Toshineko and the others were still in the white void, their feet standing on the invisible ground, as Toshineko was still working on the bond thing with the James Bond villain look-a-like, Crocodile and Professor Moriarty.
"So," Itachi said while smiling. "what do you think, Professor?"
Professor Moriarty read the book, The Silence of the Lamb, and appeared intrigued. "Very good novel, Itachi. Though, I must say, this Hannibal Lecter chap has a rather… disturbing quality about him. That being said, his masterplan was very impressive, and he does have a refined taste in his moral code."
"Great! And what about you, Sir Crocodile?"
Sir Crocodile had a cigar in his mouth and he scoffed while reading a James Bond novel, You Only Live Twice. "What a showoff. This Blofeld dude thinks he has a better lair than I do? That Persian cat of his would be no match for my banana crocodiles. Although, I do have to say…" Crocodile smiled before he blew a puff of smoke. "... his plan was well thought out indeed."
"You see, general?" Itachi said, feeling more proud. "They love those novels!"
Toshineko smirked in response. "I'm glad we found a way to build some chemistry in our council."
His agents, however, were less than thrilled. "I can't believe we spend 2 hours waiting for two humans to finish reading such garbage novels," moaned Kitsune. "This is a waste of time! This bond between these humans makes me sick."
"Sir, with all due respect," Ookami said, groaning. "I really think we should go ahead and start planning on conquering our world. This is the whole reason we are here in the first place, right?"
"Don't worry, Ookami," said Toshineko, waving down his hand in a calming gesture. "we'll get to that eventually. We still have to work on bonding with each other." Toshineko gave Crocodile and Moriarty a friendly smile. "Perhaps we can talk more about our hobbies."
The two thought about it and both nodded. "Indeed, we shall," Moriarty replied. "You know that I love reading."
Sharpwolf groaned. "This is ridiculous!"
"But, I also love to-" Before Moriarty could finish, he spotted another human. "Wait, who is that?" The human appeared to have a brown beard and blonde hair. He also wore the same sophisticated clothes like Toshineko's agents. Although, the only difference was that his suit was colored blue. He appeared just as confused as everyone else who entered.
"Where the hell am I?" he said in German. "Is this one of Joseph Takagi's doings? If he thinks he can trap me in here, he is sadly mistaken."
While everyone looked surprised, Sharpwolf stared at the human with googly eyes. "Oooh my! He looks sooo handsome!"
Kitsune groaned as he rubbed his forehead. "And here we go again…"
"You there!" the human said in English. "What is this place? And who are you freaks? Answer me, or you'll be fired upon." The human pulled out his handgun and aimed it at everyone.
Toshineko stroked his chin. "Hmmm… Such a dramatic entrance. Could he be some kind of… terrorist?"
"Pathetic," said Crocodile. "You and your empty threats mean nothing to me. You better put down your toy."
"I am not the one who entered here on purpose," the human said, his tone calmer, despite his cold look. "And considering that I'm new here, you should be more polite."
"Bold words from someone who is about to turn into a mummy," Crocodile replied, summoning a small sand tornado, shocking the human.
"What the…? What is this magic trick? I haven't seen such power in all my life."
Moriarty stood between Crocodile and the human, making blocking gestures. "Alright, gentlemen, let's stop the fighting and allow me to explain what is going on."
In response, Crocodile made his sand tornado disappear and sighed. "Fine…"
"I do apologize," Moriarty said in German, surprising the human. "we're not used to meeting new strangers yet."
"You speak German?"
"Indeed I do. You, my friend, are in a Council of Evil Masterminds."
The human looked more baffled. "Council of Evil Masterminds?"
"That's right," Moriarty said, nodding.
"Wow, Moriarty!" Itachi said with genuine astonishment in his voice and facial expression. "I didn't know you speak German!"
Moriarty smiled towards Itachi. "I've been practicing German with some of my subordinates. Though, my German is still a bit rusty."
The human sniffed and cringed. "Can somebody tell me where that awful odor is coming from?"
"Oh, you can thank Crocodile for that one," Kitsune said.
"We told you to hit the showers, Crocodile," Ookami said, swiping his hand. "your lack of hygiene is really making people uncomfortable."
"Go to hell, Ookami," Crocodile said, glaring at him.
Ookami crossed his arms. "Been there… in the battlefield. Many times."
The human put his gun back in his pocket. Although his defenses were lowered, he still decided to keep them up a bit. "Alright," he said in English. "now tell me who you are."
