Out of all the merchandise and meet-and-greet attractions in the convention, unsurprisingly, Lori and the other heroes are the main attraction of this convention. There were a line of tables for the three human heroes to sit in, and Ghost Dog - being a canine, wasn't given a booth but a nice dog bed that one would find at a pet store, and he rested himself on the bed like the king of his castle as there was a long line of people coming to meet the heroes. The lines were so long that it stretched outside of the doors like a long-awaited premiere at the movie theater (but without the tents for the patrons camping out all night).
"Step right up!" said one of the employees. "meet the newest heroes of Royal Woods and get to know them a little."
There were three lines in this event; one for Lori, one for Lincoln, and one for Void since Farley is Void's dog after all. And to show her more kind side, there was a sponsor to help the Royal Woods Humane society to help pets in need of loving homes, and she is certain that this convention will help out the cause. The first up on the meet-and-greet for Lori was a little girl with her dad. "Hello Volcano Girl." said the little girl. "I am your biggest fan, and i want to be just like you when i grow up!"
Lori smiled warmly at the adorable little kid. "You can literally be whatever you want to be."
"Can I have a hug?" asked the little girl with her arms wide.
"Of course, sweetie." Lori got out of her booth and knelt down to give the little girl a hug. It was a heartwarming moment that was happening, and the fire girl even took a selfie picture with her and the little lady together. The girl's father even took a photo with his own phone.
"what do you say, honey?" said her father
"Thank you, Volcano Girl."
"You're welcome, honey." As she and her dad walked away, Lori smiled, knowing that she really mare someone's day. Of course, there are still plenty of people to meet and take pictures with. There was no telling when the line will end up, but there was going to be a lot of people wanting to meet them.
Void was meeting a couple of teenagers around his age, about three teen boys. "Dude, care to take the mask off?" Said one of the teens in an enthusiastic voice
"Sorry, but you know it would be risky for me to reveal me true identity, don't you."
"Right." Said the second teen boy, sounding a little bummed. "To keep your friends and family safe."
"Exactly." Nevertheless, Void managed to get a nice photo with these three fans, and gave them his warmest regards.
Lincoln's case was interesting in his side of the booth. Many visitors wanting to meet and get a photo with him were pre-teen girls girls, and some teenage girls around Lori's age. "I bet you look super cute under that mask." Said a teen girl. "And your beaver teeth even cuter."
Lincoln flushed snd replied: "Well, i'm not reslly handsome." Looking very bashful.
"don't be coy." Said one of the teen girl's best friends. "I would love to know your secret identity."
"Sorry girls. But I can't tell you. They don't call it a secret identity for nothing."
nevertheless, Lincoln got a nice photo op with these ladies. "Bonjour." Said Ghost Dog. "I know, i know. I'm a fluffy and cute dog."
"You're so cool." Said a man. "I wish my dog was like you."
"Merci. But zis isn't a contest. You should always love your pets, no matter what." Said Ghost Dog.
"Right, right of course."
"Feel free to give a cent or a dollar to the Humane Society box. My brothers and sisters can really use your help."
"Even one cent can count in fulfilling our goal." Said Void.
As many people were coming to meet the heroes, countless people were putting some of their change into the donation box. Mostly it was just one dollar, but it was better than nothing. Farley was getting the same treatment as the three boys from before the booth was set. Many people petting and stroking his black fur, along with belly rubs from many people. The mutant dog was liking this kind of treatment from the fans in this convention.
If there was one thing most dogs love more than anything, it would be: belly rubs. "Show us some of your powers, Volcano girl." said a teenage boy fan. "A cool trick or something!"
"Well, i don't know." said Lori, looking a little nervous. "Fire can be dangerous and i don't want to set the place on fire, or burn all of you."
"Come on on, please?" said another fan with a "puppy dog" face. In fact; a lot of people are doing the "puppy dog" face. At last, it was too much for Lori to bear, and she finally gave in
"OK, OK." Lori chuckled. "Just stand back and clear the way, everyone." she took a deep breath and pointed her head at a sixty-degree angle, and shot out a narrow wave of fire from her mouth as if she was a dragon instead of a person. She was breathing fire for at least five seconds before she stopped, making everyone clap and cheer for her. As everyone stopped their clapping, there was one kind of clapping still heard. Slow, and sounding sarcastic.
Everyone, being curious, looked to see who it was. Everyone gasped in shock to see that it was Snow Flaker, who was with Solar Flare, both looking smug. "Bravo." said Snow Flaker. "Bravo indeed! A round of applause for a young, inexperienced teenage superhero."
"yeah, you atill have a lot to learn about being a superhero, Volcano Girl." Solar Flare looked smug too.
"Snow Flaker and Solar Flare?" Said Lori, looking ready to fight. "What are you doing here?"
"Oh you're not happy to see us?" Said Snow Flaker
"Well you're supervillains." Said Void. "What did you expect?"
"And how did you get past security anyway?" Asked Lincoln
"Come on, Laser Boy," said the ice-themed villain. "I have cryokenesis, rememeber?" He looked at the security guards that have been turned into human icicles.
"What do you want?" Said Lori.
"The usual things." said Solar Flare. "Cause some sweet destruction, and get revenge on you all for putting us in prison before!"
"Get out before we put you there again." Said Lori sternly.
"we don't take orders from you, kid" Snow Flaker said. "I prefer doing things the hard way."
"Same with me." Solar Flare smirked as he fired a wave of light at Lori, knocking her into the back wall, desrroying some random merchandise. The next thing she remembered while dizzy was hearing the sounds of screaming people running around and evacuating the building. As soon as she gained composure, she saw Void landing punches at Solar Flare in hia face. The light villain was fast and dodged a punch and landed a knee kick at his chest and began punching Void in the face now.
Lincoln was dodging many ice blasts that Snow Flaker and fired one of his lasers at the icy villain's chest. This convention went from a regular, fun event to a boxing event (and not a fun kind). Nevertheless, Lori managed to get back on her feet and regain her mental composure, and get back in the ring.
Of all the times there would be a fight between good and evil, why did it have to hit a place like a convention? Nevertheless, Lori and her cohorts needed to save the Convention from these two villainous men from causing any more destruction. Every fan, every employee, every other participant in this event depended on the heroes and their heroic prowess. Getting her head back in the game, the teenage superhero fired a wave of flames at Snow Flaker, who fruitlessly used a wave of ice to keep it at bay. Obviously, that went to no avail for him and he flew into a wall behind him, making him dizzy in return.
Then Lori felt a hard kick to the face by Solar Flare while she was too focused on the ice-themed villain, and felt another kick, only for her to dodge the third strike and, to his surprise, Lori gave him a painful headbutt to the forehead, despite leaving a slight crack on her own forehead.
"Ow." Lori said to herself as she was dizzy from the blow she inflicted on the flashy light villain
Solar Flare himself said; "ow! That hurts. Looking at the blood that came form the slightly cracked forehead, he looked at Lori in anger. "How dare you leave a mark on me like that?" Said Solar Flare. He gave the superhero a blast of light, knocking her on the floor and before she could react in retaliation, she felt her neck being grabbed by Solar Flare and in his eyes, she can see that he was infuriated.
