Chapter 18: Boast Busters

A couple of days went by and it has been very quiet, for a change, as there haven't been any Heartless or any sign of Organization XIII, which was both a good sign as he didn't have to fight all the time, but bad as both Maleficent and the organization were both planning something. But worrying about that wasn't going to make it go away and decided to just enjoy the peace and quiet while it lasted, helping his friends and to make sure everyone was safe. Spyro was at the Golden Oak Library as Twilight had been pestering him to help her with some spells she made and wanted to learn more about his magic as she was still so persistent to learn everything, from him.

"So, tell me again why I'm doing this?" Spyro asked, standing in the middle of the room.

"It's simple Spyro, I just needed someone to help me test the spells I have made." Twilight said, jotting down notes. "And after we're finished, I would like to spend some times with you to learn more about your magic and about the Force."

"The more you try to understand, the less you'll learn." Spyro said, looking to the chalk board nearby. "And why is Spike not being the subject of the testing?"

"Someone needs to tally all the successful spells I managed to cast." Twilight replied, seeing the list of spells Twilight came up with, some of which were crossed off. "And he needs to keep track of the spells we tried. And, since you are magical, maybe you have some kid of immunity to magic we can find."

"Twilight, I might be powerful, but I can't exactly resist magic." He replied, shivering at one time back at Neverland. "Anyway, let's finish this up. It's getting close to lunch time."

Twilights horn then started to glow, changing color as she read the spell he made, and fires a beam of light at him, hitting him in the head, which caught him off guard as he wasn't expecting that. When he looked, nothing seemed to happen, which he felt relief and disappointed as nothing happened, until he looked in the mirror and saw he had a mustache, big and bushy, similar color to his gold mane.

"Number twenty-five, hair growth spell!" Spike said, putting a check mark on the sit and a tally on successful spells casted. "Wow Twilight, that's twenty five successful spells you managed to cast. You're on a role."

"Well, I'll give you that, it's something." Spyro said, walking over to the mirror. "But I don't see a lot of use coming from this spell unless someone needs to regrow their hair. Might have been useful back with the serpent back in the Everfree."

"Oh, I don't know. I think it looks good on you." Twilight said, walking up and leaning her head on his neck, closing her eyes as she had a daydream.

He looked down at Twilight, seeing how peaceful and happy she was and couldn't help but wrap his wing around her barrel. A moment later, he looked up to see the time and saw it was nearly time for lunch, so he blew into Twilights ear, snapping her out of her daydream.

"As much as I like having facial hair back in my old home, I think I'll pass on it right now." Spyro said, seeing the disappointed look she was giving. "Don't worry. I'll make it up by telling you a bit of my magic."

"Really!?" Twilight said, her day brightening up as she removed the fake mustache. "You'll really show me some of your magic!?"

"Sure, why not." Spyro replied, removing his wing. "But first, let's get something to eat. I'm getting hungry."

Nodding her head, agreeing with Spyro, the trio walked out of the door of the library and went into the town to get something to eat. Along the way, they encountered a bunch of ponies who greeted them and even bowed their heads to greet the prince as they walked along, which Spyro was still not used to to as he never liked to be addressed or treated like a prince.

"Twenty-five spells Twilight, twenty-five different new spells you came up with." Spike said, praising his friend. "But I thought Unicorns only know a little bit of magic."

"Well, that's true Spike, unicorns know the magic that matches their special talent." Twilight replied. "Like the magic used for cooking or gardening. But my special talent is magic, so I have a lot of magic."

"And so does Spyro." Spike added. "He's got a lot of magic in him."

"Well, it's more like a last resort kind of thing." Spyro replied. "I use my magic in order to take care of an enemy that's far away or to figure out puzzles in certain worlds. And I haven't even scratched the surface of my full strength."

"Wait, you haven't?" Twilight asked, surprised to hear her friend say that.

"Yeah, I've only just scratched the surface of my true power." Spyro replied. "The princes of old come up with their own spells and magics, adding to the library with every generation. Like the spell I used to purify the princess and our friends."

"Speaking of which, how does it work?" Twilight asked, no parchment, but wanting to know none-the-less.

"It basically works with the information about the Hearts Final Connection." Spyro replied. "I put my Keyblade over the heart and a Keyhole will appear, allowing me to unlock their heart and journey through it to see the kind of person, or in this case pony, they were in the past and the kind of corruption that has affected their heart. Though I haven't come up with a name for it yet, I'm sure it won't be the last time I use it."

"Well, we should come up with a name for it!" Spike said excitedly. "How about, 'Heart purifier?' Or maybe, 'Banish the Darkness?'"

"Keep trying Spike." Spyro chuckled. "Coming up with names for spells is not an easy thing to do."

"I got one." Twilight said. "How about 'Redemption of the Heart?' If a heart is corrupted, when you go into their heart, you listen to what the heart is saying, hearing their fears and despair. And when you listen and help them to find their light again, you help to redeem them and bring them back to what they were."

