"We are here! The building isn't very big."

The older human led the four heroes and his employee to the communications center. It hadn't been the main communications center, but Weyland Yutani had always built a small station in the area for backup purposes. "Okay, let's try it," Ratchet let Mr. Iron and Eric go in first. The lombax didn't want to admit it, but he did so to know if it couldn't be a trap, but he didn't want to admit it. "It's all safe. You can go in," Eric asked the hairy heroes. Rivet was amazed. It reminded her of the time when the resistance could do something with the smallest things, only with more high technology this time.

"Now then. Enter the data for your ship and the com should work without any problems," the older man with the moustache let Ratchet to the console, where the lombax immediately checked the keys. Clank hopped off his back to take a closer look at the keyboards and systems. They looked very little like your own, but his best friend could read the numbers and letters. " You got all numbers correctly," the rebel moved a little closer to her boyfriend, who now put the phone to his mouth, "Yes...now it's time to hope for luck." The four of them crossed their fingers while the two humans waited for a reaction when...

"Hello...who's calling us?"

"SKIDD," Ratchet immediately shouted with joy, as did Clank, Kit and Rivet. Eric and Mr. Iron were surprised by this, but the younger nodded in satisfaction at the success of the two lombaxes. "Ratchet! Oh yeah, we found you," the champ on the other line was also relieved, as were the rest behind him, where Qwark now took the mic, "I knew nothing would finish you off so quickly! Are there any still alive?"

"Yes, but we're separated. We'll try to meet somewhere," the orange one almost summarized everything briefly before Rivet came on the mic, "We need a meeting point where you can land."

"The main base of our colony," the older man with the red hair suddenly added, "Behind it is a huge landing area that we used for our ships. We can land there, but it's a one-day walk to get there."

"Wait...who's that," Helga could be heard, her strong voice making herself known for the moment. Ratchet scratched his sailor's ear briefly before he began, "Two locals from the station. They want to... help..."

"Well then," the masked hero on the other line had the word again, "Take this route. We have no other ideas. If it's a huge landing area, then we have to take advantage of it."

"Agreed. See you tomorrow then, Qwark," and with that the radio ended.

Eric switched off the devices again so that no energy was wasted before leading his companions outside, "We shouldn't waste any time. Please follow me, besides Mr. Iron, I also know the way."

"After you then," said the rebel. The group walked through the large jungle again, on the way to a new destination. The humans went ahead, while the pair followed behind them, even if they were still wary. "Say, Eric. This is a colony so...are any still alive?" asked Kit, still attached to her friend's back. Unfortunately, the man's head bowed at the question, "No...we're the last ones here."

And before anyone could say another word, a noise was heard.

"Say... is someone calling us," the lombaxes looked around. Then the sound of water could be heard, which was also heard by the humans. "There is a river nearby, and someone is calling your names." The younger human followed the lombaxes through the trees until they reached a rocky edge, and the forest continued on the other side. The river went straight through the jungle. It was deep in the ground where it already looked like a cliff, plus the fierce current, but nothing could prepare you for who was on the other side. Familiar faces waved excitedly at the lombaxes.

"ADRIAN, TUSK, KENNY!"

"We found them, sir," the metal-like alien put the blaster down briefly. In addition to the elite soldiers, there were also five troopers, "We saw something moving in the bushes, and then the tail of your friend." Rivet raised her fluffy tail in a blush at this statement, but regained her composure, "Tell me, where are you idiots looking?" Everyone laughed at this, until Tusk noticed the two humans, "Locals? At last, then they can tell us where to get out of here!" Ratchet and Rivet immediately remembered the plan from the pink alien's comment, but Clank revealed it first, "There's a big base where there's a landing pad. It'll take a day to get there, but Captain Qwark will be waiting for us. Now we just have to get over to you."

"But the distance is huge. We'll have to hold on and climb somewhere," the heroes looked around until they spotted a grass rope between the cliffs nearby. It was thick enough to climb onto. "Humans first, then," Tusk said as Eric tried to get to the rope, but his superior intervened, "I'll take the first step, Eric. Then we'll see if it works for all of us."

"But sir...", but the older man began to climb. Halfway up, everything remained in place, but then the green began to tear away and Mr. Iron swung to the other side, screaming. "MR. IRON," the heroes watched as the older one was knocked briefly against the wall, but still holding on. The Special Force on the other side immediately pulled the human up before he could fall into the river.

"Thanks," the moustachioed man coughed before looking guiltily to the other side, "I'm so sorry...I had no idea what was going to happen." Ratchet had a thoughtful look on his face as he looked over at his best friend, "I couldn't make that jump, could I Clank?"

