So this chapter is the next three episodes (Suneater of the Big 3, Red Riot, and Temp Squad) mashed together and shortened, mainly because they mainly focused on side characters more, and I want to stay focused on the main two, Danny and Izuku.
The scene at the headquarters of Shie Hassaikai was a nightmare. Ryukyu and her sidekicks/work study students were handling the giant henchman, while everyone else was holed up just outside the entrance as several henchmen came out to block them. Several pro heroes helped the police with the henchmen, as Nighteye's agency and Fat Gum's agency stormed inside.
Fat Gum looked around as he was running, "Haven't seen any signs of suspicious activity yet!"
Rock Lock agreed, "Same here. But, hey, we're in it now, huh? We got no choice but to see it through."
Amajiki asked, "Is it possible that somebody leaked our plans for the raid? There must be a reason they all came pouring out like that."
The detective said, "No, if there had been a leak, I think they would be fighting more cohesively. Groups like this are used to working together."
Aizawa added, "There's nothing that matters more to these guys than their bond with their boss and their brothers. Being part of the underworld only makes loyalty that much more sacred to them."
Phantom said, "Wow, band of brothers, indeed."
Aizawa continued, "All those people outside, but we haven't caught sight of the top brass yet. They're probably underground hiding or getting ready to flee."
Kirishima growled, "How is that supposed to be loyalty? Forcing their henchmen to fight for them while they run away isn't manly at all!"
Phantom said, "Dude, this isn't a time to talk about manliness."
Nighteye stopped in front of a vase, "This is it. There's a device here that opens a hidden passage. You press down the floorboards in a specific order, and then…"
He pressed the floorboards in the correct order and a door opened. Bubble Girl gasped, "It's like a ninja hideout! How cool!"
Centipeder added, "Thank goodness for your Quirk, Sir. Guards up. We don't know what we might be facing in there."
Suddenly several henchmen came running out of the door. Centipeder and Bubble Girl took quick care of them. Bubble Girl said, "We'll make sure these guys don't follow. You go on ahead."
Nighteye shouted, "You heard her!"
Everyone ran down the dark hallway. Nighteye shouted, "We're almost there. Hurry!"
But then they came to a dead end. Mirio stepped forward, "Hold on, let me take a look."
Phantom added, "I'll go with him."
Kirishima shouted, "Lemillion, just let Danny go. If you go through, you'll be naked."
Amajiki said, "It's OK. Mirio's costume was constructed from a special fiber made of his own hair. It's designed so it becomes permeable when he activates his Quirk."
"Good to know," Phantom said as he and Mirio ran ahead and phased through the wall. "The hallway continues, Nighteye was right."
Mirio turned back to everyone, "The hallway's just been blocked with this wall. Unfortunately, breaking through is not going to be easy."
Phantom said, "Dude, there are people here that can easily punch through this wall. Izuku, Kirishima, want to join me?"
Kirishima grinned as he activated his Quirk, "You didn't have to ask."
Izuku added, "We're on the right track, so we'll punch through this wall!" He activated his Quirk as he, Kirishima, and Phantom punched through the wall, destroying it.
Rock Lock said, "Hey, that didn't suck."
Fat Gum added, "I'll say. They beat me to the punch."
Mirio said, "We need to keep moving."
Everyone started to run down the hallway, but suddenly the walls, floor, and ceiling started to move around, causing everyone to slip. Mimic had injected himself with a Quirk boosting drug and was the one causing the building to move.
"What's going on?" Kirishima asked.
"The walls are twisting," Izuku added.
The detective said, "This is someone different. Maybe Iranaka. Chisaki's Quirk can't do something like this. Iranaka's Quirk, Mimicry, lets him enter objects and control them as he would his own body. He must have gone into the concrete in the halls down here and made this a living maze."
Rock Lock added, "It shouldn't be possible on this scale! He's not supposed to be able to control anything larger than a refrigerator."
Fat Gum said, "Remember who we're dealing with, here. Dollars to doughnuts, he's using a performance-enhancer. I was ready for just about anything, but I didn't expect the whole building to turn against us. Still, controlling something this big's gotta be wearing the guy out. Eraser Head! Can't you stop him?"
Aizawa answered, "I can't do anything without seeing his real body."
