Chapter 33
Wrath Ring
Mordekaiser
"Greetings, denizens of Hell." Said Mordekaiser as he made a broadcast to all of Hell from the confines of the Grey Realm. Utilizing a combination of magic and technology, Mordekaiser was making a broadcast throughout all of Hell via his secret base in the Wrath Ring. Sitting atop a facsimile of his throne in the Grey Realm, Mordekaiser addressed everyone in Hell in a grand speech of his design once his underlings have assured him that there was no possible way for his broadcast to be stopped nor intercepted, thus keeping his base in Wrath secured and safe from possible retaliation. "I am Mordekaiser and I have a message for you all."

I.M.P.
"Dad. What are you doing?" Thought Moxxie as he, his wife, Blitzo, and Loona were watching Mordekaiser's broadcast from Loona's phone. The four were discussing what happened with Striker when Loona suddenly got Mordekaiser's broadcast on her phone. Thinking it was some sort of scam or advertisement, Hell had a lot of those, she tried to get out of watching it, but found out she couldn't. Frustrated, Loona was about to smash her phone when Moxxie stopped her, having seen who was on her phone. Loona was about to yell at Moxxie when he told her that it was important for them to hear. Millie also backed her husband up, giving Blitzo a look that basically said support them or be in big trouble. Needless to say, they were all invested in watching what Mordekaiser had to say.
"As you all know, Hell and Heaven are two afterlives that share Earth as a source of denizens for themselves along with their normal occupants." Said Mordekaiser as he started his speech. "This is the only thing that they have in common. Heaven takes all the…morally correct and upstanding souls from Earth while Hell and Purgatory take what is left. While this alone is something that makes one more appealing than the other, there are many others that makes Heaven more appealing that either Purgatory or Hell."

Hazbin Hotel
"As you all know no doubt know, Heaven sends an army down to Hell to conduct an annual purge of the Sinner population here." Continued Mordekaiser without pause. "Why? Supposedly to deal with Hell's overpopulation problem due to the influx of Sinners, but I ask you all this? Does Hell look like it is in need to a culling of its population? How much territory and land is there in Hell that is without a city of town and is merely a speck of wasteland that no one has claimed yet? If Hell is suffering from an overpopulation problem, then why is only the Pride Ring targeted? Why not the rest of the Rings, where most of Hell's population resides, or even the native Hellborn? Why are they exempt when they have the higher population in Hell over Sinners? Doesn't that seem odd to you all? No, the purpose of the army isn't to cull our numbers to prevent overpopulation. Its to weaken us. To prevent us from uniting under a single, effective banner, and rise up in rebellion against them. Something that will surely happen once the people of Hell have had enough of the power imbalance between Hell and Heaven."
"Well, this guy is sure radical." Said Angel Dust as he and the other occupants of the hotel were watching the forced broadcast of Mordekaiser from the hotel lobby. They all have been minding their own business once Alastor left them to attend an emergency meeting between the Overlords regarding a massive attack on the entirety of Pride and, if the rumors that have popped up on the web are to be considered truthful, even all of Hell, when suddenly this broadcast started showing up. Vaggie was the first to notice it and thus made everyone else see it. There was some complaints at first, but as the broadcast continued and with them unable to change the channel for some reason, they were invested in it. "You know he reminds me of several people in Earth history? People that are cuckoo in the head. Or are really insane." The others didn't respond to what Angel just said. Instead they focused on the broadcast and the person on it.
While some were either acting indifferent to what the man was saying, viewing it as little more than a power play by someone who wants to be an Overlord, having a crush on them the man and his seemingly bad boy behavior, others were concerned with what he was saying.
Vaggie looked at Charlie in concern as the Princess was looking at the broadcast with a look of concern and worry. She wasn't showing it but Vaggie can tell that Charlie was concerned with what was being said by the man in the broadcast. She can tell that Charlie was having a very bad feeling about what he was saying and what he was going to say next.

Overlord meeting
"And do you know what our leaders do instead of doing that exact thing or doing anything to prevent these exterminations?" Asked Mordekaiser as he continued his speech. "They, instead of actually doing their responsibilities to their people and underlings, hide like cowards when the Exterminations occur. They've become inadvertently complacent in the Exterminations that occur. And I believe you all know how much luxury garner for themselves while you all lay in far less suitable conditions for living. And they do nothing to improve your lives. They've become fat, lazy, and incompetent. They are failures in leading and protecting you." Upon hearing that, most Overlords were grumbling and yelling in outrage at what this…upstart or idiot was spouting out. Displeased with what was spouting at them, even though other leaders of Hell were also being insulted at what this crazy was saying. Something they all would have found amusing if they weren't lumped into it as well. The only ones not engaged in the arguing were Velvette, Alastor, Rosie, Zestial, and Carmilla.
Rosie, Carmilla, and Zestial were not voicing their opinions on this little broadcast because they wanted to keep their persona of being calm and collected in front of their peers. They also found this Mordekaiser to be naïve and pathetic if he truly believed in what he was spouting. They'll tell him as such when they find him and rip him apart for his insolence and lack of manners towards his betters. If only they knew.
Alastor also wasn't partaking in the uproar that started because of what this little man had just said. For the same reasons as them, but there was another reason. He couldn't place his finger on it, but this…Mordekaiser, whose name is something that just screamed arrogance if his limited knowledge on the German language was accurate, his voice sounded familiar. He just couldn't figure out why. Tapping his chin, Alastor thought as he watched Vox going on a tirade, much to his amusement, about how he wasn't fat and that he was going to make this fucker pay for saying that. Same thing with Valentino. The remaining Vee, however, kept quiet.
