Her eyes were just so blue and so glittery and the idea of turning down her proposal("Not a marriage proposal—get your head outta the clouds, kid!") was the equivalent of a dagger to the heart. Not to mention that her adorable, kissable lips were pursed and pouty and all that Adrien wanted to do was get down to his knees and cry because dammit how is she so damn cute!?
First, he should probably answer with something coherent before anyone starts questioning why he was just staring at her.
"O-Of course! I'm more than happy to teach you how to fence. You can ask me anything, Marinette." He answered automatically, the feline within him puffing his chest up in pride when a delighted smile took over her face and her hands bundled up into cute little fists against her chin. Dieu, how could anyone ever even dream of saying'no' to the Marinette Dupain-Cheng? In his opinion, it should be a crime to deny Marinette of anything but alas, the rest of the world isn't as enlightened as he is. That aside, he couldn't help but be curious about one thing and voiced his question. "If you don't mind me asking, how come you want to start learning now? You can count on me to protect you if it's because of Le Papillon and the Akumas." He almost bit his tongue for how Chat Noir he was suddenly acting but he just couldn't help it.
She just brings out his charms so naturally.
"Maybe...maybe I want to protect you, Adrien." Her answer was soft and her blues sucked him right in, rendering him speechless. He was dead. He was doomed. He was a goner.
And all he could do was gulp audibly with a big, bright red blush.
She's too cute!
"I can't wait...I MEAN!" He was scrambling for words, his hands animated and his complexion as rosy as his partner's heroic supersuit. "I can't wait to teach you! Not that I can't wait for you to protect me— THOUGH I HOPE YOU'RE NEVER IN DANGER! I! Erm!" Oh Dieu-uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu. Can Plagg just come out and turn him into ashes now so that he can stop embarrassing himself!? Surprisingly, Marinette held his hands tenderly and smiled with that sweet, endearing grin that melted his heart.
"I can't wait either. To learn from you and...to protect you~" Her tone ended with a teasing lilt and all he could do was childishly pout whilst everyone else who was observing them snickered to themselves. Oh, those evil little blue eyes.
