"NNNNOOOOOO!" screamed a woman and Bucky looked around to see Wanda looking around in horror and crying. Steve...where is Steve? Alison...Alison was on here way here to get Vision, thought Bucky looking around. He was in the jungle in Wakanda. I saw Alison...she was in a lab...with Bruce...she was so worried.
Bucky shook his head and tried to think about what had just happened. He remembered Steve telling them to get to his position. He remember seeing a purple man...Thanos. I was rushing him with Natasha and Okoye...he knocked us away like we were nothing. I got up...I felt odd...I called out for Steve...I fell. Bucky looked and his gun was gone. Did that raccoon take my gun? Bucky noticed his pocket felt empty and realized he was missing the chain that had his dog tags and wedding ring
"Where is he? Where's Vision? I killed him...and he...he brought him back...he killed him again...Thanos...I'll kill him," hissed Wanda. Bucky noticed the tree creature was looking at him and than looking around calling "I am Groot. I am Groot!" Why...why doesn't that seem odd?
"Where is everyone?" asked Bucky. He looked around and something about the trees seemed odd. Some were much taller than he remember and others hadn't changed at all. The light also looked wrong. It had been near noon and now it looked like twilight was upon them.
"Damn that hurt," muttered Sam joining them.
"General," called T'Challa and he looked around at them clearly confused.
"What the hell is happening?" asked Bucky.
"We...we...I thought we died," said Wanda softly.
"I am Groot!" said the little tree sadly.
"That's not possible," said Bucky. I saw Alison picking out a tombstone...I watched her call my nephew and ask if it was ok to have a new one put up, thought Bucky. Wanda looked at him and wondered if his thoughts were the loud ones should could pick up on. Was...no...it was dream...it's all hazy.
"Brother...brother are you there?" asked Shuri through T'Challa's Kimoyo beads.
"I'm here," said T'Challa and it sounded like there was sobbing in the background. Ramonda's voice came though and she took a deep shaking breath.
"I...it is so good to hear your voice again...I...carriers will be on their way to collect you all. There is much to explain," said Ramonda.
"Mother...what has happened?" asked T'Challa. It felt like lifetimes until Okoye started speaking.
"It's been five years since we lost you all...there...there is too much to explain this way. Let us come get you and we'll explain everything," said Okoye. Bucky felt like he had been punched in the gut and clearly he wasn't the only one based on the expressions around him. Gone...I've been gone...dead for five years. I...I made Alison a widow. For the past five years she's been my widow. She's been my widow longer than she was my wife...I left her alone. No...was she alone?
Alison was laying in a hospital bed trying to catch her breath. Robert brushing hair off face and Steve holding her hand. Natasha offering her a thing of ice chips.
"You know all the training we did...it was really just gearing me up for this right?" asked Alison looking back and forth between Steve and Natasha. Steve gave her a small smile and Natasha kissed her on the forehead.
"I'm going to let you be the baddest bitch in this room for the next month," said Natasha. Bucky shook his head trying to make sense of what had played in his head and Sam looked at him.
"You ok?" asked Sam.
"My head...everything is fuzzy," said Bucky. Is she alright? She promised me she wouldn't do anything stupid. Did she hurt herself? Did she meet someone else? It's been five years. I just wanna see her.
"We have much to figure out," said T'challa.
"I'm afraid we won't have much time for that," said a voice from behind them. They looked to see a man floating behind them and coming through a golden circle of light.
"And who the hell are you?" asked Sam.
"My name is Doctor Stephen Strange and the fight has only just started. We weren't the only ones that our friends brought back and they are going to need us if we want to win this time," said Strange.
"Well that is not foreboding or anything," said Sam.
"How did they bring us back?" asked Wanda. They went through time...how do I know that, thought Bucky.
"The ones that survived were able to gather the Infinity Stones again and returned you to life. However...Thanos returned with them...well a Thanos from a different time," said Strange.
