Chapter 135: The Journey's End Part 2: Return of the Prince
Twilight was standing in front of Dark Gaia, her eyes red and yellow as she allowed her anger to take over, surprising Dark Gaia as he never saw anything like this before, but he just smiled, unaffected by the sudden change in eye color, but was then bombarded by different kinds of spells, catching him off guard as he dodged and avoid the attack before Twilight swung her blade, forcing Dark Gaia to block the attack before going on the defensive. Twilight continued her barrage of attacks and rage induced blows, swinging and slashing at Dark Gaia as he backed away and dodged her attacks, trying to attack her, but she blocked and dodged his attacks, retaliating and nailing him whenever he tried to attack, avoiding any and all injuries while her friends watched, completely shocked by how she was fighting.
"Wow, never seen her do any of that before." Shining Armor said. "That training must be really paying off."
"You said it!" Rainbow Dash said. "She's fighting like a demon! Guess you break her ring, you better be ready for the consequences."
"Um, something isn't right." Fluttershy said, watching Twilight fight. "She doesn't seem to be her normal self."
"Ah think yer right Fluttershy." Applejack said. "Something's different." They continued to watch the fight, watching as Twilight seemingly dodged Dark Gaia's attacks with little effort, Applejack watching closely until she saw, to her surprise, Twilight had Sith eyes, making her heart stop. "Sith eyes."
"What did you say darling?" Rarity asked. "It sounded like you were saying Sith eyes."
"Because Ah did." Applejack said. "Twilight's eyes are red and yellow."
"Wait what!?" Scootaloo asked. "She can use the force!? How!? Dawn said she wasn't capable of using the Force!"
"Maybe she's like you." Apple Bloom suggested. "Her powers only surfaced when either in danger or when she gets angry enough."
"Regardless, we need to stop her before she does anything she'll regret later." Luna said
Before they could go to help her, they turned and looked back at the fillies to let them know to stay back, but then saw that Xemnas was holding the book, much to their shock and horror.
"All twelve Heart Pieces in a single spot." Xemnas said. "And now that they are within reach, what need do we have of you?"
Without even a warning, Rainbow Dash and Applejack charged in, taking Xemnas by surprise as the Pegasus slashed upward and tossed the boom into the air, which Luna and Cadence flew for it and the princess of the night caught it, using her magic to hold the book, but Marluxia flew up using his own powers to use the petals to fly into the air as Larxene flew after him, throwing her daggers, but Cadence created a shield, blocking the daggers while Luna drew her sword and blocked Marluxia's attack, which he grinned as he looked at her.
"We meet again little princess." Marluxia said, breaking the guard and attacking again, but Luna blocked the attack, flying backwards as she tried to get some distance, but some Reapers appeared, blocking her way out and turning to see them. "Pity it wasn't under better circumstances."
"Shut up and get the book!" Larxene said.
She threw her daggers again, attempting to hit Luna, but Cadence recreated the shield and blocked the attack, continuing to be on the defensive while the others chose their targets. Applejack chose to fight Luxord, who was using his cards to try and confuse her, but Applejack was always guessing the right card he was hiding behind, shocking him as he fought her. Pinkie was facing Saïx, who was swinging his weapon and going into his berserker mode, swinging, but never hitting her while Fluttershy was fleeing from Zexion, who was creating spheres of Magnetic energy to attack her while creating illusions, chasing after her and trying to surround her. Vexed and Xigbar were teaming up and fighting Rarity, Shining Armor and Maya, Vexen using his ice magic while Zigbar fired his weapons, Shining Armor using his own magic to create powerful shields while Rarity fought off Vexen, who was using his scientific mind to try and defeat her while she dodged him with elegance and grace. Ansem however was approached the enraged unicorn mare, who was fighting Dark Gaia with all her rage, raising his hand to attack her, but a moment later, dark green flames stopped him in his tracks, making him freeze for a moment as Maleficent appeared in front of him, blocking his path.
"Step aside Maleficent." Ansem said. "My battle is with the pony, not you."
"Is that so?" Maleficent asked, summoning multiple Soldiers next to her. "I think otherwise."
