Mitna Rachnun
Moxxie
"Wait, you mean to fucking tell me that your fucking dad, since the day he adopted you, planned to use you as a double fucking agent that collects knowledge of Hell and uses that to help him conquer all of Hell and you just fucking went along with it!?" Yelled Blitzo as he looked at Moxxie incredulously. "On top of that, you agree to go along with it because you think he can do a much better job ruling Hell than any of the Sins including Lucifer himself!?"
Moxxie just nodded at Blitzo's questions as they walked towards his father's throne room, having exited the building that they were housed and going through the city that said building was in order to reach their destination. During the trip to his father's throne, he had been explaining the whole situation with his father to everyone, including Millie. Who Mordekaiser was, his history, what he intends on doing with Hell and beyond, as well as his role in all of it. Needless to say, both Stolas and Blitzo were stunned beyond belief.
"And you mean to tell me that there's another fucking world full of humans except its full of fucking magic, magical creatures, and a bunch of super powerful gods and demons that make the Sins look weak!? Yelled Blitzo as he tried to wrap the idea of Runeterra existing along with the information of what it contains. Stolas was also trying to wrap his head around this. Another world filled with humans and magic. Such a thing should not exist and yet, according to Moxxie, it does. Having no reason to mistrust the little Imp's claim on this Runeterra, especially when he was currently walking in an entirely different afterlife from Heaven and Hell entirely, Stolas believed him. Which only threw everything he was taught about Earth, Christianity, God, and the entirety of the universe into question. If the Angels and their creator were responsible for creating humanity then why was there another world with humans that they seemingly don't know about?
"This will most certainly cause an uproar in both Hell and Heaven. Especially amongst the human souls in those realms." Thought Stolas as he imagined the political nightmare that will come with all the revelations regarding Runeterra. It was…not a pretty thought. But perhaps worse of all, the existence of undead like ghosts and Revenants, human souls that don't become demons nor angels, but something entirely different. He didn't know why, but that revelation alone scared him more than anything else that Moxxie had revealed to him and he revealed a lot of scary things like humans with godlike powers and the like. As if something deep within him was scared of the idea of human souls that don't become Angels or Demons, but something different. Something…worse.
"Fucking Satan, Moxxie!" Yelled Blitzo as he walked, completely unaware of Stolas' inner turmoil, having gotten off Morgana's head after a few minutes of being on top of her head. "If I had known you would carry this much crazy baggage with you, I wouldn't have hired you and Millie in the first place. Fucking bond you got between you two is not worth the fucking migraine that I'm getting right now with all this stuff your revealing to me."
"It gets even worse, Blitz." Said Millie with a comforting smile, recalling how she reacted to all the crazy shit that Moxxie had told her about Runeterra and his dad's realm. "There's some really crazy stuff this Runeterra and this Grey Realm got. Like really crazy stuff. I'm still wrapping my head around some of the stuff he told me." Blitzo groaned at Millie's word.
"Just fucking great." Said Blitzo as he grasped his horns in frustration. "Why the fuck is this happening to me? All I wanted was to do a business killing people and nothing more. Now I got to deal with an undead tyrant that wants to rule over all of Hell that'll fucking kill me the moment I do something he doesn't like. Just fucking great." Moxxie and everyone else just ignored him except for Stolas, who tried to comfort his lover.
"Easy, Blitzy." Said Stolas with a forced smile. Even though he tried to be cheerful, the situation he was in, followed by the number of armed guards keeping an eye on him that looked ready to slice him apart at the word of their master, along with the general atmosphere being just cold and dreary, made such things relatively…hard for him to be positive. "We're just having a nice conversation with one of your employee's father and that's it. I mean, the conversation is about something completely unrelated to us and we're only here because we were forced to due to our own concern for said employee but I'm sure that nothing bad will happen to us. Right?"
