Chapter 14: 7th's Wrath Part 1

Those that are wondering where this story is leading. Those that have watched A Certain Magical Index/Scientific Railgun series, you know that Misaka and Touma have a habit of helping those in need whether they're a stranger or non-human. I would imagine they would help those that are strong or not.

Also, if any one that has seen Future Diary, I'm sure you know what happens in the series. In my opinion, the Future Diary users had their own ambition to become God, but, weren't strong enough in other words, they thought their own strength would help them win the battles in a way but lost in the process. Each of them experience despair and pain meaning they had tragic pasts.

My point is, that Touma and his friends will show their own way of helping those even if means putting their life on the line and not to give up on someone if that person is nuts or insane. More importantly, that everyone deserves some happiness and to believe in the future for those new generations. That said, Touma and the others will find a way home in the end.

Late in the evening

Amano's household

Yukiteru was resting in his bedroom recollecting what happened.

Yukiteru's POV

"I was rescued by Touma and the others by some unknown enemies. I didn't get the full details, but, Akise said he would want us to meet at the school later. Plus, Kosaka is a Diary User, but, that doesn't make sense. Yuno Gasai..."

5:30 PM

Yukiteru was dropped off at his house, but before he went inside his house, Akise had one thing to say. "Yuki, you need to be careful around Yuno for your sake."

Yukiteru clenched his hands tightly. "Damn it, I can't believe she tried to drug me only for us both to be captured by unknown enemies. They weren't Diary users that's for sure. However..." He looked at his message box. "Regarding the 8th: Recently some questions have been raised regarding the 8th's Diary"

1: Has the 8th found a way to increase their Diary's Powers in violation of the Rules of the Game?

2: Are the 8th's Diary Sub holders eligible to become God?

3: If a Diary belonging to a sub-holder is destroyed, what happens to them?

Once answers to these questions are known, you will receive a mail summoning you to the realm of Cause and effect for explanation.

7:00 AM

At the apartment

Yuno was asleep in a random bed. "Uhh...where am I?" She sat up realizing she wasn't in her household. "Wait, where am I?"

"I see that you woke up..." She looked to see Itsuwa, Kuroko, Orsola, and Kanzaki entering the bedroom and they didn't look happy.

Yuno wasn't expecting this. "You guys, where am I, and how is Yukki?"

"Never mind that..." Kuroko approached the stalker girl cautiously. "We need to have a chat with you so unless you want things to go smoothly I suggest you listen to what we have to say."

11:00 Am

Umesato Middle School classroom, some students were having lunch.

Touma, Yukiteru, Misaka, Tsuchimikado, Akise, Hinata, Accelerator, Mao, and Kosaka each of them were in their seat.

Things were awkward right now especially what happened the previous day.

"Yuno isn't in class today," Touma spoke out.

"We noticed that idiot," Accelerator remarked coldly. "Honestly, I couldn't care less about that stupid bitch."

Kosaka couldn't agree more. "Yeah, we're better off without her."

Mao had her arms crossed. "Yeah, she could've gotten us killed by those freaks."

"Still...she'll be defenseless with our help," Touma said a little concerned.

"Why do you have to feel pity for her?" Kosaka questioned coldly.

Misaka couldn't help but feel a little jealous even though she was pissed off with Yuno too.

Yukiteru was silent.

Yukiteru got a call from Akise, informing them about what Yuno was about to do. "Are you serious?"

"Yes, I'm afraid so. I know this is a lot to take in, but, it's clear that Yuno is more unstable than I thought." Akise replied. "I know I'm dropping the bombshell soon, but, I would advise cautious."

Yukiteru looked at his cell phone. "Damn it, after what I said during the incident with Kurusu. I don't know if..."

"Are you going to keep making that dumb look?" Accelerator was looking at him with an annoyed look on his face. "Geez, Yuno is already a psycho and here you are looking like someone shattered your heart."

"Give him a break," Hinata said looking upset about the white-haired teenage boy's attitude.

"What, does little wussy think twiddling his thumbs going to get him out of his pathetic state?" Accelerator questioned coldly.

"It doesn't matter as long as Yuki is safe with us," Mao argued.

"Enough, we can talk more about this later," Akise suggested. "Later we shall meet in the gymnasium for an important meeting."

Vector was outside the classroom. "Those stupid humans are sure taking their thinking. However, it won't matter, we'll give them a run for their money." He then took out a cell phone and looked at his message box that read. "I would like to have a chat with you after school. Sincerely Kamada"

14:41 PM Umesato Middle School Gymnasium

Yukiteru and his friends met to have their meeting. "Before we go into any details about Kosaka's Diary, Touma and his friends have something they wish to share with us."

Touma and his friends minus Accelerator were tense but they kept their word. They began to explain their entire story about where they were from.

After a half hour, Yukiteru, Hinata, Mao, and Kosaka were stunned.

Akise didn't say a word despite how he was just as shocked as the others.

Kosak began to burst out laughing. "C'mon, this is a BS joke, right?"

Misaka gave the teenage boy a serious look. "Look idiot, we're not joking, we're from a world where high technology is. High advanced technology that is."

"Yes, we have magicians too," Touma added.

