Chapter 6: Rea Amano

Four Days Ago

Three days since the Omekata incident and Funatsu's arrest.

Minene was in the doctor's office. She was sitting at a table and thinking about the incident. "To think 6th's parents were murdered by one of her cult members. Nobody suspected a thing. Not sure how the truth was uncovered but whoever did must've been a badass or something."

The doctor was checking her left eye. "Damn, whoever yanked it out was a pro." He commented seemingly impressed and disbelieving at the same time.

"Are you going to refer him to patients?" Minene asked with a snark.

The doctor walked over to his counter. "I know that tone. Other than that, here you go." He handed over a small blue case. The terrorist woman opened the case and saw the eye with the same color as her good eye. She picked it up and placed it in her left eye socket. "By the way, I saw you in the newspaper. Never though, a young lady like was into young teenage boys."

Minene glared viciously but didn't look at the old doctor's direction. "That still pisses me off." She thought. "I was hoping to get my hands on that brat, but, I guess I'll have to wait a little longer." She then turned to a nearby window and saw three little children. "By the way, since when did you start babysitting?"

The old doctor turned his head. "Oh those kids, a sad story actually, their victims of the Omekata massacre. A few of them had parents who were members of the Cult. Child Fair wants me to evaluate them for foster care."

Minene seemingly gave those children a slight sympathetic look. "Mommy...Daddy..." A voice in her head echoed. "Damn it...not now."

"Something wrong?" The old doctor asked curiously.

"Nothing...nothing old man..." Minene replied not looking at the old man. "6th is living with Touma and his friends from what Kurusu told me. Speaking of, I wonder what else that old fart wants."

3:55 5/12 PM on the street.

Yuno was on her way toward Yukiteru's house.

Touma was walking down the street. "Talk about insane since the last seven days." He whispered. "First a terrorist bomb woman, a cult with murderous tendencies, a young kimono girl with evil intentions to become a God. This is insane, but, I'm glad things worked out for Tsubaki." He then soon came across Yuno. "Oh, hi Yuno."

The pink-haired teenage girl looked at the high school boy. "Touma...what are you doing out here?" She asked.

"Oh, I'm just taking a walk. We need a little break after all." Touma replied rubbing his hair. "So, how are you doing?"

Yuno looked at him with a blank expression before she replied. "Just paying a visit to Yukki. He's not home yet, but he'll be back." She smiled sweetly. "My Diary says that he's coming here with his mom."

"Wow, your Diary knows how to keep up tabs," Touma commented though he was partly creeped out.

Yuno had a sudden question pop in her head. "Touma, why did you comfort me that yesterday?" Touma tilts his head in confusion. "You saw me crying, despite that you don't know why I was and yet you comforted me, what reason do you have without knowing why?"

Touma crossed his arms with a calm expression on his face with his eyes closed. "I don't think I need a reason not to comfort you." Yuno wasn't expecting that kind of answer. "Whether I did know why you were sad or not, I couldn't just let you cry." That left Yuno speechless, she'd never heard of an answer like that before. "..." Touma smiled at her tenderly. "Either way, I'm glad that I was able to help a friend." Yuno didn't respond instead she just stared at the look the boy was giving her.

"Touma..." Index was behind the teenage boy looking pissed off as a disturbing aura was emitting from her body. She was holding two soda cans too. "Are you flirting with Yuno?" Touma felt a drop of sweat on his forehead as he slowly turned his head. "No, she and I were just talking that's all!" The walking church wasn't able to hear him due to her ticked-off behavior and bared her teeth.

Chomp

"Rotten luck!"

Yuno just stared at the comical scene before her. "This is...unusual." She thought with a deadpan look. "So, where are you and Index going off?"

"We're meeting going to have a little lunch, do you want to come?" Index asked.

Yuno was astonished to be offered something like that. "No thanks, I have plans already, maybe some other time." Index shrugged. "Okay..." She and Touma went on their way.

Yuno just stared as the two teenagers left. "Those two seem close." She then looked at Touma and his words echoed in her head. "I don't think I need a reason not to comfort you. Whether I did know why you were sad or not, I couldn't let you cry. Either way, I'm glad that I was able to help a friend."

She faintly smiled for a second and continued on her way to Yukiteru's house.

Yukiteru was riding to the airport while thinking about the recent event.

Yukiteru's POV

"After the incident with Omeketa Cult. Tsubaki surrendered and joined our side to help stop the madness. Kurusu was unsure about it but was surprised to hear Funatsu was responsible for killing Tsubaki's parents. Accelerator used his Blood Flow Manipulation to improve her eyesight. Though it hadn't been done before, with a little concentration, her eyesight was put to normal. Right now, I'm doing fine, my friends are amazing. They're so brave and strong. I hope I can be like them. Today, I'm going to meet my mother at the airport."

At the Sakurami airport.

Yukiteru was sitting in the waiting area. He was looking at his phone. "Man, if I knew she was going to take this long, I would've come a little later." He mumbled.

"Son of mine!" A woman with dark brown hair and glasses ran at the teenage boy.

At Mother's House

Ai and Orin were chatting with Tarou inside the living room. "So, Tsubaki has surrendered and joined First in this game, am I right?" Tarou asked.