Spyro thought about it for a momenta and thought Twilight might have something there as it's seemed to make sense, but his train of thought was interrupted when he noticed everyone in town was running the opposite direction of where they were going. Wondering what was going on, he stopped and turned to see where they were going, only for two unicorn colts to run into him. One was yellow and lanky with a green mane and tail and his mark was a snail. The other one was shorter and chubbier, and his color scheme seemed the exact opposite of the lanky unicorns, but his coat was a lighter shade of green with a blue tint to it and his mark was a pair of scissors. He recognized these two from Apple Blooms class when he goes to pick her up as Snips and Snails, the class clowns as they weren't;t exactly the brightest lights in the box.

"Whoops, sorry sir." Snips said, looking to see it was Spyro, he and his friend immediately got up and bowed. "Your highness! I am so sorry for bumping into you. It was-"

"Relax Snips, it was an accident." Spyro replied. "But where is everyone running off to? Is Pinkie throwing another party or something?"

"No, there is a new unicorn in town." Snails said, unable to contain his and his friends excitement. "She is a powerful unicorn wizard! She's in the Town Square right now."

The two colts ran around them and went straight to the town square, leaving the trio alone to wonder who this new pony was.

"Someone who says they're a powerful unicorn wizard?" Spyro asked. "Sounds like they're more hot air than actual action."

"I agree." Spike replied, hoping onto his back. "Twilight knows way more spells and could easily trump whoever this unicorn is."

"Guys, please stop it." Twilight said, looking anxious and nervous. "I'm sure there are other unicorns with just as mock magic as I do."

They turned around and went to the town square and saw about every pony in Ponyville gathered at the side of what looked to be a traveling circus wagon, but it was yellow and the roof was red with a sign on it. Spyro, Twilight, and Spike gently pushed forward and were allowed through as eveyrone saw who was coming, allowing the three of them to stand next to their friends as a collapsible stage appeared, creating an area for someone to perform on.

"Come one, come all!" Came a female voice. "Feast your eyes on the amazing magic of the Great and Powerful Trixie!" Smoke soon erupted from the center of the stage as a light blue unicorn mare with her mane and tail a mix of silver and blue, wearing a purple cape and hat lined with stars over both of the accessories and a wand shaped cutie mark with a crescent moon behind it. "Come and witness feats of magic that have never been seen by the likes of ponies in all of Equestria!"

Fireworks were then set off, displaying a show of color and explosions that seemed to captivate everyone who was watching

"She seems to be nothing more than a traveling show pony." Spyro whispered to Twilight. "Though, why she refers to herself in the third person, I have no clue."

"My, what boasting." Rarity said, raising an eyebrow.

"Come on Rarity." Spyro said. "There isn't anything wrong with being magically talented."

"Except when they go around showing it off like a filly with fancy new clothing." Applejack said, oblivious to Twilight's discomfort.

"Do I hear a bunch of Neigh sayers in the audience?" Trixie asked, looking annoyed. "Well, gather around as the Great and Powerful Trixie weaves a tale of how she has vanquished the dreaded Ursa Major in the city of Hoofington!"

Everyone gasped in the audience when she said she was powerful enough to defeat a constellation, which to Spyro didn't make any sense, but then remembered that in this world, creatures of myth and legend are real, so he probably thought, even though it was a long shot, there could be such a creature.

"Impossible." Twilight said. "Only the princess has magic strong enough to defeat and Ursa Major."

"They actually exist?" Spyro asked, surprised to hear Twilight knew of them.

"Yeah, they live in the Everfree Forest along with the other monsters that live in the forest." Twilight replied. "But, Hoofington is no where near the Everfree Forest."

"So, she's basically lying." Spyro said, rolling his eyes. "Typical."

"Trixie still hears some doubters in the audience!" Trixie shouted. "Are there still those who doubt my magic?"

"We don't, oh Great and Powerful Trixie!" Snips shouted.

"Yeah, you're the best." Snails added, both clearly eating out of her hooves.

"And just to show that Trixie is the best, I shall accept any challenge that Ponyville has to offer." Trixie announced, pointing to Twilight. "How about you? Is there anything you can do the Great and Powerful Trixie can't?" Twilight was nervous as she was trying to think of a way to get out of this situation. "Well, how about it, little hay seed?"

Both Twilight and Spyro looked over to Applejack, who looked annoyed at the unicorn, but walked up there to show her what she can do.

"Can your magical powers do this?" Applejack asked, using her tail to twirl a lasso around her, performing a bunch of rope tricks before sending it into a nearby tree, yanking an apple off before eating it. "Top that."

"Oh ye of little talent." Trixie said, removing her hat. "Watch and be amazed at the amazing magical power of Trixie."

A moment later, she used Applejacks lasso to make it move like a snake, captivating Applejack as she moved her head with the rope until it wrapped itself around her legs, turning her upside down in the air and stuffing an apple into her mouth, dropping her on her back.

"AJ!" Spyro exclaimed, running to her as she hoped off the stage, removing the apple. "You ok?"

"Ah'll be fine sugarcube." Applejack replied, getting the ropes off thanks to Spyro's help. "She just caught me by surprise, that's all."

"Once again, the Great and Powerful Trixie prevails." Trixie boasted, earning a death glare from Spyro.

