Ei had been training Kachina all morning, running her through polearm techniques when they paused for a break. Not far off, Aloy shot Hilichurl practice targets from a distance. She hit bullseye after bullseye without breaking a sweat.

"Whoa," said Kachina. "Miss Aloy is good with a bow."

"Indeed," said Ei. "She's a fine archer, a remarkable one amongst those I've encountered all my years."

"Wow. That's high praise coming from you. So, who's the best archer you've ever seen?"

"The best?" Raiden Ei snorted. "It would be wrong to think in terms of 'the best.' Each archer excels at a different aspect of archery."

"What do you mean?"

"Ganyu's archery focuses on powerful shots that can affect hordes of enemies. Compare that to Yoimiya. She specializes in the quick shot to mow down a single powerful opponent. Both styles have their merits and drawbacks. Both styles will prove most advantageous when deployed in the appropriate situation. So, to me, there is no 'best archer,' only the most suitable. The most suitable archery merely depends on the opponent you face."

"Oh, I see."

"The same goes for you, Kachina," said Ei. "Your polearm technique is unique to you. Once you understand and hone your strengths, you'll be a force beyond reckoning."

"Yes, ma'am!"