Orin was chowing on a rice ball. "Yes...munch...munch...that Kamijou boy and his friends are unusual. Those speeches were unique. Yukiteru did have some guts despite his timid behavior."

Ai had to agree. "Yes, first is a weakling, but, he seems to gain some courage with his friends. However, his friend with the white hair did something that was out of this world. Not only did that boy kill 12th and his squad, but, he also killed some of the male cult members."

Tarou rubbed his hair. "Geez, things have gotten complicated. Either way, what is our next move now?"

"We wait..." Ai answered. "By the way, where is Vector?"

"He's doing a task or something in the city," Tarou replied looking at the city.

In Sakurami City, the Strip Club

A group of young adults were gathered around the strip dance area.

"Ladies and gentlemen...mostly gentlemen...the lady that you all been waiting for is the sexy woman that is as beautiful and wild as the Amazon ladies. Selena the Dark Lady from the Wild."

A tall woman resembling an amazon with purple hair in a ponytail. She was wearing a micro bikini. Her chest was so big that her bikini top pressed tightly against her breasts. "Hello, boys..." She teased in a flirty matter. She held onto a pole and spun around it wrapping her leg around the pole as she leaned back lustfully bending her body.

Yoshino and Vector arrived.

Vector was wearing black jeans with a dark blue t-shirt and leather jacket.

Yoshino was wearing black dress pants and a blue button-down shirt. He gave the woman a smirk and gestured his head giving her a message.

Selena nodded her head in approval. Vector and Yoshino went to the back of the room.

"Looks like things are about to get interesting." Selena thought with a devious look on her face.

B

At the Amano Household

Yukiteru and his mother arrived back home. "Son, did you get a girlfriend?"

"No...but...I've made some new friends." Yukiteru replied didn't look at his mother.

Rea was intrigued and happy to hear such news. "Well, making friends, I hope I get to meet them." She then noticed something on the sliding door on the other side. "Ah, look at that." She pointed out.

Yukiteru panicked but that wasn't nearly the reason so he looked at his cell phone's entry and concluded. "Not good..." He quickly ran inside. "Sorry, that window was my doing!" He ran upstairs. "I can't believe it at the time mom comes home!"

His instincts were right, he entered his bedroom and saw Yuno cleaning it like a housewife. "Yuno, what are you doing?"

Yuno looked at him innocently. "Oh, welcome home my dear." Yukiteru just stared at her in disbelief. "Hey, answer my question, what are you doing?"

Yuno's innocent stare didn't leave her face. "Well, I want to make a good impression on your mother so I have to work hard."

Rea went inside the kitchen and saw a pot boiling on the stove. "Huh, cooking..." She went toward the stairs. "Hey, there is a pot on the stove!?"

Yukiteru felt tense as he heard footsteps coming up the stairs. "Crap, she's coming if she sees Yuno." His mother drew close to her son's bedroom and opened the door only to see the boy leaning against his closet. Yuno was nowhere in sight.

"What are you doing, Yuki?" She asked with a puzzled look.

"Just stretching my arms..." Yukiteru fibbed keeping his hands on the doors.

"Ah, so cleaning and cooking...this is quite the surprise," Rea commented looking around the room.

Yukiteru chuckled nervously. "Crap, Yuno must've used her Diary to find out that my mom was coming home."

Yuno was eager to meet her crush's mother after seeing her character. "Wow, she's like a total angel. I got to meet her." She began to push the door alarming Yukiteru. "Let me out..."

Rea overheard the faint voice just as Yukiteru closed the door to the closet. "Hey, what was...that a girl's voice I just heard."

"Uh...just the house settling." Her son fibbed which seemed to have fooled his mother.

"Let me out of here..." Yuno struggled to get out of the closet.

"Seriously, do you lift weights in your spare time," Yukiteru muttered annoyingly.

"Son of mine...care to tell me why you're holding down the door like that?" Rea was getting more suspicious.

"Huh, I'm just leaning on it," Yukiteru replied nervously.

This time his mother was fooled and approached behind him closely placing her hands on his shoulders with a playful look. "Did you think I was born yesterday? Oh son of mine, did you secretly bring a girlfriend home?"

Yuno was excited to hear that looking at her Diary's entry. "That's my cue, time to enter and say "hi mom"." She started to use more force which alarmed Yukiteru even more.

"Yukki..."

"C'mon on son, this is pointless! Open the door!"

Yukiteru saw only one option. "Wahhhhhh!" He yelped as he wrapped his arms around his mother's body and danced her out of his bedroom. "She's out of bounce!" He quickly closed his door just as she tried to re-enter.

"Did you just do that? You are so in trouble!"

"Man, mother isn't too happy," The boy then noticed Yuno was looking at some nude magazines. He felt a surge of embarrassment flows through his body. "Why are you looking at those?" He snatched the book away only it was snatched from his mother who entered the room and looked displeased. "I see that you've been reading something that young teens would read."

Knock knock

"I wonder who could that be?" Rea went downstairs and opened the door to see four teenagers. Tsuchimikado, Kanzaki, Itsuwa, Saten, Accelerator, Last Order, and Uiharu were there. "Oh, is Yukiteru home, ma'am?"

Rea had a pretty good idea who the teenagers were. "Oh, I heard that Yuki has some friends, I didn't expect any company."