"Magic...espers...this sounds like something from an anime show or something," Kosaka joked.

Bonk

"That's enough and for the record, as crazy as this sounds, I think we have to believe them," Hinata said.

Mao had a question of her own. "Does that mean you know who the enemies that kidnapped Yukiteru and Yuno are?"

Tsuchmikado decided to answer the girl's question. "From what we know so far, the enemies have magic power and are in disguise using Transformation magic. Meaning they're disguised as humans to throw us off their trail."

Akise put his finger to his chin. "Hm...what we do know is that Selena is one of the monsters. Plus she was a stripper in the Sakurami strip club and she escaped somehow using a portal or something."

Accelerator scoffed. "Great, that means that goblin girl is alive and we can assume the lizardman freak is out there somewhere. Who has a crush on Yuno from what the hero boy has described."

"We know that someone killed Reisuke known as 5th," Misaka informed getting the others to look at her. "From what I saw, Reisuke got his magic power from his killer. That said, the enemy had a woman's voice so we can assume that she's one of the monsters that was in those stasis pods."

Hinata put her finger to her chin with a concerned look. "If that's the case, what do they hope to accomplish?"

That was a good question. "We don't know that, but, we do know that they're not part of the Survival Game, but, it seems likely that they'll attack us again sooner or later."

Akise had to agree on that. "Yes, we can assume that lizardman that came after Yuno is probably going to get her." Hearing that detail made Yukiteru flinch but he didn't realize it. "Also, I got some details about Tsubaki's former allies. I believe there was a woman named Ai that was with her during the investigation about her cult."

Tsuchimikado thought this over. "I believe she was the dark-purpled hair woman. A hot woman at that too."

"Pervert..." Misaka and Accelerator thought in unison.

"What about Yuno?" Touma asked. "What do you plan to do with her Akise?"

Akise sighed deeply. "For now, we'll let her be for now, but, if she does something out of line, we have permission to take her into custody."

Touma stood up abruptly. "Don't you think that's a bit hasty?" Akise didn't flinch despite the other teenage boy's tone. "Even if you put in a jail cell, she'll just escape using her Diary or something. Not only that, if she escaped and the police try to stop her, someone will get hurt or worse."

"I have to agree with Kami on this," Tsuchimikado had his arms crossed. "I know we're angry about what Yuno tried to do to Yuki, but, we can't put her in jail otherwise she would intend to break and as Kamijou said, if the police were to stop her someone would get hurt or killed."

"Look I understand what you're saying but we can't let Yuno near Yuki for a while," Akise said looking a bit serious. "On top of that, I still need to work on some things."

"What about this girl Ai, did Tsubaki, Uiharu, or Saten figure anything out?" Hinata asked.

"Not yet, but, they're still looking into Ai's background," Akise replied.

"Kikyou is staying at the apartment with Last Order and Misaki," Accelerator informed. "Also, Orsola and Itsuwa were remain there if any Diary Holders decide to show their mugs."

"Anyway, is there anything else we need to discuss?" Kosaka asked yawning.

"I do..." Yukiteru said scratching his cheek.

The first Diary user began to explain about what he learned from DEUS.

"DEUS said that?" Hinata questioned surprised hearing the details.

Akise was intrigued by this information. "I see, appericate Diary holders to exact."

"Does this mean these Diary users would die if their phones were damaged?" Misaka asked.

Yukiteru decided to demonstrate that. "Kosaka, hand me over your Diary." The other teenager did so. "Here..." Touma then broke it in half starting the boy. "AH! I'm going to die!" Kosaka panicked rolling over like a toddler.

"Geez, what a baby." Accelerator grumbled.

To their surprise, nothing happened.

"It also reads here that on July 5 is when the 8th will make a move," Yukiteru informed.

Accelerator grinned. "So, they'll be coming to us."

"Glad someone is eager," Hinata commented sarcastically.

"Either way, they were able to trace us," Tsuchimikado added with a calm expression. "Impressive."

"How do we fight the enemies?" Akise questioned.

Mao had a suggestion. "I heard Kosaka has a big house." Akise thought that was a good idea. "Yeah, that will work."

"Eh!?" Kosaka exclaimed.

"What about those monsters?" Touma asked.

Tsuchimikado had that figured out. "So far we know that they're clearly in disguise as humans. One has been confirmed as Selena, who was the stripper. As for the others, we haven't identified them yet. So, if you guys notice anything suspicious don't do anything to tip them report to Nishijima, Kanzaki, Touma, or myself as quickly as you can."

Akise thought that was a fair deal. "Sounds good to me."

"Should Yuno join us later?" Touma asked.

Hearing that made Yukiteru flinch. "W-what, after what she tried to do, I'm not sure if that's wise."

Akise had to agree on that a little. "For now, we'll just hope she'll back off for a while."

"Not surprised..." Accelerator mocked getting everyone's attention. "Scared of a little pink-haired brat."

Hinata glared at the white-haired boy. "What the hell is that supposed to mean?"

"Is obvious that girl has gotten you practically spooked," Accelerator smirked. "Especially little wussy over there." He was pointed at Yukiteru.

Akise didn't like the attitude that Accelerator was displaying. "What exactly are you implying?"

