The Fatui officers recognized Katarina as she came up the slope. By her side, Yelan used the Lumenstone to light their path.
Katarina raised her hand in greeting. The officer acknowledged and returned the gesture.
"Hello," she said. "My friend and I would like to ask you some questions. We're looking for someone."
The Pyro gunner scowled. "I can't answer anything that would compromise our operations."
"Don't worry," said Katarina. "She's not here to bother you."
The Pyro gunner glanced at Yelan with a hint of hostility. She crossed over and showed him a photograph.
"Seen this girl?"
He shook his head. The other Fatui examined the photo before they too said that they'd never seen her.
"Just keep an eye out for her," said Yelan.
The pair descended the wooden steps and ventured deeper into the recesses of the Chasm.
Yelan sighed. "She's been gone this long; I doubt we'll find her."
"But we won't stop trying."
"No, we won't," replied Yelan. "Aether shouldn't have to give up on another friend."