"Tsuchimikado, Accelerator, Last Order, Kanzaki, Itsuwa, Saten, Uiharu, why are you guys here?" Yukiteru asked who just arrived down the stairs.

"Sorry, we were just in the neighborhood and thought we would drop by to see how you were doing." Tsuchimikado wasn't telling the entire truth.

Yukiteru felt awkward that his new friends arrived on the spot, however, this could help put his mind at ease. "Well, since you're here, let me introduce you to my mother, Rea Amano."

"Your mother!" Tsuchimikado, Kanzaki, Last Order, and Itsuwa exclaimed in surprise.

"Wow, I thought she was your older sister instead!" Saten said with an equally surprised look.

"She looks like she's barely over 20 years old," Uiharu added.

Rea just smiled. "Oh, that's sweet of you two."

Yuno looked a little disapproved. Yukiteru noticed her reaction. "Easy Yuno, they're friends of yours too, so, perhaps we should use this time to get to know our friends a little better, don't you think?"

"If you say so," Yuno replied with a blank expression.

M

At the strip club, Yoshino, Vector, and Selena talked in the office. Yoshino and Vector were sitting in a chair. Selena was sitting across from the two behind a desk.

"Yoshino, did you get to witness First and his friends?" Selena asked.

A small smirk was shown on the noble teenage adult man's face. "Yes, I admit that first can stand on his two feet. Though, he seems to hesitate whenever things get out of control. Honestly, he's not much of a threat. A timid human boy."

Vector chuckled mockingly. "Yeah, but, the guy seems to have some balls though he lacks confidence. I don't think that little twerp is going to be a threat to us and the professor."

Selena did agree on some parts. "Yes, but, it seems first might be getting some spunk from the Academy City bastards. If they prove to be more of a nuisance than they are, then we might have to take extreme measures."

Vector then hatched a suggestion. "How about we keep a close eye on them I mean once things are about to get interesting. We can entertain ourselves with some fun."

"Yeah, we might have to do. Plus, when we see a chance to make things interesting, we'll strike," Yoshino smirked slightly. "That Yuno Gasai will surely be a good addition to my collection of women for my harem."

Selena then had her cell phone ring. "Looks like my client is almost ready."

Vector smirked amusingly but mockingly. "Client, you hooking up again." The black-haired girl walked away before she turned her head. "You might say that, plus, it'll help create my minions."

"Gee, at this rate, you'll have an army." A female voice said from outside the door entered a woman with long-length dark blue hair with a purple dress. High heel shoes and a scientist coat over her dress. She had red lipstick makeup on her lips.

Sakurami Middle School Scientist Teacher(Formerly)

"Vivian, I see that you made it."

"Yes, my job was postponed by that wench terrorist 9th." The woman replied with a foul look on her face which lasted only for a few seconds before an amusing smile took shape. "Though, that Kamijou and his friends put on quite the heroic performance."

"What will you do that?" Yoshino inquired.

Vivian giggled in response before she replied. "I'm being transferred to another middle school soon, but, it shouldn't be too long."

B

Itsuwa helped prepare more meals. She glanced at the other meals that were prepared by Yuno. "I have to admit her cooking looks delicious."

Kanzaki was sitting on the living room couch with Index. The two were playing a combat video game. "I'm winning!"

"Yeah, but, I won't go down so easily!"

Tsuchimikado was sitting on a hair relaxing. "I have to admit, the house is fancy and bigger than Touma's dorm."

Touma looked offended. "Hey, that's because it's a dorm, jerk!"

Saten and Uiharu were making herbal tea together. "The tea will be done.

"Yeah."

Last Order was checking out a picture on the wall that had Yukiteru with his parents. "Ooh, a picture of Yuki and his parents "Points out Misaka Misaka at the picture on the wall"."

Accelerator was just walking around the house taking a tour. "This house is big, but, not as big as Aiho's apartment."

Yuno, Yukiteru, and Rea Amano were at the table.

"My, such an adorable girlfriend you have," Rea cooed seeing the bashful expression on the girl's face.

"Thank you, my name is...is...Yuno Gasai." Yuno introduced.

Yukiteru decided to change the awkwardness he was feeling. "Saten, where is Misaka and Aiho?"

The non-esper user turned to look at the middle school boy. "Oh, they're out shopping. Orsola and Tsubaki are assisting them."

Yukiteru was surprised to hear Tsubaki was getting some air despite her poor eyesight. But, he was relieved to know she was with the others and being taken care of.

Rea was intrigued. "My little boy has made some interesting friends not to mention female ones, Yuno might have rivals." Yukiteri let out a small gasp feeling a sense of dread as he glanced at a disapproved Yuno.

Saten and Uiharu were flustered at the comment. "Oh no, it's not like that, we're just friends with Yuki!"

"That's right, just friends, besides, we're not ready for a boyfriend."

"Anyway, Yuno, what are you making to eat?" Yukiteru asked getting his stalker to walk from her seat and to the stove.

"This is miso soup." She took a bowl and scooped some of the soup in it. She then brought it to Rea. "Honored mother, will you please taste this the soup I have made?"

Itsuwa caught a whiff of the soup. "Hm, that smells delicious."

Rea spooned some of her soup and after a few seconds of chewing then a delighted look was shown on her face. "Wow, it's delicious!"

