Chapter 4: Omekata Temple
At the 3LDK Apartment.
Motoharu and Touma were getting dressed. "To think we'll check out some cult."
"Yeah, but, it sounds weird that there is one in the city," Touma commented.
"C'mon Kami, the plan is to the cases I've been happening. That and Kurusu got word or rather the details about Minene getting abducted." Motoharu then smirked. "Just pray and hope she doesn't see you otherwise...you're dead."
Steam erupted from Touma's head with three anime veins. "Very funny!" He barked annoyingly.
Accelerator was stretching his body. "I hope to have some action. I wonder how many heads will roll." Last Order came dancing at the white-haired teenager. "Hey, this will be a blast checking a cult "exclaims Misaka Misaka hoping the cult has some cool traditions"!" She chanted excitedly.
"Sorry, squirt, Aiho will be looking after you at this time." Accelerator informed. Last Order got all pouty. "That isn't fair "pouts Misaka Misaka wanting to see the cult"."
Kanzaki was in the city taking a stroll with Index and arrived at the mall. "To think this kind of mall is in the city."
Index was amazed but mostly at the food restaurants. "I want to eat so much." She chanted almost drooling like a hungry canine.
Kanzaki was looking around the center lost in thought. She looked at her watch. "It's almost 9:00, no doubt that Kurusu is driving to Yukiteru's place."
Index felt utterly concerned about the mission. "Touma...I hope he'll be alright."
F
She went to talk to Touma but the moment she arrived at the room he was staying at, she noticed the door was cracked open and overheard a conversation. "So, Minene was abducted by the Omekata Cult."
"Yeah, at least that's what Kurusu's Diary said, but, either way, we're supposed to tag along. The chief will be picking up the lovebirds and meet us there." Motoharu replied. "Though, I get a feeling that there might be another Diary Holder in this cult."
"What makes you think that there's another Diary User?" Touma asked.
"Like how we allied with two Diary Holders, it could be possible that others will team up to gain the upper hand."
F
Index looked down at the floor. "No doubt, these Diary users will team up to gain advantages. Though, when you have alliances, expect betrayal. Though, that isn't the case with my friends but still..."
She felt a certain touch on her shoulder. "Index, come on, let's go to the waffle house it's breakfast time." Kanzaki pointed at a nearby restaurant.
At the orphanage.
Orin and Taro were watering the plants outside in the front yard. "To think people are still hunting down 9th." Taro scoffed. "Talk about a pain in the ass."
Orin had a blank expression. "Yes, but, anyway, I have to infiltrate the Omekata Cult."
"Well, well, looks like the two apprentice Diary uses are still lingering here." There was a teenage boy with bulbous spiked, red-orange hair with bangs curling outward around his face. The boy had a taunting smile on his face. "Honestly, I was hoping to get some action but it seems I have observed. Though, it's better than letting some underlings like you two hold me back."
Vector
Age: Unknown
Race: Unknown
Affiliation: Mother's House
Taro glared at the other teenage boy. "Nobody asked for your opinion, Vector." The spiked-haired boy just chuckled mockingly. "So sorry, didn't I hurt your feelings, geek."
Taro was about to lash out until Orin put her arm out. "Let it go, this isn't the time for us to be arguing among ourselves. On top of that, he'll be investigating First's new friends. Our sources told us that there are two at the mall."
Yukiteru was awoken at his house by a call from Kurusu. He got dressed and met the chief outside his front door and was reminded that he forgot to check in after he returned from Yuno's house.
Yukiteru decided to inform them of what he found at Yuno's house until he saw Yuno in the back seat. "Crap..." He cursed.
Later on the freeway, Kurusu explained the situation of what his Diary informed him about 9th being abducted. "Seriously, do you think this cult has something to do with 9th's abduction?"
"No doubt, though, finding her is going to be tricky. On top of that, we'll be meeting the head of the Omeketa Cult. Her name is Tsubaki Kasugano." Kurusu replied. "Plus, if you're wondering how I got the cult's leader's name, that Uiharu girl was able to hack into their system. I admit, I never met anyone like that girl."
Yuno let out a small gasp as Yukiteru did. "Seriously, Uiharu can do that without getting detected!?"
Kurusu smirked a little. "Sure can, though, in fact, she's looking into something related to the cult. It's about the death of Tsubaki's parents. According to the report, her parents died in an accident." Yukiteru felt somewhat bad for Tsubaki.