Although she was just as angry as the other Overlords, Velvette was also intrigued. While it would have been easy to chalk up to what this asshole in the broadcast was saying as nothing but arrogance and stupidity due to lack of information, and believe her that was so tempting to do, but Velvette couldn't help but agree with some things he said.
The fact that they, the Overlords and other leaders of Hell, weren't doing anything against the Exterminations and those arrogant pricks in Heaven and just let them do whatever the fuck they wanted had always irritated Velvette. All because they have an army and a piece of parchment, signed by their piece of shit King that did nothing but stay in his home all year long, never once making an appearance since…forever from what Velvette can tell of Lucifer and how he ruled Hell, thus letting Heaven to do whatever the fuck they want in Hell. They were fucking demons. Why the fuck are they obeying the rules of Heaven and letting them tramp over them like the demons of Hell are just bugs to be exterminated? And none of the leadership in Hell were looking into ways to fix that.
They should be trying to figure out ways to change the status quo. To make Hell be on top instead of Heaven. Not just going about their days as if they weren't under the thumb of a foreign power, completely at their mercy. Despite being pissed as all hell with what this fucker Mordekaiser was saying about them, she was pretty sure no Overlord was fat, especially not her, she couldn't help but agree with his words and what he was getting at. Even if she wanted to punch him or worse for what he said about her, however general the direction his words were.
"Well, all that will change in time." Said Mordekaiser, catching everyone's attention again, his voice making them stop as it increased in volume and authority. Despite not being in the same room, the power within his voice made them all pause. All of them wondering what he was about to say.
Wrath Ring
Mordekaiser
"In time, I will give you all a better way of living." Said Mordekaiser as he started to finish up his speech. "In time, I will ensure that you all will not be under the mercy of Heaven again and that Heaven itself will instead be at your mercy before becoming a part of my vision of the future. In time, you will all be free from the decadence, corruption, and incompetence that plagues you all now. In time, I will become ruler of all Hell. For now, though, I will give you all with some final things to think about. I was the one that ordered the attacks that your leaders are currently talking about. The one that resulted in millions, even billions, of property damage that impairs their ability to garner money for themselves. Why? To send a message. Times are changing. Hell will, in time, face a great of change. And you all will have to make a choice. To help bring about this change, accept it, or be destroyed by trying to resist it. If the attacks aren't enough to convince you all to accept the change I will bring about, then this may do so. The next Extermination is in three months from now. When it comes, there will come something that will change the status quo. Something that only your leaders will know. If they have actual intelligence to figure it out. Until then, I bid you all goodbye." With that, Mordekaiser ordered the broadcast to end, which his subordinates did so with ease. Once they assured him that he was off the air and that no one was going to find them, Mordekaiser ordered his underlings to go to the next phase of his plan.
As his underlings began making preparations for the next phase of his plan, Mordekaiser thought of his benefactor and wondered how she thought about all this. And if she would be pleased about what he did. No doubt she would. She merely wanted him to send a message to Hell in exchange for the location of more of his former men. She never specified how she wanted it done. Just that it did. Plus, she was seemingly pleased with his plan. Almost a bit too much.
Humming to himself, Mordekaiser thought of how Hell was reacting to his speech. And, perhaps a bit internally how Moxxie was reacting to it.
Meanwhile
Moxxie
"Well, that was certainly a way to start a day of work." Said Blitzo once the broadcast was over. "Had some crazy guy in some edgy armor make some stupid speech about how shitty people in Hell have it compared to Heaven and how shitty our leaders are and then claiming he could do better. You know, like most crazy, suicidal, or radical-as-shit people do in Hell. That and those that are trying to scam people of what money they got. Guy has a pretty big pair in insulting basically every single leader and rich family in Hell. Wonder how long he'll last once all the big shits in Hell start searching for him?"
"If I had to guess," Said Loona, going back to typing and searching on her phone once it was back to normal. "A day. Tops. No way any of the Sins will let someone talk shit about them. Maybe Belphegor, but only if she is in a good or lazy mood when that broadcast happened. And then there's the shitheads we got for Overlords and those running the noble families. No way any of them are going to let some stranger, in some really edgy looking armor that he think looks cool, call them fat and lazy on the Hellnet. If he survives more than a day, I'll be fucking surprised."
"Same here." Said Blitzo. "I'm willing to bet the van on him surviving only for a day. Want some of that action, Loona?" His adoptive daughter just shrugged and decided to make a bet with her dad over the company van. Millie and Moxxie, meanwhile, were looking at each other in concern. Not at what Loona and Blitzo were doing, but rather at what Mordekaiser said just a few seconds ago.
This was the very first action that Mordekaiser had done against Hell that he did made public to everyone in Hell. Something that both surprised and worried Moxxie. He was surprised because his dad, until now, had always acted behind the scenes. Gathering followers and power from both Earth and Hell without anyone from Heaven or Hell noticing. He always acted patiently and methodically, never rushing to achieve his wants. After all, he had all the time he wanted and he had no reason at all to rush to achieve his goals. Now, however, it seemed something had changed as he now revealed himself to Hell publicly and not only insulted pretty much everyone in a leadership role in Hell, which all tended to be superstrong in magic and influence, but also decreed to everyone that he will bring about great change for all their lives. As well as declaring himself responsible for some attack on Hell that I.M.P. didn't know about at all yet. Their cable was out because Blitzo forgot to pay for it. Again.
While Moxxie was surprised to hear this, he was also worried. Worried on what made his dad go and do something like this? Did something happen to make him change his plans? Something awful? Or did he decide that the time to gather his power was over and that it was time to began his coup against Lucifer. If so, why didn't he tell him so he can get Millie and her family out of danger. Oh, and Blitzo and Loona. Despite his dislike of them, they didn't deserve to get caught in the crossfire between his dad and Lucifer. Especially Millie and her family, despite their dislike of him.
