilight said, trying to understand what she saw and what had happened. "But right now, we need to get in contact with Spyro."

"But how?" Spike asked. "You said he's on a date with Applejack. Where are we going to send the letter?"

Twilight hadn't told Spike that their friend was from another world and it was a sure bet that Rarity didn't tell Sweetie Belle either, so she needed to figure out a way to call him when she remembered his bracers. Back at his own coronation at the Summer Sun Celebration, she saw him answer a call on his bracers, meaning that was how she was going to contact him. She then started running for Sweet Apple Acres, hoping his Gummi Garage had the means to call him from where they were to the world he was at right now. Along the way, she explained to her companions who Spyro was and what he was, that he was from another world and everything else she could share openly.

They reached Sweet Apple Acres and Twilight rushed towards the Gummi Garage, glad to see it was still open and headed straight for the control panel where she could try and call her friend. Sweetie Belle and Spike hopped off and looked around, shocked to see what they were seeing, but more surprised that their friend was from another world and took Applejack to one of those worlds for their dinner date.

"So, he's actually not from Equestria?" Spike asked, still trying to understand what he heard. "And he took Applejack to one of those worlds for their date tonight?"

"It's a lot to process Spike, trust me, I know." Twilight replied. "But he is a good guy and is my fellow student studying under Princess Celestia. And right now, we need him." She tried to access the panel to see if she can call him, but couldn't figure out how to make everything work, pushing random buttons and making the arms in the factory go crazy and activating machinery she had no knowledge of what they did. She kept pushing buttons until all the machines turned off and an image of a large dish appeared that pointed to the sky. "Come on Spyro. How do you work this thing? Come on, come on. Spyro, pick up, pick up, pick up!"

"Twilight, is that you?" Spyro asked.

[End of Flashback]

Spyro was horrified to hear that his friends were being attacked by somepony in a black coat, but when he heard the pony had pink hair, he immediately knew who it was and his blood was boiling. Applejack looked from Spyro to Twilight, growing anxious as the silence in the air was killing her.

"I don't know what to do Spyro." Twilight said. "I wanted to fight back, but this guy, I didn't want to risk Sweetie Belles life and just came running here to call you."

"You did the right thing Twilight." Spyro said, reassuring her. "The only thing you could have done in a situation like that was run and call for help. AJ and I are on our way back now. Write to the princess and let her know what's happening. She needs to get her people to safety."

"I'm on it." Twilight said, her image disappearing.

He then took the controls of the ship and punched in the coordinates to Equestria, warping the ship back the world before anything else could be done. As they exited the warp space, Spyro turned the engine on and flew straight to the planet, only for a dark barrier to surround the planet, preventing them from approaching the planet as Heartless and Nobody vessels appeared out of no where.

"What in tarnation is going on?" Applejack asked, looking at the swarm of enemy ships.

"Looks like someone doesn't want us to land." Spyro said, swiping the screens and activating the weapons. "Guess we'll be testing those weapons out after all." he pressed a few buttons and pulled up the weapons and shields, activating them as an image of the ship appeared, surrounded by a green. "Buckle up AJ. This is where the fun begins."

As soon as his engines kicked up, Spyro flew head first into the swarm of ships, making Applejack cringe to her seat as he fired his cannons into the ships, destroying the first few before lifting up and out of the way. Some of the ships followed, hoping for an easy target, but the ships rear cannons activated and fired at the enemy vessels coming in behind them while Spyro fired the front cannons at any vessels that impeded him from his friends. After mopping up the last of the smaller ships, a massive eel-like Heartless vessel appeared out of thin air and dropped mines behind it while charging at him. Undeterred, he fired his meteor misses at the mines to destroy all the ones clustered together while firing his cannons at the ship to damage it, exposing a power core in its head. Taking aim, Spyro locked onto the core and fired another missile, hitting its mark and causing a chain reaction that destroyed the vessel. When it was destroyed, the barrier that was blocking them from entering Equestria again disappeared, allowing for safe passage down to the ground.

"Once we land, I need you to find some place safe to hide." Spyro said to Applejack. "No heroics this time. I don't want to loose you to this guy."

"Fiddle Sticks to that Spyro!" Applejack said. "Ah'm going with ya as they're mah friends too."

He wanted to argue with her, but looked to find Twilight was returning to town, but was ambushed by a bunch of Heartless and she had with her Spike and Sweetie Belle on her back. Without a moments hesitation, Spyro flew over Twilight, hovering in place and fired his cannons at the Heartless, watching as they ran for cover, but unable to make it as the cannon fire was too thick and they were already targeted by the ships computers, leaving none left standing. he then set his ship down a little ways away from the trio and lowered the ramp, the two of them running out of the ship and to their friend.

"Twilight, you ok?" Spyro shouted, running to her.

"Yeah, I'm fine." Twilight replied, flicking her ear. "But could you have just landed and then attack before firing those things? They nearly made me deaf."