"Are they alright?" asked Bucky.
"For now," said Strange.
"Once again not foreboding or anything," said Sam. Bruce was hurt and Alison wanted to help him...did I stop her. How?
"We will gather our forces as quickly has possible. Can you get us to them?" asked T'challa and Strange raised an eyebrow.
"I just crossed the galaxy in under a minute. Trust me I can get us where we need to be. I need time to gather the others. Meet us on the plains in five minutes. They'll be waiting for us," said Strange.
"Hey...I need however we're getting there to be on Cap's left side," said Sam and they all looked at him confused. "It's an inside joke and well after five years and whatever the hell we're walking into he might appreciate it," said Sam. Strange sighed and he created another circle of light and walked through it.
"General. Gather what you can and meet us on the plains. The battle isn't over yet," said T'challa.
"Yes your highness," said Okoye.
"This time...let us finish it properly," said T'challa.
"I am Groot!" Alison looking at him with eyes that were white and tears in eyes. "I just had to see you again."
…...
Shuri handed him a gun and shook her head at him.
"We have better weapons you know," said Shuri nodding at her blaster and Bucky shook his head and adjusted the gun.
"Sometimes the old fashioned works best," said Bucky and Shuri moved on to help gear others up for the battle. Okoye came over with updated communication devices and for a second Bucky caught an odd look in her eye when she handed him his ear piece.
"Is Alison...is she alright?" asked Bucky. He had looked for her in the masses around them getting their gear and weapons and he couldn't find her. It hit him that if he had been dead the last five years she would have left Wakanda and she could be anywhere right now. She's with Steve...Steve would have looked out for her. Sam looked at Okoye expectantly. She had been here this whole time and if anyone would know where Alison was it would be her. She sighed deeply and looked at both of them.
"She was alright...we lost communication with Avenger Headquarters seconds after your return. She..." Okoye looked Bucky in the eyes and smiled softly. "Your wife will have a great deal to tell you when she sees you again." She walked away and Sam looked confused.
"Once again foreboding," called Sam. Bucky checked his gun and Sam nudged him.
"She called Alison your wife. Means that in the last five years she didn't suffer any other fools," said Sam.
"She suffered with you her whole life so I say her tolerance for fools is pretty high," said Bucky with a small smile. They lost contact with Headquarters. Is she still alright? What has she been doing these last five years? Will I even recognize her?
"Everyone gather in formation," ordered Okoye and Bucky took his place with the other members of the Jabari tribe and Groot stood next him. Sam took the skies and Bucky looked as a portal opened in front of him and he could see a mass of destruction in front of him. It looked to be anything and everything Thanos could throw at them. Where are you? Bucky heard Sam tell Steve "On your left." before flying through the portal.
Steve looked badly beaten and his shield was broken in half, but he looked near tears and smiled when he saw them all. Nice to know you missed us punk.
"Yibambe!" yelled T'Challa and the army behind him chanted in return. Bucky noticed as they walked through other groups coming through portals. Is that flying horse? It was becoming impossible to tell where all these people were coming from, but clearly they all had one goal in mind. Let's take this asshole down. The ground next to them shook and Bucky was sure that was Scott coming through the ground in his giant form and sitting others down, but there were too many people to see who they were. I can't see her.
The roar of them was deafening, but over all of them Bucky heard Steve yell.
"AVENGERS! ASSEMBLE!"
…...
Alison woke with a start and everything was ringing in her head and she was starting to wonder if messing with time was causing her to relieve some of the worst moments of her life. 2012 had slapped her in the face and now she was clearly back in 2016. Vienna...the UN bombing.