"I'm not sure why Uiharu is looking further, but, whatever." Kurusu shrugged his shoulders. "Anyway, I'll talk to any of the assistants once we arrive and Touma along with three friends of his will be there."
At Omekata Temple
Kurusu, Yuno, and Yukiteru entered the front. Waiting there was Touma, Accelerator, Motoharu, and Orsola(who was wearing her underrobe).
Touma was astonished at the cult's traditional ways. "Looks quite fancy."
Motoharu smirked. "Yeah, cults can have traditions that pass down from generation to generation."
Accelerator just scoffed. "Their outfits are boring."
Orsola cleared her throat. "Now, now, mind your manners."
Kurusu saw Orin approaching them. "Excuse me for a minute."
Yukiteru was looking at a frog that was lying down on a rock next to a pond. "How am I supposed to let the cat out of the bag without Yuno strangling it?" He thought concerningly. He picked up the frog looking at it. "If she killed those two, what are my chances?" He glanced at Yuno behind him as he thought.
"Hey guys," Motoharu interrupted with a smirk. "How was your date?"
Yukiteru didn't feel like talking much but distracting him from the last night's discovery might ease him a little. "Just fine...just fine." He noticed the blonde teenager looking at him like he wasn't convinced. "Wait, why is he looking at me like that?" He took a quick look at Yuno, who looked a little uneasy as he did.
Tsuchikimado's smirk returned on his face. "I see, that's good to know. You know, I feel jealous it's not every day us guys like you get a chick that follows you." Yukiteru just groaned but didn't reply though, he felt some comfort being around others.
Touma stood Yukiteru. "You know, you should let that frog go now." He suggested.
"Right..." Yukiteru was about to toss it into the pond but it was eaten by a fish startling him. "Ahh!"
"Geez, don't get all wussy on us," Accelerator groaned.
Yukiteru decided to start a conversation. "You guys, how did you guys know each other, I mean how did you meet each other?"
Touma decided to answer first. "Well, Motoharu and I go to the same high school. We're in the same class too."
Motoharu smirked again. "Well, our homeroom teacher has a thing for Kamijou." Touma tensed up comically while Yukiteru looked at the high school boy with an odd look. "Say what?"
"That's not sure, Ms. Komoe is strict when it comes to teaching, if our class makes some mistakes in our lessons she punishes us." Touma corrected.
Motoharu laughed. "I must tell you that Kamijou has a harem disease."
POW!
The blonde magician esper hybrid was punched in the face. "Moron, I don't have a harem disease!" Touma yelled as he landed another punch, the two began fighting each other creating a fighting cloud.
The cult members nearby saw this and stared with blank expressions.
Orsola giggled. "They fight like brothers."
Yukiteru wasn't sure how to react to this.
"Hey, you punk!" Kurusu shouted. "Stop with this childish fight!"
The two teenage boys stopped their brawl and stood up. "Anyway, we got an appointment with their leader." The police chief informed calming down. Orin escorted them but not before having them wearing the cult's strap. Kurusu felt a little odd wearing it. "What is this for?"
"It's a tradition thing," Orin replied eyeing at the policeman.
Accelerator was unimpressed. "Looks like garbage."
Orsola found it a little cute but creepy at the same time. "I think it's unique." Orin smiled a little. "The lady will like to hear such a praise." She looked at the girl suspiciously. "Hm, she looks like no ordinary girl..." She eyed the staff on her back. "What is that on her back...a staff or something?" She ignored it and escorted the group through the temple.
Tsubaki was reading a scroll. "An interesting boy..." She cooed weirdly. She then looked up and saw Orin escorting Kurusu and the teenagers. She had an eye on Yuno. "I can sense dread from her." She then saw Touma. "That boy...he's the boy from the newspaper...the one that gave the speech at 9th." A faint smile was shown on her face. "I wonder if he's true to his word about saving people even if they are nothing but trash."
She then looked at Motoharu. "I sense calmness within him. He seems like a lightheaded boy." Her eyes were on Orsola. "A young teenage girl. Her appearance is astounding yet she seems mature for her age." And lastly, she eyed Accelerator, which she felt a sense of dread. "Those eyes...eyes of a rabid dog...no a wild dog that might attack is hardly too tame. He could be a problem."
Soon the gang came to a room, across them was a prison cell with bars. "Hello, I am Tsubaki Kasugano. Would you mind coming closer to me?" The seven scooted a little further as the kimono girl looked at them closely like a hawk.
