Chapter 134: Snake Eyes

Naruto, Fuu, Millie, Loona, and Blitz got in the car.
"Stay safe." Verosika encouraged, worry on her face. "The Snake Mafia is known to be backstabbers…"
"And take care of your mother." Moxxie stated as he held Andromeda.
"I will." Naruto replied, before Millie pushed him aside.
"I can take care of myself, Mox!" Millie stated with a huff.
Moxxie nodded, his concern not leaving as his family left.
"I am sure they will be safe." Verosika told her father-In-Law.
"Me too." Moxxie replied, choosing to put his faith in his wife, son, Daughter-In-Law, and Blitz.
Car…
Naruto felt squeamish as Millie drove the car, with Blitz looking at his phone with directions given to Naruto courtesy of Katsuyu.
Like his meeting with Gamakichi and Katsuyu, Naruto was wearing his Overlord attire, Nuada sword and Tessaiga propped against the door.
Millie and Blitz wore sunglasses and tuxedos, their weapons beside them.
Fuu wore the same short sleeveless white midriff shirt with fishnet armor underneath, long white armlets, and fishnet shorts with a short white apron skirt, BUT with the addition of a small red pouch at her hip.
Loona, on the other hand, wore a purple halter top dress with a vine pattern embroidered along the skirt (which was cut short) along with her usual black leggings. Wrapped around her waist was her Claw of Hades. Her hair let down as she wore some light eye make up and deep blue-purple lipstick.
JUST because it was a meeting with a mob boss didn't mean Loona was gonna dress like a bum.
'Well, Verosika went all out last time, so I guess it's fine.' Naruto thought, thinking about the outfit Verosika wore to the meeting with Gamakichi and Katsuyu.
Flashback…
Verosika wore a business suit with a skirt. She had white leggings on and even wore glasses. Her hair was up, similar to Bayonetta's.
Flashback End…
Naruto smiled, leaning into the door slightly as he looked at everyone.
"Hm… what's with the bag?" Naruto asked Fuu, having taken notice of it.
"Oh, this?" Fuu said mischievously as she tapped it. "Shino gave it to me yesterday. He gave me some insects that can devour magic, but they are dangerous and most likely won't listen to me since they are a part of his 'Hive'. He stated they are only to be used as a last resort."
"The fact he has insects in his body truly blows my mind." Naruto mumbled.
"Kinda weird you wanna fuck a guy like that." Blitz stated as he drank a Red Bull.
Fuu kicked him in the head.
"Fuck you, Dildo!" Fuu stated, not allowing such an insult to her boyfriend to pass.
"When is the wedding?" Moxxie asked as she changed subjects, as she was the one driving.
Fuu's face went red, she clasped her cheeks.
"W-w-wedding?" She asked, steam emitting from her face.
'Good, she calmed down.' Naruto thought with a deep breath.
He felt Loona take his hand, and he gripped it, feeling a wave of ease and comfort flood his being.
'It's going to be alright.' Naruto thought, trying to be positive. 'If we can get the Snake Mafia on our side, we can take down a marquis, save Bunta and Tamamo!'
Loona, seeing the shift in Naruto's attitude, smiled as Millie continued to drive to Wrath Ring.
Sloth Ring, Belphegor Hospital…
Once again, Kurama was going through her physical therapy.
She had her bandages removed, wearing a hospital gown.
The flesh on her face, neck, shoulder, the entirety of her left arm, part of her torso/back, upper left thigh to her left ankle was covered in scar tissue like Darth Vader.
Her face, which had its left cheek burned away like Harvey 'Two-Face' Dent, had been sealed with synthetic skin.
Her left eye was healing, her vision was still blurry, slowly coming back day by day.
HOWEVER…
The burned hair on the left side of her head, left ear, and four of her nine tails was slowly coming back in, currently two centimeters in length, compared to the shoulder length hair on the right side of her head/ear and the four tails that got burned.
Kurama, once again, was in the physical therapy room, but this time, she was between the parallel bars, hands on each one.
Though her left grip was MUCH weaker than her right.
"Okay, your majesty, one at a time." The therapist encouraged as Kurama made small movements forward, her face grimacing in pain from her body.
'Just you wait…' Kurama thought as she continued moving. 'I'll find whoever did this… I will rain down every agony, every violation imaginable, upon you... I will parade your cold body from every corner of every Ring, and feed your soul to the vilest filth in Here, that is my promise!'
Meanwhile, the therapist praised Kurama for her progress, completely (Or obliviously) to all the hatred oozing from Kurama.
Lust Ring, Fox's Den…
Karen's hair once again stood on end, as a chilling sensation ran up her spine.
A familiar feeling she had whenever Kurama did or said something that was concerning.
Specifically, to Karen herself or Tamamo.
Karen shook it off.
'I can't get jittery now, we've come to far to run away with our tails between our legs.' Karen thought as she continued her work.
Noon, Wrath Ring…
The Snake Mafia HQ… was a casino.
Ryūchi Cavern.