For a second Alison thought she was going to see Jenny impaled and dead next to her. She was going to hear David pleading for Jenny to wake up. She was going to hear T'Challa screaming for his father. She was waiting for the screaming, alarms and sirens to come to her. Alison knew she could hear, there was yelling above her. How far had she fallen? What hell was going to visit her next? It took her a second to get up and work through the ringing in her head and for her vision to adjust to the semi darkness. Her back hurt like crazy and she realized she had landed on one of her staves. The other was no where to be found. Nothing felt broken though which was a sign that maybe not all of her personal hells were going to pay her a visit. Well clearly I'm not in the Siberia portion of hell, thought Alison recalling her badly broken leg during Tony, Steve and Bucky's fight.
"Hello," called Alison and she waited to hear anything. Her ear comm had clearly fallen out during her fall so she had no way of being able to get in touch with the rest of the team. Is there a team left? She took a step forward and nearly tripped over her on damn med bag. Alison almost laughed as she grabbed the bag and checked it. There were some medical supplies, a flare gun, a heavy duty flashlight and her cell phone. I forgot I put it in the bag before Bruce put on the glove. I wanted to be sure I didn't lose it in case things went crazy...which all things considered.
Alison turned the flashlight on and looked at her phone stunned. She had missed calls from Foggy and she also had missed calls from Matt. M. Matt Murdoch. Renee and Sophia didn't have her cell phone number, but if Matt was with Foggy...It worked...holy shit it worked. They're alive. Oh my god. Alison put the phone back in her bag and adjusted the straps of the bag so she could carry it on her back.
Alison was getting ready to start down the hallway when she heard a soft groan and she shined the flashlight around trying to find the source.
"Ally Cat," whispered a voice to her left. She turned in that direction and choked back a scream. She felt something cold take her hand. Mom. It was Robert and he was buried under the rubble. Alison knelt and grabbed Robert's hand. He squeezed it weakly and Alison took a deep breath. Focus. Ok . Let's try to get this rubble off and see what we can do.
"Dad...hey I'm going to try to get this off you," said Alison. He groaned and looked at her with a grimace.
"If anyone could do it will be you," said Robert sounding beyond tired.
Alison looked to make sure nothing was supporting what was on top of Robert before she started taking the rubble off him. It didn't take Alison long to see that it didn't matter if she got the rubble off him or not. Unless she could get him to a hospital and into an OR to stop the internal bleeding and get him there quickly. He coughed and spit out some blood that she could see in the flashlight was a very dark red. She could tell his pulse was weak and she knew it was her father's hand that was so cold holding her hand. Still she had to try. She went to move another chunk when she noticed the piece of rebar sticking out of the top of a piece of rubble the size of a laundry hamper resting on his abdomen and shining the flashlight on it showed there was blood pooling under him. It's in him and I can't move it without pulling it out and if I pull it out he'll bleed out faster and I don't know if we can get him out of here quickly to get him help.
"Shit," hissed Alison and Robert let out a weak laugh.
"It's always good to hear that from a medical professional," said Robert and he coughed again and more blood came out.
"Let me think," whispered Alison. She put her hand on his forehead and he was so cold to the touch she thought maybe she had touched her mom again, but something about this was different the cold she had felt when Bucky and her mother had touched her.
"Maybe there is something in here to cut through the rubble and the rebar. We can work from there," said Alison and she started to dig through the bag. Maybe Tony put a mini laser in here, I've seen them the lab when he was doing super fine work. Please...Please...come on. Scissors. Tape. Wraps. Cold pack. Heating pack. Pain meds...come on!
"Ally...Ally-Cat...it's ok sweetie...honey look at me," said Robert and Alison had to fight back a sob. Robert squeezed her hand has hard as he could. "This isn't your fault...I would have been here even if you hadn't agreed to help the team. I'm glad you helped though...I'm glad you're here well...not for this part," said Robert and Alison was unable to find words.
"I need you to promise me that once you get out of here...you will not dwell on this...you won't spend your life trying to find a solution to this. I spent so long after your mother died and I left you trying to find a solution to everything and...I missed out on you. You were just a baby...and you never got to be a baby...you always had to be a big girl," said Robert.