Motoharu figured out what was wrong with her. "Your eyes are..." Tsubaki giggled in response. "Oh, you noticed, you're quite observant. Yes, I had bad eyesight since I was very young. Hence I have lived in this prison since I was little..."
Touma wasn't buying that despite the tough yet happy mood the girl was putting on. "Don't you get lonely sometimes?" Tsubaki giggled. "Well, I never was asked that before, but, yes, I do sometimes."
Orsola had a question of her own. "So, don't you go out and do anything like hang out with friends?"
Tsubaki put her hand to her mouth. "No, due to my eyesight, I wouldn't be able to see anything well." She then took out a scroll. "Also, you might have summarized it, but, I'm also a Diary Holder as well." The seven people gasped in realization. "My Diary is known as the Clairvoyance Diary. It cannot only see "far" but also anticipate the future as the 6th."
This put the seven people on edge minus Accelerator.
"Hehehehehe..." A giggle was heard from Tsubaki. "How funny even though I only spoke in harmless words."
"Not funny..." Touma grumbled in annoyance.
Motoharu smirked. "I have to admit her giggle is cute."
"Anyway, I'll say this, I don't intend to become God of this world. Listening to the voice of a God is the job of a witch." Tsubaki continued to giggle. "For me to want to become a God is a ludicrously funny thought."
Accelerator wasn't buying into this innocent for some reason. "Something stinks here."
Tsubaki opened her eyes after giggling and looked in Touma's direction. "Touma Kamijou... it's a pleasure to meet such a handsome young man like you." Hearing that comment made Touma tense up awkwardly as his face faintly blushed. "To think a scrawny boy like you was able to give 9th her first kiss."
Touma tensed up even more. "How the hell do you know that?"
Tsubaki giggled. "I read it the newspaper, that two servants of mine read it to me. My eyesight isn't that poor, but, I do like to get a lot of details from newspapers. That includes the speech that you threw at 9th too." She smiled playfully at the high school boy. "I wonder if you truly met those words, despite the high school students sold out first."
"That's Kami for you..." Motoharu spoke getting Sixth's attention as the others too. "Regardless those other classmates of Amano sold him out, there was no need for bloodshed. Although, I was a little pissed that Amano's classmates did such a thing. However, killing them while Minene's bombs were in motion sensor mode would be meaningless."
Orsola had to agree. "Yeah, I know those other students did it because they were scared and yes it was no excuse. However, killing them would be wrong too. As you heard the saying "Two wrongs don't make a right"."
Ai and Orin were eavesdropping from outside the room, both were speechless. Kurusu didn't say a word to the teenager's words that left their mouths. Yuno was looking at the two as her hair covered her eyes, though, she was listening to what the two teenagers said.
Tsubaki didn't reply for a second until a giggle was heard from her mouth. "I see...well, I wonder if those principles you have will still be in you if something drastic happens." Her words were murmured so the others couldn't hear. "Anyway, back to business. 9th is currently in the underground prison, I wish to hand over you to peacefully."
Kurusu thought this was too easy. "Is there a catch or something?"
Tsubaki had a somewhat concerned look on her face this time. "Yes, as if now, my time is come..." She showed the writing on the scroll that read. "Tonight Tsusbaki Kasugano was killed"
"A Dead End..." Motoharu read the scroll.
Accelerator was getting suspicious. "What does this have to do with us?" He asked rudely.
Despite the demanding tone, Tsubaki's concerned yet sad look didn't leave her face and her eyes were closed too. "As you know A Dead End is an unescapable death. If this continues, I'll be dead by tonight." Her eyes opened and looked at Yukiteru. "But, someone like First was able to change his fate and able to meet some unusual people." She then looked at the others. "I will gladly hand over 9th in return, I would like Yukiteru Amano and his friends to protect me."
That request was quite unexpected. Yuno was against this request. "Why the hell would you ask that?" She felt a hand on her shoulder. "Easy, Yuno, there's no need to get worked up."
Before Yuno could argue, she noticed Touma looking at her with an assuring look on his face. "Tsuchimikado is right, we'll be here to protect Yukiteru too. You can trust us." Orsola nodded her head in agreement. Surprisingly, Yuno seemingly calmed down, though, she wasn't sure why.
Accelerator just scoffed. "Great, I get to play babysitting..." He thought annoyingly.