Shaking his head, he waved his hand and multiple Armored Knights appeared, engaging one another while Maleficent and Ansem started fighting one another, casting spells and fighting with all the strength they had, flying and blasting one another as they flew around. As for Demyx, he was watching Twilight fighting Dark Gaia, seeing the rage in her eyes and how her strikes were deadly and precise, landing devastating blows on Dark Gaia and eventually knocking him down, breathing heavily as she glared at him, raising her Keyblade to deal the finishing blow as dark veins appeared along her body, her anger and rage taking hold as she was ready to end it.
"No." Spyro said. He grabbed Twilight's Keyblade, catching her off guard as she looked at Spyro, seeing how worried he was for her. "Don't do it. Not in anger."
Before she could ask, Dark Gaia took a shot at her, unleashing a torrent of dark flames at her, knocking her away and making her scream in pain as she flew over the edge of the island.
"TWILIGHT!" Maya shouted, knocking Vexen down before running to the edge, attempting to dive into the water, but Dark Gaia got in the way, creating dark flames blocking her path.
"Where do you think you're going?" Dark Gaia asked.
"Get out of my way!" Maya shouted.
"I don't think so." Dark Gaia replied, calling two blades of dark fire.
Enraged by what Dark Gaia had done to her friend, Maya called her Keyblade and engaged with Dark Gaian in a one of one fight, but a moment later, as Dark Gaia dodged an attack and threw Maya down to plunge the swords into her, a jet stream of water shot up, rushing past them before stopping, revealing it was Demyx that was there, playing his instrument as he smiled.
"Come on now dude." Demyx said. "Didn't your mother teach you hitting a girl is a big no-no?" Dark Gaia then sent a large ball of fire at him, which he created multiple clones of himself and became immune to the attack, hitting Dark Gaia as he tried to take down the clones before he took too much damage, Demyx walking over and helping Maya up. "Couldn't let a friend of Spyro's fight all alone. He's my bud too ya know."
"Well, since you're already here, a little help would be too bad." Maya replied.
She then summoned her Keyblade and with Demyx by her side, both charged towards Dark Gaia as he finished off the last clone, turning to them to fight them off as well. Meanwhile near the temple, the battle raging on as the fillies hid with Zecora, making sure they don't get hurt while they watched the carnage unfold, trying to avoid being harmed.
"This is bad and out of hand, we need to do something before this island is nothing but sand!" Zecora said.
"But what can we do!?" Apple Bloom asked. "How the heck are we going to fix this before it gets worse!?"
"What about what the book said!?" Sweetie Belle asked, avoiding a fireball. "When the eight together in the books embrace, the final piece will appear in a rapid pace! What did it mean by the eight!?"
"Eight what?" Scootaloo asked her. "Eight what!?"
She thought it over and over again in her mind, trying to figure out what the riddle meant by the eight when Rainbow Dash got knocked down by Xemnas, her ring breaking when she hit the ground, horrified to see her ring was destroyed as well, growing furious before rushing back to him to get some pay back. As she flew away, Luna was flying around, fighting off Marluxia when he knocked the book out of her magical aura, taking her completely by surprise as Psyrox finally got into the fight, leaping into the air and striking Marluxia, which he swung his scythe and nearly took the princess's head off, hitting the band on her ring as it fell and shattered, the book skidding to the fillies.
"Ah got it!" Apple Bloom exclaimed, grabbing the book and bringing it over to the rest of the fillies. "Now what?"
"Here, let me see that." Scootaloo said, taking the book and opening it. "When the eight together in the books embrace, the final piece will appear in a rapid pace. She was about to throw the book in frustration, calming down and hugging the book as she sat down, closing her eyes. "Spyro... we need your help. Please... what are the eight?"
She expected him to answer her, hearing only the battle going on out there and believing he was gone forever, but when she woke up, the moonlight shined down on Twilight's broken ring, the gem still intact as it shined in her eye, blocking it out before looking down at the book cover, finding that one of the slots matched the gem piece, her eyes widening as she realized what the eight were, running out into the fight as it raged on.
"Scootaloo, come back!" Sweetie Belle shouted.
"It is not safe for the fight is too dangerous, get back here before you explode spontaneous!"" Zecora shouted, running after her.