"Sorry, there wasn't a lot of time." Spyro replied. "Right now, we need to get you guys to safety. If Marluxia is here, then we are in for a serious fight."

"Marluxia?" Twilight asked.

"Who is this Marluxia?" Princess Celestia asked, both her and Princess Luna walking towards them.

"He's a member of Organization XIII." Spyro replied. "They're the guys who command the Nobodies and it seems they also have control of the heartless too, making things worse for us. And Marluxia, he's known for manipulation and sweet talking people. But what is he doing here? It doesn't make sense for him to be here unless he was given orders."

As soon as he said it, a dark corridor opened up and out of it, Marluxia in his pony form walked out of it, smiling like he had something up his sleeve. Spyro called his Keyblade and got in front of everyone as both Princesses drew their weapons they brought along and stood next to him, defending the ponies from the intruder.

"Ah, the Prince of Light and Darkness himself." Marluxia said, smiling as he did. "Returning from his date at Twilight Town. Did you enjoy the food?"

"Can it Marluxia!" Spyro shouted. "What did you do to my friends?"

"Me?" Marluxia asked, veining ignorance. "It should be I who should be asking you what you did to that lavender unicorn." Everyone was looking at Spyro, waiting for him to say something, but just shrugged his shoulders, not knowing what Marluxia was talking about before he chuckled at his confusion. "You don't even know that?"

He pointed towards Twilight, letting everyone know he was talking about something that was on her chest. Everyone looked to see what he was talking about, even Twilight looked and a second later, the symbol Marluxia saw earlier shined again and disappeared, surprising everyone.

"That symbol means she has been touched by your light." Marluxia said, snarling at him. "When one is touched my the princes light, no darkness can touch their hearts. Meaning that no amount of darkness, large or small, can affect them."

"Well, that's well and good, but what did you do to Rarity and Fluttershy!?" Spyro shouted.

Marluxia just smiled and held his hoof up, dark flames surrounding it as a black rose was created from the dark flames, making everyone back up as they didn't know what it was.

"This little beauty is the answer." Marluxia said, smiling. "A little flower called 'Dark Desire.' It's something your predecessor came up with, your majesty." The princesses looked to Spyro, who also looked to them, trying to figure out who he was talking about until they realized it was Spyro they were talking to and turned back to face Marluxia. "It was created by the fourth Prince of Light and Darkness as a means to make his enemies destroy themselves with their own desires."

"Why would one of my predecessors make such a spell?" Spyro asked. "Such darkness brings forth destruction and malice."

"It's something he made as a means to end a war." Marluxia replied. "There were two warring factions that wanted the same land. Possessed by a king who sought the destruction of his enemy, the weaker clan was on the verge of extinction. So, he created the spell and brought it forth to the king as a means to end the war, only to be consumed by his desire for power." Marluxia walked towards them, the royal trio raised their weapons to defend themselves from the approaching enemy. "That power alone ended the war for you see, once the victim has acquired what they desired the most, the flower will bloom and one of two events will occur. If they are strong enough, the flower and its host will form a symbiotic relationship, but the flower will be in control, but if they are too weak, the flower will devour them, ending their suffering. If you ask me, the second option seems to be the better one."

Everyone was paralyzed after what they heard as if the two mares were infected with the flowers, then they were as good as dead. A moment later, Marluxia produced a book that had two dragon heads facing away from each other and a Keyblade in the center, making Spyro lower his as it was a spell book form the princes library. He looked into his bag to see if he was kissing any, but Marluxia just tossed it to him, making him use his aura to catch it, surprised he had such texts.

"Where did you get this!?" Spyro demanded. "There's no way you should have such a book if it was from my library!"

"Well, your library is incomplete." Marluxia said. "The organization found it in a large chest full of books. This one was the only one of interest as the rest were useless. And we also found a piece of paper that you might find interesting. Check the inner cover and you'll see." He turned around and walked away, leaving them, but Spyro ran forward to attack him, but Marluxia turned and threw the flower he had, missing Spyro, but hitting Princess Luna in the chest, making her scream in pain as Spyro stopped. "You have a choice there, your majesty. Follow me, or save your friends."

Spyro turned to see dark root as were growing on the princesses chest, her sister running over to help her while Marluxia disappeared into a dark corridor, leaving them behind. Spyro knew he would get another crack at him and dismissed his Keyblade, turning and running to the princess as she kept screaming while the roots grew. He opened the books pages to find what he needed to find until he found the section that held the information on Dark Desire.

Dark Desire

I first discovered that this accursed flower was only a sign, a threat of death towards whoever got it, but I found that combining this flower can also hold a deadly curse that if used properly can turn whoever is hit with this cursed bloom into its slave to fulfill their own desires. Once accomplished, the bloom will either turn the victim into its food and drain the victim of their life or fuse with them all together and grant them the power of darkness, but they will forever be enslaved to the roses dark magic, needing to spread its influence. The only known way to save the victim is to pull the flower away from them before its roots dig too deep into the host. If dug deep enough, they are forever bound to the cursed flower. If so, only the Princes Light can save them.