Amajiki was starting to freak out, "We're gonna die down here!"
Mirio grabbed Amajiki's shoulder, "No way that's gonna happen. Understand? You can do this, Suneater. Besides, this is just a stopgap! They can warp the path forward if they want, but as long as we know the direction of our goal, I can still reach it!"
He ran forward, towards the direction of where Eri was. Nighteye shouted, "Lemillion!"
"Come back!" Izuku shouted.
Mirio shouted back, "Speed is what matters right now. Those guys know it, too, that's why they're stalling for time. I'm going on ahead!"
Nighteye turned to Phantom, "Phantom, go with him."
Phantom nodded, "Already ahead of you." He flew after Mirio.
Mimic saw this but decided to focus on the others, so he opened a hole in the ground and everyone fell through.
"Now where are we?" Izuku asked.
Rock Lock said, "Somewhere even farther from the target! Those guys are really screwing with us."
Suddenly three henchmen that are part of the Eight Bullets appeared in front of them. Fat Gum was ready for a fight, but Amajiki held him back, "The pros should save their strength for when we reach the target. These guys just wanna slow us down. Go on. I can handle them myself."
Kirishima argued, "You don't have to, we'll work together."
One of the Eight Bullets, Setsuno, started to charge forward. The detective shouted, "Setsuno! We can't use our guns on him. It's up to the pros."
Aizawa stepped forward and activated his Quirk, stopping Setsuno in his tracks.
Another henchman, Hojo, stepped forward, "Power erasure? He's an inferior version of Eri. I'd heard that a hero with your abilities existed. But our job's to slow you down. Quirks or no. We still have fists and weapons."
Fat Gum shouted, "Fight all you want, but swords and bullets just sink into my body! You have no hope of beating us, so why even bother?"
Amajiki quickly activated his Quirk and created octopus tentacles to grab all three henchmen. "Toya Setsuno. Quirk, Larceny. Yu Hojo: Crystallize. Soramitsu Tabe: Food. I read all about these guys in the briefing. I can take these three on. We eat tons of Takoyaki at the Fat Agency, so octopus has become one of my specialities. And you know, I gotta say I'm pretty down on guns since I was shot on the street." He tossed the henchmen down and took their weapons, creating a crab claw to crush them.
Kirishima said, "Hold on, Suneater!"
Amajiki continued, "It's not smart for all of us to fight them. They want as many heroes stalled here as possible. Let's just give them one. We should save all your Quirks, especially Eraser Head's for later. You'll need to be operating at 100% to get through those moving hallways. Fat Gum! I know this is something I can do on my own."
Fat Gum knew his work study student could handle this on his own. "Let's go."
Kirishima argued, "Wait a minute!"
Aizawa noticed the henchmen were trying to use their Quirks, so he quickly activated his Quirk and knocked one of the henchmen out. "Amajiki. You need to move fast. Beat them before they can fight back."
Amajiki nodded, "Before you go, you have to take care of Mirio! He's definitely going to try too hard. So please keep him safe."
Izuku said, "Danny is with him, but I will help keep Mirio safe, too."
Everyone left, leaving Amajiki to deal with the three henchmen. Kirishima argued, "Fat Gum! You gonna leave him alone back there? What are you thinking?"
Rock Lock said, "He's from your agency, so I left the decision to you. But are you sure he can handle them? Seems kinda risky."
Fat Gum replied, "I have faith in him. He's stronger than anybody here. His only weakness is self-confidence. The pressure to do things perfectly sometimes leaves him feeling crushed. Breaking his spirit. And yet, he's risen to become one of UA's Big Three under those conditions. So I trust him when he says he can take down those thugs on his own. If he believes in himself, I believe in him."
Back with Amajiki, since Aizawa left, the three criminals were able to break free of Amajiki's hold and went on the attack. Hojo activated his Quirk and crystals appeared all over his body. Setsuno stole some of Amajiki's clams. Both men charged in and hit Amajiki hard.
Amajiki knew he had to act fast, so he activated his Vast Hybrid special move. He also ate one of Hojo's crystals to aid in the fight. Both Hojo and Setsuno were hit back hard by Amajiki.