Scootaloo had reached the broken ring, scooping up the gemstone before Zecora picked her up and ran back to cover, avoiding the attacks as they came while narrowly being injured, diving behind some bushes as a ball of ice flew over them, just missing them.
"Scootaloo, you alright?" Apple Bloom asked.
"More than alright." Scootaloo replied, putting the gem piece in the slot. Everyone watched the book, not understanding what was going on until the gem started to glow, surprising them when they saw it glowing. "The gems in the rings. They're the eight."
"Of course!" Sweetie Belle exclaimed loudly. "What was given before the journey begun! It was meaning the rings! They were given to everypony in the herd!"
"And the message said that he made each of them with a piece of his heart." Apple Bloom added. "Ah thought it meant he took a lot of time and care to make them, but if pieces of his heart were in the rings the whole time..."
To test their theory, Zecora took her ring off and smashed it, surprising the fillies, but the zebra mare took the gemstone and put it in the slot shaped like her mark on her flank, the gray gemstone glowing as it was a perfect fit.
"You are correct, for the gem does so glow, we need to collect the rest before the enemy can know!" Zecora said.
A moment later, the fillies ran out to get the other gems before either the Organization or Maleficent figured out what they were up to, hoping they can get the other dems. With Twilight, she was floating around in the ocean unconscious, the attack having done more damage than she thought as she felt the burns all over her, floating and in pain until she stopped, feeling like she was no longer in the water, so she tried to open her eyes, half expecting to be back in her heart, but instead she was in the middle of a room full of stars, getting up and looking around, wondering where she was.
"Hello?" She called out. "Is anypony there?"
"Here young pony, I am." Yoda replied.
"Yoda!?" Twilight called out. She looked around, trying to find him when she finally found him, sitting on what appeared to be a log, smiling at her. "Yoda, I can see you now!"
"Ah, strong with the force, you are. Herh herh herh." Yoda replied.
"But how?" Twilight asked. "Dawn said I wasn't Force sensitive at all."
"Wrong, she was wrong." Yoda replied. "Force sensitive, you are. Just dormant for a long time, your power was. Yeesssssss."
"Is that why she's Force Sensitive as well?" Twilight asked. "Because she was created from strands of my hair, it means she can use the Force as well?"
"Mysterious, the force is." Yoda answered. "Make you one, being born or made from a force sensitive does. Force sensitive, Skywalker's children are, Galen Marek, of Kento son, jedi knight, was also force sensitive. And force sensitive, now Dawn is. Yeesssssss."
Twilight sat down, looking upset as she felt cold and sick at the same time, looking to the little green Jedi.
"Yoda, why do I feel cold?" Twilight asked. "And... I don't feel so good as well."
"Drawn to the dark side, you were." Yoda replied. "Your anger blinded you, to it made you vulnerable. Yes, hmmm"
"Guess I'd make a lousy Jedi, huh?" Twilight asked. "I let my anger get the best of me."
"Yes, stronger your anger made you, but also unbalanced as well." Yoda replied. "Your friend, stopped you he did, before fully turn to the dark side, you could. Yeesssssss."
"So, where am I?" Twilight asked. "What is this place?"
"The world between worlds, it is." Yoda replied. "To find answers, young Spyro came here before. To me for guidance and training he sought. Found more than he bargained for, he did. Hmmmmmm."
She looked to the sky, listening to Yoda as she wondered about what else was out there as Yoda got up and walked over to her, sitting next to her as he looked up as well.
"What happens now?" Twilight asked. "What do I do now?"
"For you to decide, that is." Yoda replied. "Tell me, what would you do if, fully wield the force, you could, hmm?"
"I would use it to protect my friends." Twilight replied. "And defeat those who would harm them and no pony could ever harm them again! I'll make Larxene pay for hurting Spyro!"
"Ah, so the jedi way, revenge is, hmm?" Yoda asked.
"No, it isn't." Twilight replied. "Spyro told me that revenge was the way of the Dark Side. When he sacrificed himself, I felt like I lost my entire world, feeling like my life had no meaning. And when the book showed that he can be brought back, I felt hope, happy that we can bring him back."
"Feel, good." Yoda said. "Tell me, how make you feel did it, hmm? When there was a chance to bring him back?"