"I don't know if I can," said Alison and she felt his grip getting weaker and she held on harder. There had to be a way. Maybe she could find her ear piece and get someone to her? Maybe she could find help before he lost any more blood? Could a flare get through everything? Maybe Bruce could use the Stones again and suddenly Robert's grip got tight on her hand as if he caught her thoughts.
"No...no Stones. They brought back who needed to come back...they did what needed to be done and when you get out of here...you send them back to where they came from...we can't use them for everything. Not everything can be fixed and that's ok. Not accepting that...that's how you turn into the purple dickhead who caused this mess," said Robert.
There was roaring, screaming, thunder above her and Alison bit her lip so hard she could taste blood. It was clear that there was a fight going on and that one way or another she was going to have to take her part in it. It would mean leaving her father here and it tore at her. She had already lost him once has child...not much older than Rebecca. I get to relive that hell through my baby. How is that even fair?
"He's going to need you...I didn't know how to parent without your mother. He's a good man and he has a good heart...but he can't do it alone. She's going to need you...if anyone knows how it feels to have a dad just show up one day after being dead," said Robert trying to smile and coughing up more blood. His grip was getting loose and Alison was having a harder time trying to find a pulse.
"I love you...mom...mom missed you," said Alison and she could tell he was struggling to breath. Alison felt the cold wrap around her and she took a deep breath. Mom...is he going to see you...
"I missed her too," said Robert and he closed his eyes. Alison felt his pulse get fainter and his breathing grow more labored until he let go of her hand. The cold that had been wrapped around her let go and Alison let out a sob. They missed each other and maybe they need some time. Alison kissed his forehead before she stood up.
Alison knew the promise her father had asked her to do was going to be hard. She knew it would take her time to not think of this place in time and wonder if she could have saved him somehow. There was a larger part of herself though that knew it would do her no good and that she could still save the others that she loved if she kept on going. Good bye dad. Alison felt something cold brush against her as she made her way towards the sounds above her. The living need me now.
…...
"I think your wife would let me have the arm," said Rocket and Bucky looked at him.
"You are not getting my arm and have you seen my wife?' asked Bucky firing at another wave of oncoming troops.
"Not since the building went up," said Rocket taking a second to look at the shell of the compound. Bucky also took a second to look and fought the urge to go in there looking for her. Where the hell would I even start to look for her. Why hasn't she been on the coms? Bucky fought a wave of panic and kept firing. What if after all this...he lost her.
"Capt what do you want me to do with this damn thing?" asked Clint over the com. Bucky had thought he had seen him run by carrying a glove with the Stones on it. Because keeping them hidden until we finish this fight would have been too god damn easy.
"Get those Stones has far away as possible!" ordered Steve.
"No. We need to get them back where they came from," said Bruce throwing one of the creatures at least three football fields away.
"Thanos destroyed the Quantum Tunnel we can't send them back," said Tony.
"Wait! That wasn't our only time machine," said Scott and Bucky heard a faint musical horn. What in the hell?
"Does anyone see an ugly brown van out there?" asked Steve and there was female laughter over the coms.
"Yes and you aren't going to like where it's parked," she said. Ok flying horse lady is new. Ask about that later.
"Scott how long will it take for you to get that thing working?" asked Tony.
"Give us ten minutes," said Scott.
"Get it started and we'll get the Stones to you," said Steve.
"We're on it Cap," said another female voice. It wasn't Alison's and Bucky wanted to scream. Where the hell are you sweetheart?
…...
Natasha had once told her that anything could be a weapon if used properly. It had taken Alison some time to figure out which direction she needed to be to get up to the ground floor. On her way up she had found a fire extinguisher that had been damaged and axe that had the handle broken at the bottom. We can make these work. Alison grabbed them both and kept making her way up. She had taken the scissors and flare gun out of the med bag and put them in her coats pocket before making her way out into the open and was almost taken back about the nightmare in front of her. Her grandfather had told her stories about trying to storm Iwo Jima and how it was almost impossible to tell who was next to you, who was in front of you and who was behind you because the chaos. At least she could sort of tell who her people were. The lasers are clearly us and the thunder...is that a fucking Pegasus?