"There's no reason for you to go strutting around and showing off like that!" Rainbow Dash said, leering at Trixie. "That's my job!"

She then took off into the air and flew to a windmill, spinning around it a few times before launching into the air, passing through several clouds before stopping and hovering in front of the sun. A moment later, she sped through those same clouds, pulling water out of them as she flew and hit the same Windmill, spinning around it a few times before shooting to the stage, skidding to a halt as the droplets hit her in the back, making a rainbow appear above her. Everyone in the audience cheered at the spectacle, amazed her feat while Trixie just looked bored.

"Wow Rainbow Dash." Spyro said. "That was amazing."

Rainbow Dash looked to Spyro and rubbed the back of her head, an obvious blush appeared after the compliment from Spyro.

"Thanks pal." She said, looking pleased with herself. "They don't Rainbow, and Dash for nothing after all."

"When Trixie is done with you, the only thing they'll call you is 'Looser.'" Trixie said, casting another spell.

Her aura surrounded Rainbow Dash and used her own rainbow to make a tornado that swallowed her up and spun her around, making her spin faster and faster as the twister flew all around the area until it landed on the ground, fading and releasing Rainbow Dash, who looked very disoriented looked like she was going to loose her lunch.

"It appears that whoever has any common sense knows better than to tussle with the Great and Powerful Trixie!" She said, using her magic to call a thunder cloud that shot a bolt of lightning onto Rainbow Dash's rear, making her yelp.

"Hey, not cool!" Spyro shouted, running up to his friend. "You ok? Where did the bolt hit you?"

"Anypony else want to try and match their magic with the Great and Powerful Trixie?" She asked, smirking as she believed no one else would try.

Spyro and his friends looked to Twilight, hoping she would stand up for her friends, but she looked petrified, sensing her fear as she didn't want to loose her friends. However, it was Rarity who stepped up, head held high as she thought the attention was for her..

"That's quite enough all of you." She said. "I can take your hint, but I will not stoop to having to show off like some street performers. For I conduct myself in beauty and grace."

"Oooh, what's the matter? Scared you'll split a hair in that rats nest you call a mane?" Trixie asked, striking a nerve.

"Rarity, don't fall for it." Spyro warned. "She's just trying to-"

"Oh it is on!" She growled, heading up to the stage.

"And she fell for it." Spyro said, smacking his hoof to his face.

Walking up to the stage, she used her magic to pull out some spare curtains that Trixie seemed to have in her carriage, using it to conceal herself as she seemed to be doing something. A moment later, she the curtain vanished as she was now in a beautiful blue dress with a gold saddle on her back, her mane done elegantly in a fashion that made even him whistle.

"A unicorn is more than just brute force and petty magic." Rarity said. "They are also about grace and beauty."

Everyone was in awe at how Rarity looked, amazing everyone around, but Trixie wasn't impressed as she just gave an evil smile and surrounded Rarity's mane in her aura before turning her beautiful and well kept mane into something green, untidy and unkept. Everyone, even Spyro's friends gasped in shock at the ruined hair, which freaked Rarity out as her eyes were wide in horror and fear.

"Quick, somepony get me a mirror!" She shouted. "I know she did something to my hair! What did she do!?"

"Nothing." Twilight said quickly.

"It's gorgeous." Applejack added.

"It's amazing." Followed by Rainbow Dash.

"It's green." Spike said, earning four angry glares from her friends.

She looked up and saw a few strands of her green mane, running off the stage as fast as she could to not be seen by everyone watching. Spyro tried to stop her and comfort the distraught mare, but she rushed past him, tears falling from her face as she ran away. That was the final straw for Spyro as he glared at the show boating and very cruel unicorn fraud, his eyes turning yellow and red as he walked up.

"That does it!" Spyro shouted, getting everyone's attention as he walked up, making a path for the enraged prince. "I care not who you are, what you say you do, or about your dumb feats of magic! No one hurts, embarrasses, or disfigures members of my herd and my friends and gets away with it." He jumped onto the stage and approached the bragging pony, starring in stunned silence at him as she never saw a pony like him before in her life. "You want a challenge, I'll give you one." He held out his hoof and called his Keyblade, appearing in his hoof, startling the mare. "If you're so great and powerful, then you should be able to hold onto this without any problem."

"Pfft, holding a giant key?" She asked, taking it with her aura and holding it. "I mean, what's so challenging about-"

She stopped talking when the Keyblade disappeared in a flash of light, spooking her and looking to find it back in Spyro's hoof, holding it with a grin telling her to take it. She tried again to hold it, but it did the same thing again and again, aggravating the unicorn as she didn't understand what was going on.

"Seems like you're not so great and powerful after all." Spyro said, leaping into the air. "And I doubt you can do this!"

He flew up into the clouds and surrounded himself in a dome of light, shattering to reveal he was in Storming Wisdom, lighting shooting out of his body as the skies darkened with storm clouds forming above him. Everyone was captivated by his transformation as he charged up his electrical abilities, launching them into the clouds to electrify them and chain to each other to form an image of his Keyblade, amazing everyone with the display. He even felt satisfied with himself, calming down as his eyes returned to normal and taking in the cheers from everyone. He looked down at Trixie and saw her jaw wide open as she watched everything happen.

