Chapter 15: Choosing A Warrior
When the sun revealed itself from behind the cover of the clouds, it is morning. All the blue macaw clan woke up and ready to start the day.
Today is the day for Eduardo to pick who will be the chosen warriors of the Amazon Rainforest incase their home was ever attacked and they were forced to act in self-defense.
The twelve blue macaws who volunteer to be warriors. Blu and Banjo are there also. Eduardo is shocked that his son-in-law Blu and his nephew Banjo volunteer to be warriors. Roberto as his second second-in-command. Jewel, Mimi, the three blue macaw kids, Grace, Susan, Jenny, and the four blue macaw kids. Eduardo is about to tell the twelve blue macaws about being warriors.
"Who wants to be a warrior?" Eduardo asked the twelve blue macaws.
"I do Eduardo." Valentino said.
"Good. Listen up you twelve of blue macaws. Being a warrior is not easy." Eduardo informed them. "As warriors you will be tasked with important tasks which means to make sure everyone is safe in our tribe, you will be fighting enemies, you got to make sure your home is safe, and you are willing to protect your tribe. If anyone here cannot accept responsibilities. Tell me now."
The twelve blue macaws are silenced. Blu and Banjo are nervous about being warriors. They have to do this since both of them are now leaders of the blue macaws. Eduardo got his staff. "Last thing warriors don't let failure stop them." Eduardo got his staff and pick Blu.
"Me Eduardo." Blu said nervously.
"Yes you Blu. You are going to demonstrate for us." Eduardo said.
"Okay." Blu said.
"Alright twelve macaws. Watch closely. If I was a bad guy and I will say Blu, the Amazon is mine and I will rule it." Eduardo said as he was pretending to be a bad guy.
"Oh no you are not. I will save the Amazon and everyone I love. You will be defeated." Blu said in faced Eduardo and did his karate moves against his father-in-law. He is pretending to hold an object like a weapon. Eduardo back up and he fight back his son-in-law. Blu defeated Eduardo by doing the roundhouse kick.
"See that's how being a warrior is. Does anyone have questions?" Eduardo asked the twelve macaws.
"No questions. Now let's get to work." Eduardo said.
"Good luck Blu. Taking responsibilities is alot of work. I don't think you are ready to become a warrior." Jewel said.
"I will do fine Jewel. I promise." Blu said.
"Okay." Jewel said.
"Good luck dad." Bia, Carla, and Tiago said. Jewel and the kids hug him. Blu hugs them back. Mimi hugs Blu and Blu hugs her back."Good luck Blu, I know you can do this." Mimi said.
"Good luck Banjo. Banjo I just wish you wasn't the leader of the blue macaws and being a warrior. I don't think you are ready for this challenge." Grace said.
"Grace there is nothing to worry about. I am ready for this step." Banjo said.
"If you say so. Stay focused." Grace said.
"Good luck dad." Belle, Crystal, Junior, and Max said. "Thanks guys." Banjo hugged his family and his family hugged him and Peter hugs Banjo. "Oh Banjo we wish you luck out there training to become a warrior." Susan said.
"Yeah be careful out there." Peter said. Jenny hugs Banjo. "Banjo you can do this. Listen carefully and focus." Jenny said.
"Don't worry Jenny, I got this." Banjo said.
"Blu and Banjo let's go." Eduardo said.
"Coming." Blu and Banjo said.
Blu and Banjo came along with Eduardo and the group of blue macaws who soon trained to become warriors. The first step of becoming a warrior is to be in shape and do a-lot of exercises.
"Okay the first exercise is to fly around the tree. Fly around the tree. Go." Eduardo said. The group of blue macaws fly around the tree with no resting. They fly around the tree 50 times.
"Good job everyone. The second exercise is do 100 push ups. When you are done with 100 push ups. Stand up straight. Go." Eduardo said. The group of blue macaws took their times to do push ups to get to 100. Some of the blue macaws are tired and Garth is out of breath. Blu and Banjo are up to 40.
"Come on guys give me 100 push ups. When you guys get to 100. You guys can have a water break afterwards. " Eduardo said.
"Okay Eduardo deal." Garth said.
The twelve blue macaws did 100 push ups.
"Okay you guys did 100 push ups. Good job. You guys can have water break." Eduardo said.
The group of blue macaws have a water break and drink water.