Toshineko nodded. "Of course. My name is Toshineko Hirozaki. And these are my agents," he said, pointing at them with his hand and introducing their names. "This is Sir Crocodile, and this is Professor James Moriarty."
"We are the Council of Evil Masterminds," said Moriarty. "and we are trying to collaborate with Toshineko to conquer his world."
The human looked more confused than relieved. "Wait, wait, hold on… conquer your world? Hmmm…"
"Something wrong, sir?"
"I'm sorry, but, I'm not some world-conquering type. I am a thief. Or rather, an exceptional thief."
"Wait, so… you're not actually a terrorist?" Toshineko asked, to which the human chuckled in response.
"Who said I'm a terrorist?"
"How is that possible, sir?" Itachi asked. "I thought this ritual summons masterminds who love to conquer things."
Toshineko darted his eyes, as if he had somehow been scolded and had some explaining to do. "Well, I think I might have been too vague about the words 'Evil Masterminds' when I recited the Mastermind Incantation."
"Oh," Itachi said, nodding. "That makes sense."
"I wonder if this is the first time you have made such a mistake," Crocodile said while smiling arrogantly at him. "I must admit, you have been pretty consistent so far."
"Leave me alone," Toshineko said, frowning. "It was my first time doing a ritual."
"Anyway, human, would you be so kind as to introduce yourself?" Haena asked.
"Hmm… Yes, I suppose I should. I am Hans Gruber, and I am the leader of my own criminal organization who tried to organize the takeover of Nakatomi Plaza."
"Well, it's nice to meet you, Mr. Gruber," Toshineko said, bowing dramatically. "And if I may deduce, I would say that you used to be a terrorist, but probably got expelled."
Hans widened his eyes in shock. "How did you know?"
"Well, it's quite simple, really," said Sir Crocodile.
"Let us deduce together like gentlemen, shall we?" said Moriarty as he and Toshineko stroked their chin. "The weapon you possessed seemed to be from a German terrorist group, judging from the model."
"And like you said, you tried to organize a takeover of the skyscraper," said Toshineko. "That might explain why that group expelled you in the first place. Perhaps your methods of terrorism were quite different from theirs."
"Indeed," said Crocodile. "The fact that you were willing to take over that skyscraper means that you attempted to steal some money there. Or rather, some bearer bonds that were kept in the vault."
"I must say, the fact that you're able to take over such a massive skyscraper tells me you are an exceptional thief indeed. Very impressive, Hans," Toshineko said, smiling.
Hans Gruber blinked, frozen in shock. "O-oh my… I am speechless, guys."
"So are we," Haena said as he and the other agents looked shocked.
"A former terrorist, huh?" Kitsune said. "That group must have decided that he was… too sophisticated for them."
"Wow! Great deduction as always, Professor!" Itachi said, to which Moriarty chuckled.
"Elementary, my dear Itachi."
"Would you be interested in joining us, Mr. Gruber?" Toshineko asked.
"Hmm… Well, I'm not sure," Hans said, trying to think about it. "My mind has been set on getting those bearer bonds. But taking over the world? That is something I'm not experienced in. But I would love to learn how to do that. My organization would be unstoppable."
"We can help you on that, Mr. Gruber," Moriarty said. "We can share some tips, our intelligence, and schemes."
"Well, that would be very kind of you. Alright, guys, you can count me in."
"Alright then. Welcome, Hans Gruber," Toshineko said.
"Would you like some tea or coffee?" Moriarty asked.
"Neither," Hans said.
"Something stronger, perhaps?"
"No, but, do you guys have any Lego sets here?" Hans asked, smiling.
His question baffled everyone, including Toshineko. "Uh, a what now?"
"Lego sets. Do you have them?"
"What the hell is a lei go set?" Crocodile said.
Hans looked as if he was offended. "Seriously? You never heard of Lego before? I always loved building Legos and models when I was a boy. The exactness, the attention to every conceivable detail. It's a fine work of art I'm telling you."
"Well, I'm sorry to tell you this, Hans," Toshineko said, looking away. "but I'm afraid there are no Lego sets here."
Hans frowned. "Oh… Well, that's a real shame."
"Hey, so, Hans Gruber, right?" Sharpwolf asked, looking at him with flirtatious eyes. "I just wanna get this out of the way, you're really cute. And you have a nice suit."
Hans wasn't sure what to make of that statement. "Um… thank you, I guess."
"Would it be possible if you were to go out on a date with me? We'll go to the most expensive restaurant we can find, afford a love hotel, and then we get down and dirty in bed. What do you say, darling?"
"Sorry, but, you're not my type."