It would so easy to go back into the rubble and hide until it ended one way or another. She couldn't though. They're here...Wanda, Sam, Bucky...in the city is our daughter and she needs us...the world needs us. Alison's grip on the fire extinguisher tightened as four of the aliens spotted her and started running towards her. Alison took the axe head and hit the already damaged fire extinguisher and she thought she heard a faint hiss coming from it. She threw the extinguisher towards them and while the can was heading towards them, Alison fired the flare gun into the can causing it to explode. Alison quickly loaded the other flare she had and put gun back her pocket before tightening her grip on the axe and running into battle.
…...
Bucky heard the sound of the explosion which on the battle field wasn't anything new. It was a bit to close for his liking through, only 30 feet away. The white smoke and flare trail in the aftermath was a bit new. Improvise with what you have. He looked through the scope to see if anything could be made out through the haze.
Bucky saw a figure in a green coat from behind. Two aliens were already dead that their feet and it look like the figure in the green coat had swung an axe into the face of one alien and has they tried to pull it out were tackled from behind. He went to take a shot when the axe wielder stepped backwards towards her second attacker and drove the broken handle into him. She pulled the axe out the first one's face and than she pulled the handle out her second attacker and swung the axe into the side of their neck dropping them. Blue blood covered her face and Bucky almost dropped his gun. Alison.
She was about to be rushed by another group when he saw her pull a flare gun out and fire into one of the aliens and killed it. Bucky watched Alison drop the empty gun and grip the axe with both hands and swing it like a baseball bat into the chest of the closest one. Another knocked her down and Bucky fired on the ones still standing near her causing them to drop. Bucky started running towards her when he saw that she had stabbed the one that had been on top of her through the head and had gotten him off her. He watched her pick up a brick and throw it at the one still standing with her axe in it knocking him to his knees. The one with the thing still in his head went to get up when Alison pulled her stave out and she hit it in the face. She pulled her weapon out of it's head and drove it in eye dropping it. She pulled it out again and rushed the one still standing with the axe in it's chest and stabbed that one in the face has well. She pulled her axe out and went deeper in battle.
Holy shit, thought Bucky and a hazy thought came to him. But when you do see her again...she's going to be fighting right next to you. She is going to become even more of a badass. Well it was sort of next to him and yeah what she had done was kind of bad ass and a little terrifying. Oh we have a lot to catch up sweetheart. He went to call out to her and hoped she would hear him over the battle when the ship above them opened fire.
…...
Alison took cover under an outcropping of rocks and watched as Carol took out the ship above them. I wonder if you and mom are watching this right now. Alison looked over and there was a teenage boy curled up around the glove and Alison sighed deeply and recalled the last time she had seen that uniform. Another one of my personal hells come to see me.
"Didn't get enough action at the airport kid?" asked Alison and he looked at her confused.
"At the airport...oh yeah...well...I mean...I also went to space and well here I am..." said the boy and Alison shook her head as Carol landed in front of them.
"Taking a break from your kid?" asked Carol and Alison shrugged.
"I found a new one," said Alison and she pointed at the boy. "Also your hair is amazing. Only you could bring down an alien warship and not have a hair out of place." Carol grinned at her and looked over at the boy. The boy looked up at Carol and smiled slightly.
"Hi. I'm Peter...Peter Parker." Alison helped Peter out of the hole they were in and Carol grinned at him. It's nice to finally have a name to a face, thought Alison.
"Hey Peter Parker. I heard you had something for me," said Carol. Peter looked over Carol's shoulder and Alison saw the hoard rushing towards them. The axe was about fall apart, but she could still use the handle and she had her stave.
