Sonic felt himself stir awake and realizing that he ached all over. He still felt that surge of power from the chaos emeralds, which made him wake up faster. His vision was blurry as he sat up, rubbing his head like it heard a lot. He felt like he got hit by a truck as he rubbed it.

"Man... What a headache," Sonic said to himself, "What happened...?"

Sonic then noticed that his quills were still reacting to the chaos emeralds's powers. There were blue sparks coming off of him as if something was causing them to do this. His powers didn't usually react this way, but sometimes the chaos emeralds did enhance them. He must've accidentally messed with his powers when he touched them.

Then he remembered what had happened, realizing that he wasn't even in Dr. Robotnik's base anymore. He looked around frantically, realizing that Cream and Cheese were no where to be found. Neither was Knuckles, Tails or Amy.

Sonic was laying down in the middle of a busy street, causing a traffic jam. Then he noticed that a lot of people were looking at him as if they had never seen anyone like him before. Sonic noticed that some of the people around him looked no different than him. He'd even say that some of them looked more animal like than others, but it still confused him as to where he was.

Sonic could hear everyone talking amongst themselves as Sonic tried to get up.

"Who is that, or what is that thing?"

"I don't know. He looks like he might have a mutant type quirk."

"But then how did he appear like that out of no where?"

"Maybe he has a strong quirk. He's kind of short though for a mutant type quirk."

"Mutant quirk? What's that?" Sonic mumbled to himself.

Sonic tried to shake off this feeling, but he still felt a bit off from the intial shockwave. He had to look around to find out where he was. Before he could even run off, the police had shown up to check on him. One of them was brave enough to walk up to him before Sonic could run off.

"Hey. May I ask how you got here?" He asked Sonic, "We don't want to cause a scene. Just let us know what happened, and we can help you find out where you live."

Sonic was shocked that he even understood what they were saying to him. What was even more shocking was that he was being treated like them when he clearly wasn't. Whatever was going on around here, he had to have been on Mobius still... right?

Sonic looked at the police officer, and he wondered if he should trust him. Before he could say anything, Sonic felt his powers acting up. The blue sparks came off of him as if it needed to charge up. The police officer reacted, but Sonic tried to defend himself.

"N-No! I-I'm not trying to hurt you!" Sonic tried to explain, "M-My powers! Th-They seem to be acting up on their own!"

Sonic hoped that they would understand, but he didn't know where he was. If anything, he had to get out of here before his powers acted up around them. He didn't want to hurt anyone, especially the police. Before he even knew it himself, Sonic took off in a flash. The police were shocked to witness this blue hedgehog run away so fast that no one would be able to catch up to him.

"Stop! Wait!" He cried out, "Someone call it in!"

Sonic kept running, wondering where to look first. He didn't recognize this place and kept finding even more areas that didn't look familiar. Sonic gritted teeth in frustration, not knowing if his friends were okay or not. Wherever they were, he had to find them quick. Sonic kept running, no sure where else to look. Based on the people around him, they didn't seem like anyone that he had ever seen before.

They mentioned mutant quirks, but even he didn't know what that meant. He wondered if had anything to do with some of the people that live around here. They weren't surprised by his appearance so they might've been used to weird appearances. Something about that felt refreshing to him, hoping that it would help him blend in better while he figuring out where to go.

Then again, the police might be after him now.

Sonic kept running, now knowing where he was going. Before he knew it, he noticed some people in some costumes that stood out. They looked like heroes to him as they stood there proudly. Something about it seemed so amazing to see as his eyes lit up in awe. It felt like everything was in slow motion as he spotted a hero with flames on his shoulders and even around his face. He looked so cool that he couldn't believe what he was seeing.

For a moment, he thought that the hero spotted him. Sonic was shocked that this hero could even notice him running so fast. Before he could react however, Sonic was already gone. He kept going, not looking back at the hero. He wanted to stop and ask questions, but he had to keep going. He thought that maybe if he got up higher, he might be able to get a better view of this place.

Sonic ran alongside a building when no one was watching and ran upwards. Once he got to the top, he noticed that it was dark outside. All of the lights in the city were on, making it look even brighter than ever before. Sonic's eyes widened in awe with how amazing it looked here. People were shopping, but they all looked so different in many different shapes and sizes. Some even looked like they could be friends based on animal like appearances.

He was surprised to find himself here, but still didn't even know where he was exactly.

Sonic sat down, worried that his friends were hurt. He didn't know if Cream and Cheese were okay. Even Knuckles was there with him. He just hoped that Tails and Amy were okay as well. Whatever Dr. Robotnik was planning, he knew that it wasn't anything good. He just hoped that he stopped his plans from coming true.

"Where are you guys?" Sonic asked himself, "This place... I can't tell where I am."