"Sharpwolf," Kitsune said, moaning. "would you refrain from flirting with the guests? Questions like these are the reason why we almost got killed in the first place."
"Kitsune is right, Ms. Sharpwolf," Moriarty said, giving her a scolding look. "It is bad form to be acting like that in front of our guests."
Sharpwolf pouted. "You men are no fun…"
"Anyway, guys," Toshineko said, putting his hands together. "perhaps we should talk about what our plans were before entering here? I believe it would be a great opportunity to show what we are capable of."
Ookami sighed. "Great… This is going to take a while…"
"Ookami," Haena said, trying to comfort him. "have a bit of faith in our leader. He'll get to the conquering our world part eventually."
"I agree with Haena," Itachi said. "Besides, I love to hear what their masterplans were."
"Let's start off with you, Crocodile. What were your plans in Alabasta?"
Crocodile sighed as he grabbed another cigar from his pocket. "Very well." He put it in his mouth and lit it. He blew a puff of smoke. "You see, I have heard that there was a powerful warship called Pluton."
"Pluton?" Itachi said, raising his eyebrow. "Like the Greek god Pluto?"
"Well… I guess so. I have heard that one cannon blast is enough to destroy an entire island."
"Wow," Sharpwolf said. "that sounds extremely powerful!"
"Indeed it is. I have heard that it was hidden within the country of Alabasta. In order to obtain it, I needed to first orchestrate a civil war in the country. To do that, I have created a criminal syndicate called Baroque Works, which contained elite combatants and spies. Each of them was sent to infiltrate the ranks of the Rebel Army and the Royal Army. I have managed to frame King Cobra for the use of Dance Powder, the powder that I used to make artificial rain, and planted it on the capital of Alubarna to make it look like the king used the powder for himself."
Crocodile blew another puff of smoke, as Kitsune grinned more evilly. "I have also recruited my right-hand man… or woman, if you will, named Nico Robin, who I codenamed 'Miss All Sunday', to help me search for Pluton, as she is the only person who can read the Poneglyphs. I then fooled the public into thinking I was their hero by taking care of invading pirates, which helped throw off any suspicion of my activities. Once the civil war starts, I'll be able to take over the country. I'll gain more influence, and will soon become more powerful than even the World Government. It will be a utopian country for me."
"Are you sure this would work, Crocodile?" Sharpwolf asked. "If you do that, the World Government might be going after you."
"Yeah, well, they probably would. That was why I needed to look for the powerful Pluton."
Kitsune chuckled. "Impressive, Crocodile. Framing the king of Alabasta, and orchestrating a civil war. Very human of you…"
Crocodile chuckled as well. "Why thank you…" His smile faded when he realized what the fox just said. "Wait, what the hell does that supposed to mean?"
"Oh, you know how humans are, they always backstab, scheme, and conspire," Kitsune said, his grin more apparent.
"I'm sorry, Kitsune, but… are you being racist?" Hans said, glaring at him. "What's next? You're going to tell me that all Germans are oppressors too?"
"That was very uncalled for, Kitsune," Moriarty said. "I do not support racism at all."
"Me? Racist?" Kitsune scoffed. "Not at all. I'm just saying that human nature has always been selfish. Crocodile has done the smart thing and lived what a human should live."
"Um, Kitsune, could you tone down your comments a bit?" Toshineko said, his voice firm. "I think you got everyone upset."
Kitsune rolled his eyes and sighed. "Fine… I will stop. I'm sorry, everyone," he said, no remorse in his voice.
"But, I must say, Crocodile, that is such an absurdly well thought-out plan," Toshineko praised. "Framing the king of Alabasta, and manipulating both sides to orchestrate a civil war all for the powerful warship Pluton. That requires a lot of planning for sure."
"Yeah," Hans said, his tone impressed. "I wonder if I could attain a weapon like that in my world. That would be awesome."
"I really like the way you plan, Mr. Crocodile," Moriarty said. "I had a plan that is similar to yours, but with a different goal."
"Oh, really?" Crocodile said, smiling. "What was it?"
"Well, like you, I managed to gain quite a good reputation in the public, but as a math professor. I also managed to throw off any suspicion about my activities by orchestrating assassinations that make them look like heart attacks or suicides. Not only that, I have planned to orchestrate a war between two countries, France and Germany, so that when I take over the companies that sell the supply of weapons, I would become the richest person in the world."
"Wow! For real?" Hans said. "Huh… why didn't I think of that?"
"And what about you, Hans?" Toshineko asked. "I know we've deduced some part of your plan. What was the rest?"