"Man those 100 push ups was alot." Garth said.
"Tell me about it." Fergus said.
"Yeah I thought I wasn't going to make it ." Geo said.
"That what exercising is." Blu said.
"After having water break. The next step we will do is how to defend your self?" Eduardo told the twelve birds. Eduardo came towards the group of soon-to-be-warriors. He began to explain the rules." If you fighting your enemies, you got to move faster. You got to train your body how to running, skipping rope, squats for the work, speed bag, shadowboxing, push-ups for the -ups and crunches for the core. Now my friend Roberto is in charge now of you birds and he will teach you how to defend yourself. Listen to him carefully. Go ahead Roberto."
"Okay everyone, I will teach you guys how to defend yourself. In order to defend yourself you got to protect yourself, you got to use front kicks, side kicks, and round kicks." Roberto explained to soon to be warriors. "Okay guys. Pick a partner." Roberto ordered. All the group of blue macaws got partners.
"Okay guys you guys will do the front kick and side kick. Go." Roberto said. The group of blue macaws did front kick and side kick 50 times. Eduardo and Roberto is very impressed by them. They are doing front kick and side kick perfectly.
"Okay good job on the front kick and side kick. Now we will do roundhouse kick. Go." Roberto group of blue macaws did roundhouse kick. Eduardo and Roberto is very proud of them.
"Do you guys need water break?" Roberto asked.
"Yea Roberto. I need a water break." Garth said.
"Okay everyone. Get water and the next exercise we will do is setups." Roberto said. The group of blue macaws got water and drink a sip. They are in the tree and now they are ready doing 50 setups.
"Okay guys now we will do 50 setups. Ready set go." Roberto ordered. The group of blue macaws did 50 setups.
"Okay that was good." Roberto said.
Blu is caught in a trap while the group of blue macaws are watching.
"When you are alone in the jungle. You get caught in a." Eduardo stop so Blu can finished.
"Trap." Blu answered. Blu untie the rope which Eduardo is suprised.
"That how you get out of a trap." Eduardo said. "Good job Blu."
"Thank you Eduardo." Blu said.
"You're welcome." Eduardo said.
"Now the next exercise here is to fly all the way to that tree and come back and do it 10 times." Roberto ordered.
"Yeah but don't go nowhere else or you will not be a warrior." Eduardo warned them.
"Everybody ready and go." Roberto and Eduardo go. The group of blue macaws fly all the way to the tree and fly back. They did it 10 times.
"Now we will fly backwards." Roberto showed them how to fly backwards.
"I remember I taught Blu and Banjo how to fly backwards." Eduardo told Roberto. The group of blue macaws fly backwards 60 times.
"Now we will do under, over, under, over but don't land in the river. We are not going swimming." Eduardo said. The group of blue macaws did under, over, under, over, under, over, under, over by not landing in the river. Throughout the rest of the day until it was almost sunset, the group of blue macaws had done nothing but train all day. They are exhausted. Blu and Banjo are proud of themselves because they stayed the whole day with the group of blue macaws who is soon to become warriors.
Eduardo walk forward to the small group of blue macaws whom kept straight faces and stood still like a statue. He stopped in front of them and folded his wings together. "Gentleman, you all did a good job of today training tryouts. You all didn't quit, you guys did excercises, you guys follow mine and Roberto's instructions. I'm proud of you all and I'm happy that you all passed. Congratulations, you are now warriors."
The small group of blue macaws cheered in response and the blue macaw tribe clapped for the new warriors. The new warriors took a bow. Amongst the crowd, Blu was greeted by his family.
"I knew you could do it dad." Tiago cheered. "You are awesome."
"Dad I have faith in you. My calculations was correct." Bia said.
"Congratulations dad." Carla said.
Jewel was the last one to congratulate him. She pulled Blu into a hug. "I admitted Blu you are a good shape. I thought you wasn't ready to take responsibilities but you proved me wrong. I love you Blu."
Blu felt extremely touched by his family words. "Thank you Jewel, Bia, Carla, and Tiago." Blu thanked his family. "Everything I do in my life is to keep all of you safe from enemies. If the enemies come me and my warrior team will stop them together." Blu said and Jewel smiled.
"I got a surprise." Jewel said.
"What is the surprise?" Blu asked her. Jewel grab him and kiss him on the beak. Blu is shocked and he kiss her back.