But then Tabe charged in and started to eat Amajiki's tentacle arms. All three henchmen rallied together and beat Amajiki to near unconsciousness. As Amajiki laid bleeding on the ground, the three men started to boast about their teamwork. Amajiki decided to use that against them. He flicked one of the crystals that fell off of Hojo into Setsuno's eyes, blinding him. He created a crystal shield to protect him from Hojo. He finally grabbed Hojo with a chicken foot and rammed all three henchmen into the far wall, knocking them all out cold, while also injecting neurotoxin from the tentacles into the three men.
Amajiki took some deep breaths, "The neurotoxins should be circulating throughout your bodies at this point. You're not gonna die, but I doubt you'll be doing any running for a while. Oh, and I'll be taking these masks with me. Who knows what kinda tricks you might have hidden in them? That took me too long. Wonder how far ahead the others are now. I need to catch up." But then he collapsed and passed out due to his exhaustion and injuries.
Elsewhere, the heroes and police were still running towards their target. Kirishima sighed, "Oh, man. Amajiki. I'm really worried about him."
That comment made Fat Gum shout, "Listen! You've left a comrade to guard your back, and if you're a real man, you'll trust him!"
That made Kirishima change his tune, "Yeah, he'll handle it, no problem!"
Izuku was shocked, "It doesn't take much to change your mind, does it?"
Kirishima shouted, "Fat's right! All we can do is have faith in him!"
Fat Gum added, "We can't afford to waste a second of the time Suneater bought us!"
Kirishima shouted, "All right! Let's go!"
Rock Lock sighed, "Kid needs to calm down."
Aizawa noted, "Strange. The guy who was manipulating the building seems to have eased off for some reason."
Izuku agreed, "Yeah, you're right. It's not twisting anymore."
Aizawa continued, "I'd expect him to throw as many obstacles in our way as he could to trip us up. If he's not, maybe that means his awareness and control don't extend through the entire place. There's also the police squad up above. It's possible he decided to focus all his attention on them instead."
Rock Lock realized, "So there's a limit to how much of the building he can keep tabs on?"
Aizawa answered, "It's just a theory, but maybe rather than having been assimilated into it, he's moving around inside the walls to monitor what's going on. So when he does take control of an area, perhaps his true body is nearby."
Meanwhile, Mimic saw the three henchmen and Amajiki all knocked out. "They only managed to stop one of the heroes? Garbage or not, those three are supposed to be strong."
Back with the main group, Aizawa continued, "If he pokes an actual eye or ear out to keep track of us, that'll be all it takes."
Up with Bubble Girl and Centipeder, they finished beating down the criminals and were now interrogating them. Bubble Girl said, "I can't believe you all came out to try and stop us. It seems crazy to me."
One Hassaikai member replied, "Well, it's not. Fighting you people was the only sane option. We couldn't just sit it out. If we did, Overhaul would've killed us without a thought."
Bubble Girl asked, "Overhaul, you're talking about Chisaki?"
The Hassaikai member nodded, "Yeah, it's what he started calling himself after the boss got sick and he came to power. The boss valued the old ways. He wanted the yakuza to stay as we were, even in these new times. We're not like villains; the Hassaikai have integrity. He didn't want us to be seen as just another group of low life thugs. He's who we respected. We trusted him. The young head gave himself a villain's name. Allowed scum to join us. He makes decisions on his own, doesn't care what the rest of us want. Thinks he's the only one whose vote matters. The boss's in bad shape. Can't even talk, and we know who to blame."
Bubble Girl said, "As much as you dislike Chisaki, you seem pretty sure that we're not going to catch him."
The Hassaikai member said, "You don't stand a chance. Whackjob like him? Doesn't care about consequences or even his own future? Those are the ones you have to watch out for. It's what makes them so dangerous."
Down with the main group, the wall suddenly attacked Aizawa and started to push him to the other wall, opening a hole, Mimic's doing. But Fat Gum pushed Aizawa out of the way and was pushed through the hole instead. He tumbled down until he fell into a basement level.
He heard mumbling beneath him and discovered that Kirishima was trapped underneath him, the first year thinking the same thing as Fat Gum.
But suddenly one of the Eight Bullets charged up at them. Kirishima activated his Quirk, but the member was stronger than Kirishima's Hardening, so the first year was punched several feet away.