Speaking of his wife, Millie was looking at her husband in concern. Yesterday he had told her the truth of his father. Of who he really is and what he intended on doing to Hell's leadership. Needless to say, she was shocked and stunned at everything he revealed to the point she was flabbergasted and actually thought her husband was crazy when he told her the truth.
His dad was an undead warlord that wasn't actually a Sinner, aka a demon, but rather a ghost. A ghost in charge of literally another afterlife for dead souls, that get turned into ghosts as well, that existed outside of Heaven and Hell, thus changing everything she knew of humans and their afterlife. And, to top it all off, Moxxie's dad was also a ghost that intended on conquering all of Hell, Earth, and then Heaven for himself, creating a sort of super afterlife with him on top. Oh, and the reason that he even had Moxxie adopted in the first place was because his mom made a deal with Mordekaiser, his dad's actual name, and ended up dead, thus forcing her son to take up her end of the bargain instead, which was apparently spying on Hell and making things easier for Mordekaiser's armies when they invaded.
Needless to say, Millie had to take several hours alone to process everything her husband told her once they got back home. It was a lot to take in.
Once she processed it all, she spoke to her husband regarding his dad and his plan for Hell. While she wasn't exactly in favor of how things run in Hell, aside from the killing she gets to do without much consequence, she wasn't exactly sure it was a good idea to have some foreign entity, even if it was his dad, take over everything in Hell by force and then forcing everyone to obey him lest they suffer the consequences. She was an Imp, sure, and a murderer to boot, but she wasn't exactly into the whole dictatorship like rule that Moxxie was describing what his dad will do when he took over Hell.
She voiced her concerns to her husband. Although she was a bit hurt that he didn't tell her this sooner, she understand why he didn't. And to be honest, thinking on it now, she could see why he did. She probably would have seen him as insane if he told her all this while they were dating or even the few weeks of them being married. And she may have never married such a wonderful Imp.
Moxxie, hearing the concern in his wife's voice, assured her as best he could that his dad wasn't as awful as he was probably making him out to be. He actually was a lot kinder than his appearance and mannerisms suggested. You just had to get to know him a bit. That's all. Millie, trusting her husband and remembering the encounters with his dad and how he didn't actually seem all that bad honestly, relented and told him that she'll withhold judgement on his dad.
Thanking his wife, he told her that she can come with him to meet his dad so she can see for herself what he was really like. Millie, eager to see what his dad was actually like, agreed and had been eagerly waiting the day that Moxxie can have some time with his dad without work or business getting in their way. At least until this.
Now, Millie was ultimately not surprised to see what Moxxie's dad pulled off with how much power Moxxie claimed Mordekaiser actually had, what she was surprised was how he just blatantly made himself known to all of Hell and also insulted basically everyone one in power in Hell. From the lowest Overlords to the Sins themselves with his speech. She would have appreciated and respected someone for saying that stuff out loud if it didn't involve them getting killed for it, which was a very likely thing to occur for most people. Most of the leaders in Hell didn't like being insulted no matter what. But, Mordekaiser, as Millie learned, was not most people. If she could, she would go out and meet her father-in-law and give him a big shake of his hands if she could. What prevented her from doing so was both her not knowing where to find him nor how to get to him and the fact that her husband looked concerned after hearing his dad's broadcast.
"Moxxie." Started Millie as she looked at her husband, catching his attention.
"Its nothing, Millie." Said Moxxie as he looked at his wife with a small smile. "Just surprised and a little bit concerned about what that man said." He hadn't yet revealed to Blitzo and Loona about the truth about his dad yet, feeling that telling them would do more harm than good in the grand scheme of things. They weren't exactly the best when it came to secrets, Blitzo especially.
Millie was a bit upset that Moxxie wasn't telling their boss and coworker about the truth about his dad, but Moxxie was firm in this. He didn't trust them enough, not like Millie, to just reveal that his dad was an undead warlord that wanted to conquer of all Hell, Heaven, and Earth. Amongst other things. That, and the fact that the chance was rather high that they'll accidentally spill the secret or do so just to spite him on Voxnet or to a client just because they were in a mood or something. Yeah, he wasn't going to tell them anything until he was sure they can keep it a secret. Until it was pointless to keep it as a secret at least. Seeing her husband firm in this, Millie reluctantly agreed and so the two Imps kept it a secret. Something Millie hoped won't be long.
Nodding a bit at her husband's words, Millie wondered how the leaders of Hell were reacting to this. Not very well she believed.
Meanwhile
Overlords of Pride
Millie would be correct in her thoughts as the Overlords of Pride after the broadcast was over exploded into a shouting match in their meeting hall.
"Who the fuck does that piece of shit think he is!?" Demanded a female shark demon as she slammed her fists down in anger.
"A crazy piece of shit that needs to die painfully, if you ask me." Said a fish-like demon as he stood up, his face lit up in anger.
"Calling us fat, lazy, and failures. The guy has got a fucking death wish." Said a massive, lizard-like Overlord that dwarfed everyone else in size, taking three spots in a table by her sheer size alone. The three Vees were arguing amongst themselves over what they just heard. Vox and Valentino were pissed off about what Mordekaiser said to the point that one can see the steam and sparks flying between them as they yelled out their outrage. Velvette was trying to keep her compatriots calm and tried to get them to agree with her over something. Meanwhile Alastor was speaking to Rosie about something. What that was, the other Overlords couldn't tell, but it was clear to those that looked over at them, they weren't pleased at all, even if they were doing an admirable job at hiding it.