Yukiteru wasn't expecting that. "No way, she's always been picky when it comes to taste and..."

Last Order was making her way toward the kitchen. "Wow, miso soup, can I have some, please?"

Rea was caught off guard by the innocent. "Oh, you're so cute!" She hugged the girl like a small cute puppy. "Yuno, could you pour some soup for this little one?"

Yuno nodded her head with a blank expression and poured some soup into a bowl. "Munch...munch..." Last Order chowed and a big smile took shape on her face. "Wow, so delicious Yuno! "Glees Misaka Misaka tasting the soup"."

Rea giggled playfully. "Quite the choice of words she has." She then looked at Yuno. "Yuno, your cooking is remarkable like you've been practicing a lot. With this, it would be perfect at a wedding."

"Wha!?" Yuikiteru's jaw dropped.

The others overheard this and had gawking expressions except for Accelerator.

"It seems so long since my little boy was in diapers and eating cereal," Rea commented with a smile.

"Mom..." Yukiteru groaned feeling embarrassed.

"Now, my little boy is all grown up and has friends. He's even got a girlfriend. I wonder, what dress would you like to?" Rea continued as she took a sip of herbal tea that was just handed to her by Saten.

"Your tea is ready too, Yuno," Uiharu said.

Tsuchimikado was leaning against the wall watching Ms. Amano continue. "Son of mine..." A faint blush was shown on her face getting her son to look in her direction. "Birds and bees time."

Saten, Uiharu, and Itsuwa froze when they heard those words with their faces beet red. "Birds..."

"And..."

"Bees..."

Accelerator felt annoyed. "She has dirty thoughts."

Tsuchimikado didn't seem to mind much and a smirk was shown on his face. "Well, she's not too shy."

Last Order was just puzzled as she blinked a few times. "Birds and bees, what is that?"

Luckily, the food that Itsuwa was preparing was finished before things got even more awkward. "Everyone, the food is ready."

"Just in time too," Kanzaki sighed relieved the subject was changed.

M

At a random apartment

Ai returned to her boyfriend. "Marco, I'm home."

The man called Marco with long light brown hair approached her and embraced her. "My love, how was the mission?"

"It was unique. Tsubaki lives, but, she'll be our enemy next time we meet." Ai replied. "Though, I managed to get to see the Kamijou kid and 1st too."

Marco smirked. "I see, what was 1st like?"

"He seemed a bit spineless, but, he did show up with his friends to rescue 2nd. I also have something else to tell about what I learned about Tsubaki's past."

At the Sakurami Police Department.

Kurusu was in his office talking to Natsuko.

"Chief, you wanted to see me."

"Yeah, I got a call from two parents about their son going missing. His name is Lucas. He went missing about two days ago and according to his suppose whereabouts. His parents discovered his journal and read that he was going to a cathedral that's outside the city."

Natsuko smirked. "I see. Any leads on the person that Lucas was meeting?"

Kurusu held up a piece of paper. "According to the boy's latest page, the girl is a teenager, not much description she has a ponytail. Her name is Penname known as Goblin Girl."

"Goblin Girl...what does that even mean?" Natsuko questioned with an odd stare.

Kurusu shrugged his shoulders. "Who knows, anyway, I would like you to investigate the cathedral, and take a few officers with you. If you see anything contact back, but, only as a last resort."

"Why not ask Nishjima and those kids for help?" Natsuko asked.

"Nishjima is on the portal and the kids are off for the day." Kurusu took out a cigarette and then lit it with his lighter. "Other than that, I have an interview with someone."

Natsuko had a curious look on her face. "Who is it?"

Kurusu inhaled the tip of the cigarette and blew out smoke before putting it in the ashtray. "A teenage boy named Akise Aru. I'll be meeting him sometime tomorrow."

B

Yuno and Rea were in the kitchen chatting. "So, you intend the same middle school."

"Yeah, I started to break the ice with him. Honestly, I didn't realize he didn't remember our first conversation. But, he remembered eventually." Yuno replied with a cute smile. "It does make me happy to know that he has a sweet mother."

"Oh, you're too kind." Rea giggled flattered.

Kanzaki, Itsuwa, and Saten were washing the dishes.

Saten smiled. "Ms. Amano is such a nice lady. She reminds me of Misaka's mother, her chest size is nothing like hers."

Itsuwa had a question. "Excuse me, Saten, was your name right?" The other girl looked at her and nodded. "Okay, what is Misaka's connection with Touma?"

Saten grinned. "Oh, Kamijou saved Misaka from doing something dangerous. One time she offered to make cookies as a token of gratitude." She giggled teasingly. "I think they looked cute together when they danced at our annual bonfire at Academy City."

Kanzaki and Itsuwa froze at those words while holding the dishes they were cleaning. "Touma...danced...with..."

"A...girl..."

"Yeah, it lasted for a minute or two, but, it was interrupted by Shirai," Saten concluded with a giggle. "Anyway, back to the dishes."

Uiharu and Accelerator were taking out the trash. "Damn, why do we have to take out the trash when we're guests here."

"Technically, we did just come over be ourselves." Uiharu corrected. "So, the least we can do is repay for the good meal."

Yukiteru was in the living room with Tsuchimikado. Yukiteru was sitting on the couch while Tsuchimikado was sitting on a chair.