"Alive." Twilight replied, putting her hoof over her heart. "It made me feel alive. He made all of us feel alive."
"Good, good." Yoda said, the room rotating. "Ahead of you, a difficult path, young pony. A Jedi, you may yet be."
She looked down at Yoda, wondering what he meant by that when she found he was no longer there, surprising her, but what surprised her the most was in his place was a crystal, using her magic to pick it up, looking it over and wondering what it was before the room changed, the stars flying into the air as land formed underneath her, realizing she was back on Angel Island, looking around and finding she was at the top of the temple, getting up to go see the fight going on, watching her friends fight the Organization while Sonic and Knuckles helped, abandoning the Master Emerald while Tails flew around helping however he could. Before she could go down to help, the Master Emerald started to glow, stopping her and making her turn around to see her reflection in the emerald, approaching it and putting her hoof on the emerald, feeling the power coming from it.
"The servers are the seven chaos." The Master Emerald said, surprising Twilight, but she never removed her hoof. "Chaos is power, power enriched by the heart. The controller is the one that unifies the chaos."
Twilight's eyes were sparkling as she watched the emerald glow brighter and brighter, not removing her hoof until she turned around, finding Spyro standing at the foot of the steps, smiling at her and extending his hand out towards her. Without questioning it, she turned and walked over to him and reaching her own hoof out, taking his hand as a golden light shined between them as they made contact. Back in the battle, everything was going wrong, Rainbow Dash was thrown to the ground as the two princesses where knocked out of the air and into the trees, Shining Armor taking his eyes off the enemy for a moment to see his fiancé get injured, but was then knocked upside the head, being thrown away along with Rarity right as Midnight and Rosy got in between them, fighting them off to protect the others right as Saïx finally nailed Pinkie, throwing her into the group as Applejack got thrown in with them as well, Fluttershy diving into the group to avoid being hit, everyone getting surrounded as Midnight and Rosy did everything they could to keep them at bay, being bombarded by attack after attack until they got knocked down, getting thrown into the pile as Maleficent and Ansem kept on the assault of one another, getting thrown off by their attacks.
The rest of the Organization was surrounding them, getting ready to finish them when Maya and Demyx got thrown into the pile, everyone looking up and seeing that Dark Gaia was smiling, approaching them.
"Demyx, what's going on?" Larxene asked. "Why did you side with them?"
"Hey, to fight a superior enemy, you gotta join forces with your enemy." Demyx replied, getting up and cracking his back. "Thought it was a good idea at the time."
"Well, it wasn't." Dark Gaia said, approaching everyone. "Soon the final world will be destroyed, the life essence of its inhabitants will be mine, and this world will be nothing but dust! The only thing keeping me from my goal is that world and the Master Emerald." He then looked up to see the world that was shining brightly and watching the dark tendrils move over to consume it, smiling as he watched them get closer, but a moment later, a bright golden light shined out and destroyed the tendrils, surprising him. "What... how!? How the heck did it destroy the tendrils!?"
"Because that world's heart is stronger than what you believed it would be." Twilight replied.
They all looked up, even the ponies and Maya as she got her bearings back when they saw her coming down the stairs, smiling as they saw her.
"Twilight!" Rainbow Dash said, struggling to get up. "You're ok."
"More than ok." Twilight replied. A second later, the seven Chaos Emeralds appeared in the sky, flying towards the ground and surprising them as they flew down, the Organization members ducking to avoid getting hit by them, but Dark Gaia wasn't as fortunate, the emeralds passing by him and hitting him, causing some damage as the gems floated around the lavender unicorn, making the organization members back away. "You won't be getting to that world and I won't let you destroy the Master Emerald either."
"You think you can defeat me?" Dark Gaia asked, laughing at her. "Those emeralds only work for those who are worthy enough to use them. You really think you're worthy enough to use them?"