Carmilla, seeing the bickering occurring all around her, gave an annoyed grunt before looking over at her friend Zestial, who just nodded. Without warning, Zestial suddenly let out a massive screech that caused everyone to stop their arguing and yelling in order to hold their ears in pain. Zestial soon stopped his screech, causing everyone to look at him. Just before anyone can yell at him, Carmilla spoke up.
"Enough." Yelled Carmilla, having covered her ears in time along with her daughters, making everyone turn to her. "We wasted enough time arguing amongst ourselves. Its time to focus on important matters. Like this Mordekaiser." Clenching her hands together, she continued. "While I don't know his exact motivations and his goals are, I do know this. He has made a grave mistake in revealing himself as the architect of our latest troubles as Overlords. I think I speak for all that we must find him and make him pay for his actions against us and all of Hell." While most Overlords were nodding in agreement with her, a few were withholding judgement. The reason for this was because they weren't exactly sure if it was a wise course of action going against this Mordekaiser. He wouldn't have revealed himself so suddenly if he didn't have a plan of some sort against retaliation for his actions. Surely, he would have planned for such possibilities. Right?
"Now, I believe that we should…" Carmilla didn't get to say more when suddenly Velvette raised her hand, catching Carmilla's attention. Narrowing her eyes slightly, Carmilla addressed the female member of the Vees. "Yes, Velvette? I hope you have a solution to this problem of ours."
"Actually, I got something to say." Said Velvette with a smile. "This may piss some of you off, well actually a lot of you, but maybe we should consider what that tinman was saying." Upon hearing that, everyone either looked at her in shock or anger, Valentino and Vox amongst them. None of the Overlords could believe that Velvette, the youngest amongst them, both in years and how long she had been as an Overlord, would support someone that had just insulted her and damaged her ability to gain money for herself, however inadvertently it all was.
The youngest Overlord was impulsive, arrogant, and easy to set off. And yet she was saying they should listen to what this Mordekaiser said. Velvette must have noticed their confusion and even rage so she explained herself.
"Don't get me wrong, I want that fucker's head as much as you all do." Said Velvette with a small smile on her face. "But you all have to admit, he's got some points. Like, for fuck sakes, why the fuck are we the bottom to Heaven's top?! Its been like for thousands of year and we haven't done anything to change it!" Velvette then got up on top of her table. so everyone can see her, before speaking. "I say this was a fucking wakeup call. To get us all of our fucking lazy asses and do something other than just managing the status quo. Get me? I say we go find this guy and get him to talk on what he intends on doing. After teaching him a lesson on respect, of course." Velvette was about to go on more when suddenly they all heard some loud slurping from somewhere. Everyone looked to the source to find Zestial sipping on some tea in a cup he somehow brought with him without anyone noticing. Seeing everyone was looking at him, Zestial stopped drinking his tea and addressed everyone.
"Velvette, my dear." Said Zestial in a respectful but scolding tone, utilizing the word dear on Velvette with as much disdain as he possibly can without being seen as being as disrespectful or rude. "Whilst thy ability to see past the more blunt aspect of that man's speech is commendable, I did not think thy had the ability to do so, but I must intercede. This man…he clearly does not understand the situation we are currently in. Angelic powers have always been superior to those found in Hell. Heaven has an army while we lack one. An army, I may add, has proven time and time again to be unstoppable in its task in culling the Sinner population in Pride. With not a single death amongst their numbers I may add." Zestial then lanced his hands together before speaking further. "Our little…upstart talked big and brought some issues that we have, yes, but has he provided any solutions to our plights? No, he merely stated he intends to tackle our problems in time, never once saying how he intends to do so. In fact, I believe that speech was merely meant to rally support from the lesser beings in Hell, who, let me be frank, are not the brightest beings in existence. They will follow blindly anyone that can possess even an ounce of charisma or fact that they agree with. For what, I can't say, but it matters little. I believe this upstart is merely someone that just wants attention for himself and nothing more. Something that I believe thou would have noticed, Velve…"
"Truly you believe this, Zestial?" Said the voice of the person they were all talking about as he suddenly appeared in their projector screen again, stunning or surprising them all when he appeared again. This time, however, he wasn't addressing to the general populace of Hell. No, he was addressing them all directly. The Overlords of Pride and, although he looked no different than when he made his speech, this Mordekaiser didn't seem pleased to hear what Zestial said about him.
"How do you hijack our systems?" Demanded Carmilla once she recovered from her shock at seeing Mordekaiser addressing them all. Her question was addressed to both the first time in order to make his broadcast and right now, where he was currently addressing them all. "This building has some of the finest cyber security that's available in Hell. How did you…"
"I will not divulge my secrets to you, Carmilla Carmine." Said Mordekaiser as he interrupted her. "And before you start throwing accusations at each other, I will tell you bluntly. I had underlings hack into your building. I did not have an insider within its confines that assisted me. And your security? Pathetic. I expected better from whoever built this building and those that provided its security."
"Hey, I resent that!" Yelled Vox as he pointed a finger at Mordekaiser, pissed at what he just said. He was the one that provided the cyber security in this building. It was the finest stuff his company built and he wasn't going to let anyone criticize his products. Especially from someone he just met. Well, anyone that wasn't Velvette or Valentino. He was about to yell at Mordekaiser more when the revenant glared at Vox, causing him to lose his courage and take a step back when he saw the glare that was directed at him. It spoke of much pain and misery for Vox if he dared to speak up again without permission.
"Be silent, whelp. Or I will make your experience pain beyond anything you believe you witnessed in Hell." Said Mordekaiser as he glared at Vox. Once he was sure that Vox was subdued, Mordekaiser went to his real target. "So, tell me Zestial. Explain to all of us why you believe I am an upstart and you are more of an expert of Hell's situation than I? Is it because you do not know me or something else?" Zestial just chuckled a bit before explaining himself.