"We can't even get across with my propeller," the silver one had scanned the situation immediately, but then Kenny's voice rang out from the other side, "We'll take care of the human. Find another way, and if there isn't one, we'll meet back at the base. I'm sure the old one knows the way too!"

"Yes...follow me," Mr. Iron led the unit through the woods, who saluted the lombaxes one last time, now except for Tusk, "Good luck, Commander."

The couple saluted back. Now the four of them were alone again with Eric, who was worried about his superior, "I only saw Mr. Iron again for a few hours...and now he's gone again."

"But this time under the protection of soldiers, and not crazy androids," Rivet tried to cheer him up, "Lead us on, Eric!" The group continued to walk through the woods, this time without any familiar sounds, but the native animals or insects.

But then a loud roar was heard.

"That was definitely not a native animal," weapons were immediately drawn. The couple looked all around and Eric had his gun out too. The roar was familiar to them, but it had been a little away from them. Several more sounded that they also recognized. "What...they're ALL here," Rivet followed the shouts, and so did your beloved. The troop hid behind a large bush that had enough visibility to see the area where the loud noises sounded. Her eyes were wide open as a real battle was taking place.

A battle between aliens and predators.

Ratchet and Rivet could see two fighters battling a horde of more and more xenomorphs. They were using arm blades, spears and plasma cannons to defend themselves against the creatures, who were being killed one by one by the Yautja. On closer inspection, the couple discovered that this was their stalker, who had a fellow member of the species with him. The helmet still bore the scar from the shot, making it easier to recognize. "They're really going all in," the rebel whispered to her boyfriend, who was focused on the fight. The two hunters were losing, but it was due to the xenomorph's superior numbers, which were steadily increasing. Ratchet felt something build up inside him when he found the predator surrounded, but still fighting on. Then the hero had a flash of thought.

"The enemy, my enemy..."

And after that whisper, he immediately got up and ran towards the battlefield, despite the shouts of Rivet, Eric and also Clank. "RATCHET, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?, the rebel yelled after him as her boyfriend disappeared behind the bushes. Clank didn't look too thrilled either as his best friend picked up speed.

Meanwhile, on the battlefield next to the ruins, the young hunter and his partner continued to fight tooth and nail against the snakes, as they called them. The blades pierced their heads and bodies, and the plasma frightened some or caused them to burst. He also escaped the acid, as did his partner. But the xenomorphs were clearly outnumbered and had separated the two. The yautja tried to get to his companion, but some of his mortal enemies stopped him.

His partner was surrounded by the aliens he was fighting. Plasma shot, spears were swung and so was the arm blade. This predator, however, was slowly running out of strength, which the xenomorphs took advantage of and slowly overpowered him. With a final scream, he tried to fight with his fists, but in the end they took him by surprise. The son had to listen as the aliens began to tear at his flesh and stood up once more before a tail was smashed against his chest. He was not pierced, but it only made his open wounds gush more green blood. The xenomorph in front of him slowly approached the predator, who held his bleeding side and stared into the non-existent eyes of his opponent. The snake snarled and opened its mouth, to which the young hunter only roared back, showing no fear of death and now awaiting the final blow.

Then something wrench-like slammed against the xenomorph's head, followed by a few shots.

The predator suddenly saw the orange lombax coming towards the aliens with his rifle and shooting it down. The hairy alien saved his life, even though he was chasing him. Only now did the yautja notice how Ratchet skillfully shot down the xenomorphs in battle and his omniwrench for close combat. A truly honorable warrior stood before him, facing the beasts despite his puny size and showing no fear. One of the black monsters crept up behind the lombax and prepared to strike with its claws, which the lombax did not see coming.

Before the alien could strike or Clank could yell out, a spear pierced the xenomorph, drawing Ratchet's attention. The predator had righted himself and pulled out the arm blade. It was time to defeat the snakes. There were now lombax and yautja back to back against the xenomorph, cut down by the warriors' weapons. Only a few were left, which the orange hero shot down and the predator pierced. The last one was finally struck down and the two emerged as the victors of the battle.

The Predator cried out victoriously to the sky.

"Urgh... that was the last one," Ratchet leaned on his knees, panting for a moment, before his best friend's voice rang out, "That was very reckless of you! Imagine if he hadn't been cooperative."

"Oh, he knows I just saved his life," when the lombax turned to the Predator he didn't find him where he was standing. The yautja had moved towards a large green patch with a few dead xenomorphs etching away underneath it. Only the hunter wasn't standing there to catch sight of his killed game, and the lombax realized that, "Oh no...we're too late..." The silver bot climbed off the back to finally realize what was going on and then looked at the green blood spreading on the ground. Where a hunter had once fought, there was only a few remnants of an attack left, and in front of them, their Predator, staring at the aliens' work.

He was too late. His comrade was dead.