Twilight didn't answer him right away, closing her eyes as if waiting for something to happen, which Dark Gaia found to be amusing, but a moment later, the horns started to play, the same music used when Spyro transformed, catching everyone off guard as they watched the emeralds spin around Twilight, her mane rising int the air, catching them all off guard. Dark Gaia was about to charge to stop her, but before he could move, a figure stood in front of her, blocking the way and confusing them at who it was until the figure was clear, revealing it was Spyro, his arms crossed as he glared at Dark Gaia, disappearing as a pillar of golden light shot into the air, blinding them all as the horns sounded. When the light disappeared, everyone looked at Twilight and to their surprise, she was golden yellow, her main instead of indigo, her mane was now yellow and red, her eyes red and her cutie mark was instead of pink, it was red and white, taking everyone completely off guard.
"Wow, incredible." Rarity said, pushing herself up. "What elegance and beauty."
"Impossible." Dark Gaia said. "I thought only the Hedgehog could use the emeralds power!"
"The emeralds powers can be used by anypony whose heart is pure and kind." Twilight replied. "Spyro's heart is pure and kind, always looking out for others and always helping when he can. And I'm not going to let you destroy his hard work for nothing."
She then lunged for Dark Gaia and slammed him in the head, sending him flying over the side before disappearing as Xemnas sent several lasers at him, but then reappeared, striking him across the back with her Keyblade, taking him off guard before the other members, minus Demyx, got involved, Marluxia swinging his scythe, Larxene throwing her daggers as Zexion conjured a large gravity orb, but she just disappeared again, the attacks missing her while Marluxia was unfortunate enough to get hit by the other two, getting skewered and crushed by the two attacks. Larxene and Zexion looked around to see if they could find the super powered pony, but before any of them could react, Zexion got hit by a massive energy blast, sending him into a tree before Twilight rushed at Larxene, punching her in the gut before kicking her into the air and launching herself. Larxene corrected herself to try and defend, but she was then bombarded by dozens of slashes from Twilight, dealing some serious damage to her before being kicked back to the ground, creating a massive crater before Twilight punched her again, making her go clear through Angel island and into the freezing waters below.
A few feet away, Ansem and Maleficent were both up of steam, having spent a lot of their energy fighting one another as they breathed heavily, but neither one of them were giving up. They got ready to go another round when they heard the explosion, looking to where it came from to find Twilight in her super form, now engaging both Saïx and Zexion, which Zexion tried to create another gravity spell combined with an illusion to throw her off, but Twilight moved too quickly for them, Twilight slicing through him before he could react, dark smoke coming off him before he yelled in agony, disappearing into the endless void.
"It appears the student of the princess has acquired some more power than before." Maleficent said. "It seems she has the power of this... 'Chaos Control.'"
"I've been on the receiving end of a version of that particular power." Ansem said. "The stronger version of it. I am not looking forward to being hit by that again."
"On that we agree." Xemnas said, walking over clutching his gut. "We'll let the others handle her. This world is about to go anyway. Once it's destroyed, we'll come back for the book."
"I'm actually in agreement with you on that." Maleficent said.
They then opened two different corridors into darkness, walking through to escape the carnage right as Saïx got knocked down on the ground, skidding to a halt as he spun in the air, falling unconscious. Xigbar knew he needed to act quickly, so he leapt onto one of the temple's and combined the two weapons and aimed through the scope, taking aim at Twilight as Luxord and Vexen engaging her, the remaining three members engaging the super powered pony, but Twilight just dodged Vexen's ice attack before flipping over and dodging Xigbar sniper shot before kicking Luxord as he tried to turn her into a card, landing him into a tree and through it, getting stuck from a single hit. Xigbar tried again to hit her, taking aim and having a clear shot, but as Twilight was engaging with Vexen, she noticed the sniper and grabbed Vexen with her magic, moving him in front and using him as a shield as Xigbar fired, hitting Vexen in the chest, tossing him aside before disappearing again, making Xigbar look around for where she went before he was picked up, catching him off guard and throwing him up, leaping towards the Nobody as he turned and took aim again, firing the weapon, but Twilight used her Keyblade to block the attack before spinning and slashing through him, causing serious damage to the nobody as be fell to the ground, clutching his gut as Twilight reappeared, seeing that many of the Nobodies had dark magic coming off them as they got up.
"She's too strong!" Larxene said. "We need to retreat!"
"Not without the book!" Saïx said.