Morgana sighed at Stolas' words. Though she wasn't an empath, one didn't need to be to see the demon noble was trying hard to keep himself together. Not that she blamed him, the man was currently in a mysterious, hostile land whose people and even environment would all either kill or corrupt him at first chance were it not for their master protecting them. Though this was her first time in this realm, this Grey Realm, she can tell it was a land of darkness and corruption. Everything about this realm felt…wrong.
The metal she walked on felt wrong. The atmosphere felt wrong. The guards and Mordekaiser himself as they walked beside her felt wrong. Everything about this place felt so wrong. It was if this realm was never meant to exist yet it did and it seeked to turn everything else, regardless if they're good or evil, into it.
Even now she felt the very air in Mitna Rachnun trying to suffocate and/or corrupt her. Trying to make her undead as everything else native to this realm. It was only through the magic spell that Mordekaiser gave her before they entered this realm together as well as his own influence in said realm that she was safe from harm.
She didn't know if that was a good thing or not considering the circumstances, but she'll have to take what she can get. Even more so when she wanted to convince Mordekaiser to help against the Ruination.
As they walked, Morgana decided to note the architecture of the city around her as a mean to pass the time as well as understand how Mordekaiser rules his people. One can learn much an individual simply by observing the lands that they rule over.
The city that they were in seemed to be in evolution to Noxian architecture. Though she never seen Noxian architecture in person, she had heard how the Noxians make their cities from the refugees that live with her. Rough and ugly with no regard towards beauty and the environment around it.
The city that she was currently in had many aspects that were reminiscent of what she was told of Noxian architecture. Rough and ugly with an emphasis on practicality, spikes, and sharp edges. Along with a callous uncaring attitude towards the surrounding environment.
But for Mordekaiser's city, it seemed to put greater emphasis on uniformity and practicality. Everything was designed for total utilitarian purposes with no regard to comfort or anything else but ensuring maximum serviceability and practicality.
The roads were built with just enough room to allow several lines of people going to different directions at once. The buildings were tall and held no fanciful architecture or decorations that would get in the way of another building. And finally, the people, if they could be called that as they were an amalgamation of spirits encased in armor or not at all, walked in uniformity and in unison, seemingly ignoring the living amongst and even their lord and master. A far cry to what everyone, especially the demons, were used to.
Unnerved with the complete alien atmosphere and environment, Millie looked at Moxxie.
"So, this is where you spent most of your childhood in, honey?" Asked Millie as she looked at her husband in concern and a bit of fear in her voice, something that surprised Moxxie. If his normally brave and fearless wife was afraid of his father's realm, he wondered how other residents of Hell will react to coming to Mitna Rachnun. Realizing he needed to comfort his wife, Moxxie just gave her a tight squeeze on one of her arms.
"Yeah." Said Moxxie as he looked at his wife with a reassuring smile. "Its…quite scary, I know, but you get used to it." Seeing the reassuring smile on her husband's face calmed Millie down a bit.
"I'll take your word for it, honey." Said Millie with a slight smile on her face. "*Chuckles* When we were first here, I wanted to explore this place more. Now that I have, I kind of not want to come here again. Which kind of makes me jealous of you, hun. You can just walk around this place without much fear of this place while I'm itching to get the hell out of here."
"Believe me, Millie, I'm quite scared of being here again too, especially with the circumstance we're in right now." Said Moxxie with a slight chuckle. "But it's a fear that you learn to just get used to deal with when living here. I remember all the times I had to be around my father whenever I wanted to sleep after a nightmare or two. He just let me hold onto him as I slept in his lap." When everyone heard that, they all looked at Moxxie in shock.
"Your dad let you sleep on his lap!?" Yelled Millie in shock. She remembered all the times her parents told her to suck it up whenever she got nightmares when she was a kid and she wanted to sleep with them. Yet Mordekaiser, who seemed a lot stricter and harsher than her parents allowed Moxxie to sleep on his lap when he had nightmares.