"Simply point, I find thy speech to be nothing more than things that people say to get idiots and fools to obey thou every whim." Said Zestial keeping himself calm as Mordekaiser observed him.
"I see." Said Mordekaiser as he placed a clawed hand behind his back. "Proceed. Tell us more of why you think this? That I am merely, as you say, trying to get only the foolish to obey me and not the wise." Zestial couldn't help but laugh at what he just said.
"The wise? Following thou?" Asked Zestial sarcastically to Mordekaiser, finding what he just said amusing. At least he had manners, unlike a few certain Overlords he knew. "If they have a sliver of wisdom within themselves, the wise would avoid having anything to do with thou. Unlike thee, they know the imbalance of power between Heaven and Hell. They would know their place within the hierarchy of Hell and not try to change it. And above all, they would know not to follow someone that is nothing more than a young upstart that believes he knows better than his super…" Zestial suddenly stopped talking midsentence and began to suddenly choke, catching everyone's attention.
"Zestial?" Asked Carmilla in concern for her friend, wondering what was wrong with him. As the other Overlords were looking at Zestial as well, wondering what was going on with the elderly Overlord, Zestial suddenly started floating in the air towards the middle of the room while still choking on something. He desperately clawed at the air around his throat, but other than that, Zestial did nothing as Mordekaiser spoke again.
"You should have stopped at the first reasoning, Zestial." Said Mordekaiser as he brought out the hand behind his back, revealing it to be glowing a sickly green color as some sort of mist of the same color came out of the revealed hand. The same kind that was flowing out of his entire body. "Then you wouldn't have to suffer this." Then, before anyone can react, Mordekaiser suddenly outstretched his hand. Upon doing so, Zestial, as if on que, suddenly exploded, sending green blood and insides all across the room, splattering his remains all over his fellow Overlords. It all happened so quickly that none of the Overlords had time to react until Zestial's blood and insides were literally on their own clothing and skin.
"Holy fuck!" Yelled Vox as he stumbled onto the floor in shock at what just happened, his entire front stained with Zestial's blood and insides. So were Valentino, Velvette, and every other Overlord in the room, including Carmilla, who got the worst of it the shower of blood and insides along with her daughters. All three were stunned into submission at what just befall on Zestial along with everyone else. Even Alastor was stunned into quietness with just happened to Zestial, a powerful Overlord that gave even him pause. As everyone was recovering from the shock at what happened to their fellow Overlord, Mordekaiser spoke again.
"Does anyone else have issue with what I had said earlier?" Asked Mordekaiser, catching everyone's attention. "If so, speak now or suffer something similar to what Zestial just experienced. Like you Vox?" Upon hearing his name, Vox gulped before looking at Mordekaiser and speaking up.
"Uh, not issue at all." Said Vox as he got up with a nervous smile on his face as he looked at Mordekaiser, not wishing what happened to Zestial happen to him. "Your great. Your speech was great. Your ideas are great. I got no problems at all with you." Mordekaiser just scoffed at what Vox just said before returning to addressing every other Overlord.
"Now, if there is nothing else, lets get down to business." Said Mordekaiser as he addressed everyone. "As I said before, change is coming to Hell and you all will eventually have to choose whether to support it or not. I suggest, if you wish to maintain what power you actually hold, to support that change when it comes. I give you this warning personally because you Overlords will be affected the most, depending on what you do in the coming days. Until then, take heed my words and go about your days. And regarding your friend Zestial. He's still alive. You just need to put him back together."
"Wait." Said Velvette as she plucked a piece of Zestial off the top of her head, a sizable slab of meat. Of what, she didn't want to know. "He's still fucking alive?" As if to prove it, the piece of Zestial that Velvette just plucked of her suddenly moved as if it had a mind of its own. Upon seeing this, Velvette actually screamed out in shock. Dropping the piece of meat, she watched as Mordekaiser held out his hand and suddenly all the sizable parts of Zestial began floating up in the air from their places all around the room and from the clothes of the Overlords. They soon began to consolidate with each other into a giant slab of meat that floated in the air for a moment before falling to the ground. Right in front of Carmilla, who was still in shock at what just happened to Zestial. All the Overlords then watched as the slab of meat that was Zestial suddenly began moving, letting out a guttural sound on its own.
"Oh my fucking god." Said Vox as he saw this, feeling queasy in the stomach. He seen some rather gory stuff since coming to Hell but this…this took the fucking cake.
He soon heard the sounds of several Overlords throwing up when they saw the slab of meat move on its own and heard it let out a guttural sound that, if Vox's hearing was telling him correctly, sounded like a cry of agony. As if Zestial was in pain or some shit. Pain that was unbearable and Vox had no reason to believe it wasn't otherwise.
"He can be restored to his former self." Said Mordekaiser as he looked at the slab of meat with disinterest. Perhaps this will show that fool when to be silent and when to speak with respect to his betters. "Just take it to a noble family in Pride and have them take care of him. Barter with them or pay them, I care not. So long as his fate taught you all a lesson, I care not what you all do with him or his holdings in Hell while he recovers. In the end, you all will have a part to play in the change that will come to Hell. Provided you all are still alive when it comes." With that, the broadcast ended and Mordekaiser left them all alone, leaving them with the mess to clean and to heed his words.
"Well…shit." Said a giant female Overlord that towered everyone. She then looked at Carmilla, who was still in shock. Soon her daughters were going over to her and trying to shake their mother out of her shock. "Maybe we all should leave. I don't want to be here when Miss
Ballerina recovers."