"Hmm… Well, like you said, I have planned to steal millions of bearer bonds. To do that, I first coerced Joseph Takagi to give me the code, but he didn't have it. So I had my hacker to try and open the vault for me. There was only one problem. In order for the vault to open, the power in the skyscraper needed to be shut down. So I came up with a plan. I've pretended to be a terrorist ordering the release of various terrorist groups around the world. In Northern Ireland, the seven members of the new Provo front. In Canada, the five imprisoned leaders of Liberty De Quebec. In Sri Lanka, the nine members of the Asian Dawn."
"Asian Dawn?" Itachi said, sounding very annoyed. "Really?"
"I've read about them in Time magazine. Anyway, the purpose was to lure the FBI into shutting down the electricity. The FBI, you see, believed that doing it would scare the terrorists and distract them so they could finish them off quickly and easily. Once the electricity is down, the vault will open, and we'll be rich enough to retire in peace. And hopefully, escape from the authorities."
"Impressive, Hans," Haena said, smiling. "I can see that such a risky plan must have paid off."
"It would be… had it not for that cowboy, John McClane."
"A cowboy?" Ookami said. "Figure of speech?"
"Yes. He's the only person who could foil my plans. If I could find a way to get rid of him, my plans would succeed."
"I feel you, bro," Toshineko said, his tone sympathetic and understanding. "Being an evil mastermind is hard enough. But that always means you have to deal with an arch-enemy."
"Very well said, Toshineko," Moriarty said, nodding.
"Do you have an arch-enemy, Moriarty?" Itachi asked. "Someone like Sherlock Holmes?"
"Yes, I do. He has the same deductive abilities as I do and presents a great challenge to me. But my respect for him was the only reason he was still alive. He is a very worthy opponent."
"And you, Crocodile?"
"Well… That would be Princess Vivi, otherwise known as Miss Wednesday, as well as that pirate, Straw Hat Luffy," Crocodile said as if he was deeply troubled by what he said. "Vivi managed to infiltrate my organization and has teamed up with Luffy and his group of pirates to foil my plans."
"What were their powers, if I may ask?" said Itachi.
"Well, Vivi doesn't have any Devil Fruit power of her own. But Luffy has eaten the Gomu Gomu no Mi, gaining him the power to use rubber."
"Rubber?" Hans said, baffled. "That doesn't sound powerful at all."
"It doesn't. But, that Luffy was a more annoying opponent than I thought. Although I did manage to take care of him in the desert. So I guess Vivi is the only arch-enemy I have left."
"And what about you, Toshineko? Tell us about your plans," Moriarty said, as everyone looked at him.
"Yes, Toshi. I am listening," Hans said looking more intrigued. Toshineko knew it would come. He smirked deviously.
"Very well, then. You see, before I started my masterplans, I was a general in my army who invaded nation after nation. I have deceived the members into thinking that I was going to free them from the tyranny of their governments. What they didn't realize was that I intended to give these nations the illusion of freedom so that I would rule them unopposed. However, after suffering heavy causalities, I've realized that outright invasion was not the way to go. So, I first decided to fake my death by dressing up one of my members to make him look like me. Then, once there was a protest going on while he was captured, I had one of my sleeper agents disguise as one of the protestors, and he would have him captured, then rip out his head off."
"Holy crap!" said Hans. "That sounds brutal!"
"I know," Toshineko replied, nodding. "But it was necessary for my plan. Anyway, I had him rip out his head in order to force the coroner, who was also my sleeper agent, rely on DNA so that it looks like it was me who was dead. But that's just the tip of the iceberg. I've also decided to orchestrate a war between two superpowers, Audia and Carmonia, by orchestrating a series of false flag operations, having my sleeper agents infiltrate the ranks of both armies. Then, for my second masterplan, I have orchestrated a civil unrest in Carmonia by having my sleeper agents infiltrate as the Rota City police officers, F.J.A agents, the D.T.G movement and the Carmonian National Guard."
"Wow, that's a lot of men to pull that off," Crocodile said.
"Indeed there were. Not only that, I encountered a human named Jack Tuggs. He was an ambitious human who happens to read dead languages in his study or archeology."
"Hmm… What a coincidence. Was Jack your right-hand man?"
"Actually, no, Crocodile, but, I did manipulate him and turned him into my side."
"Oh, is that so?" Crocodile said, grinning ear to ear.