"This fucker?" Said Blitzo as he looked at Mordekaiser's back. Even from just seeing his back, Blitzo can see that the man's lap did not remotely look appealing to sleep on. Let alone be comfortable or even safe to sit on with all those hard angles and hard metal. "What the fuck? How the fuck did you sleep at all sleeping on him? There doesn't seem to be any soft place to sleep on that armor."
"Its soft enough." Said Moxxie as he recalled those days. "When it was enchanted with magic and there were some really soft blankets and pillows to go with it. Plus, it's the thought that counts." While the Imps were arguing with each other, Morgana looked at Mordekaiser in amusement.
"You let him sleep on your lap?" Asked Morgana as she walked up to Mordekaiser with a small smile on her face. Even though she was a bit mad at him for his current actions regarding the Ruination, Morgana couldn't help but find the image of a young Moxxie taking a nap on Mordekaiser's lap a bit adorable. Mordekaiser simply gave a grunt at her words.
"He asked and I indulged him. I will not do something similar again now that he's all grown up." Said Mordekaiser simply before opening a portal to his throne room. "This portal will take us to my throne room. I advise you all to enter it now." Whenever heard that, they all looked at him incredulously except for Morgana and Moxxie.
"If you could have just teleported us to where your fucking throne was, why the fuck didn't you do that earlier?" Demanded Blitzo as he glared at Mordekaiser. The Iron Revenant simply gave a glare at Blitzo, making him shut up.
"To show you the future." Said Mordekaiser simply as he looked at the demons before him. "To show you my grand vision of what will come to Hell. And eventually to Earth, Runeterra, and Heaven. Memorize what you saw as you walked my streets, demons. For it is an example of what I intend to make of Hell when I come to rule it all." Hearing his words, the demons went silent as they processed his words. Without a uttering another word, Mordekaiser went through the portal. Once he went through, the guards that accompanied them prodded everyone to the dark blue portal that Mordekaiser made. Seeing that they were forced to do what Mordekaiser wanted, everyone went through the portal.
Moments after they all went through the portal, Mordekaiser stopped them all from proceeding further and it was obvious why.
"Holy Shit!" Yelled Moxxie as his father stopped him from taking a plunge to his death by walking off the metal platform that he was now on. Looking down, he saw the dark, empty, and seemingly endless pool of nothingness that was the bottom of Mitna Rachnun. His father warned him long ago of the dangers of falling to the endless pit that was Mitna Rachnun's bottom. He alone knows the dangers of falling and though he never revealed to Moxxie what would happen if he did fall, Mordekaiser made it clear to the Imp that it was a fate worse than death.
It was the reason why he made his throne room baby-proof, as much he could anyway, while Mordekaiser took care of Moxxie. The chances of a newborn falling towards the endless void of Mitna Rachnun's bottom was…high to say the least.
"Satan's ass!" Yelled Blitzo as he too was saved from falling to his death by one of Mordekaiser's soldiers, who grabbed him he moment he stepped out of the portal, thus preventing him from falling to his death. "God damn motherfucking edgelord, why the fuck did you make a portal on the edge of a floor. You asshole!"
"In hopes one of you would die." Said Mordekaiser simply before going over to his iron throne and sitting upon it.
"Was that suppose to be a fucking joke?" Asked Blitzo incredulously as he looked at Mordekaiser. While Blitzo asked this question, Moxxie looked around his surroundings to notice that his dad's throne room was vastly different to what he remembered when he lived in Mitna Rachnun.
Unlike years ago where there were walls, a full floor that didn't run the risk of people falling to their deaths, his dad's throne room was completely out in the open, revealing the dark and dreary nature that was Mitna Rachnun. With floating pieces of metal all around him, Mordekaiser sat on his throne of jagged metal, his mace Nightfall next to him.
"Now." Said Mordekaiser as he looked at the assembled demons, Morgana, and his guards as he willed some metal fragments to gather around the metal platform everyone was on so they be less likely to fall to their deaths. "Let us discuss the Ruination and why I should change my mind regarding my decision towards it."