"I don't know how you're going to get through all that," said Peter handing Carol the glove. Wanda landed next to her and it was all Alison could do to not hug her. I missed you so much. There was a woman on a Pegasus, Okoye and Pepper in an Iron Uniform. Well I wonder who she got to babysit last minute, thought Alison and she nearly started laughing at the thought.
"Don't worry," said Wanda.
"She has help," said Okoye.
"Besides did you miss where she flew through a space ship?" asked Alison. Carol took off with the glove and Alison threw herself back into the fight. The axe head broke off on the first hit she made, but Okoye had taken out one of the Thanos's generals and Alison took the glave off him and started swinging with that. Okoye was at her back and they swung their weapons at the same target and took him out together. Shuri blasted a couple of aliens next to them and grinned at Alison.
"It's nice to see you aren't hindered by the primitive the way your husband is," said Shuri and Alison felt her heart clench.
"Have you seen him?" asked Alison and Shuri nodded and blasted another alien. Alison took the glave and ran through two more and Okoye took out another two. She touched Alison's arm and they took a moment.
"He will be overjoyed to see you...you just have to stay alive," said Okoye with a grin. Alison took a deep breath and Okoye saw the look in Alison's eyes and her face softened. "The Plains will have a lot of our hearts today dear friend...let us hope that we meet them on another day a long time from now."
"Let's hope for that," said Alison. Another hoard start rushing towards them. "In the meantime...I wanna send these ones to whatever afterlife they believe in."
"I couldn't agree more," said Okoye and they threw themselves into the fray. There didn't seem to be a end in sight as another wave came towards them. Alison was starting to feel the effects of running on almost nothing. One of the aliens grabbed her hair from behind and kicked her knees out from under her and one in front of her grabbed the weapon out of her hand and she felt the blade press into her throat. Okoye turned to swing when Alison felt the grip on her hair loosen and the one in front of her turned to dust. Alison got to her feet shakily and watched as the hoards around and above them started turning to dust. Someone used The Stones...who used them, thought Alison. She lean against Okoye and they looked around in shock and relief.
"It's over," breathed Okoye and Alison was overwhelmed with how quiet everything sounded now. Alison looked around trying to get her bearings when she spotted Pepper kneeling in front of someone and crying. Alison knew in her gut that only one person here could do that to her. Oh no...no...Tony.... Alison started limping her way over when Rhodey took her arm and shook his head. She spotted Tony and knew there was nothing she could do. Tony had been the one to use the Stones and no human, even one in Iron Suit could have handled the energy put off by the Stones.
"You...you can help him right? That's a medic pack and...you have to help him," said Peter and Alison shook her head and looked Peter in his eyes.
"If I could...I would in second...there are just...somethings that can't be undone," said Alison softly. Peter let out a sob and Alison hugged him and shushed him in a way that reminded Peter vaguely of his own mother from a long time ago.
"I wanna go home," whispered Peter. We all do...we all do, thought Alison.
…...
It was Sam who found her first in the makeshift medic area. Strange and the other Sorcerers used their magic to create portals between Avenger campus, Wakanda, the Sanctum on Bleecker Street, and Kamar-Taj to get the help needed. Alison figured this would be as good a place as any to try and find Bucky and Sam. If they didn't come through here she would go looking for them.
Alison was finishing up setting a broken arm of one the Kingsguard before they headed back home for better treatment when she felt a hand on her shoulder and she nearly jumped out her skin. They came back and we have to keep fighting until there is nothing left. Alison grabbed a scalpel and was about to swing when Sam caught her wrist.
"Hey...hey...it's good to see you too," said Sam. Alison let the scalpel fall and Sam pulled her into a hug. "The fight is over...no need to keep swinging," said Sam softly. Alison let out a shaky breath and hugged him back hard and was shaking.
"I'm sorry...I just...shit I missed you," said Alison.
"I wish I could say the same. Doesn't feel like five years," said Sam and Alison let out a dry sob.
