Bao Yileng's mother's heart broke as she looked at the information her eldest son had sent over.

She couldn't imagine Ai Chi Shi's mother was ignorant of her plans and behaviour and yet she never warned her.

No, enough was enough, she wouldn't keep such vipers in her house any longer.

Calling her butler she had Ai Chi Shi escorted out, her cries of denial and demanding to still be engaged to her eldest made Mrs Bao's heart grow cold.

"Don't appear before me again! Tell your mother the same!"

She never thought the day would come her good friend and their daughter would seek to deceive her.

When the girl was gone, the room was quiet. Too quiet.

Her sons were always gone, same with her husband, she'd always grow lonely. She'd confided and appreciated so much Ai Chi Shi for spending time with her during those times but those times didn't take away the pain she caused.

Mrs Bao had always wanted more children but due to something in the Bao genetics there was never more than two children born.

They were a small family, the first generation to have two sons born in some time. When the boys were young their grandparents had passed away.

When Bao Yileng was only ten he had gone to a boarding school close to where his father trained his troupes. He would train on the weekends and so she did not see either her husband or oldest son often.

Her second son, due to his weak health, decided to focus on business and had made quite the name for himself. But because he was always busy he was rarely home too.

In such a big house all alone Mrs Bao would feel ever so lonely.

--

When her husband returned home she could see something weighed heavily on his mind. Taking his coat and massaging his shoulders she asked what had happened.

"It seems there is going to be a change in the world."

Mrs Bao furrowed her brow.

"A meteor fell over M country. There's a large amount of virus residue on it. I'm afraid it will not be long, perhaps only a few days, a disaster will befall humanity."

Mrs Bao slumped next to him, her face in her hands, "What will we do?"

The day's previous unpleasantness went to the back of her mind, as the end of the world took precedent.

--

Qin Ye back at headquarters was quick to inform Bao Yileng of the news.

Yileng sat forward hands in a tent before him, "After you take care of the Ai family, go to M country and find out more."

Qin Ye nodded and left.

As soon as he left Bao Yileng called his younger brother, Bao Yibing, he let out a cold chuckle when he heard the surprised exclamation as he answered.

"You are awake!"

Bao Yibing had a habit of surrounding himself in work especially when there were matters in his personal life he could do nothing about.

"Brother, did you miss me?" His excitable brother exclaimed.

He let out a cold chuckle as an answer, "The weather is about to change, brother, take care of Mom and Dad. I'm going to W city tomorrow."

"Something big is about to happen isn't it?"

Bao Yileng hummed in response, "I'm going to W city to find your sister-in-law."

"What? Are you joking? Ai Chi Shi is your fiance, right?"

"As if I ever accepted she was." Bao Yileng swallowed the residual anger that burned inside, "She has been formally rejected, the engagement void."

"Goodbye."

Bao Yileng didn't have time for no doubt the series of exclamations his brother would have. He had a wife to catch.