Accelerator scoffed annoyingly. "C'mon detective dumbass, you know the wussy isn't going fight back even without Yuno's help."

"Accelerator, what are you getting at?" Touma asked a little ticked off.

"Do I have to spell it out? Yuktieru Amano is nothing but a coward too much of a coward that he needs his friends to hold his hand!" Accelerator stated harshly

Those words hit Yukiteru hard in the stomach. "My point is that the little wussy would rather have his friends and his stalker do all the fighting because he's too chicken to fight back! As far I can say, I don't know why he decided to become a Future Diary Holder when he doesn't want to fight back!"

Yukiteru lowered his head looking hurt but he was too speechless to get a word out.

Before things could get ugly, Tsuchimikado cleared his throat. "Akise, take Hinata, Kosaka, and Mao with you, we'll catch up later. Touma and I would like to have a private chat with Yuki."

Akise was still pissed off with Accelerator's attitude but he reluctantly agreed and left with the other three teenagers.

"Yuki, I'm afraid that Accelerator has a bit of a point," Tsuchimikado had a serious look on his face. "I know that you're freaked out by Yuno's actions. Honestly, I don't know why she did what she did, perhaps she just spooked when she found out about the message that Akise sent you."

"Then again, it doesn't matter," Touma said. "I admit what she tried to do wasn't cool. Don't forget, she was victimized by those monsters and you were held captive by the goblin girl Selena."

"Even so, I thought Yuno was a good person. I trusted her and yet..."

"Cut it out!" Accelerator barked impatiently. "It doesn't matter right now, but, it's clear that you don't want to use her ass to protect yours so instead we're here fighting for you because you're too chicken to fight back!"

"No...I just..." Yukuiteru stuttered trying to find the words to use.

"You just what...then again, I think it's obvious that DEUS made a mistake making you a Diary User!" Accelerator lectured. "If you want to hide from your enemies then just go home to your mommy and leave the fight to those that actually want to fight back!"

Yukiteru felt more hurt than ever, however, deep down the timid teenage boy knew there was truth to his words.

"That's enough!" Touma shouted as he pulled back the other teenage boy and approached Yuki. "Listen Yuki you can't keep running away from your troubles. You know as well as I do Yuno will try to see you again. I'm sure you have a lot to say to her but if you keep avoiding her you won't get rid of the fear that is holding you back."

Tsuchmikado leaned against the wall with a calm expression. "Either way, you must learn to face your problems like a man. No matter what you think might happen."

Yukiteru looked down at the floor. "I suppose you're right."

Accelerator began to walk out the door but not before staring at Yukiteru with a cold stare. "But, if you want to keep hiding like a rat and using your friends as your shield to protect your wussy ass then whatever as far I can say, you're nothing but a whiny little bitch. Perhaps you were never meant to have such power of a Future Diary." He exited the sport storage shed and left.

At Mother's house.

Kamada was outside at the front yard checking out her plants and Vector entered the area. "Kamada..." He walked over to her. "You wanted to see me."

Kamada turned around and faced the teenage boy. "Yes, I would like you to infiltrate 1st's group by pretending to be one of them." Vector smirked. "I'm listening."

5:00 PM Somewhere in the street.

Yuno was walking on the sidewalk looking down and worried.

Yuno had her hands tied together and was sitting on the bed.

"Yuno, what were you thinking?" Kaznaki demanded looking pissed off.

"What do you mean?" Yuno asked a little startled by the priestess' tone.

"You know what we mean, how could you take try Yukiteru hostage?" Itsuwa looked very upset gritting her teeth.

Yuno was speechless after hearing that. "I was just-"

"It doesn't matter what your reason is, you could've gotten Yuki killed!" Kuroko scolded harshly. "Not to mention you almost got sissy killed too!"

Itsuwa pointed her finger at the girl. "That's right, not to mention we risked our butts to save you and Yuki!"

Yuno glared at the girls. "What about you guys, you didn't tell me that you guys are from-"

"Don't spin this around!" Kanzaki shouted angrily startling Yuno. "Look, you nearly got us killed because of your actions! You and Yuki get kidnapped by our enemies because you had to be stupid and do things on your terms!"

"She's right..." Orsola stepped up giving the second diary user a serious look. "Yuno, we're in this game together. Sure, we aren't Diary Users, but, it's clear that we're here to help save this world. That said, whether we're Diary Users or not, we're still in this war together so we must fight and rely on each other!"

"Orsola is right! You know that you can't protect Yuki on your own! You must learn to trust us too!" Itsuwa agreed. "Besides that, you don't know what other Diary Users are capable of. Not to mention our enemies are killing some of the Diary Users like Reisuke. No doubt that Lizardman that tried to have his way with you will return and try to finish the job!"

"But, right now, I'm sure Yuki's trust in you has been damaged!" Kuroko reminded. "However, if you want to make it up to him, you must convince him that you're willing to trust and rely on others too! If not, then Yuki might not trust you again, is that what you want?"

Yuno stopped walking and clenched her hands tightly. "Damn it...why can't I ignore what their advice..." She recalled what Touma did for her. "Touma...saved me..."

"Yuno!" The pink-haired teenage girl looked ahead and saw Touma running toward her. "Touma...?"