"I agree with you Blu and the kiss was the surprise." Jewel agreed with Blu. Now Banjo is being congratulated by his family.
"Way to go dad. I am so proud of you." Max said.
"Yeah dad. You are the bird. I was so happy for you and Uncle Blu." Belle added.
"Congratulations dad. You will be the best warrior alongside with Blu and the group of blue macaws." Crystal said.
"I am so happy for you dad. You are now a warrior with Blu and the small group of blue macaws." Junior said.
Banjo was so touched by his family words and his family means alot to him. Grace was the last one to congratulate him.
"Congratulations Banjo, I am so proud of you. I know I said I wish you wasn't the leader of the blue macaws but you showed that you are a strong bird and ready to become a warrior. I love you Banjo."
Banjo was so touched by his family words and he knows his family means alot to him."Thank you Grace, Crystal, Belle, Junior, and Max. I am happy that I am a warrior with Blu and the group of blue macaws. That what I do. Me and my warrior team will protect our clan and the Amazon Rainforest from enemies and if danger come we will face it together. We will fight enemies together. I am a jungle warrior."
"That's my Banjo. You are a jungle bird. I am happy for you, Blu, and the group of blue macaws who are warriors." She closed her eyes and pucker her beak up to Banjo's beak. Banjo was a bit surprised. He saw his wife kissing him but he closed his eyes and returned the kiss to his loved one.
"Let's celebrate." Nico, Pedro, Lillian, Sofia, Rico, and Ricky said in a loudest tone.
"Yeah that what I like to hear. The party is on." Rafael said.
The members of the blue macaw clans took flight and get themselves prepared for their song. The male blue macaws put on their red face paint and the female blue macaws put on their yellow face paint. Bia, Carla, Tiago, Belle, Crystal, Junior, and Max's love interests Nightfly, Tomada Junior, Lisa, Nate, Clive, Mary, and Bridget decides to join the fun. Nightfly, Nate, and Clive put on red face paint. Tomada Junior decides not to put face paint on himself. Mary and Lisa didn't put on red face paint because they are already red. Bridget put on yellow face paint on her face.
Blu flew beside his beloved mate and placed a pink orchid at the side of her head. "Ready Jewel?"
"Ready Blu." Jewel agreed as she leaned to the side and pecked the side of his beak. "Let's go."
Banjo flew to his beautiful mate and placed a yellow orchid at the side of her head.
"Ready to dance with me Grace?" Banjo asked his mate.
"Yes I am ready to dance with you husband." Grace said.
Once the rhythm got off to a good beat, the blue macaws sang together in chorus whilst flying together in groups to make patterns and shapes.

"Open your wings; fly when you hear the call!" Blu and Banjo sang while flying with their family in the center of blue macaws.
"Let's celebrate, for we are beautiful creatures!" Jewel and Grace sang along with them.
"Come spread your wings, dance and sing songs about freedom!" Tiago, Bia, Carla, Max, Belle, Crystal, Junior, Tomada Junior, Nightfly, Lisa, Nate, Clive, Bridget, and Mary sang together as one.
"Like lah, lah, lah hoo ho!" Nico cheered alongside with Rafael, Eva, Tony, Lola, Lillian, Pedro, Sofia, Rico, Ricky, Fluffy, Paradise, Angel, and Bob.
"One for the jungle família!" Pedro whooped.
"Like bah bah bah boo boo
Calling the beautiful creatures!" Lillian sang.
"Come this way celebrate!" Mimi and Jenny sang as she flew around the area.
"Laugh and dance all the way!" Roberto and Garth added from nearby where they were dancing with some of their friends.

Blu smiled and he took Jewel's wing and danced with her in circles with their family and friends flying besides them. The two smiled at each other, touch each other beaks, and continue their show off their dance moves to the rest of the blue macaws.
Life in the Amazon is so perfect.
A few weeks back Blu and Banjo seems more comfortable of living in the Amazon but the brothers have saved their tribe lives from the loggers and today they have proven themselves to becoming a warrior.They had family and friends that care about them. The brothers cared for their family. They are so happy to be with their own species in the Amazon. The Amazon was a place to call home.
Clive, Nate, Bridget, Mary, Nightfly, Tomada Junior, and Lisa joined in, taking the wings of their love interests and swinging to the middle of the circle.
