Eula preferred drinking alone. Aside from a select group of people, nobody liked her much. Few taverns allowed her on their premise. One of the many benefits of being a descendant of the Lawrence Clan. Not that she cared.

Angel's Share bustled with customers who kept away from her. That suited her just fine. After a long day of work, having time to think was helpful. Clearly, the solitary life suited her preferences.

Alone at the table, she studied her reflection in the wine goblet.

"Eula? Is that you?"

Someone stood by her table: a tall, pale woman who wore a veil and blue lipstick. It took her a moment to remember that Mirror Maiden lady from the UHA.

As a general rule, she distrusted Fatui, but this one was alright. Eula cleared her sinuses.

"Who else would it be?" She replied tersely. "Why're you here?"

Mirror Maiden shrugged. "I thought I'd stop by for a drink. Is this seat taken?"

"No, of course not," said Eula a little too quickly. "Please, make yourself comfortable."

Mirror Maiden sat down opposite her. She eyed Eula's flushed face and her drink.

"You've been here long?"

"Maybe. I just wanted to get away from it all, you know?"

She downed her goblet.

As Mirror Maiden placed her order, the waiter shot her a suspicious glare. Nonetheless, he wrote down her order and went to the counter. Moments later, he returned with her drink. Slapping it on the table, the waiter scurried off to another customer.

Eula couldn't help sympathizing. "They don't like you either, huh?"

"I don't blame them."

"Well, they shouldn't hate you just cuz you're a Fatui," mumbled Eula. Her words slurred in her mouth. "You *hic* never asked to be born like that."

A wistful smile crossed the Mirror Maiden's face.

"You're wrong." she sighed. "Believe me, I deserve every bit of their hate."

"Why's that?"

Mirror Maiden turned her face from Eula down to her goblet.

"Time and time again, I made poor choices that hurt people." Her voice broke. After a moment, she gathered herself. "It's no exaggeration to say this world would be better off if I'd never been born."

"I don't think so," said Eula. Mirror Maiden looked up. "If you'd never been born, we wouldn't be having this conversation. That would be sad. For me at least."

Mirror Maiden smiled wanly. "Thank you, Eula. So, why do they dislike you?"

Eula sniffed. "I'm from the Lawrence Clan."

"Are you?" Mirror Maiden said with some interest. "I didn't know they still had descendants."

They both sipped their wine. As the alcohol hit her tongue, Eula briefly wondered how this Fatui knew about Mondstadt's history. Perhaps, she once lived in this nation.

Putting down their goblets, Eula dabbed a napkin to her lips.

Mirror Maiden let out a content sigh. "Dandelion Wine tastes the same as I remember."

"Yes," said Eula. "Somethings never change around here. The wine's always good, the windmills always spin, and the Lawrences are hated. Sins of the Father."

"It's unfortunate," said Mirror Maiden. "I suppose we all have to make amends somehow."

"And we have to find where we belong," said Eula. "Or, we make ourselves a place we can belong. Sins of the Father be damned."

"Sins of the father be damned," repeated Mirror Maiden.

They clinked their goblets, toasting to their commiseration. Then, they both drank until they were so drunk Amber and Katarina had to fetch them.