At the Sakurami Police Station.

In the office, Saten, Uiharu, Kikyou, Misaki, and Tsubaki were checking something out on one of the computers.

"So, this Ai has last name is Mikami," Miksaki said looking at the profile picture.

"Yes, according to the details, she was dropped off at the Sakurami Tower as a child," Uiharu read the profile. "She was later taken to the Mother's orphanage, which is owned by Kamada Useshita. Plus, she attended high school as a teenager."

Tsubaki was surprised to speak.

"Is there anyone else that's at this orphanage?" Saten asked.

Uiharu put her finger to her chin. "I would imagine so, but, it'll take me some time to check out the details."

"Speaking of, what about Yuno?" Kikyou asked.

Tsubaki had that answer. "Well, she's going to have to stay away from Yuki for a while considering the stupid choice she made."

"Does this Ai have any contact with anyone?" Saten asked again.

Uiharu was scrolling and came across another photo of her with a boy. "Look at this guy, he looks handsome." He read the details. "His name is Marco Ikusaba, also an orphan like Ai." She then searched Marco's profile. "What is this?" She said looking at a report that read. "Three high school students were injured. One dies by Marco. The death was written off as self-defense and according to Marco, his girlfriend was..." She stopped reading almost feeling sick.

Saten looked at the report. "Wow, sounds like Ai must've gotten in a jam, such a horrific thing."

Tsubaki was more surprised than ever. "So, Ai was raped by three high school boys only for Marco to beat them up but killed one in self-defense."

Yuno is approached by Touma. "Touma, what do you want?"

Touma sighed annoyingly having his arms crossed. "Geez, not even a "hello"." He remarked. "Look, we need to talk, though, I'm sure the others back at the apartment gave you a lecture, am I right?"

Yuno clenched her hands tightly. "I just...I wanted to protect Yuki that's all." She defended weakly.

"Yuno!" Touma yelled as he looked at her dead seriously. "Do you honestly keep making excuses?" He pointed at her with a pissed-off look. "What do you mean?" Yuno asked a little startled by his outburst.

"Then again it doesn't matter what your reason is, you could've gotten us killed including Yuki!" Touma replied. "Do you have any idea what would happen if Yuki died!? His death would be on your head because you tried to take him prisoner and for what...to keep him safe from other Diary Users!?" He began to walk toward the stalker slowly. "You and I both know that what you did was reckless and stupid...because of your selfish actions Yuki's trust in you might've been shattered!"

Yuno had a disbelief look feeling those words hit her directly in the stomach. "Yuki..." The images of her and Yuki spending time together flashed before her eyes even the wedding planner. Even the moment they first talked. "We can get married someday..."

"We'll have to wait until we're older, okay?"

She snapped out of her flashback as she felt a pair of hands on her shoulders and saw Touma looking directly at her in the eyes. "Yuno, listen to me, you need to understand that you're not in this game alone! Yuki and everyone else is involved in this even Nishijima himself."

Hearing the inspector's name made Yuno nervous especially what she read from Akise's message. "We're in this survival game together...and you know it! But, you can't survive it alone!" He felt a little silly about lecturing about someone who can't survive alone considering his pride was sometimes to stay behind and fight the enemies alone. "My point is that without our help the chances of you and Yuki surviving this game are slim! Not to mention the Lizardman that tried to have his way with you is probably going to return and if you died I'm sure Yuki would be a wreck if that happened!"

Yuno went speechless upon hearing those last words. "Right now, you need to apologize to Yuki for what you did. Don't try to make any excuses, you need to realize what you did was stupid and reckless. Although, I think an apology isn't going to be enough, but, it's a start to help you and Yuki work things out between you both!" Without realizing he took hold of Yuno's left hand both hands. "Yuno, you must promise that you'll learn to work with us and that you'll learn to trust Yuki's judgment because if you can't...Yuki might not trust you ever again...and I hope it doesn't come to that." Yuno felt tears in her eyes. "Yuki...I...sob...sob...sob..." She started to sob with tears pouring down her cheeks.

Without thinking Touma gave her a hug and Yuno went along with it not realizing what she was doing too and cried in the other boy's chest.

At the shopping mall.

Index, Orsola, Kanzaki, Kuroko, and Itsuwa were shopping for some food and new clothes, they were in a food store.

Kanzaki was holding a shopping list. "Let's see, eggs...bacon...milk...and vegetables."

"C'mon, do we have to have rabbit food?" Index pouted.

"Index, you can't just eat junk food, it's important to eat protein and vegetables." Itsuwa lectured.

Orsola had to agree. "Yes, plus, it'll surely give you some improvement." Index tilts her head in confusion. "What does that mean?"

Before the other nun could reply to that, Itsuwa intervened. "Uhh...we'll talk about that some other time."

"I hope Yuki and Yuno are okay." She added.

"After what happened, things are already awkward between them," Kuroko admitted. "What I can't believe is that those monsters can use magic and have the ability to transform into humans."

Kanzaki had her word to say. "Yes, Transformation magic is something I haven't seen in years not as a child. I used to hear it was banned from using considering how easy it was for enemies to infiltrate and spy on our allies without someone batting an eye."