He landed on the ground and smiled, pleased to have shown up the boasting mare when she tried to use her magic to make his thunderclouds electrocute him, but he just called his Keyblade and twirled it above his head, deflecting the lightning. She then tried her tornado trick, thinking that would show him, but he just swiped his hoof to the left and it disappeared, leaving her shocked and cornered.

"You aren't that powerful at all Trixie." Spyro said, dismissing his drive. "All you did was show off, put other ponies down because you thought yourself superior, and you even humiliated a few ponies just to prove how powerful you are, when in actuality, these are nothing more than simple parlor tricks and simple weather spells."

"But, the Great and Powerful Trixie vanquished an Ursa Major." Snips said. "I mean no disrespect, your highness, but did you vanquish one?"

"Highness!?" Trixie asked, shocked to hear what Snips just said. "He's royalty!?"

"Did you even see her defeat one Snips?" Spyro asked, not getting an answer from the little colts. "So, unless one of those ursa's comes into town for her to defeat, I'm not buying it. And neither should you."

He turned and ran off to find Rarity to make sure she was ok after what had just happened, leaving the crowd speechless and thinking about what he said, some even questioning if Trixie really did defeat and Ursa Major and to ask if the Everfree was near Hoofington. The crowd disbursed and went about their business, leaving only a few fans to stay and watch Trixie perform, who was still in shock after hearing he was royalty. At Rarity's boutique, he could hear her sobbing as she tried to fix her hair, walking through the front door as the bell rung, letting her know someone was at the front desk.

"I'm sorry, but we're closed at the moment." Rarity called out, still depressed.

"Rarity, it's me." Spyro said, seeing her head pop out from behind the curtains to see her friend.

"Oh, Spyro, it's you." She said, walking out from behind the curtains, her hair tidied up, but still green. "I don't know what she did to my mane. I haven't been able to turn it back. I used dye remover, I tried hot water and soap to scrub it off, I even used my own magic to turn it back, but it just won't come off."

"Here, let me have a look at it." Spyro said, examining Rarity's mane for any distinct signs, which thankfully he found something. "It's definitely a spell. What kind I don't know, but it should be easy for me to reverse. Hold on a second."

He conjured a bit of his power and focused it at the tip of his hoof, tapping her mane and watched at the green was slowly eaten away, restoring Rarity's purple hair, much to her delight. She ran over to the closest mirror and looked, her gloom expression filled with joy as her mane was restored to its former beauty.

"Oh Spyro darling, thank you!" She exclaimed, running over and hugging him. "You are a blessing sent from above!"

"It's no problem Rarity." Spyro asked, breaking the hug up. "And don't you worry about that Trixie, I used my own magic and showed her up. Heck, even some of the other spectators started to question in her own story was true."

"Well, that's a relief." She replied, heading back to the mirror. "I am so glad to have you as my friend."

"I'm just glad she didn't do something more permanently damaging to you." Spyro replied. "That's when I would have to get nasty over. Anyway, I gotta get back to the library. I promised Twilight I'd help her with her spells." He then turned to head put the door, but could sense some uncertainty in Rarity, turning to see her unhappy, thinking about something that seemed important. "Is something on your mind Rarity?"

"Oh, it's nothing Spyro, just wondering about something." Rarity replied, turning to face him. "I have been thinking, about you, me and Prince Blueblood."

"Ah, your heart is uncertain what it wants." Spyro said, turning to face her. "You are conflicted."

"Yes, I am." Rarity replied. "The princess made us a herd, and I like you, but I also dream of being with the prince of my dreams. But, I wanted to ask how you felt if I left the herd for him if he's my perfect prince. Would you or my friends hate me? Would you shun me if I did such?"

"Rarity, ease your mind." Spyro replied. "I wouldn't hate you. And neither would your friends. You are following your heart and I would be more disappointed in you if you didn't." He put his hoof on her shoulder, reassuring her of what he was saying. "The female pony will choose the male if they find him suitable enough. It's the choice of the female to stay or to leave the herd if they find the male is no longer suitable, so it is your choice if you wish to go and be with your prince or if you wish to stay with the herd. All I can tell you is, follow your heart as it will always point you to what you want most."

He then turned and left the boutique, leaving Rarity alone to think as she turned to face the mirror, looking at her own reflection as if to see if it will say something, but got no response from it. She then looked up the stairs, finding her little sister coming down the steps towards her, hearing everything they said.

"Do you really plan on leaving his herd Rarity?" She asked.

"I don't know Sweetie Belle." Rarity replied. "He saved me and has always supported me, talking to me and giving up some of his time to be with me. And even after I asked that question about what he would think, he supports me. Telling me to follow my heart as it will lead me to what I want most, but I'm even more confused than I was before." She then walked into her store, looking over the dresses she made and checking on a recent order she was given, thinking about all that her friend said. "My passion is to meet my prince and that prince is Blueblood, but my heart is telling me to remain with Spyro. It's so infuriating!"