Sonic looked down at his hands, remembering that feeling of the chaos emeralds. They were in the palms of his hands when they acted up like that. Something about it felt different from any other time that he's held them. It felt like Chaos Control, which made him nervous. Knuckles has spoken about this before to him, and he knew that Dr. Robotnik might've been planning something along those lines. He could swear that he could still feel the energy coursing through him.

The chaos emeralds weren't with him, so he worried that Dr. Robotnik got his wish.

"Eggman... I'll get you for this..."

Sonic got ready to leave, when someone suddenly shot up into the air. They landed pretty hard onto the rooftop, losing Sonic's grip onto the roof a bit. His eyes widened, realizing that the guy with flames followed him. He looked way more intimidating than he did just a moment ago. He stood there as if he were facing a villain, ready to take him down.

"I got a call from the police that there was a talking blue hedgehog running faster than they could keep up with," He said to Sonic, "I didn't believe them, but then I remember seeing something run by. It was you, wasn't it?"

Sonic didn't know how to respond. He couldn't go back to the police since he had to find his friends. They had to be around here somewhere if Chaos Control was involved. He had find them before anyone else did. He crossed his arms, trying to look just as intimidating as him. That only seemed to annoy this guy as he stood up to him.

"Yeah. What if it was me?" Sonic asked him back, "Look, I can't stick around here for much longer. I'm looking for my friends, and I can't get dragged back to the police right now. That would only slow me down even more."

"Sorry kid, but that's not my problem," He said back to Sonic, "You should just go back to the police and tell them that you're looking for your friends. They can help you more than me right now."

Sonic couldn't go back there, not when he needed to figure out what was going on. He had to keep going and find his friends before doing anything else. Before this hero knew it, Sonic had taken off. He kept going, but then noticed flames in the corner of his eye. This flame hero was going after him and was gaining up to him faster than he expected.

"Whoa! He's pretty fast," Sonic said to him, "But I bet he can't run at the speed of sound."

Sonic started avoiding cars and trying to lose track of him. When he looked back, he somehow could keep track of him as he weaved around traffic. The flamed hero looked a bit annoyed as Sonic kept running. He smiled, which only seemed to fuel his annoyance.

"Come on kid. Don't make this more difficult than it needs to be," He said to Sonic as he flew across the streets.

Sonic couldn't help but smile, feeling a sense of excitement as he kept running. He felt so good running around as this flaming hero went after him. Even if he was trying to stop him, it felt good to have this moment of running around after what happened. He noticed a truck driving right in front of him, and he quickly slid underneath.

"Whoa! That was a close one!" Sonic exclaimed to himself.

Sonic looked as he kept running only to find the flaming hero rocketing himself over the truck. He looked pissed off, which got Sonic to go much faster. Sonic didn't want to cause trouble, but he really needed to find his friends. Wherever they were, he just hoped that they were all safe and accounted for. He ran as fast as he could, but this hero kept going at him. For a moment, he could feel his heat coming from him as he got closer.

"Stop running!" He cried out, "Kid, you clearly have no hero license. You're not allowed to run around like this!"

Sonic was confused and baffled at the same time. He wasn't allowed to run around with his powers for some reason here. Wherever he was, this was definitely not Mobius. They never had rules or laws against using their powers. If anything, everyone looked up to Sonic as a hero maybe even like this guy. Sonic could tell that this guy was a hero here based on his powers and the way he stood tall back there with other civilians. He looked like he knew how to handle villains.

Sonic knew that he had to get away from him then as he accelerated a bit more. That seemed to catch the hero off guard as he tried to keep up with him. Sonic then noticed him throwing fire at him at a long range. He almost got hit, but managed to dodge him pretty quickly. He couldn't believe that he was even in this situation as he tried to avoid his fire balls. He wanted to look back, but he could barely even avoid his attacks.

He knew that he was really pissed off based on his yelling.

"Stop running!" The flame hero cried out.

Sonic couldn't help but smile at this challenge, even if he was a hero that he was facing up against.

"Sorry, but nothing can slow me down. Not even you," Sonic said back, only fueling this hero's anger.

Sonic felt that energy course through him as he built up speed. Blue sparks were coming off of him as he kept running, but slowed down for a moment. The flaming hero almost grabbed him, which shocked even himself. Before the hero knew it, Sonic launched at a tremendous speed that made him drop his jaw. The electric current caused the hero to fly back and hit a building across the street. The shock wave was much more powerful than he expected, causing a lot of the lights and electricity to flicker around the city.

It almost caused a huge power outage across the country.

Sonic ran so fast that he didn't know where he was going. He just knew that he had to get away from the hero before he got into trouble again. Sonic kept running, not realizing that he was heading out of the city. He had been running for a while and now the energy from the chaos emeralds from earlier made him even more tired than usual. He actually for once felt exhausted from using Sonic Boom to run faster.

The blue sparks coming off of him faded away as he slowed down for a moment. He could barely run anymore, which was a first for him. Sonic had never felt this tired before, but kept going. He didn't know where he was or what was going on with his friends. All he knew was that he was stuck in a place that he didn't recognize.