Index put her hand on top of her head scratching it in thought. "Yeah, it seems our enemies have a lot more power than we thought. Plus, we don't know what human form they have taken in this world. They could be anyone in disguise."

"So far we did identify Selena, who was a former stripper," Orsola reminded. "I think we should try to search more for more details."

"Uiharu and Saten will be taking off that and with Tsubaki's Diary, she should be able to get intel on anyone else that is working under 8th's wing. Plus any actions will be recorded as long as they're alive and nearby too." Kuroko added. "Though, keeping the enemies close might be a problem."

"What about Yuki's mother, should we tell her about what happened including who we are?" Itsuwa asked.

Kuroko had that answer already. "First off, our identities shall not be revealed at least for now, and as for telling her about Yuno, I don't think it would be wise to tell her."

Kanzaki had to agree. "Agreed, it would be too cruel to tell her the truth about Yuno, she already has full trust in her plus she thinks Yuki and Yuno are a cute couple."

"Touma's mother must live in a dream world," Kuroko muttered. "Anyway, we should focus on getting the food and clothes back." She had a sneaky smile. "As for sissy, I got an outfit for you." Almost drooling.

The other girls noticed her eye behavior and sweat dropped. "What is her deal?" Itsuwa questioned.

"Who knows..." Index shrugged.

Orsola had a pretty good idea, but, didn't say a word.

At the Sakurami Police Station.

Saten and Uiharu were leaving for the night, however, Tsubaki and Aiho decided to meet up with Akise to have an important meeting in the conference room, and Nishijima and Aiho decided to attend the meeting too.

Akise gave the details of what he learned from Yukiteru. "So, that's how the 8th's Diary works," Nishijiima said looking a bit surprised.

Tsubaki looked down with a concerned look. "I figured 8th's Diary would be something to worry about but to increase other Diary Users."

Aiho had a troubled look. "Yes, plus, any one of them could 8th while some would be apprentice Diary holders." One detail about Diaries would be truthful. "One thing is that we can assume that like Future Diary Holders, they would disappear once their phone is destroyed or damaged."

Akise nodded his head. "True, anyway, did you guys find anything?" Aiho brought some papers to the young teenage detective. "Yes, Uiharu, Saten, and Tsubaki gathered some information about two certain people that might have connections to 8th and are probably allies of hers too." Two pictures of a man with a hair style that resembled an ice cream cone and a dark purple-haired woman were on the sheets of paper.

Akise observed the pictures and smiled at the sixth holder. "Hm...nice job, Tsubaki."

The kimono girl turned her head away faintly blushing. "Oh...I appreciate the praise..."

Knock Knock

"Come in," Aiho spoke.

An office employee entered the room. "Pardon my intrusion, but, someone named Ray wants to speak to you, Aru." Akise wasn't expecting this but decided to go meet this individual but before he left he turned to look at the others. "You guys, this meeting is over, I appreciate the useful information you brought, I'll review it sometime tomorrow. I'll give you a call if anything comes up." The others agreed and left.

Akise went to the office to have a chat with Vector, who calls him Ray. "Sorry for the sudden approach, but, I have some information I would like to share. Plus, I would like to work alongside the police." Akise narrowed his eyes suspiciously which Vector noticed.

"I presume that you don't trust, well, I guess you don't care if your little crush dies." Vector attempted to leave. "Wait..." Hearing that stopped Vector.

Akise could see the other teenage boy wasn't all talk and was confident about his usefulness. "Very well...what information do you have to share." Vector smirked.

7:30 AM

Later at Amano's Household

Yukiteru was having dinner with his mother.

Things were quiet too quiet at least for Yukiteru. Not only that, he noticed there was an extra plate. "An extra plate, I wonder if it's..." He felt a sense of dread built in his stomach and looked in his mother's direction. "Mom, did Yuno stop by or something?"

"Well, actually, yes. Yuno made some mashed potatoes, but, then something came up and she left." Ms. Amano replied looking a bit disappointed. "By the way, she looked a little upset, did something happen between you two?"

Yukiteru was on edge hearing that question. "Well...we just..."

Ms. Amano sighed. "It's fine, I don't think I need to ask, but whatever happened, I think you should talk things out." Hearing that surprised her son. "I mean, I can sense you two had a quarrel or something. Although, it's not my place to ask what kind it was, but, if you think you should talk things out with Yuno, then don't waste it."

Yukiteru thought that should refer to her as well considering her and his dad's divorce. However, he didn't want to make things complicated. "I guess...you're right. I'll think about it." He recalled what Touma, Accelerator, and Tsuchimikado said to him.

"You must learn to face your problems like a man. No matter what you think might happen."

"Listen Yuki you can't keep running away from your troubles. You know as well as I do Yuno will try to see you again. I'm sure you have a lot to say to her but if you keep avoiding her you won't get rid of the fear that is holding you back.

"But, if you want to keep hiding like a rat and using your friends as your shield to protect your wussy ass then perhaps you weren't meant to become a Diary User. Perhaps you becoming one was a big mistake."

Yukiteru clenched his right hand as his friends' advice was getting through to him. "Damn it...I...I know I can't avoid Yuno... it's just like Akise said, she would try to find me again. Still, she was almost raped by a Lizardman...I thought she was a good person but..." He felt his cell phone ring. He saw it was Akise. "Oh Aru, what's up?"