"So, is there a reason why you guys came here to my house?" Yukiteru asked in a whispering tone.

Tsuchimikado smirked. "C'mon, we decided to come here to check out your house. Sure, inviting ourselves was rude, but, we just wanted to see your place." He looked around the living room. "I admit, it's bigger than I'd expected that you got to it yourself."

Yukiteru sighed a little. "Yeah, but, it does get lonely for a while considering my mother is a game designer."

Last Order came running through the living room. "Hey guys." She chimed innocently. "What'd you guys chatting about stuff, Misaka Misaka asks curiously."

Yukiteru looked at the mini Misaka and noticed she was holding a photo album in her arms. "Excuse me, what are you holding in your arms?"

Last Order looked down at her arms. "Oh, this is an album your mother told me to get for her." With that, she ran off back to the kitchen leaving a confused Yukiteru.

Tsuchimikado had a question. "Do you think we'll be able to meet your father?" Yukiteru was silent the moment he heard the question. "First off, your mother is cool and sweet. Honestly, perhaps I should get her to try on the fallen maid outfits and one for Yuno too. anyway, we could meet your father and-" He then noticed the sulking expression on Yukiteru's face. "Uh...is something wrong?"

Yukiteru didn't respond and Tsuchimikado's perverted nature quickly was replaced with concern. "Hey, earth to Yuki, what's wrong?"

"My father doesn't come here that much." Yukiteru frowned not looking at the high school magician esper hybrid. "He and my...mother split."

Tsuchimikado was surprised to hear that and quickly got the message. "I see...I'm sorry."

Yukiteru chuckled awkwardly. "It's fine..." Secretly, he was surprised that he did reveal that to someone else, not even Yuno doesn't know. "By the way, what do you and Touma do for a living?"

Tsuchimikado's smirk returned. "I'm glad you asked, besides hanging out in school. When we had free time, we would discuss about bunny outfits for girls." Yukiteru's face went beet red upon hearing this. "That's right, I love white bunny outfits because it's hotter." His smirk grew wider. "Now that I think about it, perhaps I could give Yuno an outfit that'll bring you crawling to her knees."

"Don't put that image in my head," Yukiteru pleaded comically.

Motoharu wasn't even done. "On top of that, I can share some angel maid outfits for Yuno. I have a few ideas that'll be suitable for her." Yukiteru covered his ears. "I'm not listening to this...I'm not listening to this." He muttered his face flushed.

Last Order sat down at the table with Yuno and Rea, who both were looking through the album photo book. "Aw, look at these, he has such chubby cheeks."

"So bare skin he has," Yuno commented.

Yukiteru overheard this and got a little suspicious. "Excuse me." He walked over to the kitchen and saw what his mom was showing to Yuno and Last Order.

"He's naked, exclaims Misaka Misaka seeing a boy's naked body!" Last Order said with a shy expression. "Nothing compared to when Accelerator saw me, Aiho, and Kukyou naked."

Yukiteru felt so flustered that he snatched the book away in his arms. "You pervert, I'm naked in these pictures!"

"C'mon, I didn't make you go natural until you were ten." Rea defended weakly.

Kanzaki, Itsuwa, and Saten giggled a little but luckily Yukiteru didn't hear them.

"She's quite the mother," Kanzaki commented.

Itsuwa couldn't help but feel a little jealous. "I never experienced something like this since I never knew my parents."

Saten had to admit she missed her mother too. "Mother..."

Yuno felt a hand tug on her shirt's sleeve. "Hey, Yuno. Your cooking was great. I hope I get to eat some more, Misaka Misaka chimes with a giggle." The second diary holder just gave a blank expression, but, the girl's smile somehow made her somewhat smile a little.

A short time later.

Kanzaki, Ituswa, Tsuchimikado, Last Order, Accelerator, Saten, and Uiharu left the house.

Yukiteru and Yuno went to the living room to have a chat with Rea.

"Mom, didn't you say that you came back here for a reason?" Yukiteru asked.

Rea's smile was replaced with a frown. "Well, apparently, on the news there was a report about the Omekata massacre. Among them was a co-worker of mine." She looked away. "On top of that, to think that Tsubaki's parent's death was discovered to a murder, not an accident. The poor girl must've been a wreck to learn that one of her members was her parent's killer."

Yukiteru was relieved to hear that Tsubaki was safe and sound with the others though something didn't add up. "Is that the reason you came here?"

"The parent asked me to look after their child. A boy that's 4 or 5 years old." Rea replied with a sad smile. "It'll be only for a few days." She then looked at the clock hanging on the wall. "Look at the time, it's getting late. Yuno, would you like to stay here for the night." Yuno was delighted upon hearing that.

Yukiteru was too thrilled about it. "Wait, is that necessary?"

Rea just smiled. "It's fine, I'll gather a futon bed for Yuno. In the meantime, Yuno feel free to take a shower." Yuno smiled.

Natsuko was driving through the city in a police vehicle with three male officers. Two were in the back seat while one was in the passenger seat.

Orsola, Misaka, and Tsubaki were done with shopping for the day. They called a taxi and got a ride home.

"To think, we gathered many clothes on this day," Misaka commented little exhausted.

Orsola giggled. "Yeah, but, we got a lot due to the payment we got for helping with the Omekata Cult."

