"She did it. Although she wasn't as strong or indestructible as the heroes, Poisandra's singing ability inspired everyone, giving them the confidence and strength to push back against the evil Invincible variants and their armies. At the beginning of the Invincible War, there were around fifteen variants, four leaders, and nine hundred seventy soldiers on their side. Two days later, Levy Angstrom's forces had been reduced to eight Invincible variants, two leaders, and zero soldiers. It was humiliating for them to be defeated by a world filled with what they considered weaklings, creatures that posed no real threat. Losing half of their team was a disgrace, especially since most of the variants were leaders of their own empires. But that didn't matter to them; what truly concerned them was the promise Levy made when he assembled everyone for his war."

Day 3-Mark's Neighborhood

The planet had been ravaged by the rampage caused by the Angstrom's army who were sent to numerous countries to ruin Mark's reputation as a hero. This devastation came at the cost of losing their ranks and feeling humiliated by a creature named Poisandra, who had turned the tide of what seemed like an assured victory. They had been summoned by Levy's floating orbs to gather at their old home where they each grew up in. As they sat in their ruined home, Mandilok was at the table eating steak, having raided the kitchen for food with the others.

"Quite disgraceful. I remember when I learned that Master Org was fake; I devoured him on the spot without giving him the chance to escape. Those Invincibles should have been smarter than to toy with those weaklings."

He recounted his various accomplishments in his world, emphasizing that he showed no mercy when dealing with his enemies. One of the Mark variants, sporting a mohawk, grew annoyed by the orc leader's mocking tone. In frustration, he walked over and flipped the table sending Mandilok's food flying.

"Don't try to sound like you're all badass. I saw your ass being handled by that metal guy, Cast Iron. Who I remembered him taking out those sorry excuses for soldiers."

Responding to Mandilok's insult to the variant's lack of maturity and handling their battles. The orc growled at the Viltrumite interrupting his meal and thinking he was better than him, the two were prepared to fight one another before a chair was thrown by the Invincible whom everyone in the group had dubbed 'Sinister'.

"Shut up. Half of you are easy to tolerate when I'm not with you, all of you in one room makes me want to rip your heads off."

Threatening to kill him since he and Trakeena were the ones who were made an example of Poisandra's resistance against them. The other variants looked outside seeing the destroyed neighborhood and getting memories of them growing up as ordinary people before they learned about their Viltrumite heritage.

"I always hated this place."

An Invincible wearing Omni-Man's clothing spoke out at his dislike of the street as none of them seemed to care since they desired the reward that Levy had offered them. Trakeena was on a couch sharpening her nails and started hearing a sound coming from the front door.

"I believe the guest of honor is here. Someone open the door."

She ordered the variants but none of them did so as it flew off the henges by a portal opening up in front of it. The ten individuals looked at a figure making their way out to reveal themselves as Levy Angstrom and Scrozzle who wanted to see firsthand the destruction they had done to the world.

"Sorry. I prefer to make an entrance."

Angstrom smirked at his apology since he did it on purpose to show himself as the one in charge. Coming out of the portal were his orbs that showed them a hologram of the variants and two faction leaders and their crimes against humanity.

"Not only have you destroyed his planet, but you've also destroyed him. Every single person who survives will forever think of this when they remember his name, even if they know it was you. With the addition of ensuring creatures like Sledge would be despised if they revealed themselves."

Levy complimented each other on their achievements, despite having lost most of the variants and the faction leaders in battle. It was a thrilling sight to witness the destruction they had caused, as it brought them joy to terrorize a new world. However, they understood that their mission wasn't over. As the recordings came to an end, Scrozzle made himself visible to everyone, preparing to announce the next part of their plan.

"Now then. We have one objective left, which is finding the prime Invincible of this world."

He informed them about the need to find the one who protected this world and was unlike any of them. Most of the group seemed eager to return to their destructive activities for their amusement. However, Trakeena stood up, catching the boys' attention as she opposed the idea of doing the two scientist's dirty work.

"How about we don't go through with that plan? Your strategy cost half of us our lives. Besides, we have an agreement based on what you promised us, including conquering other dimensions."

The Queen reminded them of their agreement: in exchange for their services in making life on the planet a living nightmare, Angstrom would provide them with various dimensions to conquer and expand their empires. However, a masked Invincible captured the attention of his alternate versions who was against the idea.

"All I wanted was to find my mother and take her to my world."