"I wish I could say the same," said Alison and Sam took a step back from her and studied her.
"When was the last time you sat down?" asked Sam and Alison shrugged. "Come on...let's sit down," said Sam pulling her over an empty cot and making her sit down. Alison pulled her backpack off and pulled her phone out. She was stunned that it held up considering everything. She had more missed calls from Foggy and Matt. Sam looked at the phone and squeezed Alison's hand.
"You gonna return those calls?" asked Sam and Alison sighed.
"My dad...my dad died and I don't know if I can return these calls yet," said Alison. I don't know if I'm ready to hear her voice. Sam nodded and squeezed her hand.
"Just let them hear your voice. You can tell them all the hard stuff in person, but let them know you are still here," said Sam. With a shaking hand, Alison hit the call button on Foggy's number and it barely rang before Foggy picked up sounding like he had run the New York Marathon.
"Alison. Alison is that you?" asked Foggy.
"It's me Nelson," said Alison and he let out a whoop and she could hear him tell someone or maybe someones that she was ok before getting back on the line. "Thank god. It's been crazy. I was in my office and all of sudden Matt and Karen are in the office and like clients from five years ago were popping up and Marci said people were popping back up in her office and..." Alison cut him off.
"Is Rebecca there? I really need to hear her voice," said Alison. Sam did a double take, but said nothing.
"Oh shit...I...yes...let me get her," said Foggy. There was a moment of silence that felt like forever to her until she heard Rebecca's voice.
"Mommy," said Rebecca and Alison fought back her tears.
"Hi sweetie...I...just...I wanted to say hi. I...I still have a lot of work to do here so I might be gone a few more days. I miss you though," said Alison.
"I miss you too," said Rebecca.
"Can you tell Uncle Foggy I'll call again as soon as I can. I love you," said Alison.
"I love you too," said Rebecca. Alison ended the call and Sam looked at her stunned.
"I take it a lot happened over the last five years," said Sam.
"You can't even imagine," said Alison. Sam went to say something when Alison heard a voice she hadn't heard since she had gone to help Shuri in the lab and he had gone with Steve to the fields. She looked over and there stood Bucky.
…...
Bucky stood outside the med tent and saw Alison sitting on a cot with Sam. She was talking on the phone with someone and Sam looked beyond puzzled at who she was talking too. She looked near tears with whoever was on the other end of that call. It's been five years. Had there really been no one else for her? Bucky heard Alison tell the caller that she loved them and something about the tone settled firmly for him that it wasn't a lover. There was something too soft and yet heartbreaking in the way it was said be directed at someone romantic. Who are you talking too? Alison ended the call and Sam looked at Alison shocked.
"I take it a lot happened over the last five years," said Sam.
"You can't even imagine," said Alison.
"Alison," called Bucky. She looked towards him and her green eyes locked on him. The look she gave him was so full of longing it pulled at him. It really has been five years. Alison stood up and came towards him. Both of her hands were shaking has she took his face in her hands. Bucky gripped one of her hands with his left hand and put his right hand on her waist.
"I missed you," whispered Alison and he pulled her into into a hug. Bucky could feel her body shaking against him and he pulled in tighter.
"I...I dreamed about you," whispered Bucky and Alison rubbed her cheek against his.
"Good dreams?" asked Alison and Bucky sighed. He thought they were dreams. They were hazy and like he was watching something through a mist. It didn't matter now.
"For the most part," said Bucky.
"There is so much I need to to tell you. Can you take a walk with me?" asked Alison and Bucky kissed her forehead.
"I haven't been near you in five years...I'll walk wherever you want," said Bucky. Alison took his hand and smiled softly. She wove her fingers through his left hand and together they headed out of the tent.
"Do you wanna talk about your dreams?" asked Alison and Bucky shook his head. I dreamed you had a baby...our baby...that's not possible...it was still a nice dream though.
Thoughts are always welcome