Three days later

At Sakurami Police Station.

Nishijima had an emergency meeting with Aiho, Saten, Akise, Uiharu, Touma, Hinata, Mao, Kosaka, Last Order, Accelerator, Kuroko, Yukiteru, and Misaka.

"Listen up, we have a reason to believe that 8th will make their move. So, we'll need some backup. Last Order, you will be part of the keeping an eye on the outside using surveillance cameras that are placed around the location where we will surely meet 8th and any followers of theirs."

"Yay! I get to join in a fight! Exclaims Misaka Misaka excitedly!" Last Order cheered.

"I get to join the fight with sissy!" Kuroko hugged her roommate's arm.

Bonk

"Cut it out!" Misaka had her fist raised with steam emitting from it leaving a pigtailed girl unconscious leaving some to sweat drop.

"Great another Mao," Hinata muttered.

"Ahem..." Nishijima cleared his throat breaking the awkward moment. "Anyway, Touma, Accelerator, Itsuwa, Misaka, you guys will be on the lookout at the back of the house." The three teenagers nodded.

"Kuroko, you, Saten, Last Order, Uiharu, and Aiho were outside on the road out of sight but will be nearby to find any incoming enemies like those monsters you mentioned." Nishijima continued. "Lastly, Akise, Kosaka, Hinata, and Mao will be guarding Yukiteru."

"What about Yuno?" Touma asked. "As well as the others?"

"Misaki, Kikyou, Kanzaki, Index, Tsubaki, and Orsola will be going to the town to gather information on the leads we found about the orphanage that is the stronghold of 8th's base," Nishijima replied. "As for Yuno, we'll be sure to keep an eye out for them in case she shows up."

"We have our assignments, let's get started!" Akise stated. "Also, I would introduce to a new member to our team."

The door to the conference room opened. "Hello guys." There was Ray.

"You're Ray from school!" Mao pointed out.

"Why are you here?" Hinata asked.

Nishijima was driving Kosaka, Akise, Mao, and Hinata.

"First, we take Yukiteru to Kosaka's house then we surround it with police acting as bodyguards."

Mao saw a flaw in that plan. "Won't the enemies know the amount of police that are stationed and know how to defeat them?"

"True, but..."

"That's Kosaka's house!?" Hinata exclaimed in awe-struck.

"Just some old house," Kosaka bluntly said.

In another car was Tsuchimikado driving and the others riding along were Misaka, Touma, Itsuwa, Ray, and Accelerator. Each of them had their own reaction including the large amount of space within the area.

"To think that cocky bastard has a family that's stinking' rich," Accelerator remarked.

Tsuchimikado was impressed. "I got to admit the walls around the area should give us some clear view of the enemies that try to charge head on."

"It's even bigger the stadium's inside," Misaka commented.

Touma had to agree. "I would imagine we need this space to give us an advantage."

Itsuwa had the answer to that. "Correct, Kanzaki is planning to be on the wall, plus thanks to her reflexes and speed. She'll be able to move on the wall without a problem."

Akise was explaining more about his plan when he noticed a tower. "That portable antenna tower will jam the phones, but, it'll give us some time too."

"Speaking of, what about Ray?" Yukiteru asked.

"He'll be guarding the left side of the house," Akise answered.

A short time later, they arrived on the balcony of the mansion.

Akise continued to explain the plan. "The connection between the sub-holders and 8th is the key to this plan. The tower can be turned on by a switch. We won't turn it on until they've already begun to attack." He then looked at Yuki. "You will be the one who controls the switch, Yukiteru."

"Yeah as long as he doesn't get cold feet," Accelerator mocked.

Akise glared at the white-haired teenage boy, who noticed his stare. "You got a problem with me?"

Before things could get any worse, Hinata got between the two. "You two knock it off! This isn't the time to start a meaningless argument!"

"He's right, until we complete this mission we have to work together," Touma agreed.

Yukiteru was somewhat offended by Accelerator's words, but, he couldn't deny that he does feel nervous.

"Anyway, Touma, Accelerator, Misaka, and Itsuwa, you'll be in charge of guarding the back as lookouts. If anyone breaks, Yuki will give you a call to help him." Akise explained once more.

The four teenagers went to the back and a few minutes later, Yukiteru felt his cellphone chime. "Four of eight's followers have arrived and are invading the house"

"Akise, four are on the loose-" His cell phone changed again and again. "Wait..." The timid teenage boy felt a sense of dread. "No...this can't...be..."

"What is it?" Hinata took the cell phone to her hands and her eyes widened. "Oh no...it reads that about ten mysysterious cloaked followers are nearby are heading toward Touma's group in the back while the other three are heading the front!"

Akise gritted his teeth. "Seems 8th has more followers than we thought!

Vector was sneaking into the power room. "Stupid humans..." He took out a dagger.

The power went out. "Hey, what happened to the power?" Hinata questioned in surprise.

"Yukki!" Yuno called out.

Yukiteru was stunned. "Wait, did she do this...why, the plan...is..."

"You must learn to face your problems like a man. No matter what you think might happen."