He got up to continue the fight and charged straight for Twilight, the pony dodging his attack and fighting her as Larxene got up, but instead of helping with the fight, another corridor opened and both she and Marluxia ran away, going through the corridor and fleeing the battle field right as the remaining Nobodies got back up, moving to help their comrade. Meanwhile, the ponies and Maya had gotten their bearings again as Psyrox, Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails finally regained consciousness, looking to Twilight and watching as she was handling the four nobodies without any issue.
"Wow, she's a good fighter." Sonic said. "And she can use Chaos control too?"
"It appears so." Knuckles said, smiling. "Hey, I think she might be a better fighter than you Sonic."
"Hey!" Sonic exclaimed.
"Rarity!" Sweetie Belle shouted.
They turned and saw the three crusaders were running to them with Zecora, Scootaloo holding the book as they ran up.
"Sweetie Belle!" Rarity said, hugging her sister. "I was so worried. Are you alright?"
"I'm fine." Sweetie Belle replied. "But we got something!"
"You do?" Applejack asked. "Wait, is that the book?"
"And... is that the gems from our rings?" Luna asked, noticing four gems in the cover
"They are!" Scootaloo replied. "Remember the riddle Twilight read about the eight?"
"What does that have to do with our rings!?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"Well, remember how Spyro said he made each of the rings with a piece of his heart?" Scootaloo asked, the ponies nodding. "Well, they are the eight. Eight remaining pieces to completing his Heart! If we put the gems in the cover, it will complete his heart!"
"Wait, ya'll serious!?" Applejack asked. "If that's true... girls, take your rings off and get the gems off them!"
Rarity used her magic and pulled it off, trying to pull the gemstone off it, but had no luck, so she threw it down and smashed it, the gem remaining intact as she used her magic to pick the gem up and put it in the slot, the gem glowing as Applejack and Pinkie both pulled the gems off their rings and put them in the cover, both gemstones glowing, but Fluttershy was having the most difficult time getting the gem, she put it down and used a rock to gently tap it. However, it wasn't getting them anywhere, do Rainbow Dash took the rock and smashed the ring, the gemstone remaining in tact as Fluttershy seemed devastated, but picked the gem up and put it in the book cover of the book, completing the set and as they did, all eight stones started to glow, everyone smiling as the book was glowing. A second later, the Nobodies looked over and saw that the book was glowing as the last of the gems was placed in the cover.
"The book!" Xigbar exclaimed. "It's starting to glow again!"
"Quick, get the book before the heart appears!" Saïx shouted.
"Going somewhere boys?" Twilight asked.
Before they could act, the lavender mare shot past them and unleashed a barrage of energy based attacks, bombarding them with devastating attacks before they fell to the ground, more of the dark magical smoke coming off them, which they had no choices but to retreat, corridors opening and they limped through them, retreating as the corridors closed. Twilight then looked to the direction of the light and watched as the book stoped glowing, everyone thinking it failed again, but then the dragons head started to move, roaring out as the cover started to bubble up, the book moving strangely until a sphere came out of the book, floating in the air for a moment before going higher and higher, spinning around as two different vortexes appeared, a vortex of light coming down from the sky, connecting to the top of the sphere while one of darkness came from the ground, connecting to the bottom of the sphere as it spun, everyone smiling as they believed it was actually happening.
"We did it." Rarity said, smiling. "We did it."
"So you did." Dark Gaia said. They all looked in his direction and were then hit by a torrent of dark flames, sending everyone into the steps of the temple as Dark Gaia approached it, smiling. "At last. The Prince's heart is made whole. Once it's here, the universe will be mine!"
"Over my dead body!" Twilight exclaimed.
Dark Gaia looked down at Twilight and without a word, her Keyblade hitting his chest and light shined out of it, catching Dark Gaia completely off guard as he gasped in pain, looking down at the blade and to his surprise, there was a Keyhole there, Twilight twisting the blade to the right to unlock the path into the heart.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Dark Gaia shouted, lights shining out.
As the light grew brighter and brighter, everyone was forced to cover their eyes so they don't go blind while the light shined out, Twilight fell through darkness, screaming as she did as she wasn't;t use to free falling like that until she caught sight of what looked like a light, steering herself towards whatever it was until she managed to reach the light, landing hard on a hard surface and groaning as she felt the pain, getting up and rubbing her chest.