Spyro left to return to Twilight to help her finish her spells as determined by the list, there was still a ways to go before they were finished, but as he was approaching the library, he saw Spike come out, looking frustrated about something. Before he could ask what was wrong, he spotted something in the distance, which peaked his interest and looked to see Snips and Snails running out of Ponyville while Spike seemed to go the walk the same way, looking disappointed. He wanted to follow and ask what was wrong, but he could sense Twilight was worried about something and went to the door, knocking on it, but not getting a reply, so he pushed the door open and when he entered, he could see she was hard at work reading through some books she has as if trying to look for something.

"Spike, I already told you, I am not going to show off my magic." She snapped, clearly annoyed at Spike. "I don't want to loose my friends just to show off my magic. You saw how they disliked Trixie's bragging, if I go out there and show off my magic, I risk loosing them as friends."

"And you wouldn't." Spyro said, startling her enough to turn around to look at him. "Standing up for your friends is different from showing off."

"Spyro, you startled me!" Twilight said, annoyed by her friend. "Do you get a kick out of scaring ponies?"

"Sometimes." Spyro replied, getting an angry glare from her. "Why are you reading books right now instead of practicing those spells you made?"

"Because I don't want to be seen as a show off like her." Twilight said, returning to her book. "I don't want to loose them because I was showing off the spells I know."

"As I said, you wouldn't loose them." Spyro said, walking up and wrapping his wing around her. "It's called standing up for your friends. Showing her that she isn't the most powerful pony and that she is nothing more than a charlatan who talks big, but is completely powerless. You saw how they cheered for me and how the crowd started to doubt Trixie after being bested by me and I still have my friends." He could still sense she was nervous, but also felt she was more comfortable after getting to hear what he said. "Trixie only cares about herself and about getting attention. She harmed and humiliated our friends. Standing up to her and showing off your magic is superior to hers isn't showing off, it's standing up for your friends."

Twilight felt relief after hearing Spyro talk, leaning into him as she rested her head on his shoulder, allowing herself to relax around his presence, feeling safer and much calmer than she did before. Outside of Ponyville, Snips and Snails were traversing through the Everfree as it was getting late, the sun beginning to set as night approached.

"Uh, maybe we should head home." Snails said, his stomachs rumbling. "I'm getting hungry."

"Not until we get an Ursa Major Snails." Snips said, looking around. "I know I heard somepony say that there was one somewhere near the cliff side in the Everfree."

"My, what are two little creatures like yourself doing in a place like this?" Came a female voice. Snips and Snails looked around to see who was talking until they found a black unicorn mare walking out from the bushes with two horns in the back of her head, holding a staff with her right foreleg and a crow was resting on her shoulder. "This place is filled with darkness, so why are you two out here, braving the creatures and dangerous plants that live here?"

'We're looking for an Ursa Major." Snips replied. "We wanted to show that stupid prince that Trixie can vanquish one."

"Prince?" She asked, a smile forming on her face."Well, as it happens, I know where one is." She waved her staff and blue flowers popped up from the ground, creating a trail to where they needed to go. "Just follow the flowers and they will lead you to the beast you desire."

"Thanks lady!" Snips said, running off to follow the trail.

"Yeah, thanks lady." Snails said, following his friend.

The dark mare watched as they followed the trail she had laid out, a nefarious smile creeping onto her face as she walked away. At the Golden Oak Library, Spyro and Twilight were reading some books, Twilight reading what appeared to be a bestiary while Spyro was reading the flower book MArluxia had thrown to him, finding a lot of different flowers, both dark and light, that could prove very useful and then opened the book that Demyx gave him, still wondering why he would just give him something that would save Fluttershy. They then heard some screaming, getting both away from reading to see what was going on, so Spyro opened the door to see what was going on outside and saw Trixie running and screaming bloody murder with Snips and Snails following just behind her.

"What's going on out there?" Twilight asked.

"I think Snips and Snails are chasing Trixie." Spyro said. "Maybe shes running away from dumb and dumber as they might be annoying her." A moment later, he heard something roar and looked back outside to see a giant blue bear with glittering stars all over its body looking madder than a bee, running after them. "Or maybe the two dimwits got a giant blue bear to come into town to prove Trixie was the unicorn she claimed to be."

A second later, Spike came running through the door, pushing the right door open and smacking him in the shin, making him yelp from the surprise attack.

"Twilight, we got a problem!" Spike exclaimed.

"Yeah, we can see that." Spyro said. "Did Snips and Snails bring that thing here?"

"Well, it was chasing them earlier." Spike said.

"I knew it." Spyro said, looking royally annoyed. "Dumb and dumber brought a massive blue bear to see Trixie 'vanquish' it. I'm going to make sure they don't end up being turned into glue. Twilight, think you can find a beat the over grown picnic bandit?"

"No need, I already have an idea." Twilight said, running out the door followed by Spyro and Spike.

The trio ran into the town, looking for the Ursa Major the two unicorns brought into the town, only able to follow its roaring that was loud enough to wake the whole town, which it did as lights from all the houses came on to see what was waking them up in the middle of the night. The trio had finally found the giant constellation cornering Trixie and the two colts, the mare looking absolutely terrified as she looked to the giant bear.