Kurusu considered this. "Letting 9th escape will be a pain in the ass and having 6th killed could make things complicated. Either way, we have to be on our toes."
Yukiteru felt so conflicted and pressured by the situation, though, after hearing Touma and Motoharu's confident words, he decided to agree. "Tsubaki, my friends, and I will stay here as long as you can keep your word." Tsubaki nodded her head in response without saying a word.
The gang reluctantly agreed to look after Tsubaki.
Ai and Orin were walking back to the prison cell room taking in what Yukiteru's friends said.
"Killing them while Minene's bombs were in motion sensor mode would be meaningless."
"It would be wrong too. As you heard the saying "Two wrongs don't make a right"."
Ai slightly gritted her teeth. "Such do-goodie two-shoe nonsense."
Orin thought otherwise. "Perhaps there is some hope for this world. At least, I hope so."
Motoharu was outside looking around the area, though, he was close by Kurusu and Yuno. He had been thinking about what Tsubaki mentioned about her death. "If Minene is here, then, is she worried about being killed by her as she said? That could be a logical conclusion."
He turned his head slightly looking in Tsubaki's direction. "Still, she couldn't been the one to abduct 9th and I doubt her staff could either considering her Escape Diary. Though, 9th's injured eye might've still given her problems." One thing that came to the high school student spy's head. "Is it possible that someone is working with sixth, another Diary User?" He felt his phone vibrate and held up his phone. "Yuno, Kurusu, I have a call, I'll be right back."
"Make it quick," Kurusu said.
At the mall.
Kanzaki and Index were done with their breakfast and started to shop for some clothes. "These kind of shorts should be good for you." Index held dark blue jeans both had leggings.
"Yeah..." The priestess took one of them. Index went to find some new clothes while her old friend looked at her. "Index, it's been so long since we hung out together. That was when I protected you before your memory had to be erased." Her eyes widened with tense as she felt something or someone watching them, turning her head outside the shop but nobody was around except for other customers who were walking and coming inside the place. "Strange, what was that presence?"
Vector was wearing a hoodie blending in with the crowd. "So, she was able to sense my presence and her magic power is strong too. That of a Saint and her friend, the walking church."
At the police station, Misaka was hanging out with Saten and Uiharu. The railgun brought three cups of herbal tea on a tray. "Here's the tea."
Uiharu was on the phone talking to Motoharu, looking quite worried. "Uiharu...?" Misaka began to ask.
"Shush..." Saten hushed the railgun quietly but politely. "Uiharu discovered something about the Omekata Cult, rather than Tsubaki's parent's car crash accident."
B
Orsola was standing on the grass looking at the sky. "I admit the sky is pretty especially with a sunset in view."
Accelerator was sleeping on the floor to pass the time.
Touma was sitting next to the cell across from Yukiteru. "To think that Sixth wants us as her protectors." Touma thought as he glanced at the kimono girl. She noticed him staring at her and winked at him in a flirty way. Touma let out a small gulp as he felt a certain deja vu coming his way.
Ai and Orin brought blankets folded on top of each other. "Here you m'lady."
"Enjoy your night."
Yukiteru had a question. "Tsubaki, what is your story being in charge of this Cult?" Tsubaki looked utterly surprised at the question but a small smile took shape on her face. "Well, I'll tell you a little that. Though I can say this, my Future Diary has limitations. It's not omnipotent." The first diary holder glanced in Yuno's direction, who was glancing back at him while holding her diary in her right hand. "Kamijou, could you give us some space for a minute?" She requested. The high school boy was puzzled but stood up and went to the other side of the room.
"Yukiteru, that girl that you're with is no good. If you don't watch yourself you could meet your end," Sixth advised.
Yukiteru looked at the kimono girl "Is that what your Diary says?" Tsubaki shook her head. "My woman's intuition." Despite the answer, the other boy thought she might have a point after what he saw in the darkroom in Yuno's house.
Yuno was staring at her Diary reading an entry that read. "17:50, Yukki is talking with 6th. Yukki doesn't know what to think about me anymore. That annoying girl I want Yukki to be happy"
The second holder looked at the 6th holder with tense eyes. "What kind of crap is that little bitch telling my man?" She felt a hand on her shoulder which belonged to Yuno, who was looking at her with a concerned look. "Yuno, what is wrong, you look very upset?"
Yuno snapped out of her state. "I'm...I'm fine..." She turned away coldly. Despite the cold shoulder treatment, Orsola still felt worried about the young teenage girl.