Responding to their desires, half of the group wanted to take either items or people from this world and bring them back to their own dimensions. This sparked an argument among the variants and faction leaders about who would claim their dimensions first, as they believed they had caused the most damage to this world. Levy noticed how tired and frustrated they all looked after three days of fighting nonstop for seventy-two hours. Scrozzle intervened to calm the group, knowing that Levy needed them to focus if they wanted to uphold their agreement with the scientists back in the laboratory, who were responsible for the equipment and methods that started the war.

"I assure you, gentlemen. All of your desires will be satisfied when we."

Scrozzle's reasoning was cut short by Sinister Invincible who chopped his head off with one hand and sent his mechanical head into the kitchen. Unamused by the violent act, Angstrom had already seen this outcome coming due to how aggressive they were becoming.

"God, he was annoying. Let's just kill him and force him to give those dimensions to us."

Sinister Invincible suggested to the group to force Angstrom to give them the dimensions they demanded of traveling to and conquering. The dimension traveler saw the variants and faction leaders making their toward him menacingly but was stopped by Mohawk Invincible who prevented the group from laying a hand on Angstrom.

"We can't just kill him, none of us know how his powers work. Let's just torture him instead."

He suggested an alternative plan that would keep Angstrom alive long enough for him to use his powers and give them a dimension that could satisfy their desire for destruction. Levy rolled his eyes at their betrayal and waved his hand toward the floating orbs, sending them flying at the ten. As they desired, he opened a set of portals for the group, but he positioned them in a way that made escape impossible.

"I was sure they'd turn on me much later. How disappointing."

Commenting about how he knew they were planning on betraying him due to their immense egos, he'd hoped it would last long enough to get the Invincible that was responsible for his mutation. Looking at his decapitated robotic partner, he walked over to see Scrozzle still functional along with his head looking over at him.

"I should acknowledge your role in bringing them together and contributing to the destruction of this world. However, I also have a personal matter to address, namely your decision to bring Mark and his family back here after you did so much to separate them."

Bringing how if it wasn't for Scrozzle who aided in saving Mark from the wasteland, then there would be a reason to start this war in the first place. Scrozzle looked afraid at what he meant as Levy was about to crush the head with his bare hands, only to be stopped by someone in the ruined house with him. Turning over to see a familiar face, it was Invincible. The one that protected this world and knew that this would be the first place Levy would make his arrival.

"Oh, there you are."

Responding to him as Mark flew at him in full force taking him into the air and started punching his face. However, they weren't effective as Angstrom laughed at his attempt to knock him out.

"You're going pay everyone you killed in this damn war!"

Mark yelled at him which did nothing but make Levy smile as he ordered his orbs to attack Invincible. Letting go of the scientist, Levy activated a set of pads that allowed him to float in the air as he commanded his orbs to attack Invincible repeatedly.

"Do you think anyone will care? They saw your face fifteen times over. You're the one who will pay for everyone's death!"

Responding to Mark's threat as he opened various portals that sent out hundreds of orbs to overwhelm the Viltrumite. Feeling himself being drowned by the orbs, Invincible embraced them and smashed his way toward Angstrom. Seeing his machines being destroyed, Levy opened various portals in an attempt to send him to another dimension.

"Not this time."

Recognizing the same tactic Levy used when they first fought each other. Attempting to make his escape, Invincible prevented him from going into a portal and grabbed him by the throat. Keeping him from using his powers, Mark was filled with anger and wanted to take him out for doing all of this just to get to him.

"What are you waiting for? Kill him!"

A voice shouted at Mark as the Viltrumite looked over to see Oliver floating down to see their home destroyed along with the rest of the neighborhood in ruins. Continuing to keep his hand wrapped around Levy's neck, he is hesitant to kill Levy since this is what he wants, making him appear as a killer and a threat to the Earth.

"Look at what he did! Kill him so he can never do it again, what are you waiting for?!"

Oliver questioned his brother on not finishing it once and for all along preventing Levy from starting another war. Looking at Levy who was filled with anger and hate toward Mark, the Viltrumite continued to keep him from using his powers and realized that Oliver was right, Levy wouldn't stop until he destroyed their lives and everyone close to them.

"You've given me no choice."

"Truer words."

Levy responded to Mark's statement about taking his life since it proved he wasn't good and was like everyone else. Taking advantage, Levy sent an orb flying to his face which forced Mark to let go of him and allowed Levy to open a portal behind him. Thinking he was about to make his getaway; a grabbling hook stopped him as it came from Scrozzle's headless body while holding onto his head.