"Go on Trixie, vanquish the Ursa Major like you did the first time." Snips said, waiting for something to happen. "We brought the Ursa Major so you can show the prince you are the most powerful unicorn there is.

"You brought it here!?" She shouted. "Are you insane!?"

"We just wanted to see how you defeated it the first time." Snails said, both the unicorns waiting to see what she would do.

With her fans watching and the rest of Ponyville coming out to see what was going on, finding the Ursa Major and freaking out. With an audience watching, she used her magic to send her rope over to tie it up, smiling that she succeeded, but only two of its fingers as he just separated them and broke the rope, grinning and looking at her like 'That the best you got?'. Spyro just pressed his hoof to the temple of his head, not believing what was happening and then looked back to see what he could do to distract it until Trixie summoned a storm cloud to hit the enraged constellation, which Spyro knew was only going to make things worse. Before he could do anything, a bolt of lightning came down and hit the Ursa Major in the behind, turning it from an angry bee into a furious hornet, going on a rampage.

"Nice work Trixie, you made things worse!" Spyro shouted, flying in front of the giant constellation to where he was in view.

"What are you going to do?" Trixie asked, panic in her voice. "It's an Ursa Major! It'll kill you!"

Spyro didn't answer as he had only raised his forelegs, reaching out with the Force to calm it down, while the Ursa raised its paw to attack, but it froze, looking at the hybrid, all it's aggression disappearing as it lowered it's paw, just starring blankly at him. Everyone watched in confusion, trying to understand what was going on until he flew to his right, the Ursa following him as he flew away from the mare and the two colts. Trixie and the two troublemakers were shocked that he was controlling the Ursa Major, dumbfounded at what they were watching.

"Twilight, whatever you're going to do, do it now!" Spyro shouted. "I got him under control, but that might change if something comes out of no where, get what I mean?"

She nodded her head and her horn was surrounded in her aura, doing something and not knowing until he heard what sounded like a lullaby, realizing what she was up to. He lowered his foreleg and the Ursa Major snapped out of the trance he put it under, getting ready to attack, but heard the lullaby and got sleepy instantly. A moment later, Spyro saw Twilight use her magic to get the towns water tower, removing its lid and passing it through the nearby dairy farm, getting the tower full of milk. He smiled at what she was doing and was pleased, but saw the Ursa was about to fall on Trixie and unstrapped his bracers, zipping under the giant bear and lifting him up, showing how strong he really was to everyone as he lifted the bear up, the giant bear grabbing the container full of milk and drinking it like a baby.

"Smart thinking Twilight." Spyro said. "I'll get this little guy back to where ever he came from, you see to the two troublemakers while I'm away. We'll give them their punishment when I get back."

he then flew off, trying to find where he lived until he saw something he know he was going to have nightmares for a while as it was a giant purple bear that looked five times the size of the one he was carrying, looking around like it was looking for something. When she looked up and saw him, she looked enraged and was about to roar, but he flew down and did the same Force trick to calm the giant bear down, praying it can understand him.

"Good evening, ma'am." Spyro said, sensing it was a female. "I believe this little guy might be yours." He passed her the little bear, looking happy to have him back as she cradled him like a baby, releasing his hold on her. "I do apologize about that. Two of the colts from the nearby town wanted to get an Ursa Major to show everyone there that the pony they admire could defeat one." The giant bear looked at him, but returned her attention to the sleeping baby, but noticed the burn mark and got furious. "Don't worry, I got it."

He flew down and put his hoof on the wound, calming his mind as the burns glowed green, disappearing a second later, healing the little guy. He then flew to his head and tapped it, removing the memories of the colts and the village to keep it safe from the giant blue bear in case he decided to come back for some revenge.

"There, he should be ok now." Spyro said, floating back and the momma hugged her baby. "And don't worry, the colts who disturbed him will be punished, you have my word."

The giant bear looked satisfied with him as she saw how he treated her and healed her baby, nodding her head that she understood him and put her baby onto her back, carrying him back to the cave. He flew back to the village where everyone was cheering for him as he came back and for Twilight, who seemed happy as her friends surrounded her and complimented her, showing her that what he said was true.

"What'd I miss?" Spyro asked, looking to the crowd.

"Nothing much darling." Rarity said. "Twilight was just telling us that the Ursa Major that rampaged through the town was actually an Ursa Minor."

"Yeah, kinda figured that when I saw the mama." Spyro replied, shocking everyone. "The actual Ursa Major is about five times the size of the one that rampaged through here, maybe bigger."

"Wait, you saw the actual Ursa Major!?" Rainbow Dash said, surprised to hear that.

"Yeah, she was the little guys mother." Spyro said. "Had I not brought him back to her and wiped his memories of tonight, we'd be dealing with two angry constellations instead of one." he then turned his gaze to the two cowering colts as they feared what he was going to do, but turned to Rainbow Dash. "Rainbow, can you get a couple of Pegasi go around in the air and jot down what was damaged and bring it to me please?"

"No sweat." Rainbow Dash said, turning to three other Pegasi. "Thunderlane, Sunny Ray, Cloud Chaser, spread out and find everything that has been damage or destroyed in the town tonight for Spyro. Find everything you can."