Tsubaki was looking around happily as her vision wasn't so poor anymore. "I know this is hard to believe but..."

Three days ago

Accelerator performed his blood flow manipulation on Tsubaki's eyes making the blood vessel much wider and improving her eyes. "I think this should be done."

Tsubaki's eyes' vision began to slowly become clear and clear until everything wasn't so blurry. "I can...I can...see..." She felt so happy even more than before.

Tsubaki wiped the tears from her eyes. "After all this time, I can finally see better than before." Orsola and Misaka smiled happily at the 6th Holder's delighted yet happy expression. "I can't thank you all for giving me this chance to see."

Misaka giggled. "I'm glad that we were able to help out." She never thought that Accelerator's Blood Flow Manipulation would be able to fix someone's eyesight. "Guess it was a miracle."

Rea Amano set up a futon bed in Yukiteru's bedroom, much to her son's chagrin. Later, she went to talk to Yuno, who was taking a shower. "You can use my shampoo and soap if you need to. Feel free to take a bath too."

"Thank you, ma'am." Yuno began to wash her hair.

Rea turned to leave until she looked back. "One more thing, take care of my boy because I haven't been a good mother." With that, she left. "Also, you made some interesting friends."

Later that night.

The two were asleep in their beds.

Yuno sat up and turned her head. "Hey...are you going to put the moves on me or not?"

"I'm going with the "or not"!" Yukiteru comcially sat up looking in his stalker's direction.

Yuno just gave the boy a deadpan look. "Loosen up, your mother doesn't mind if we mess around."

Yukiteru felt utterly annoyed. "Look, you're sweet and all but, it's not like I feel the same way." Yuno took out her cell phone and showed her Diary's entry. "Look here, on July 28th, you'll fall in love with me." A faint red hue was shown on her cheeks as she turned her head away almost bashful. "We will join together as a single soul." Yukiteru's face became flushed and was speechless.

"Look if it helps consider it a challenge." Yuno looked back at him.

"Going to sleep now..." Yukiteru lay down under the blankets. "Damn, she and I together...I can't imagine it." An image of Touma comforting Yuno came to his mind. "Crap, why am I thinking about that?" Yoshino flirting with Yuno came to his mind next. "What is wrong with me...?"

Yuno's giggle echoed in his mind including her smile. "Well, I admit Yuno is so cute and...Motoharu said she would look cuter in an angel maid...no, I can't think about that crap."

Yuno was resting on her side facing away with a psychotic look on her face. "Her mother is a sweet woman. I thought I would have to get a little more serious." Images of Motoharu and the others came to her mind, their kindness and friendship was getting to her head. "Why do I have to think about them? No doubt, they were going..." An image of Touma popped into her mind. "Touma...his kindness...damn, why am I thinking about..." She quickly dismissed the thoughts and went to sleep.

Oura Cathedral

Natsuko and the three deputies arrived at the cathedral that was outside Sakurami City. The old church-like building was surrounded by woods. The condition of the old church looked so poor, windows were broken, and the walls were painted on like someone used spray paint.

The entranceway looked had a lot of dirt, leaves, and small broken glass bottles. In front was a statue painted with curse words on it There were no bugs or birds making a sound, making the area almost eerie.

Natsuko didn't even flinch a bit. "Looks like the place is more old than it looks." She walked toward the entrance door taking out a flashlight.

The officers entered the cathedral and the inside was just as messy as the outside. Dirt, more broken glass, and parts of the building were coming apart. They came to the alter aisle where old benches were and on the other side was a piano pipe.

Natsuko looked around cautiously. "Hm, alright, here's the thing, I heard there is a door that leads to the basement." She looked at two officers. "Deputy Jake and Wallace. The both of you will investigate that part, I read the door is just around the corner, go back to the entrance and there is a hallway to the right that'll have the entrance to the basement."

Despite that the two officers were a bit uneasy, they did what they were told. "In the meantime, deputy Taylor, you're with me, we'll investigate around the area for any clues."

Natsuko and the other officer continued their search. The police detective was on the other side of the altar. "Damn, this place has quite the mess. Surprised that they didn't tear this old piece of rumble down."

"Not sure if you should speak that way about old buildings like this." Taylor muttered.

The police detective was too focused to hear the officer's words. Then something caught her eye and lying on the ground was a wallet. "A wallet...what's that doing here?" She picked it up and opened it seeing a picture I.D. of the missing teenage boy. "Looks like we found her missing teenager." She handed over the wallet to the officer.

"Yep, this is our guy or teenager." The officer looked at the photo. "But, the question is, where is the kid?"

Natsuko caught a glimpse of some red liquid on the floor where the wallet was. "Is that blood...?" She crouched down to get a closer look.

Jake and Wallace walked through the hallway and came to a door that had a sign that read "Employees only". "This is investigation, so, we won't get into trouble going down."

"Gee, what was your first clue?"

The two officers opened the door and walked down the stairway. The two had flashlights of their own carefully walking down the steps to make sure they didn't trip or step on something that caused them to fall.

They made it to the bottom and there was a door which they opened and entered.

The basement was entirely big, it was an old library, with shelves that had old books, but, were falling apart. The books were old and dusty. Some were in bad condition with pages that were torn and spines that were bent badly.

There were tables and old computer desks.

"I'm surprised there's an old basement that has something like this." Wallace said.

