UNSC Infinity

The Imps, Kratos, and the Slayer were shown around the ship by Thel, before finally arriving in their living quarters. The Imps were given a bunk bed for Blitzø and Loona alongside a large bed for Millie and Moxxie. The Slayer had his own room, and he simply sat on the bed, hunched over clenching his fists together.

Blitzø said to Millie and Moxxie said, "Well you two lovebirds get acquainted with the sheets. I'm gonna go mingle in the cafeteria."

Blitzø walked out leaving Millie and Moxxie to sit and contemplate the weight of this insane new reality they now live in.

Moxxie dropped his bags on the bed. Dropping himself on the bed, he let out a sigh. Millie dropped herself next to him on the bed. Millie smiled and said, "Soooooo...whatcha thinking about?"

Moxxie scoffed and said, "What am I not thinking about? A day ago we were just doing business as usual. A day later, we're on a cosmic odyssey. I mean, who would've thought a few imps from the bottom tiers of hell would be a part of something like...this?!"

Millie said, "It's crazy ain't it? But in like a fun way."

Moxxie said, "I guess. And if we are about to face a universe conquering army of monsters, I wouldn't face it with anyone but you."

Millie smiled and said, "Well, it won't be just us. How's about we go introduce ourselves?"

Moxxie smiled as well and nodded.

UNSC Infinity

Cafeteria

Many colorful characters were eating specially prepared meals. The cafeteria was a dense network of rows of tables, flanked by long metallic benches, filled with these individuals. The back of the cafeteria was a kitchen, with a window where trays were left filled with food. Inside the kitchen was a man in a black suit and blond finely combed hair covering his eye. He had a single eyebrow sticking out styled into a curl and some blond stubble and facial hair. He turned around from his stove, where he cooked all manner of meats, seeing the imps through the window. He said, "Oh you must be the new recruits! I'm Sanji. And who is the pretty little demonette?"

Moxxie eyed Sanji and flatly said, "That would be my wife."

Sanji's smile dropped slightly as he said, "So what're you fine folks having?"

Elsewhere, Kratos was seated with Atreus, eating stew brewed with steak and vegetables with Mimir on the table.

Kratos said, "He is a fine cook, that one."

Atreus said, "I want to go back for thirds, it's so good."

Kratos said, "Take care not to overindulge. An overfilled stomach can be a physical distraction in combat."

Atreus nodded and said, "Yes sir." He then turned to Mimir and said, "So Mimir. Did you think about Freya's suggestion?"

Mimir smiled and said, "I have lad."

Kratos said, "What was the suggestion?"

Mimir said, "Freya indicated I would be invaluable as part of the council that leads this crew. She took me to see one of them already. I'm guessing 'm in."

Kratos asked, "And what of Freya?"

Mimir said, "I'm not sure. Those in the council typically don't see combat except in extreme cases. I take it she wishes to be more in the field."

Kratos said, "Understandable. I am not entirely certain what the end goal ultimately is."

Atreus said, "From what I understand, Oryx is too strong to fight right now. If he's anything like Crota, I believe it. So we're just protecting and preserving what we can. While still finding a way to finally weaken and beat Oryx."

Kratos said, "We will sharpen ourselves until then."

The spiky haired saiyan Goku sat down with a smile next to them. Atreus was a little put off by his sudden appearance, but remained cordial nonetheless. He said, "Uh hi...Goku, right?"

Goku nodded and said, "Yep. You talked about 'sharpening yourself'? I can be your sparring partner!"

Kratos grunted and said, "I am honored. Is there a place for us to spar?"

Goku said, "There's a couple of rooms on the ship, reinforced to take the punishment."

Kratos nodded and turned to Atreus saying, "Will you train with us, Atreus?"

Atreus said, "It would be good to relearn how to fight together."

Goku's face widened into a delighted smile.

Training Room 3

Goku bounced excitedly, arms and shoulders loose as Kratos and Atreus readied side by side.

Atreus asked, "Are you sure it's alright if we use our weapons?"

Goku said, "There's no point in training if we're not using everything we've got."

He leaned down, one hand angled forward and low and the other angled back and high.

Goku then said, "Ready."

Kratos brandished the blades of chaos and jumped up slamming them forward and into the ground. A stream of fire erupted around them as Goku jumped away. With a burst of incredible speed, Goku closed the distance. Kratos engaged his shield, blocking the punch as the blades retracted, chains rewrapping around his arms. Goku began a furious barrage of blows. It was everything Kratos could do to block and avoid each blow.

Atreus yelled out, "Skjalfa!" and an arrow flew between the two of them, exploding into a blast of sonic energy. Goku was distorted long enough for Kratos to draw his spear. He threw one which Goku caught, and drew another to slam into the ground, causing the first one to explode near Goku and staggering him further.

Kratos and Atreus charged, Kratos swinging a hook from Goku's right and Atreus jumping to deliver a kick from his left. Goku smiled as he threw both hands out, catching Kratos' punch and Atreus' kick in one move. He threw them both back. Goku said, "Not a bad start!"