The three Pegasi saluted and flew off into the sky to find what was destroyed or damaged. A moment later, he watched as Trixie came up, putting on a brave face, but was shaken from the events of the evening as her emotions were running wild.

"Well, you may have beaten an Ursa Minor, but you will never have the amazing power of the Great and Powerful Trixie!" She shouted, a cloud of smoke covering her until it disappeared, watching as the show mare ran away without her cape and hat, fleeing with her tail between her legs.

"Why that little-!" Rainbow Dash said, taking off to catch her.

"Let her go Rainbow Dash." Twilight said, stoping her as the show mare ran down the dirt road. "Hopefully she'll understand her lesson about bragging and how it can get you into trouble." She then turned her attention to the two colts, who were trying to sneak away, but were stopped by Spyro when he landed in front of them, Twilight Walking up behind him. "As for you two, you caused a lot of trouble tonight."

"Oh, hehe. Sorry for waking up the Ursa Minor, ms. Sparkle." Snips said, nervously looking between her and Spyro. "But your magic was amazing."

"Yeah. We just wanted to see some awesome magic." Snails said excitedly.

"And the way you two defeated the Ursa Minor was amazing!" Snips added, seeing the angry looks from the two of them, both of them kneeling down in fear.

"We deserve whatever punishment you give us." Snails said.

A moment later, Cloud Runner came back with a list of damaged items and passed it to Spyro, checking it over to see what was damaged and destroyed, but miraculously, it was only Trixie's wagon that was destroyed as nothing else was damaged or destroyed.

"Lucky for you two, the only thing destroyed was Trixie's wagon." Spyro said, handing the parchment to Twilight. "You two can start with cleaning that up. And tomorrow, we'll discuss the rest of your punishment with your parents." The two of them looked at each other, silently agreeing on something, but Spyro could sense that they were hiding something, so he walked up to them, not showing any anger, but curiosity. "Is there something you want to tell me?"

"Yes, we're sorry." Snips said. "We're sorry everypony. And if that lady hadn't told us where-"

"Wait, lady?" Spyro asked, surprised to hear that. "What lady?"

"There was a mare in the Everfree forest who magically summoned a path for us to the follow to the Ursa Minor." Snails said, shocking Spyro. "She was very strange."

"Yeah, and her pet! Super creepy." Snips said. "Why would a pony have a crow for a pet."

"A crow!?" Spyro exclaimed, realizing who they were talking about. "Did she have horns? Wore all black or had a black coat? And did she carry a staff with a yellow crystal ball at the top of it?"

"Yes, that's her." Snips said. "Down to the letter."

He felt color drain from him as Snips had just described the one person he did not want to be in this world in the slightest. Looking down at the colts and then to everyone, he grabbed his bracers and put them back on, now on a new mission.

"We'll discuss everything later you two." Spyro said. "And maybe your punishment might not be as bad as it was going to be originally."

"Spyro, you know who it is?" Twilight asked, concerned for her friend.

"Unfortunately yes." Spyro said, taking off and looking back to Twilight. "I'll be back in a moment to write to the princess. For now, this is a personal matter."

He took off and went to the Everfree to find the one he knew was in the forest, trying to find her through the Force to find the one Snips described to find and take care of her. As he flew, he spotted her and a certain obese mutt walking through the forest, dashing forward to intercept them. While on the ground, Pete was walking with his mistress, who was having a bit of trouble walking on all fours, but got the hang of it eventually, walking deeper into the Everfree towards the Ursa Major.

"You sure it's a good idea to go back there?" Pete asked. "That big bear didn't seem too keen on hurting the prince.

"A minor set back is all it is." The black mare said. "We will just have to take things into our own hands."

They walked up to the cave where the Ursa Major saw them coming and felt a touch of fear as they approached, shielding her baby as they walked up. Suddenly, something landed hard and fast in front of the cave, blasting dust everywhere as the two villains covered themselves to keep the dust from blinding them as the Ursa Major just shielded her baby. The three of them looked to see what it was only to see Spyro glaring daggers at the two villains, standing between them and the cave, looking extremely unhappy and ready to kill.

"Uh oh." Pete said, backing up. "I just remembered, I left the oven on."

He then turned around and ran away as fast as he could, abandoning his companion.

"You spineless imbecile!" The mare shouted, turning to face the prince. "So, you really are here your highness?"

"Can it you hairless harpy!" Spyro exclaimed, calling his Keyblade. "I know it was you who directed those two colts to the Ursa Major's cave. And I might have a good idea of what you are going to do, I am not letting that happen."

"Oh, and you're hoping to do that alone?" The mare said, laughing. "You are no match for the power that I wield. I will show you the full power of DARKNESS!"

Not amused by what she was saying, he took a few steps towards the witch, going to enjoy the workout he was about to have. With Pete, he was running out of the forest and out into the open fields, putting as much distance between him and Spyro as he already felt his full wrath once before, he did not want to be on the receiving end of that again. When he looked up, he saw Spyro's friends, Twilight Sparkle, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, and Spike who were getting worried about him and stood up tall, trying to be menacing.