Sonic looked around him, wondering if Tails was flying around the city looking for him. He at least hoped that Knuckles was looking after Cream and Cheese. Since he wasn't around, he worried about them and even Amy in some ways. She made have annoyed him at times, but he still cared about her. Whatever happened back there, he knew that something was off about this place.

He just hoped that Dr. Robotnik was leaving them alone while he figured out what to do next.

Sonic for once had no idea what to do. He looked around and didn't see anything that he recognized. Sonic even wondered if he'd be able to look for a place to sleep tonight. He kept walking, worried that he might need to wait until tomorrow morning to look for his friends. He was use to sleeping outside, so that didn't bother him. What bothered him was not knowing where to go from here.

Sonic soon came across a park that was open to anyone walking around it. He smiled and headed over there. Some of the civilians were looking at him, but nothing that made him feel out of place. He kept walking even though his legs hurt so much. Sonic tried to keep going and soon spotted a bench nearby. He tried to run over to it, but ended up tripping on his own two feet.

Sonic tried to stand up, but his legs weren't cooperating very well. The blue sparks weren't as frequent as they were before, so he worried that something was wrong. He still kept going and tried his best to get up. Eventually he stood up even though he started to feel dizzy. He slowly made his way to the bench, feeling exhausted once he sat down.

He let out a sigh, feeling so relaxed for a moment. Then he noticed how cold it was outside. He looked around for a blanket, but couldn't find anything that was remotely close to one. Then he saw something sticking out of the trashcan that looked like a newspaper. He was grossed out that he was even considering this, but took it out anyway.

Sonic took it out and noticed some big bold letters on the cover.

AllMight The Symbol of Peace Is No More!

Sonic's eyes widened in shock, confused as to who this AllMight guy was. He seemed like a hero here in this place, whatever this place may be. Whoever he was, he use to be the Symbol of Peace. Something happened here, and Sonic had no idea what it was. Then he noticed where this place was on the newspaper.

Musutafu, Japan.

"Japan...?" Sonic said out loud.

Sonic's heart dropped realizing that he wasn't even on Mobius anymore. He almost dropped the newspaper, but tighten his grip on it.

"...I-I'm not even on Mobius...?" Sonic said to himself.

Something about that really bothered him, not knowing where his friends were. They might not even be here with him. They could still be on Mobius for all he knew. In a way, he hoped that they were here with him. Sonic couldn't help look up at the night sky, hoping that they were doing the same thing. The moon looked the same and so did the stars. Something about that made him feel more at home as he laid down on the bench.

Sonic curled up with the newspaper, feeling lonely for once. He actually really wanted his friends beside him. After all that he's done, running around and doing things by himself, he actually wanted to slow down a bit and have them here with him. All he wanted was to find his friends so he could hug them and apologize for always running off all the time.

Before he knew it, Sonic was falling asleep on the bench. Not even the wind woke him up with how absolutely exhausted he was. Sonic slept pretty soundly considering how cold it was. Luckily no one dared to wake him up and just let him sleep. As Sonic slept soundly on the bench in a park, someone from further away was sleeping as well.

They were stirring in their sleep in a hero school called U.A. They were asleep in their dorm room along with all of their classmates. It was quiet, but a kid with green hair and freckles was stirring around in their bed. Something was bothering him in his sleep, feeling unfamiliar surge of power flowing through him.

He felt something inside of him surging with a strong power that he never came across. Something about it however felt good, but he couldn't shake off this feeling. It soon felt like something that he had been through before. He soon felt an overwhelming power that came from somewhere outside of U.A.

He could see it, all seven colors of them.

Before he knew it, a blast of wind came out of his dorm room. Whatever dream he had caused his quirk to act up. He had woken him with a really strong flow of power charging all around him. His eyes were widened in shock, confused as to what just happened. His mouth was open and nothing was coming out as he stared at his balcony.

Not only did his window breaking into a million pieces, but also his wall had been blown off as well. He stood there, still trying to catch his breath. For a moment, he looked at his hands and still felt that strong surge of power. It felt like something charged up his quirk and activated it.

"Wha-What... What just happened...?"

Another amazing chapter!

I really like this chapter a lot. I actually really enjoyed writing Sonic throughout this chapter. Something about him being alone in Japan is really interesting to me. He's always running off by himself without really thinking about his friends. I always found him interesting when it comes to stuff like that. With Endeavor getting involved, I definitely he'll come back in some way. It reminded me of when Sam from Sonic X raced him, although this is still completely different. Again, I wanted it to be similar to it, but still do my own thing.

Now Midoriya is getting involved in this in some way! It seems like One for All activated on its own for some reason... Again, this is before he gets those dreams with One for All. Things might go down a different path because of it.

What's going to happen next??

More to come soon!