"That's for attempting to kill me you ungrateful son of a bitch!"

Scrozzle shouted as Levy broke free from the grappling hook and attempted to escape but was stopped again by Mark who grabbed his right hand, only for the portal to close on him and dismember his arm.

"Oh, that's gross."

Oliver commented on his brother not killing him but taking Levy's arm as they saw it twitching before dying in front of them. Looking over at Scrozzle who tried to put his head back on his body, Oliver could tell he was involved in this mess and decided to handle Scrozzle himself.

"Oliver, wait!"

Mark told his brother not to crush Scrozzle's head since he could tell Levy used him for this war and tried to destroy him. Oliver could feel the robot's head falling apart in his hands while the headless body pleaded to the young boy to not destroy it.

"Levy was hellbent on this planet's destruction! All I wanted to do was learn and I did when I learned about the Viltrumites!"

The robot continued to plead for the chance of being spared as Scrozzle got his wish from Mark taking him off Oliver's hands. Looking at Invincible who saved his life, Mark gave the head a questionable look about him knowing about the Viltrumites.

"It's true. During my research in looking for variants, I got to learn about your species. The Viltrumites, I couldn't find anything about their culture but about how formidable they are. Including weaknesses."

Offering Mark an advantage over the people his father had rebelled against, he witnessed their strength firsthand. Invincible found himself in a challenging position, as this approach mirrored what Cecil had done with Sinclair and Snide, making terrible individuals work for him under the guise of protecting the planet. He walked over to Scrozzle's headless body, searching for any technology connected to Levy Angstrom. Determined to prevent the robot from teleporting, he pulled out anything that might be linked to Angstrom's technology.

"You may have helped bring my brother and mom together. It doesn't change what you've done, because I'm going be keeping my eye on you during your stay here."

Mark threatened Scrozzle, warning him not to attempt anything since Mark needed him as an ally against the Viltrumites, in exchange for ensuring that Oliver wouldn't crush him. After placing his head back on his body, Scrozzle, the former partner of Levy Angstrom, expressed his gratitude to Invincible and Oliver for sparing his life. The two brothers kept a close watch on Scrozzle as they decided to regroup with the others and inform them that the ongoing war was over. Along that the time for repairing their world would have to start immediately and mourning the lives that were lost.

Several days later

The cities around the world had managed to find survivors with the help of the GDA and the remaining heroes who had evaded the Invincible variants. While it was a relief that people had endured much during the attack, the community had become divided. Some thanked Mark for saving them, while others blamed him, believing he was responsible for the chaos. On a rooftop, Mark sat in his Invincible suit next to Fury, observing the reconstruction efforts in Chicago. They exchanged information about what had transpired following the end of the war.

"Scrozzle told me that Levy won't be able to come back for a long time. The people who captured Levy called 'Technicians' would punish Levy for not being a man of his word when they saw the recording of him betraying the variants. Other than that, I hope you don't mind getting a new teammate."

Explaining that Angstrom would have his hands filled and Scrozzle would be around Fury and the others since he wanted the robot to avoid being around Cecil. It would give the director ideas on how to hurt him and Oliver in case something like this happened again.

"Why would I? The base is going to be a lot emptier with the others going back to the Guardians after the Immortal announced his retirement again, hell. He's decided to bring Duplikate of all people with him. It was about time he did it, me and Bulletproof made a bet on him retiring before the month ended."

Fury informed him how Rudy and the others who left the Guardians would be brought back to help fill in the members they lost. It angered the lion since they would be hanging around Snide and the other outlaws he helped capture with Sledge since they would have associated with him.

"How's Poisandra doing?"

Mark asked about what her situation was after the performance she did at the baseball stadium which helped everyone get an edge against Angstrom's forces. Fury got annoyed by the question since the last thing he wanted to think about was Sledge's girlfriend becoming popular.

"Doing? The woman has been getting phone calls to do performances. All because of that damn power of hers, whenever she sings a song. Everyone gets a damn power-up."

He responded to Poisandra getting fan mail, phone calls from presidents, and last but not least her getting more attention than ever. Mark couldn't help himself but laugh at the jealousy coming from Fury due to how her ability to bring people together was better than his ferocity. The two looked at the city where they watched construction vehicles passing by and medics transporting people to the hospital.

"They won't look at me the same after this. Even if those variants were wearing different costumes. They'll hate me."