"Well, if it isn't the princes lackeys!" He said. "Looks like I might have some fun after all!"

"Oh yeah, well bring it!" Rainbow Dash said. "We'll show you not to mess with us!"

Before they could get into a scuffle, they heard a fight going on behind Pete and eveyrone looked, not seeing everything, but hearing everything as it sounded like bloody murder as the mare screamed like Tom the cat, hearing every slug and strike, even hearing objects being broken and destroyed as spells were being fired until the mare was sent flying out of the forest and straight through a few trees before being stuck into the trunk of the last tree, her rear to the group as they saw her, defeated and messy. Everyone turned to look where she came from only to see Spyro walking out, walking out slowly, but his eyes yellow and red again.

"Oh, I ain't sticking around here!" Pete exclaimed, running to his companion to help her out of the tree and disappearing through a dark corridor.

"And don't come back." Spyro said, his eyes returning to normal.

"Yikes, ya'll took no prisoners there sugarcube." Applejack said, looking at the trees with pony-shaped holes. "Why'd ya go and smack her around like that? We could hear everything happening from here. Sounded like a cage match in there."

"Cause she had it coming." Spyro said coldly. "That, my friends, was Maleficent. She's the one who guided the colts to the Ursa Major's cave."

"Wait, that ghastly looking mare was Maleficent?" Rarity asked, looking disgusted. "She looked dreadful. No class at all."

"Well, she is the mistress of all evil, or so she calls herself, and so I doubt fashion is on her mind." Spyro said, walking up to his friends. "Sorry you had to hear the fighting. Didn't want her to get to the Ursa Major and Minor."

"Wait, she wanted them?" Twilight asked. "Why?"

"My guess is to make them both into Heartless." Spyro replied, starring at the holes. "Creatures of that size, they'd easily be Darksides, maybe more."

"Well, glad ya'll kept her from getting them." Applejack said, walking up next to him. "So, what will ya do?"

"If Pete of Maleficent come back, I'll fight them." Spyro said, wrapping his wing around her. "They are not getting this world."

"And what about Snips and Snails?" Twilight asked. "Why would she help them find the cave the Ursa Major was in? Why not just turn it into a Heartless if she knew where it was?"

"Who knows." Spyro replied. "Maybe she thought an innocent life at risk would be enough for me to slay the Ursa's without getting involved. Point is, I warned the Ursa Major about her after I beat her, so she's going to move to another cave to keep her cub safe."

"Wait, you talked to the Ursa Major?" Rainbow Dash asked. "Since when could you talk to animals?"

"Since when did you have a crush on me?" Spyro asked, sensing the rainbow mare's embarrassment and beating heart as she realized he knew.

"W-w-what are you talking about?" She said, flustered and trying to hide her blush.

"Aw, Rainbow Dash, you actually like him?" Rarity said, cooing at the pegasus. "I didn't;t think you had a soft spot for him."

"I don't!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed, trying not to loose her cool.

"Then why's your faces all red?" Applejack asked, the rainbow maned pegasus clearly flustered and trying to hide her blush.

Everyone laughed as the rainbow pegasus was trying her best not to show she liked him, but failed as her blush was almost impossible to hide, knowing she wasn't going to hear the end of it for a long time. Everyone went home as Applejack and Spyro got back to the farm house and went up the stairs, both being careful not to wake everyone up as they went to their rooms. As Applejack was about to enter her room, she turned to look at Spyro, who could sense she wanted to ask something, turning to talk to her.

"So, what're ya going to do with Snips and Snails?" She asked. "Ya haven't exactly given them a punishment."

"Well, I'll leave that up to their parents." Spyro replied. "I was planning on having them spend a month of their free time cleaning the whole town if it was trashed, but the only thing destroyed was Trixie's wagon. Since nothing else in town was destroyed, I'll let their parents have a crack at them."

"Ya'll are going easy on them." Applejack said. "Ah'd have given them six months of doing chores without playtime."

"Who said I went easy on them?" Spyro replied smirking. "There is nothing a kid fears worse than a punishment from their parents."

The two of them laughed, knowing what he was saying was true before going into their rooms. In his room, Spyro was taking his coat off and threw his bag on the nearby chair, but then looked back at it, a moment to think about something and got the unfinished spell book out along with a writing instrument and ink, writing something down on the page after the Hearts Final Connection.

Light of Redemption

I discovered a way to purify the heart as to cleanse it of the darkness that plagues it if they succumb to it. Like what is written for the Hearts Final Connection, the beings heart will have an anchor that will keep the light in their heart for however long it will take until they either find their light on their own or until someone comes and helps them. To cleanse the heart of its darkness, all you would need to do is hold your Keyblade over their heart when their light shines, unlocking the heart to enter it. Once in, you will see the heart in a dilapidated or corrupted way until a door will appear, entering the door, you will come to a place where they feel safe with different objects and items in the room to hide the anchor. Once you find it, a corrupted form of their true selves will come and talk to you, telling you about themselves, their struggles, and their fears. All you would need to do is listen to them and help them to find their light, help them to forgive themselves so they can accept the light back into their hearts. Once another door appears, that is when you know they will be ok and will return to what they were before being corrupted.