Yukiteru regained his composure and looked over the rail. "Yuno over here!" Akise was taken aback by his crush calling to the stalker girl.

"Yuki called to me!" Yuno cooed happily.

"Damn it, did she cut the power?" Kosaka muttered.

"No time to think about that," Akise said. "Yuno, come up here, we have something to care of."

"Are you sure that's wise?" Mao asked.

"No, but, right now, we need all the help we can get. That said, we can't let her screw this up." Akise replied. "Kosaka, Tsuchimikado, and I will go to the antenna tower to activate manually. As for the rest, you guys guard Yuki and Yuno."

"If that doesn't work, we can have Last Order use her powers to hack into the phones," Hinata reminded.

Yuno arrived there and Mao tied her hands. This stunned the stalker girl. "Yuki, why am I being tied up?"

Tsuchimikado made a call while following Akise and Kosaka. "Kamijou, change of plans! The power was cut so we have to activate the tower manually."

"Wait, why happened to the power?" Touma asked.

"Not sure, but, we can assume someone cut the power," Tsuchimikado replied. "Not sure, but, I think one person could do it. However, we got fifteen enemies on your way, handle them off as you can, and meet up with Yukiteru and the others inside!"

Touma hung up his cell phone. "Damn it..."

"What happened?" Misaka asked.

"Not sure, but according to Tsuchimikado, the power was cut somehow," Touma replied.

Accelerator gritted his teeth. "How the hell did that happen?"

"Not sure, but, right now our enemies are coming, three are pursuing Yuki's group inside," Touma informed. "I suggest you guys stand here while I-"

"Guys ahead!" Itsuwa pointed to ten strangers wearing cloaked hoods charging at them with swords, axes, and wooden clubs.

Accelerator smirked insanely. "Well, some action at last."

Touma pulled back his right arm. "I suppose we'll deal with them first."

Misaka raised her left hand with electricity. "Time for a shock."

Vector smirked from the corner. "Foolish humans." He went off toward the tower as his appearance began to change drastically. The top of his head had two curved horns. He had bat-like wings which were black as the night. A single sharp tooth hung from upper left side of his mouth. His skin color became black and his hands had sharp nails including. At his lower back had a long tail. "Those humans won't even recognize me."

Yukiteru and his group looked at the entrance and saw Nishijima and an officer knocked out. "Nishijima!" Yukiteru yelled.

"Here they are..." A purpled-haired woman with sunglasses pointed out. "Mar, he's Yukiteru Amano, the boy I met with Tsubaki."

Marco wasn't impressed. "Shame, I was hoping for a stronger foe." He looked around. "It seems that Kamijou punk isn't around either, shame, I was hoping to cross paths with that heroic brat." He shrugged his shoulders. "No matter, at least I get-"

"Wait...did you think it would just end there if you picked a fight with the police?" Nishjima threw his fist.

Marco didn't seem worried. "Cross Counter!" He evaded the punch and delivered his punch right in the inspector's face.

The inspector was knocked out cold. "Damn, that cross counter felt good."

"Such a god-down fighting junkie..." Ai commented.

Yukiteru noticed the woman. "Wait, she looks familiar."

Marco saw Yukiteru's reaction. "Scared are you, 1st?" He held his cell phone. "I'll give you a heads up, my Diary predicts the next move in a fight. The ability to inform me when to cross counter my way to absolute victory. In the words, Constant Winning No Loss fight Diary."

Sakurami Local Children's Institute Mothers' Home.

"Yep, Marco and Ai have finished breaking in," Taoru informed. "As for Vector, his plan is motion too."

"Good, I leave the rest up to you," Kamada replied.

Yukiteru's group continued to flee.

"Hey, Ai, we're going to lose them!"

"No problem...My Reverse Flirting Diary that predicts what I'll do in the future." Ai looked at her phone's entry. "Wow, such a cutie isn't he," Marco grumbled but didn't say a word.

They followed them to the ladder leading to Attic. "Found him!"

Hinata stood her ground. "Go on, I'll stall them!"

"Oh, how proactive...but I.." Ai threw a few knives. "NO INTEREST IN GIRLS!"

Two knives were impaled on Hinata's shoulders and one landed in the back of Mao's back.

One more knife was thrown in Yukiteru's direction. Moving quickly, Yuno used her tied-up hands to knock it away. "She knocked it down?!" Ai thought.

The two managed to make it to the attic closing the hatch.

Yukiteru caught his breath. "Damn it, the plan is going in smoke!" He then looked at Yuno. "Yuno, did you cause the blackout?"

Yuno was dumbfounded for once, but, Yukiteru didn't notice it. "I asked you a question, did you cause the blackout?!"

Yuno was startled by his yelling. "No...I arrived at the exact moment when the power went out and I was surprised as you are."

Yukiteru didn't believe that as he looked at her with a glare. "Like hell, I'm supposed to believe that." Yuno looked at him with a hurtful look. "Listen, I know that you tried to drug me and that you wanted to take me prisoner. The only thing is that we both became prisoners to our new friends' enemies."

"I didn't..." Yuno began to say as Touma and his friends words echoed in her mind.

"Yukiteru needs to learn to trust you again but not by words by your actions!"