"No kidding, this kind of thing would put a child on edge." Jake agreed.

Little did they know, something from the corner of the shelf, two yellow glowing eyes was peeking at them. A small growl was faintly heard from the figure.

One of the officers seemingly heard the sound and halted in surprise. "What was that?" He asked looking in the direction he heard the sound.

"What was that?" The other officer asked a little startled but confused.

"I thought heard a faint growl."

"C'mon, this isn't the time for jokes."

Jake took out his resolver preparing to load which startled his partner. "What are you doing, is that necessary?"

"If there's some kind of animal or dangerous homeless person then yes." The officer cautiously walked toward the direction where he heard the sound. Drops of sweat were seen on his forehead as he got closer and closer to the spot where the figure was standing. Once he got there, nothing was there. "Nothing...is here."

Wallace was relieved in some way. "Great, you had me going there for a second." Then a foul odor entered the basement. "Damn it, do you smell that?"

The other officer covered his nose with his hand. "Yeah, smells like something died down here." Jake sniffed the air and saw the smell was coming from on the other side of the basement. "I think the scent is coming from down there."

Wallace had a bad feeling all the sudden. "I get the feeling what is down there, we should get out of here and report to the-." He paused when two figures pounced on him from the shadows with yellow glowing eyes.

"Ahhh!" He screamed.

Jake took out his resolver. "Damn it!" He shouted running to help his co-worker. "What is that?!" He shined his flashlight on the spot where his co-worker was, two goblin-like creatures were attacking him viciously.

"Damn, what are these things?" Wallace inquired trying to fight them off as he punched one in the face throwing it off balance.

Jake took this chance and shot the other goblin creature in the head killing it. Once it was, he helped his partner on his feet. "Just what in the hell is this thing?"

The officer shined his flashlight on the dead creature. "Looks like a goblin."

"C'mon, goblins are nothing but a myth." The other officer chuckled.

"Oh no, what do you think this is, a deformed child?"

"Hey, where's the other one you punched?"

Wallace almost forgot about the other goblin, but, the moment he turned to see where it was knocked out, it was gone. "Damn it, did it flee when we weren't looking?"

A small growl was heard in the shadows followed by more. "Crap..." He cursed under his breath in the direction down the row of shelves.

Two pairs of glowing eyes which was followed by more eyes. About six goblins were seen wielding different weapons like knives, axes, daggers, and crossbows.

"Damn it..." The officers whimpered in unison showing extreme fear on their faces.

The goblins let out a vicious snarl as they charged at the two officers.

AAAHHHHHH!~

Natsuko and the other remaining officer turned their heads to the loud screaming.

Alarmed, the police detective took out her radio. "Officer Jake, come in, what is your and Wallace's situation!"

Static Static

"Come in! Come in!"

"Detective, what is going on?" Taylor inquired in a frightened tone.

Natsuko had an unsure look on her face. "I...don't...but, it appears we might not be alone in this cathedral." She took out her pistol and loaded it. "Officer, keep your guard up."

The officer did so and took out their police bat.

A loud snarl was heard from the direction of the hallway that had the door leading to the basement. "Rrrrr..."

"Rrrrrr!"

"Is that an animal?" Taylor questioned feeling drops of sweat drip from his forehead.

Six glowing yellow eyes were seen at the entrance to the great hall. "What in the hell is..." Natsuko trailed off as she was trying to take in what she was seeing.

Taylor was in disbelief as his jaw dropped. "Are those goblins?" He took a few steps back looking so frightened.

Two goblins with axes charged with a vicious snarl.

Natsuko fired her pistol shooting through the creatures' heads and killing them instantly. "Got two!" She proclaimed with a smirk as she glanced at the officer. "Keep your flashlight shining so I can see!"

"Right, ma'am!"

The other two goblins attacked with daggers and were so fast that one of them managed to slash Natsuko's leg losing her balance and causing her to fall on her back in pain.

"Detective Natsuko!" Taylor panicked.

"Don't worry, just fight them off while I get up!" Natsuko ordered as she did she realized she lost her gun. "Damn it, my gun is gone!"

Another goblin appeared on one of the benches in the aisle holding the pistol and letting out a taunting chuckle then tossed it outside the nearby window.

The other two goblins pounced on Natsuko and pinned her to the floor. "Detective!" Taylor started to swing his bat at the goblins trying to get them off the woman. He managed to knock one off and just before he could get the other goblin away, he felt something impale in the shoulder.

He turned his head to his shoulder and saw a small arrow inside it. "An arrow..." He questioned as he started to feel a little dizzy instantly. "What is this...I'm so...tired..."

"Hey officer, what is wrong!?" Natsuko asked noticing her co-worker's odd behavior.

Suddenly four goblins jumped from the shadows and pounced on the officer beating him to death with wooden clubs that had nails in them as the officer screamed in agony and blood splattered.

Thud Thud Thud

Natsuko heard the loud footsteps and saw a large goblin-like creature that looked strong and muscular. "Rrrr...rrr...rrr..." It grunted like it was speaking in its own language.

The other goblins approached the police detective lady and started to strip her naked. "Hey, let me go you perverts!" She demanded as she struggled to get free taking out her bat and swinging it.