The member turned their attention to Fat Gum, who took several punches without feeling a thing, thanks to his fat.
The member, Rappa, said, "You know what I think? Knives and guns got no place in a fight. Anyone can win if they got a weapon. That's the coward's way. A real fighter kills his opponents using nothing but his own strength. You a real fighter?"
Fat Gum was pissed. He tried to punch Rappa, but suddenly a force field blocked him.
Another member of the Eight Bullets walked up, Tengai, who said, "So, we have Fat Gum and a boy with a hardening Quirk. They're both better suited for defense. Disappointing, isn't it, Rappa?"
Rappa responded by running forward and punching Fat Gum some more, but the hero was now starting to feel those punches.
Rappa chuckled, "You call that a good defense? They're both looking rough already. I mean, they're not mincemeat yet, but still."
Some of Kirishima's arms were breaking apart, while Fat Gum was worried as these two weren't on the list he received.
Tengai sighed, "We are a spear and a shield. Whereas you are simply two shields."
Rappa interrupted, "Wait, hold on. Who'd wanna fight with two shields? Sounds lame."
Tengai replied, "To be fair, I don't know whether that boy even qualifies as one."
Kirishima was starting to feel like he was weak, but Fat Gum shouted, "Remember, you're unbreakable! If you let them break your spirit, that means you've lost! When you're up against villains, the key is making them lose their will to fight first! You can't lose your drive before they do! Now, let's take those two fatheads down and get outta here! The others are waiting for us!"
Tengai created a shield around himself and Rappa. "They believe they can defeat us. You must be thrilled."
Rappa chuckled, "I like the way that fat guy thinks! All right, this is starting to get good. Get rid of this damn thing, Tengai. I don't need a stupid bubble to keep me safe."
Tengai sighed, "Rise above your own desires. Remember what Master Overhaul said. He paired us for a reason. Our skills complement each other, ensuring victory."
Then they started to argue with each other, Rappa trying to punch Tengai, but a shield was put up to protect him from Rappa's punches. Tengai finally relented and took down the shield around both of them, keeping the smaller one protecting him up. Rappa was happy, ready to fight.
Fat Gum knew that he couldn't back down from this fight. He had to keep going or else he and Kirishima would die. He then said, "Your name's Rappa, right? It's been a while since I've been hit that hard. And I've done a decent amount of fighting over the years, too. In the end, it's all gonna come down to what happens first. Your arms get tired or my body gives out. Which is stronger? Spear or shield? I guess we're about to find out, aren't we?"
Rappa got excited, "All right, you totally get me, Fatso! Tengai, remember, no barriers. Yeah! This is gonna be awesome, guys!"
He charged in and threw multiple punches into Fat Gum, who took them all in, but it was clear that his body wouldn't hold out forever.
Kirishima was starting to freak out. He knew that Fat Gum was protecting him. He knew that he had to get stronger, or else this fight would end badly.
He ran and got in front of Fat Gum, taking the punches. Kirishima just hardened his body more and more, taking the punches like a champ.
When they both swung to strike each other, Tengai put up a shield. "Nothing can overcome the strength of my defense. The boy's attack was in vain."
But as Kirishima fell back, Fat Gum grabbed him. "It wasn't in vain. Thank you, Red. You bought me the time I needed! The two of you are gonna lose. Do you wanna know why? You made a mistake. And so did I. We underestimated the hero named Red Riot, and his chivalrous spirit!"
Because while Fat Gum was taking those punches, he stored their power into himself, using his fat to burn it into energy. Once he was ready, thanks to Kirishima's timing, he turned all of his fat into golden energy, rapidly losing weight, and threw a giant punch, breaking the shield and blowing both members into the opposing wall, knocking them out cold. "A spear and a shield. The victory is ours."
Elsewhere, Chisaki and Kurono were carrying Eri away. Chisaki sighed, "So much noise. Those fools had better be doing their jobs."
Kurono replied, "I hate to say it, but I think this is the end for the Hassaikai."
Chisaki said, "As long as the boss and I live, the Hassaikai will, too. Most of the men remain loyal to him but don't understand my way of thinking. Even though I respect the boss's will more than any of them do. As long as we have the finished product and the serum, I can bring us back from the brink of extinction. This little incident will make a good story for potential investors. We've developed a drug that heroes are afraid of. Exactly the sort of thing they're after. They'll finance it happily. And on that note, it's time to pull your weight, temps." He was referring to Toga and Twice.