"Ugh, gonna feel that in the morning." Twilight said to herself. She got u and looked around, finding she was in someone else's heart, but it was fractured, multiple pieces of it gone with more pieces falling off into the abyss. "Where... am I?"
"You're in a heart." Spyro replied, appearing next to Twilight, freaking her out.
"Spyro!" Twilight said, breathing a sigh of relief. "Will you please stop doing that. But... why am I here? How did I get into someone else's heart? You're the only one who can enter someone's heart."
"Usually, yes." Spyro replied. "However, when I shared my power with you and with the others-"
"Wait, others!?" Twilight asked. "What do you mean by others!?"
"I mean our friends Twilight." Spyro replied, surprising her. "I shared my power with our friends."
"Does everyone in the herd have your powers?" Twilight asked.
"No, not everyone." Spyro replied. "Zecora and Luna don't have my powers. They don't even have Keyblades and I haven't shared my power with them."
"So, we're all immortal?" Twilight asked.
"Yes, the six of you are." Spyro replied. "For as long as I am the Prince of Light and Darkness, we will live long lives."
A second later, a door appeared before them, opening to allow them passage, but as it opened, there was no light shining out of it like it would usually do for hearts with light in them. They walked into the room and what they saw shocked them, finding that the room was completely destroyed, walls shattered, parts of the floor missing, even the furniture was smashed, nothing left but ruins.
"Is this... Dawn's room?" Twilight asked, her heart breaking when she saw it.
"What remains of it, yes." Spyro replied, picking up a ruined photo. "This is what happens when your anchor is destroyed. Darkness will destroy your heart, consuming you and your light until there is nothing left but darkness and ruin. Your friend lost her anchor, loosing her heart."
"And the will to go on." Dawn said.
They both looked in the direction her voice came from and saw Celestial Dawn, but her corrupted form wasn't what they thought it was, her form was her normal look, but instead, she was fading from existence, looking depressed and void of happiness, looking up to Twilight and Spyro as she continued to fade.
"Dawn..." Twilight said, walking up to touch her, but her hoof passed straight through her, surprising her. "What's happening to you?"
"Her heart is fractured." Spyro replied, kneeling down next to her. "Her heart is broken due to darkness. She is fading from existence."
"You mean... her heart is shattered?" Twilight asked, looking at her as she continued to fade. "No, there has to be a way to save her! There has to be!"
"Without a heart with light in it, she can't stay." Spyro replied. "I'm sorry, there's nothing we can do."
"Please, we have to do something!" Twilight said, trying to put her hoof on Dawn's shoulder, but it passed through her. "Please, you can't go."
"There's nothing you can do Twilight." Dawn replied, smiling at her. "You know, it would have been nice, having a sister and a brother, and maybe a mother and father too. If I had the chance, I would love to have gone to Equestria, meet my new family, having a life, it would have been nice."
"Dawn..." Twilight said.
"It's was good to meet you Twilight." Dawn said. "You and your friends."
She then started to fade even faster, horrifying Twilight as she was about to cry, when she stood up, looking determined to help her.
"No, I won't let you fade from existence!" Twilight exclaimed. "You can share my heart!"
"Wait, come again?" Spyro asked.
"Twilight, what are you saying?" Dawn asked, her voice becoming quiet and hard to hear.
"Spyro, is it possible for me to share my heart with her to save her life?" Twilight asked.
"Well, it is possible to share a heart, but also very risky." Spyro replied. "You would need a strong enough connection to one another for it to work, but that alone is risky on itself. Once the connection is made, then it cannot be broken. Her heart will be with you until her own can repair itself. Twilight, are you sure you wish o do this?"
"Yes, I'm sure." Twilight replied.
Taking in a deep breath, Spyro got up and walked in between the two ponies, kneeling down and closing his eyes, exhaling as he sat down.
"Twilight, open your heart to Dawn." Spyro said. "Let your Heart reach out to her, allow what remains of her heart to merge with yours, let two become one."