One goblin snatched it away and continued to strip her naked until she was in her panties. The goblins looked at her pervertedly drool dripping from their tongue and mouths.

Natsuko felt fear suddenly taking over her. "No...I can't...die like this...no...Nishijima...Keigo...help me..." Tears began to form in the corner of her eyes. "AAHHHHHHH!" Her screams were echoed throughout the cathedral as birds that were in the trees flew off in fear.

Outside the great hall, was Selena in a goblin-like appearance. Her height looked the same and she still had her female appearance too. She had rows of sharp teeth. Her skin was light green color and she had purple pupils.

"Looks like some nosy humans decided to come here uninvited. Well, it seems we might have to find another hideout." She took out her map and read it despite the screaming from Natsuko. "Well, this abandoned town might do the trick."

7:00 AM Rental apartment

Aiho was the first to wake up due to a phone call on her cell phone. "Hello...Keigo, what's up?" She rubbed her eyes for a minute until her eyes became widened with confusion. "What do you mean Natsuko never returned home?"

7:15 Amano Yukiteru's room

Yukiteru and Yuno woke up to a car pulling by the house. "Here is the place." Ms. Amano's voice was heard.

They went downstairs to the front door seeing Rea with the five-year-old boy. "Yuki, Yuno, good morning. This is the boy I mentioned yesterday." She introduced as she smiled sweetly at the boy. "Now, tell Big Brother and big sister your name."

"My name is Houjou Reisuke." The boy greeted me with a cheeky expression. He then took out puppets on his left and right hand.

"What is Big Brother's name?" He asked while holding a male puppet in his left hand.

"Yukiteru Amano."

"What is big sister's name?" Reisuke asked holding the female puppet in his right hand.

"Yuno Gasai."

After the introduction, they all went inside. "Ms. Amano, I heard you said big brother Yukiteru has friends, right?" Ms. Amano smiled sweetly again. "You bet, they're very nice people. I'm sure you'll get to meet them soon in fact, two will be here in the afternoon. Anyway, put your shoes by the front door before coming further."

"Okay..." Reisuke sat down making kissing sounds while putting the puppet's heads together.

A sadistic look was placed on Resiuket's face. "Infiltration complete!"

Age: 5

7:35 at the Sakurami Police Department

Aiho along with Tsuchimikado, Kanzaki, Tsubaki, Orsola, Touma, and Index was in the conference room with Nishijima. "Where is Keigo?"

"He's getting ready for an important interview later in the afternoon. So, he asked me to give you some intel about Natsuko's whereabouts."

Aiho had a suspicious look on her face. "Yeah, Kurusu called a little early and mentioned that Natsuko was on an investigation then never returned."

Touma was taken aback by this. "What was Natsuko's investigation?"

Nishijima held up four sheets of paper. "Well, for starters, there were three missing male teenagers in the last 3 weeks. Just yesterday a family called about their missing son, which counts a fourth male teenager that has gone missing now."

"That's awful, does the chief think someone is kidnapping them?" Orsola questioned.

"No, but we suspected it could've been Minene Uyuru. However, she hasn't been since the middle school attack," Nishijima answered.

Tsuchimikado thought this over finding it a bit odd. "Keigo's Diary can find homocide criminals. From the look of things, it looks like this so-called kidnapping isn't done by anyone that's homicidal."

Index laid her head on the desk. "I'm hungry..."

"Gee, we just had an earlier breakfast, not surprising," Touma remarked bluntly.

Chomp~

"Rotten luck!" The boy yelled as he felt the nun's teeth sinking in his head.

"Anyway, I take it that you want us to go to the place where Natsuko and the other officers were seen, right?" Aiho presumed.

Nishijima nodded his head. "Precisely. I'll have you guys investigate there at noon, for now, take it easy for a while and then get some lunch. Once the time comes." He took out a small sticky note. "Here is the address to the location where Natsuko and the officers were investigating."

"What about the others?" Tsubaki asked.

Aiho decided to answer that. "Itsuwa is doing some shopping again with Accelerator and Last Order. Saten, Misaka, and Uiharu were asked to meet at Amano's house sometime later in the afternoon."

"What for?" Touma asked curiously.

"Ms. Amano mentioned there was a parent that was her co-worker that was part of the Omekata Cult incident and killed..." Aiho paused for a minute. "Sorry, she's looking after the kid until foster care takes in the kid."

Touma and the others were expected for Tsuchimikado.

"Who is the name of the kid?" Kanzaki asked.

"A little boy named Houjou Reisuke about 5 years old." Aiho took out a photo of the kid.

"Oh dear, that's him." Orsola was stunned.

Tsubaki looked at the photo of the child suspiciously. "Hm..." She then looked at Aiho. "Is Misaka and her group doing anything else?"

Nishijima looked at her puzzlingly. "They'll be going to Yukiteru's house later in the afternoon,"

Tsubaki had a serious look on her face. "I would like to talk to them, so, do you guys have their number?"

Rea Amano meets Yuno Gasai and Yukiteru's friends(some of them), and things are going well. Natsuko and the officers get to investigate a missing person case and find themselves at the mercy of goblin creatures and Selena is part of it, who is she?

Now, Reisuke, the 5th Future Diary Holder has arrived at Amano's home, will Misaka and her friends be able to save their friends in time? Also, is Natsuko safe and sound, find out next time.