"We're in this Survival Game as you and the others are so you must learn to rely on us!"

"If you want to make it up to him, you must convince him that you're willing to trust and rely on others too! If not, then Yuki might not trust you again, is that what you want?"

Touma's image went into her mind. "Touma..."

"I can't make excuses..." Hearing that surprised Yukiteru. "I know I did a stupid thing trying to take you hostage...and I don't expect you to trust me for a while but..." She lowered her head. "I want to try to earn...your trust...again." Tears began to form in her eyes." Yukiteru wasn't expecting this, but, he didn't know if she was still telling the truth about the blackout.

Suddenly there was a loud noise from the bottom of the hatch and it was punched through.

"Don't move from there..." Marco climbed up the door.

"Yukki, cut me loose!" Yuno begged.

Akise and Kosaka arrived at the tower and were inside. "Looks like we're in business."

"That's for sure," Kosaka added with a cocky smile.

Tsuchimikado was guarding the place. "Looks like the area here is good for now."

"Not quite..." A figure came rushing at Tsuchimikado, but before the spy could react, he was punched in the stomach hard and was knocked out.

Kosaka heard the thud. "What was that?"

Akise stopped what he was doing. "Another enemy..."

"Surprise!" Vector came running inside and karate chopped the back of their heads as hard as he could knocking them out cold. "Figures you idiots would try this." He summoned out a sword. "Time for me to stop this." He cut the power box destroying it. "Time to deal with the Academy City bastards." He quickly ran out the tower control room and made his way back to the mansion.

Tsuchimikado pretended to be knocked out and thanks to his Rebirth ability, he was able to recover a little in time. "Damn it..." He got up quietly and went inside the tower and saw the destroyed power box. "Crap, just what we need." He quickly got out his cell phone.

Outside on the road.

Kanzaki felt her cell phone ring. "Kamijou, is that you?" She asked hopefully.

"Sorry, it's me, we got a problem." Tsuchimikado replied.

After explaining the situation, Uiharu got her laptop out. "I got it, Last Order do your thing."

"Yippee!" Last Order cheered sending out a hacking signal able to connect to Ai and Marco's cellphones and cutting the connection.

Aiho looked at the ninja priestess. "Kanzaki, get the wall and be our look out. Stand by before we give you orders!" The other woman nodded her head and exit the vehicle.

Soon Marco and Ai's cellphone connections broke. "What?!"

"The connection is cut!?"

Yukuiteru was relieved to hear that. "Wait, did Akise's plan work..." Before he could get a word out, he saw a message from Tsuchimikado. "Akise and Kosaka were attacked by an unknown enemy, I'm injured a bit, so Last Order used her ability to hack into Ai and Marco's phones to cut their connection."

"Akise, Kosaka are hurt, how did that happen?" Yukiteru thought in question.

"This blows it..." Marco and Ai took out a cigarette and lit them. Both inhaled and blew smoke out of their mouths.

Yukiteru noticed their calm expressions. "I admit, cutting the connection was impressive, however..." Marco and Ai threw their cell phones away and took out new ones. "Let's show them our Future Diaries!"

Yukiteru was stunned with shock and realization.

"Buhahahaha...1st, that look on your face is priceless, we tricked you!" Marco mocked. "You see, the plan you guys had was to cut the connection, but, 8th already saw that."

"Yes, you planned to use the tower to your advantage, but, thanks to our Future Diaries, we were able to enter just like that," Ai added.

Marco took out a comb and changed his hair style to make it look that of a ice-cream cone. "I'm 7th, Marco Ikusaba!"

"I'm 7th as well, Ai Mikami!" Ai introduced.

Yukiteru thought he recognized the girl. "Before we begin, I admit that solving 6th's parent's death case was quite unexpected," Ai said taking off her sunglasses. "I didn't expect Tsubaki's cult members to be responsible."

"Wait, they don't know about Last Order's powers, but, still," Yukiteru thought frightened. "These two are actual Diary Users, we don't know what they might do or what their Diaries can do." He quickly sent a message to Tsuchimikado. "I can only hope he'll be able to send Touma's group to help us."

Yuno saw the situation was more serious than ever. "Yukki, I beg you to untie me, I know I did a stupid thing and almost got us hurt but...I still love you and will continue to protect you. At least, believe that, please."

Yukiteru was still unsure about this but given the situation, he had no choice. "Alright..." He stood up and cut her wrists loose. "Thank you...that's why I love you."

Marco smirked. "I see, a couple you guys are. I suppose this should be interesting." Ai couldn't agree more a little. "Yes."

After rescuing Yuki and Yuno things were still awkward between them. Yukiteru is still unsure how to trust Yuno again despite she was also kidnapped by the other enemies. Eventually, they discover some things about 8th and the followers.

Luring them to Kosaka's house, they come up with a plan to fight them, however, the plan has a hole inside it when Vector, who offered to help(secretly revealing 8th's identity for unknown reasons)double crosses and attacks Akise and Kosaka.

Yukiteru and Yuno are confronted by Marco and Ai, both Future Diary users known as 7th. Yuno manages to convince Yuki to trust her again despite what she tried to do. The fight between the couples is about to begin, but, will Yuki and Yuno survive or die?