In a secret underground prison, someone presses a button on a remote, and in Tsubaki's cell, her blankets ignite in flames. "Ah!" The 6th holder shrieked in terror.
"Fire!" Touma shouted.
Funatsu ran inside. "Get some water right away!" He demanded.
Orsola ran inside. "Let me handle this!" She took out her lotus wand. "I call upon the raindrops of heavens." She held up her wand which glowed a blue light. A rain-like cloud was summoned in the ceiling. Kurusu couldn't believe what he was seeing. "What the hell is..."
Rain began to pour down in the area putting out the flames. Yukiteru felt relieved but at the same time, he was flabbergasted at what the nun just did. "That was close...but, what did Orsola just do?"
Yuno was speechless for once in her life.
"Wow, good job, Orsola," Touma praised.
Orsola put her hands on her cheeks. "Oh, you're flattering me." She cooed blushing faintly.
Yukiteru smiled for a second until he saw a horde of cult members charging with axes at Funatsu. "Argh!"
Kurusu took out his pistol and fired a warning shot. "Alright, every one of you cult bastards freezes!" He warned in a demanding tone. This seemingly stopped them for a second until they raised their axes above their heads.
Orsola acted quickly raising the lotus wand. "Loctus...by the power I call upon...let our enemies rest for the entire day..." She chanted as her lotus wand released night energy waves at the cult members which blew at them like a light breeze. The cults felt their eyes close slowly as they collapsed.
Yuno wasn't understanding what was going on. "What is that girl doing?" She felt utterly jealous that the nun was able to stop the members.
Yukiteru was amazed. "Hey Orsola, that was amazing. You put those guys in a deep sleep!" Orsola smiled sweetly. "Oh thank you for the praise, I'm honored." Yuno glared at the nun. "That bitch is impressing my love so she can steal him." Tsubaki narrowed her eyes at the nun. "That girl isn't normal. Something about that staff she's wielding is nothing like I ever seen before."
Kurusu had a chat with Motoharu. "Listen the situation has gotten more complicated. I'll go looking for the 9th while you guys keep an eye on the 6th." Kurusu said.
Motoharu nodded his head. "Correct, but, there was call I got from Uiharu, she has something important for me to look into regarding that old man Funatsu." The chief looked at the blonde magician Esper hybrid with a puzzled expression. "What do you mean by that?"
Motoharu turned around. "Let's just say I think there's more to Tsubaki's parent's accident than we thought." He ran off without saying another word.
Yuno approached Yukiteru. "Yuki...are you okay?" She asked.
Yukiteru looked at her with an uneasy stare. "..." Yuno did not like the look he was giving her. "Yuki, why do you keep staring at me like that?"
"I think you know the reason why," Yukiteru replied his face looking fearful. "If I hadn't run like hell, would you put in that collection too?"
Yuno was silent. "Yuno...I don't know if I can trust you after what I saw..." Yukiteru took a few steps back taking an axe and walking toward the door to the cell that Tsubaki was inside. "Stop dreaming..." He ran off toward the cell door leaving a heartbroken Yuno. "Yuki..." She felt a hand on her shoulder again, assuming it was Orsola, but this time it wasn't. Touma was looking at her with a concerned look on his face. "Yuno, what are you two talking about?"
Yuno's eyes were filled with tears as she stared at Touma. "Touma..." The imagine breaker user was not expecting the second diary user in tears. "Yuno...what is wrong with you?" He put his hands on her shoulders. "Look we're friends here, you can tell me." Yuno didn't know but she felt a certain comfort in her heart despite the hurtful words Yukiteru said to her.
Yukiteru managed to cut through the door. "Tsubaki, are you okay?" He asked. Tsubaki smiled tenderly at the boy. "I'm fine, but, it seems your new friend is making a move on second."
Yukiteru glanced in the direction where he left Yuno and stared as he saw Touma comforting Yuno. "..." He was speechless as he saw Yuno's eyes filled with tears not realizing it sooner since he stormed off. "Yuno..." He muttered seemingly guilty but that wasn't the only thing he felt inside. Tsubaki noticed the expression on 1st's face and didn't look happy.
Accelerator saw Touma's action. "The hero is doing it again."