"You know what, that's the first fucking idea I ever agreed with you, Zeezi." Said Velvette as she looked at Carmilla, who was in the process of recovering. "C'mon guys. Let's get the fuck out of here before Miss Ballerina goes on a fucking tirade from this." Both Vox and Valentino agreed with their compatriot and they all quickly got the hell out of the room along with most of the other Overlords. None of them wishing to be in the same room as Carmilla when she recovers. They all knew how close she was to Zestial and no doubt she would be pissed beyond belief when she recovers from her shock with what happened to Zestial. They all knew how Carmilla was when her loved ones were threatened or bullied. They didn't want to see what would happen if someone actually managed to hurt them, much less hurt them to the extent poor Zestial suffered when Mordekaiser did…whatever the fuck he did to the Overlord.
The only ones that stayed in the room as their fellow Overlords fled were Rosie, Alastor, and Carmilla's daughters. The latter because they knew their mother wouldn't harm them when she recovers and the fact they needed to calm her down after what happened. The former wanted to stay because they wanted to see Carmilla's reaction to this…beautiful carnage. Something they soon received.
After a minute of shaking from her daughters, Carmilla finally recovered from the shock and soon observed the scene before her. She first inspected the bloody room before her, then her own bloody attire along with her daughters, before finally looking at the pile of flesh that was her dear friend. She stared at the pile of flesh for a moment before she went over to her chair, seemingly calm.
"Mother?" Asked Odette in concern when she saw how her mother was reacting. Clara also looked in concern as their mother went over to her chair. Rosie and Alastor looked at her in anticipation of her next action. Laying her large hands over the chair, Carmilla didn't do anything for a few seconds, causing Odette and Clara to secretly dread at what was about to happen.
"Mothe…" Odette tried to say something to her mother when suddenly Carmilla lifted the chair and tossed it to the projector screen in the room, breaking it apart and sending paper and metal scraps everywhere.
"That mother fucker!" Yelled Carmilla in a rage-filled voice that her daughters have never heard from their mother ever. They, Rosie, and Alastor then watched as Carmilla started thrashing what remains of the projector screen and chair with both her hands and her feet, which held ballerina shoes with bladed edges, making them unique, but effective, weapons.

Mordekaiser
"He thinks he could just interrupt our meeting, brutalize Zestial, and then have the audacity to use that as a fucking lesson!? When I fucking find that pendejo I'm going to…" It was then that Mordekaiser ordered an underling to mute the video screen that showed Carmilla Carmine going on a rage-filled rampage over what just happened a few seconds ago.
"I say that was quite a success, milord." Said Keira as she watched Carmilla still going on a tirade, just muted to them. "Though I will admit, this will affect our chances to gain the loyalty of Carmilla and her organization when we begin our takeover of Hell."
"It matters not. Her organization and arms dealings matter little in the end." Said Mordekaiser as he watched the rampage of Carmilla with some amusement. "If she sees the wisdom in my rule, I will accept it. However, should she prove troublesome, I will end her. Perhaps her daughters will fare better as Overlords than her should the need arise."
"Perhaps." Said Keira before changing the topic. "Regarding the upcoming Extermination, what exactly will our plan be?" A few months ago, Mordekaiser had decided that the time had come to finally deal with the Exterminators that come to Hell every year to cull the Sinner population in Pride. Or, more accurately, to finally capture some of them for examination.
Since learning of the Extermination and the angelic horde that comes to attack Hell's Sinner's population, Mordekaiser has dedicated resources to finding a way to combat them as, much to his annoyance and anger, Hell didn't have an answer against the angelic warriors known as Exorcists. In fact, there wasn't much information about them at all.
All there was regarding Heaven's army was that the Exorcists were an all-female organization of warriors that were sent to cull Hell's Sinner population for the sole purpose of reducing overpopulation, a reasoning that Mordekaiser found quite foolish and idiotic to say the least, and that they were lead by the first human to be created in this existence. A human turned angel named Adam, who supposedly is the progenitor of all human life on Earth. And, finally, the Exorcists were supposedly unable to be harmed, let alone killed, by conventional weaponry in Hell. It didn't matter if it was blades, guns, or even blunt force, they simply couldn't be harmed. Mordekaiser didn't know if it was the physiology of the angels, their attire, which seemed to be just a dark dress with gloves, pants, and boots rather than actual armor, or some kind of magic that protected them from harm, but he knew enough from observing the Exterminations to know that any Sinner that tried to fight back has died. Their meager weapons unable to even scratch an Exorcist. Needless to say, Mordekaiser was eager to find out if the Exorcists were truly invincible or not and if he needed to develop a new weapon to do so.
Unfortunately, the research was slow, hence why it took so long for him to decide to do something about the Exterminations. The reason for this was because they simply didn't have any Exorcists in their possession or any angels in general for dissection and experimentation. As kidnapping one will no doubt draw the attention of Heaven and that wasn't something Mordekaiser was eager to have. Not when he wasn't sure if he could kill one of their lowly warriors. Mordekaiser would not allow years of careful planning to conquer both Heaven and Hell go to waste just because he couldn't kill a lowly soldier. That was an indignity that Mordekaiser refused to accept. Thus, he ordered research be done on finding a way to kill an Exorcist without drawing upon the need to capture and study one. Something that was easier said than done.