Twilight looked to Dawn, not knowing what to do, but she closed her eyes and sat down, which Dawn did the same and as they did, the scene then shifted to Twilight's heart, both her heart and what remains of Dawns heart side by side as the two pillars stood, moving closer to one another until they touched, both pillars moving into one another. Ad the pillars moved, Dawn's body started to restore itself, becoming more tangible as a light shined between them, the two pillars became one as the stain glass started to shine brightly, encasing everything in light. In the real world, the light was starting to dim down, everyone now able to see what was happening when they saw Twilight floating in the air, floating down and landing on the ground as her golden form disappeared, Twilight returning to normal.
"That... was... awesome!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed. "That was totally wicked!"
"You said it Rainbow Dash!" Pinkie said. "She was all, WHOOSH, SLASH, SLICE, it was the greatest thing ever!"
"Where's Dawn?" Applejack asked. "Is she ok?"
Twilight looked down on the ground, silently letting them know she wasn't ok and she wasn't going to come back, everyone feeling terrible as they had a moment of silence for their fallen friend. However, it was then broken when Saïx got up, getting ready to charge and strike, but Psyrox appeared and slashed him across the chest, nearly destroying him when Demyx came around, grabbing him as Xigbar and Luxord got up, looking to him in horror.
"Go." Psyrox said. "Take your fallen ally and leave this world. You already lost three members of your order, don't become part of those losses."
They looked at one another, making a silent agreement as a corridor opened up underneath them, fleeing into the darkness as Psyrox turned to his friends, looking to the sphere as the vortexes kept a steady pace, almost nothing happening.
"Why is it just floating there?" Apple Bloom asked. "Shouldn't it be doin' somethin'?"
"It's waiting for the final piece." Psyrox replied, walking to it.
"The final piece?" Rarity asked.
"You restored his heart, but the heart is nothing without the body and the soul." Psyrox replied. "We need his Nobody."
"HIS NOBODY!?" They all shouted.
"Why didn't you say so sooner!?" Rainbow Dash asked. "We were looking for his heart, but we now need his Nobody!? Where the heck are we going to find his Nobody!?"
"You don't need to look far." Psyrox replied.
He then called his Keyblades, surprising the ponies, the Mobians, and Maya when he threw the blue and white blade into the white vortex, the teeth pointing into the air as he threw the red and black blade into the black vortex, the teeth pointing into the ground.
"Psyrox, what are you doing?" Cadence asked.
"The final piece to bringing him back is for his Nobody to willingly return his heart or to be destroyed." Psyrox replied, turning to them. "It was an honor and pleasure to be with you all."
"Psyrox, what are you saying?" Shining Armor asked.
Psyrox didn't reply as he closed his eyes, allowing him to float into the air as the orb started to spin faster and faster, the Nobody glowing golden as he separated into particles of red and blue, going into the vortex as he disappeared, the orb glowing as it got ready. However, as they were waiting with anxiously, the water erupted from the sea, making everyone turn to the ocean to see Dark Gaia in his serpent form, his far right eye seriously damaged as he growled in anger.
"You think you've won!?" Dark Gaia asked, anger burning in his dark heart. "You will never be the victors! I will claim that heart, I will become a god of destruction, and this entire universe will BURN!"
It fired multiple beams of dark energy towards the group, Shining Armor and Cadence creating a shield to block the attack, but as the beaks hit the shield, cracks were starting to form, making everyone worry as Luna used her own magic to help strengthen the shield, but the cracks continued to grow, making everyone worry and huddle together, bracing for the worse as the shield broke and everyone got ready for their doom, but nothing happened, looking up to see the energy blast was being stopped by an unknown force, being pushed away until it was redirected back at Dark Gaia, nailing him in the head and knocking him back. Everyone looked to who it was that helped them, even Dark Gaia and everyone eyes widened when they saw who it was that saved them, Spyro, who was now wearing a new jacket, dark purple in color with black and white gems lining the sleeves with the two dragon shoulder guards on his shoulders, wearing hit black pants with black shoes, but his t-shirt was white instead of yellow, his hair a darker shade of purple as he called his Keyblade, smiling as he looked up to Dark Gaia.
"It can't be." Dark Gaia said, backing away.
"Spyro." Twilight said, a tear rolling down her face as she smiled.
"Mares and Gentlecolts, creatures of species, the Prince has returned!" Spyro said, smiling as he stood before Dark Gaia, ready for the next battle to begin.