At the same time 18:12 Underground Prison
In a cell was Minene Uyruu, her wrists chained to the wall, wearing only her panties with an eye patch around her left eye. Across the cell was the man who found her sitting in a chair next to a desk holding a container that held the woman's eye. "How is your eye, Mrs. Uyruu?" The terrorist was quiet for a second before she replied. "It's not too bad, it's thanks to your treatment." She opened her good eye. "Damnit, gouging out my eyeball and forcing me to give First's name...what kind of treatment is that?"
The man noticed her eyeing her Diary. "You can forget about escaping...the worshippers stopped moving for now at least."
Minene gave the man a questionable look. "Worshippers, what the devil are you babbling about?"
The man faintly smirked. "Well when everything is said and done, you have no chance of winning. Rocks beat paper. Paper loses to scissors, and scissors lose to rock." His smirk widened even more though Minene couldn't barely see it due to the pitch blackness. "The ability to continuously flee is unmasked immediately, there is no way you can wing against the Clairvoyance."
On top of the ceiling was a night vision camera. Little did they know it was hacked by someone from the police department.
Uiharu was able to see through the camera. "Looks like Minene is trapped in a prison cell. The man may be a Diary User too."
Saten nodded her head. "I'll give Aiho a call and she can contact Kurusu."
Aiho was on the road with the backup with Itsuwa.
Yukiteru tries to contact Kurusu but to no avail. "Kurusu's phone won't connect, where did he go?"
Touma approached the other teenage boy. "He went to search for Minene and as for Tsuchimikado went do something of his own." Yukiteru was puzzled but Kurusu did have backup in case things got out of hand. Plus, he did know that the ones leading the backup were Aiho and Nishijima.
Orsola was by the entrance to the room thinking about what just happened. "Hm...those cult members were walking around like mindless zombies. No, they looked like they were hypnotized. How is that possible, unless..." She let out a small gasp though she did find it hard to believe. "No, does someone know how to use spells? No, that can't be, it must be the work of another Diary User. The big question is, who?"
Tsubaki unrolled her scroll. "The enemy could be planning their attack close by. So, let's investigate first."
Accelerator was bored. "Damn it, I was hoping to let some heads roll." He murmured.
"I already showed you this before. My Diary is a recording of all those I have spoken with." Tsubaki explained as she read her Diary. "Funatsu is in his room pondering what just happened. Janitor-in the storage room with the drum. Nothing unusual. Three worshippers show up, one is talking on the phone with the police department, already. The second is chatting in the dorm lounge. Realizes there is a fire. A third in the middle of a hallway is in the guard room."
"Excuse me, milady..." Tsubaki looked ahead and saw a man approaching two water bottles. The man with dark long-length hair and light green eyes. He was handsome and looked like a wealthy man. He walked past Yuno Gasai and stopped to look at her.
Yukiteru noticed him staring at Yuno.
A smirk took shape on the man's face and gave her a flirtatious smile with a chuckle as his teeth shined brightly. Yuno felt utterly creeped out. "Well, a pleasure to meet such a fine young lady like you." He tossed one of the water bottles to her who caught it.
Yukiteru didn't know why, but he felt the same tightness in his chest. "Damn it...what is...this?" Tsubaki was giving the water bottle. "Thank you, you may resume your duty."
"As you wish, milady." The handsome mysterious man bowed his head and left, but, not before he winked again at Yuno Gasai. The moment he left he had a hidden smile on his face. "So, that's Yuno Gasai, the Second Diary Holder. She's more beautiful in person. This should be fun."
"Who was that guy?" Orsola asked curiously.
"He's a noble from a far region, his name is Yoshino. He specializes in martial arts and gunmanship. You can tell he has an eye for cute girls." Tsubaki replied not looking in the nun's direction. "And it would seem he has taken a liking to Yuno." Deciding the change the subject, she looked back at her Diary.
Motoharu was inside the manor, checking out Funatsu's office which was big and fancy. On the walls were women in their bras and panties. "To think this old geezer has an office like this. He's quite the dirty old man." He came across the desk. In the front were two drawers. "Let's have a look in them."
Tsubaki kept observing her Diary for anything suspicious. "Let's see...so far, it looks good." Yukiteru nodded until something on the scroll caught his eye. "This is..." He pointed down to the right.
Tsubaki looked in the direction where the other Holder was pointing. "The back door has a suspicious person, several members are chasing the intruder." Her eyes widened when she looked at another entry. "Uh oh, another suspicious character is at the front gate."
Yukiteru was alarmed by this information. "There are two enemies...no."