The process was long and arduous, suffering countless failures and setbacks, along with many uncertainties like if a produced weapon can actually harm or kill an angel, let alone one of their warriors, or if another will do more harm to the user than their enemies. Needless to say, Mordekaiser was starting to get impatient. Just how hard was it to create a weapon to slay a new foe? Literally every single other of his projects and plans, some of which started years later than this, bore more fruit than this one. As the years went by and still no weapon that was confidently believed to be able to kill an angelic warrior yet to be produced, Keira and some of his other advisors suggested that perhaps it was time that they kidnap some exorcists and find out their weaknesses that way. That suggestion was made over ten years ago. Initially, Mordekaiser had rejected it as he was still spreading his influence in Hell and Earth and empowering his armies in the Grey Realm for many reasons. Plus, he didn't have much need to attack Heaven yet. Now, however, with him receiving countless failure from this task and with his presence in Hell tightly secured to the point that he can safely attack Hell's leadership so openly and not fear the retaliatory attack costing him too much, Mordekaiser decided that it was time to do something about this little problem.
"When the Exorcists come, we will take some of them and capture them." Said Mordekaiser as he looked at Keira. "They should do nicely for our study on the angels. If Heaven tries to find out what happened to the angels we captured, put the blame on one of the Overlords. I care not who it is so long as its believable."
"I understand." Said Keira. "I'll go over possible candidates. It should be ready by the time of the next Extermination."
"Excellent." Said Mordekaiser. "If that is all, I must prepare for my…encounter with Moxxie. No doubt, he'll be eager to see me after this."
"On that, I have no doubt as well, milord." Said Keira as she watched him leave. As he left, she wondered about the mysterious patron they had and how they react to how they accomplished their latest deal.
Meanwhile
The mysterious patron that had been helping Mordekaiser recently for their own ends had been watching the news all around the Pride Ring of Hell of what just occurred. Of Mordekaiser's declaration and what he just did to the denizens of Hell.
"So, that is how you intend on revealing yourself." Said the patron as she looked upon a T.V. that showed the 666 news channel talking about Mordekaiser and what he did. "I can't say I'm surprised you resorted to this. You were chosen because of your power and brutality." Sighing, the patron left the bar that she had been watching the news in.
"I wonder if Lucifer will finally get out of his melancholy in order to deal with this." Thought the woman as she walked away, ignoring all the Sinners and the occasional Hellborn around her as she walked. She got some looks from them as she walked on account of her cloak that hid her face and body, but other than that, they left her alone. As they should. They wouldn't like her when she was angered.
As she walked, she thought of Mordekaiser and his relationship with his adopted Imp son.
"He cares for him." Thought the woman as she thought of how Mordekaiser had saved his son from that other Imp sometime ago. An Imp that she never took into account coming into play nor expected to become an influence on the Iron Revenant. She wasn't sure of it before, but now she was. He cared for his adopted son. In his own way. "He truly cares for him. He was indeed the right choice."
Few Days Later
"He's coming soon, Millie. I hope you're ready." Said Moxxie as he addressed his wife with a smile. The two Imps were currently in their apartment complex, awaiting for Moxxie's dad to arrive so they can begin their day with him.
"I sure am!" Yelled Millie, excited to see what her father-in-law actually looked like. From what Moxxie described what Mordekaiser actually looked like, it sounded badass. "Still can't believe that Blitzo let us both off for the day." The two had managed to convince Blitzo to allow it as Moxxie was originally suppose to be the only one to go meet with his dad. At first, Blitzo was reluctant to do so because he needed Millie to help with some of the jobs they'll have for that day, but after a glare from Millie, he agreed. Not that there wasn't much work today anyway. People were too busy focusing on what Mordekaiser said a few days ago. It was currently the hottest topic in Pride and even all of Hell at the moment. And all the Imps can see why.
A Sinner, at least that was what people were claiming it to be if they weren't claiming it was an organization instead, claimed responsibility for the attacks on all the rings, utilizing trucks of food from Wrath that billions in Hell depended on for sustenance. Well those that could afford it anyway.
Already the consequences of this action were felt throughout Hell. Prices of food were going up everywhere in the Rings. Overlords and nobles that held considerable influence in the food industry, like the Vees in the form of Voxtech, which made basically everything, were taking advantage of the food issue and people's sudden desperation to obtain food for themselves and their families, if they had them, in order to obtain more power for themselves. In exchange for either discounts for food or food itself, Overlords and nobles that either distributed food or created it, wanted people, by they Sinners or Hellborn, to sign contacts of servitude and their souls to them, thus increasing their power in Hell. Souls meant everything in Hell, especially for Overlords, and obtaining more souls meant more power and influence in Hell. Needless to say, many Overlords and nobles were profiting from this change of events and seemingly the only ones benefitting from it. Though, Moxxie knew that his father was benefitting from all this as well.
How, he didn't know exactly, but his father was nothing if not resourceful. He wouldn't have committed something so drastic if he didn't also get something out of the chaos. Even if it was something that Moxxie didn't approve.
Sighing at the chaos that happened after what his dad did a few days ago, Moxxie wondered what his dad was thinking when he did all that. Did he take into account all the people that were suffering currently from his actions? If so, why did he do it? Wouldn't this attack make people despise him instead of wanting to be by his side? Wouldn't this make the Overlords unite in order to hunt him down? Wouldn't this…
Moxxie couldn't think more when the door to his apartment was knocked on. Thinking it was her husband's dad, Millie went over to the door and opened it. Just as she thought, Moxxie's dad was there in his Rogier disguise.
"Greetings, Millie." Said Mordekaiser/Rogier as he looked upon his daughter-in-law. "I've come to see my son for our arranged day together."
"He's in the living room, sir." Said Millie as she moved aside to let Mordekaiser into the apartment. She wanted to say Mordekaiser's real name, but she refrained. She had a feeling that this was something that Moxxie should tell him. That she knew who Mordekaiser really was.
"Moxxie." Said Mordekaiser/Rogier as he looked upon his son as he sat in the couch, looking a bit upset over something. "Its pleasing to see you, my son."
"Same here, dad." Said Moxxie as he looked at his father with a small smile. Despite his misgivings with what happened a few days ago, he truly was happy that his dad was here.