Back with Kirishima and Fat Gum, Rappa suddenly woke up and wanted to fight again, but knew he couldn't because his arms were broken. He even knocked out Tengai even more to shut him up. Rappa applauded both Fat Gum and Kirishima for their styles, calling Kirishima a man. He offered a safe room to them, which Fat Gum reluctantly took.
Fat Gum and Rappa took on some small talk, Rappa saying that the only reason he joined Overhaul was because he was beaten by Overhaul. Five times. He still wants to beat Overhaul. Fat Gum was shocked. He asked what Overhaul wanted. Rappa happily answered that Overhaul wanted to make the yakuza powerful again. And he revealed that Overhaul wants to distribute something, and needs money to do it.
Meanwhile, Mimic was starting to panic, "The two boys who went ahead. If the blonde one was alone, he wouldn't be a threat, but I know that other boy fought with All Might. If I tried to stop him, he would defeat me pretty quickly. So I'll leave him to Overhaul. But that other group, this is their main force. The ones I need to stop. My boost will wear off soon. No choice but to do it now. We've left the old ways behind, and there's no going back. We can only move forward."
Back with the main group, Nighteye shouted, "Hurry! We need to catch up to Mirio and Fenton fast!"
But Mimic then started to make the walls, floor, and ceiling move, trying to crush them. Nighteye shouted, "Rock Lock, do something!"
Rock Lock shouted back, "Stop giving orders! This is all your fault! Listening to you is what got us into this mess! Fine! This oughta do it. Deadbolt! Once I lock something down, it ain't going anywhere." He locked several spots down, making it possible for people to get through.
Mimic set a wall towards them, but Izuku activated One For All and smashed through it. Mimic sent more walls, but Izuku just kept smashing with his Shoot Style. He shouted, "No way I'm gonna let you stop us now!"
Suddenly Mimic separated the group by building walls between them. Aizawa saved Izuku from getting crushed. Nighteye was with the detective and other police officers.
Rock Lock was suddenly attacked by Toga, stabbing him in the back. Izuku broke through the wall and found Rock Lock on the ground, bleeding, and another Rock Lock standing nearby, claiming the one on the ground is an imposter. Aizawa knew right away that the standing one was Toga. He quickly erased her Quirk as she started to attack Izuku, who dodged her knife. Aizawa used his scarf to get Toga away from Izuku, but she stabbed him in return. But before Aizawa could attack again, another wall appeared, separating Toga from Izuku and Aizawa.
Back with Nighteye and the police, they were confronted by Twice and a healed Rappa. Rappa immediately went after Nighteye, but Nighteye countered and sent Rappa to an opposite wall, surprising the police.
Nighteye revealed his secret weapon, "These high density personal seals are my support items. Each weighs about five kilograms. Quite fitting, aren't they? A humorous accessory for my stiff persona. I made a prediction and acted accordingly. Perhaps I'm able to move faster in close combat because I've seen the choices of so many different people. But I could not have predicted this. I didn't think the infamous League of Villains would stoop to joining forces with mere yakuza."
Rappa melted, revealing that it was a clone twice created. Nighteye quickly attacked Twice, ripping half of his mask off. Twice ran off, Mimic putting a wall between him and the hero group. Twice was starting to freak out.
But then Toga appeared and wrapped a scarf around Twice's exposed half of his face. Toga said, "You should feel whole now that you're covered up again. We're working so hard to help these gangsters. But they're kinda useless, huh? I know you've gotta be hurting. You feel the most responsible for Big Sis Magne's death, and it's getting you down. But you've gotta be a good bad guy and power through so we can do what we came here to do, OK? It's gotta be rough in your head, Jin. So sad. But if this whole team up fails now, we won't get our reward."
In reality, she and Twice were told by Shigaraki to infiltrate the yakuza and destroy them from the inside. Toga knew Mimic was nearby and was trying to get him angry. And she succeeded. Mimic shouted with immense anger and sent Toga and Twice down a hole. Then he focused on the heroes. "Crush them all to death!"