He was relieved there was a way to save his friends, but didn't know what the Princes Light was, but first he had to save Princess Luna. He rushed over and tried to yank the flower off her chest, but the roots were strong and removing the cursed flower was going to be impossible if not done quickly. Celestia tried to use her own magic to remove the flower, using light to burn it, which it did do some damage, but the plant just tightened around her sister, making her scream in agony.

"Spyro, do something!" Princess Celestia exclaimed, panic in her voice.

"There is a way to get it off." Spyro said. "The Princes Light should do it."

"Then do it!" Celestia shouted.

"I don't know how." Spyro said, yanking at the plant. "This is the first time I've ever heard of this spell let alone this 'Light.' I don't know what to do!"

A second later, a light shined from Princess Luna's chest, catching both of them off guard as the light burned away the rose, making it screech in pain as it crumbled into ash, revealing the same symbol on Princess Luna's chest that was on Twilights. Everyone was in stunned silence as the princess got back up, wobbling, but was standing again. Celestia and Spyro got on either side of her, helping to make sure she was stable enough to stand on her own before they stepped back.

"Ok, this is getting ridiculous." Twilight said. "First a flower, then this symbol on our chests, and now a book from Spyro's library in the hooves of that pony! Somepony tell me what's going on!!"

"The Organization had this?" Spyro asked himself, getting their attention.

"Organization?" Twilight asked. "What's the Organization?"

"Organization XIII." Spyro replied. "They are the leaders of the Nobodies. And it seems they can now control the Heartless too. And if what Marluxia says is true, we're in trouble."

"How so sugarcube?" Applejack asked, standing next to him.

"It means that if they found this, then they can find others." Spyro said, looking at the book. "And if what they said is true and my library is incomplete, that if there are tomes missing from it, then they can find others like it and could use them to harm many innocent people." Everyone was silent as he told them about the dangers the tomes could pose, it sent shivers down everyone's spine as he turned to look back at them. "But we can't worry about that right now. We need to save our friends."

"He's right." Princess Celestia said. "Right now, the Princess Light seems to be the only thing that can save them."

"And when Spyro purified me of my darkness, it must have left behind that light to protect me." Princess Luna said, looking to Twilight. "But I was the only one who was purified by his light. How are you I protected by it?"

"Maybe when he showed me his heart and his memories." Twilight replied. "Before we were discovering the Elements of Harmony, Spyro used his magic to show me his heart and his memories to show he could be trusted. Maybe he left some light behind without even knowing."

"Who cares!" Sweetie Belle shouted, getting everyone's attention. "He used that flower on my sister and I want to save her before anything bad happens."

"And we will save her." Spyro said. "But if he used the flower to make them fulfill their desires, they could be anywhere by now. We don't know where to start looking."

They then heard someone scream as they fell, looking up to see Rainbow Dash crash land on top of Spyro, dazing him as he got up with the rainbow Pegasus on his back, glaring at him.

"Whoops, sorry Spyro." Rainbow Dash said, hoping off him. "But I'm glad you're back. Rarity has lost her mind."

"Rarity?" Everyone asked at the same time, spooking Rainbow Dash.

"Where did you see her?" Spyro asked.

"She's in town." Rainbow Dash replied. "And there is this strange flower growing around her neck. I tried to get close, but she just knocked me away."

"Then we don't have a moment to loose." Spyro said, helping Rainbow Dash up. "Rainbow, I need you to look for Fluttershy. She's also got one of those flowers on her and we need to find her fast before anything happens to her."

"You got it." Rainbow Dash said, flying into the air.

"Twilight, keep Sweetie Belle and Applejack away from town." Spyro continued. "The princesses and I will handle this."

"Just bring her home safe, ok." Twilight asked.

Spyro nodded his head, letting her know he will save her before the royal trio took off towards the town, leaving Twilight with her friends, but when she looked over to Applejack, she looked horrified as she had realized something after their friends left.

"AJ, what's wrong?" Twilight asked.

"Marluxia gave me a bouquet of flowers." Applejack said, turning to face Twilight. "And if he is using them flowers, he must've put one in the bouquet he gave me."

Both the mares were silent as Applejack had told her the organization member had given her a bunch of flowers, which she turned and ran towards the farm to get rid of the flowers before anything happened, leaving Twilight with Spike and Sweetie Belle as Angel had already left to find Fluttershy.

"Ok you two, we're going to find a safe place to hide for a while." Twilight said, walking in a random direction. "Until Spyro or the princesses come back, we are going to need to hide until they do. Ok?" She looked to her back to get an answer, only to see that Spike and Sweetie Belle were not on her back and no where in sight, making Twilight's jaw drop and her eyes widen as she knew Spyro was going to kill her.