"Are you prepared to have…enjoyment with me today?" Asked Mordekaiser. He had made sure that everything was ready and prepared in Mitna Rachnun, Hell, and on Earth for his absence for one day. Although his subordinates were capable enough without his constant presence around them in order to ensure their goals are reached, after what happened a few days ago, he wanted to make sure that they can handle themselves without his presence and assistance.
"Of course, dad, but I wanted to tell you something before we go." Said Moxxie, biting his lip a bit. Mordekaiser tilted his head at that before willing Moxxie to say it. Taking a deep breath, Moxxie spoke. "I told Millie the truth, dad. The whole truth." Upon hearing that, Mordekaiser starred at his son for a few moments, making him a bit nervous as Millie went to him, a bit concerned as well as how Mordekaiser will react to this news. He soon put their worries to ease.
"I see." Said Mordekaiser as he looked at the two married Imps, his hooded gauze not showing his emotions at the moment. Or anything at all for that matter. "And you trust her to keep my identity and Mitna Rachnun a secret as well as my plans for Hell?"
"Yes, I wouldn't have revealed it all if I didn't trust her to keep it a secret." Said Moxxie as he held his wife's hand. "I trust her with my life. She wouldn't do anything to betray my trust." Millie was a bit flustered when she heard just how much faith her husband had with her and it showed with her blushing cheeks. Mordekaiser looked at the two Imps for a moment before nodding his head.
"Very well." Said Mordekaiser. "If you trust her that much, then I will do so as well." Moxxie and Millie were both happy to hear Mordekaiser say that.
"I won't let you down, sir! I mean dad!" Yelled Millie with a bright smile on her face. Mordekaiser just shook his head at that but otherwise stayed silent.
"Is she coming with us?" Asked Mordekaiser. When Moxxie nodded at the question, Mordekaiser spoke. "Then I think she will be most excited to see where we're going next." Moxxie blinked in surprise at that.
"What do you mean, dad?" Asked Moxxie. Are they going to Mitna Rachnun? But that place, no offense to his dad, wasn't exactly a place if one wanted to have a good and relaxing time with one's family. At least to Moxxie's definition of having a good and relaxing time. Mordekaiser's answer to his question left Moxxie stumped.
"We're going to Runeterra to meet an old friend of yours." Said Mordekaiser simply before he magically enchanted Moxxie's apartment so he can safely conjure a portal that will lead them to Mitna Rachnun first before venturing to Runeterra, where they'll met someone from Moxxie's past. Of which there was only one person that fit that description in Runeterra.
"No way." Thought Moxxie as Mordekaiser made the portal. "Are we going to meet with…"
Later
Runeterra
Cave
"Holy shit!" Yelled Millie as she, Mordekaiser, and Moxxie went through a portal that Mordekaiser had just created from Mitna Rachnun that would lead them to their destination. "That place was cold as fuck! And I mean cold! And we went to Antarctica that one time for job, Mox. Antarctica got nothing on that Mitna Racnun…Rachuto…Rachnuo…"
"Just call my realm the Grey Realm if you struggle with its other name. That was its original name before I named it Mitna Rachnun." Said Mordekaiser simply as he and Moxxie looked at Millie shivering a bit from the chills that came from going to the Grey Realm even for a moment. Moxxie was also shivering a bit from venturing to the Grey Realm even for a moment. Seriously, they were only there for a brief moment and both Imps were shivering like they've been in there for a whole hour without warm clothing on, which to be fair, they never had to begin with, instead wearing their usual attire. Because Hell was rarely ever cold beyond certain regions, they never bought any winter clothing, considering it an unnecessary expense. Even if they did possess such clothing, they both thought they would be staying in Hell for this day with Mordekaiser. Not venturing to other realms.
"Seriously, I don't recall it being that cold when I grew up there, dad." Said Moxxie as he looked at his dad. "How come I'm cold going there now?"
"Because I had magic spells enchanted on you constantly to protect you from the environment of my realm." Explained Mordekaiser. "Were they not done, you would have died a long time ago from the environment of my realm. I didn't do them now because we were only going to be there for a brief moment. Something that would have been briefer had your wife not stayed a bit longer than necessary to gawk at my realm."
"Oh, that's…good to know." Said Moxxie when he heard all that. He recalled Millie staring at his dad's realm when they ventured through the first portal with stars in her eyes. Obviously, she was excited about seeing another afterlife that wasn't Hell. There was Heaven, of course, but Imps weren't allowed there for obvious reasons. She had been so excited that she simply starred at all the architecture of the building they were in, that she started to turn blue by the time Mordekaiser went and dragged her away through a portal he created. "We won't get colds from being there just for staying there under a minute, right dad? I don't think Millie's family will like the idea she got a cold because she hanged out with you for a day. Same with Blitzo for that matter."
"You both will recover." Said Mordekaiser with confidence as he looked at the two Imps, who were currently shivering. "If you can't do so naturally, I will use my magic to help you recover." Moxxie nodded at that before looking at their surroundings. Noticing that they were in a cave, Moxxie suddenly lit up in shock at where they were followed by joy.
"Dad, are we actually going to see…" Started Moxxie, temporarily forgetting how cold he was, his voice filled with excitement at meeting someone he knew a long time ago.
"Indeed you are, little one." Said a womanly voice, causing Mordekaiser, Moxxie, and Millie to turn around to the source of the voice.
Deeper into the cave, which was filled with lit candles and furniture, stood a woman with dull-pale skin with black hair with a purple tint to them. Smiling affectionally at Moxxie, the woman spoke up.
"It's good to see you again, Moxxie." Said Morgana as she strode over to the group.