Accelerator stood up as he ran toward the entrance to the room. "Crap sounds like the enemies are finding themselves here." He turned to the others. "Guys, we got company, the cult rejects are walking toward this direction like zombies!"
Touma gritted his teeth. "Damn it, just when the situation can't get any worse." He had other thoughts in his mind. "Motoharu, Kurusu, what are you guys doing?"
Orsola held up her lotus wand. "We'll just have to fight them, but, no killing."
Touma knew what had to be done. "Yukiteru, stay by Yuno while I get Tsubaki!" He ran off without giving Yukiteru to say anything. "Also, I don't know what you two were quarreling about, but, right now, we got bigger things to worry about!"
Yukiteru froze on the spot. "Wait, does he know, no...he says he doesn't know, but...is it safe for me to stay with Yuno?" Then images of Touma comforting Yuno and the nobleman Yoshino flirting with Yuno flashed in his mind. "Damn it, why am I thinking about this?" Regardless, he knew had to make sure Yuno wouldn't do anything hasty. "Yuno, stand by my side and don't try anything unless I or the others say so." Without thinking he took hold of her hand which excited Yuno. "O-Okay..."
Touma went inside and held out his hand as Tsubaki took it. "C'mon, let's go!" Tsubaki saw a friendly smile on the boy's face. "..."
The man holding Minene captive held a belt. "This is a belt...an engine of transformation." He jumped on his chair. "Transform..." Minene was utterly disturbed at what she was witnessing before her eyes. "What the hell...I'm looking at a crazy person."
Touma was holding Tsubaki's hand. "Listen, Yukiteru, Yuno, we're leaving this place together! I promise you that!"
Orsola nodded her head. "Yes, I know things look dire at the moment, but, we'll see this through!"
Accelerator scoffed. "All this friendship speech is making me ill. Though, I would like to roll some heads." Yukiteru felt utterly disturbed upon hearing that. "Why does he remind me of Yuno in a way?"
Tsubaki saw no trouble in that. "I agree, Yukiteru will keep an eye on Yuno while Touma Kamijou watches over me." She said innocently making the high school boy a little uncomfortable.
The man was soon in a costume consisting of a black spandex with a large belt wrapped around his waist. A mask made from white cloth was tied over his head with ropes. A large red eye is painted on the mask to resemble an eyeball. "How is it girl, aren't I cool!"
"So, you're 12th, aren't you?" Minene presumed.
The man looked up. "Ah...I can hear confusion from upstairs."
Minene was surprised to hear this. "Hold on, you can hear from down here?"
"Well, if the 6th is the owner of the Thousand League of Vision. I am the owner of the thousand league hearing."
After that declaration, Minene put two-to-two together. "So you're blind, right?"
"Reckoning!~ Reckoning!~" 12th chanted point throwing slow punches like a heroic person.
"Do you have evidence of their crimes?" Minene inquired.
12th stopped what he was doing and looked in the 9th's direction. "What, do you question my justice? Those people upstairs are no match for my justice! All of them will be destroyed including those new friends of First's!"
A smirk was shown on Minene's face. "Even if that person was a crazy girl and big mouth teenage boy..."
The cult members were getting closer. Accelerator saw them coming. "Damn it, this is a pain in the ass." He stomped his foot on the wooden porch and a row broke apart violently sending the attack cult members flying away.
Tsubaki was stunned by what she just saw. "How did that guy do that?"
Orsola was in disbelief at what she saw. "That wasn't magic, he must be an Esper." She wondered if the cult members were only knocked out.
Yuno saw this was their chance. "Guys, we should leave right now."
Touma thought that was a good idea. "Right, Yuno lead the way, I'll call Motoharu and let him know we're leaving!" Yuno was stunned to be given orders by another teenage boy, but she reluctantly.
Touma turned to look at the other Diary User. "Tsubaki, stand behind me!" The kimono nodded her head in response.
They soon fled out of the room and went on their way to escape. Yukiteru was hoping this would end well without killing. "I pray to god that this will be over soon."
Tsubaki was revealed to be the sixth holder and the masked man that abducted Minene is the 12th Holder. Though, what is Motoharu searching for in Funatsu's office? Who is the nobleman Yoshino and Vector, who are allied with the orphanage? Only time will tell, but, the main question is, will Yukiteru and his friends manage to escape and will Yukiteru trust Yuno again, find out next time.