"Exactly. I told him a story about me being this 'lone wolf' who wanted to save Carmonia from corruption, just like how I intended to 'save the world from tyranny'. I also gave him the offer of creating the D.T.G movement, or Defund the Government, to have him get Joseph Olson elected for king."
"Wait, hold on, there's a monarchy democracy in your world?" asked Moriarty.
"Apparently so. In my world, a king can get elected by the people like a president would. Anyway, where was I? … Oh, yes. Of course, what I didn't reveal to him was that I was going to make it look like King Sir Aaron and his men were conspiring against the opposition against him. And once I had Joseph arrested for the trumped-up charge of 'unauthorized disclosure of classified information', people will riot and once the civil unrest starts, I'll have Jack tell me where this advanced technology, KATAFIA, was."
Crocodile smiled wider the more he listened. "Hmmm, nice. So what is this KATAFIA?"
"Well, it's the most advanced military technology in the world, used by the Carmonian military. Though, I didn't want to use it for myself. I planned to destroy it. That way, nobody could oppose me when I took over the world."
"Hold the phone here, Toshi," Hans said. "You said you had a 'second' masterplan? What happened to the first?"
Toshineko widened his eyes. "Uuuummm…" He then had a flashback to where he saw a particular arch-enemy of his fight against the Audian military by himself while the Carmonian military watched in amazement. "... Let's just say, there were some inconveniences that made me rely on the second one."
"Huh… Well, I guess you can't go wrong with a backup master plan."
"And who is your arch-enemy, Toshineko?" asked Moriarty. Toshineko clenched his fist just thinking about it.
"That would be that meddling dog, Lucario."
"A meddling dog?" Crocodile said. "Is that also a figure of speech?"
"... Uuh, no, he's a literal dog, actually. One with blue and black fur, short, round spikes on the back of his forepaws, and on his chest, red eyes, a long snout and ears. He also had blue shorts, as well as two pointy blue ears, and a cream-colored fur on his chest."
Crocodile, Moriarty and Hans all looked baffled by the description. "That's uh… a weird description," said Moriarty. "Does he happen to be a son of the death god, Anubis?"
"Or perhaps a son of Chaka, the jackal guardian of Alabasta?" asked Crocodile.
"Well… no. He is a Pokemon."
"Poh kay mon?" Hans said. "I've never heard of them."
"Well, you see, Pokemon are animal creatures that possess unique abilities of their own. Though, they don't do it by eating Devil Fruits in case you're asking," Toshineko said to Crocodile, who scoffed in response. "Lucario, for example, possesses the power in which he could sense, and control aura. He can sense movements, summon a glowing ball that deals a huge amount of damage, and summon bones as his weapon."
"I see…" Crocodile said, nodding. "Sounds like he's a fierce warrior."
"Indeed he is. He is my most challenging opponent yet. He has deductive abilities similar to mine and can even be smart enough to lead a large organization to foil my plans. He was also the reason why my first master plan had failed."
"So, we both have great deductions," said Moriarty. "orchestrated a war, operated things behind the shadows, and also happen to have an arch-enemy who has the same intellect as ours. Perhaps you and I have some things in common after all, Toshineko."
"Exactly. Did Sherlock manage to foil your master plan as well?"
"Not yet. But trust me, he won't get the upper hand on me."
"Wait a minute," Hans said. "So, Toshineko managed to fake his own death, orchestrated a war between two superpowers, turned Jack to his side, and then orchestrated a civil unrest in Carmonia?"
"Exactly," Kitsune said. "We are his agents who helped him in his plans."
Hans smiled deviously. "Very interesting. I can see now why he would be an evil mastermind."
"Yeah," Crocodile said, smiling evilly. "It takes a whole lot of planning and intelligence to have not one, but two master plans to pull that off. Not to mention, a very dark heart. Ku ah ah ah ah."
"Oh, you guys are far too kind," Toshineko said, smiling as well.
"Yeah, yeah, sure, sure," Ookami said, sighing. "That's great to hear, sir. Now, can we please get down to business and start planning on conquering our world?"
"Will this wolf shut up about it already?" Crocodile said, glaring at the wolf.
"No, I'm afraid not," Toshineko said, shaking his head. "We have to give him what he wants."
"Very well, then, Ookami," Moriarty sighed. "if you insist."
"Thank you. Shall I get our 100-slide PowerPoint presentation, general?" Ookami asked.
"Nah," Toshineko replied, waving his hand. "That won't be necessary. Let's go ahead and discuss our master plan, shall we?"
"Yes, let's," said Moriarty.
"Anyway," Haena said, talking to the readers. "I believe with this, we will end today's episode, our dear readers.