Kratos drew his axe and swung at Goku who effortlessly dodged each swing. He deflected one swing with only his arm, sending it hurtling out of Kratos' hands. Kratos didn't miss a beat before resuming hand to hand combat. Atreus followed suit, swinging his bow and focusing on kicks. Goku blocked each of their attacks using only his hands, finally catching Atreus' bow and Kratos' punch.

Goku smiled and said, "Alright guys, I think that wraps it up."

Kratos and Atreus were exhausted from the spar while Goku had barely broken a sweat.

Atreus said, "How the hell did he do that?"

Goku said, "You guys are pretty good at this! If you ever wanna keep training you know where to find me!"

Goku left the training room leaving an exhausted Kratos and Atreus to share a laugh (or the closest Kratos could manage). Atreus said, "We're gonna surpass that guy one day, right?"

Kratos said, "Let us keep our goals manageable. Start with being able to land a blow."

Council Room

Connie called the meeting to order. She said, "Before we discuss Oryx and company, I wanted to welcome our newest member, Mimir."

Mimir's head was placed on the table next to Thel and Iida. Mimir said, "Lovely to meet everybody."

Thel said, "Let us hope your body didn't contain all your strongest qualities."

Mimir said, "They call me the smartest man alive. Not the smartest 'complete body' alive."

Connie said, "So, Goku, how did Kratos and Atreus fare in your sparring match?"

Goku said, "I can tell Kratos is probably holding a lot back. His self control is seriously impressive. But he and Atreus fight well together."

Zoro said, "As for the rest of our new friends, they know a thing or two about combat. Something about the big green guy though is a bit unsettling."

Aang said, "I feel it too. It's like there's nothing but rage in there."

Thel said, "Then we will keep him on a tight leash."

Mimir said, "If I may, I know a story of a rage filled warrior who slaughtered all those who attempted to control him. Kratos seems to be keeping him in check. The most we'll need is to keep an eye on him. That's all."

John-117 spoke up and said, "Now on to the matter of the Hive."

Mimir said, "The mission to send Crota to Helheim was a success. His wife Omnigul has withdrawn her forces from Midgard. But she's still out there somewhere."

Iida said, "Strictly speaking they all are but Omnigul is at least the one we can deal the most conveniently assuming she's still nearby."

Mimir said, "It's hard to imagine what she'd even be searching for now. Her one job was acquiring Luz and Anne for Oryx alongside Crota. Now that's ended..."

Zoro said, "She's a powerful witch, but even she needs protection. My guess is she's gonna work at collecting soldiers to worm her way into Oryx's good graces."

Mimir said, "I'm not sure she'd even need to do that. She still has one of their friends. Sasha, I believe her name is."

Yaoyorozu asked, "What would he want with her?"

Mimir said, "She landed a strike on Omnigul. She found that level of precision and skill of particular interest."

Katara said, "You guys don't think she'll go after Anne's world with Oryx's blessing, do you?"

Thel said, "Unlikely. If any of those in her world contain even a fraction of her power, Omnigul's crippled forces will be severely outmatched."

Garnet said, "We may just have to take a reactive approach for now. There's too much we don't know to be able to predict her movements."

Luffy said, "Can't you just see the future with your future vision, Garnet?"

Mimir said, "Beg pardon? You can see the future?"

Garnet said, "I've told you before, Luffy. I can see possible futures. That doesn't mean I know where each one will lead."

John said, "I agree with Garnet let's..."

The room flashed red as an alert sounded.

"...wait until she makes her move."

An autotuned, ever so slightly sardonic voice sounded. "Warning. Omnigul's energy signature was spotted orbiting planet designate Earth 789101-01. Initial readings indicate small clusters of psionic waveforms amongst traditional civilian cities and settlements."

Mimir said, "Who is that?"

Connie said, "We call her Interra. She's the Infinity's AI. Think of her as the soul of the ship."

John said, "Is Omnigul attacking?"

Interra said, "Negative. Though she's made landfall her energy levels are being kept to a minimum."

Zoro said, "She's hiding out there."

Connie said, "This could be a good opportunity to capture her. I say we send the Phantom Thieves."

Pearl said, "I second that."

Mimir said, "Phantom Thieves?"

Yaoyorozu said, "The Phantom Thieves are teenagers, able to travel to a realm connected to the human subconscious. At least they were able to. They were instrumental in stopping the Imperator, but after the merger that power was gone."

John said, "We offered to take them home but they wanted to stay and help out around here. Plus, having normal humans as spies helps with situations like this."

Katara, "They can find the fighters of this world and warn them without alerting Omnigul, allowing them to fight back when she makes her move, and giving us the opening to capture her."

Goku said, "Are you sure I can't go down there and just fight her myself?"

Mimir said, "I'd advise patience on this one, lad. There's innocent people all around her. If we make a move too big, who knows what she could try with them."

Goku sighed and said, "Yeah I guess."

Thel said, "You will have your chance. For now, I will gather the Thieves."