Mark admitted that despite him showing the public that he wasn't one of the evil Invincibles, none of them would believe him. They'll see him as a threat, whether they want to admit it or not. Fury agreed with him, the Viltrumite would be looked like the enemy and everyone would plan for contingency plans if Invincible became evil. However, Fury rolled his eyes at how angsty he was getting which earned him a slap behind the hand.

"Cut that shit out. Who cares what they think? I sure as hell don't when I'm fighting humans in costumes. What matters is what your family thinks. It's something that Sledge would say since he didn't have that much of a childhood when I started working for him."

Fury offered him advice on how to move forward and not let this consume him. Mark thought about it and believed that Sledge would do the same and knock sense into him so he could get back to protecting everyone. Just as they had their moment, Fury's communicator started to go off as he was needed back with the others to help rebuild their base. Patting Mark on the back for good luck, the red lion stood up and walked across the other side of the rooftop.

"One more thing. I should say sorry for shocking the hell out of you when you got jumped by those cyborgs. But you deserved it when you kept secrets, it is one of the ways you can get killed."

Reminding him about how Mark knew of Snide working with Cecil and learning that secrets amongst friends never end well. Leaping off the building to return to base, Mark nodded at his statement placed his mask back on, and decided to help the injured and see if there were any survivors amongst the rubble. Taking his time to come in slow and not scare anyone, Invincible made his way to the firefighters and medics as they kept a composed look on their faces to hide their fear of him.

"How can I help."

Invincible questioned the officers in charge if he could aid in the search and rescue. Seeing how he wanted to help out, they pointed over to several locations where there were people who would need help. Confirming to help them, Invincible made his way to where the firefighters needed his help and started moving rocks out of the way for the medics to assist if anyone was injured. Noticing the looks on their faces with each of them showing gratitude and hate, Invincible continued to help out as much as he could. With him finding the last survivors amongst the rubble, Invincible took a moment to breathe since it was going take the entire day to find any more survivors hidden amongst the ruined buildings.

"Stand ready for my arrival, worm."

A commanding voice called out to Mark, catching his attention as he noticed a humanoid shadow hovering above him. Looking up in shock at the mysterious figure, he realized it was a Viltrumite. However, unlike the ones he had encountered on Thraxa, this one had a scar running down his face, white hair, and a metal replacement for his right arm. The figure exuded a menacing presence, hinting at his extensive combat experience, which was bad news for Mark, who had barely survived his last encounter with the Viltrumites.

"You were given orders. You were given time. You were given more leeway than most, and yet, I find this planet unprepared for the arrival of our Viltrum Empire."

Reminding him about the mission that General Kregg gave him when he and the others captured Nolan and Sledge. The last thing that he needed was to be reminded about another part of his life being responsible for causing nothing but pain and suffering to everyone on Earth.

"The Empire anticipated your resistance, which is why they sent me."

Proclaiming that out of the agents they could have been sent to handle making Earth prepared to be a part of the Viltrum Empire. They sent him, the same person that Anissa warned Mark a year ago in getting his act straight and taking over the planet.

"I am Conquest, and I am your last chance to fulfill your duty."

He introduced him and how if Mark didn't get the planet ready, he'd be the one to take over and show no mercy to anyone that stood against him. Mark's fear went away as it was filled with frustration and annoyance at this being the last thing he needed. Conquest saw Invincible standing up and appearing tired and full of hostility toward him.

"You don't understand. All this? This is my fault. For the last three days, the planet got destroyed by copies of myself. And I'm going be blamed for it for god knows how long."

Invincible responded to Conquest's announcement with the surroundings around him being destroyed by several versions of him. It didn't interest him since the destruction around him looked like child's play, what caught his attention was the tone in the boy's voice at him getting to the reason why he was saying this to him.

"So the only thing I want to do right now. Is hit something, as hard as I can."

Threatening the elder to let out all of the frustration, anger, and grief that everyone would be giving him onto Conquest if it meant being at peace. The Viltrumite could tell he was serious as the stance Invincible was taking showed that he wanted to hit something. Even through the mask, Conquest saw the conviction of wanting to hold nothing back and put down anything that would pose a threat to him.

"Good."

Conquest acknowledged Invincible's threat with a smile. He took a moment to pull back before launching himself directly at the Earth native with full force. Invincible stepped onto the concrete, making an imprint, and launched himself into the air at the same time as Conquest. Tightening his right hand into a fist, Mark let out a battle cry, ready to test Conquest's abilities and release the frustration that had built up in him over the last three days.