It was a decent sized building, three stories high. The esthetic was that perfect for reptilian demons of all kinds.
It was warm for cold blooded creatures with shaded areas for all.
The first floor was the foyer, a small restaurant, a lounge, and a bar.
The second floor was the standard casino affair.
Cards, slots, and bets (races to sports to insect fights).
The third floor was restricted to customers, only the 'Familia' was allowed.
Along with those… special guests.
All workers were members of the snake mafia, all varieties of snake demons were present.
The area had the aura of danger which attracted non-reptilian demons to it.
However, today, the staff was keeping an eye out for a handful of special guests.
VERY special guests.
One of the foyer workers saw a car, specifically a Hell-mer, pull up in the parking lot.
'Odd… not every day you see a military grade vehicle here.' They thought as the car parked.
One door opened, Fuu stepping out.
She stepped aside, offering her hand to Naruto, who stepped out.
The worker's eyes narrowed.
'Blonde hair, metal hand, two swords…' He thought, nodding before reaching up to his headset. "This is the front door; our guests have arrived."
Naruto helped Loona step out of the car as Millie and Blitz got out, standing around Naruto and Loona.
They took formation with Fuu.
Millie and Blitz in the front, walking before them, and Fuu behind them, making a triangle.
Naruto walked beside Loona, arms linked as they walked.
Guests saw this and whispers among them echoed through the first floor as Naruto approached the worker.
"Excuse me, but I believe we are expected by Manda." Naruto stated confidently.
"Of course, sir." The worker said with a bow. "Follow me, don't stray, or…" His eyes narrowed slightly. "You might get lost."
He slithered away, followed closely by Naruto and Company.
Naruto could feel his nerves coil in his guts as he felt the gazes of all demons around him.
They were looking at him, whispers making his ears twitch.
"Metal hand?"
"Blonde hair?"
"The Stray Dog?"
"That can't be him. Why would he come to this place?"
"Maybe he has a feud with Manda?"
"Maybe…"
"That would be disastrous."
An aura of worry began to hang around Naruto.
Flashback…
Evening, Greed Ring, Mt. Myōboku…
"You want to get help with the Snake Mafia?" Katsuyu asked Naruto.
She and Naruto were off to the side.
Meanwhile, Moxxie, Millie, Verosika, Fuu, Gamaken, Gamakichi, and Gamatatsu were partying with the other toads.
"Yes, I was informed that the three of you would be the best help." Naruto replied, worried he may have said something wrong from how shocked and surprised Katsuyu sounded.
Katsuyu cupped her chin, a look of concern on her face.
"Well, Manda IS an old comrade of mine and Gamabunta's back when we were younger, but…" She rocked her drink back and forth between her hands. "He isn't the nicest demon. I mean, he has his moments… but…"
"I see. Thank you." Naruto thanked. "Is it possible to set up a meeting, and soon?"
Katsuyu nodded.
"Yes, I can pull some strings, maybe some favors, but you need to be cautious."
"I know, I was told the snakes are backstabbing cocksuckers and I need to be on my toes."
"Yes, but Manda is different."
Naruto quirked an eyebrow.
"How so?"
"He always demands great compensation for his services." Katsuyu warned. "It is never the same. Sometimes, its women. Sometimes, its money. Sometimes, it is food… I don't know what he will demand from you, so just be prepared for any price tag he offers."
Naruto nodded.
"Again, thank you, Katsuyu." Naruto said as he stood up. "You have my number, give me a call when it is all set up, please."
"As you wish." Katsuyu replied.
Naruto walked to his family, joining in the merriment.
Flashback End…
Naruto shuddered.
Knowing that Manda would most likely not be as willing to listen, and possibly violent or traitorous.
It made his nerves and organs knot and tighten, squeezing and pumping worry into his body despite him not visibly showing it.
Fuu and Millie could see this, but chose not to act on their concern.
Loona could feel it without even looking at her husband.
Blitz wasn't paying attention, his trust was well placed in his son-in-law, so he was keeping eyes out on any and ALL who he deemed a possible problem.
The group was led to an elevator that rose to the third floor.
The elevator ride was very quiet, only the shitty ambient music from the elevator speakers filling the silence as they moved two stories, everyone feeling the elevator stop.

The elevator door opened, revealing a dimly lit room.

Heavy smoke and moisture filled the room as all the people, male and female, were snake demons.
Various kinds of serpentine variants of suits and dresses of what Naruto would describe as 'Italian Mafia' style were prominent with thick cigars, cigarettes, and alcohol.
Small tables were scattered around.
Many were surveillance, with security workers wearing headsets.
They walked past these tables, and saw more were set up.
Poker.
Black Jack.
Texas Hold em.
Craps.
But the air of danger around these tables… was thicker than the second floor.
Where money and chips were bet, Naruto saw blood, fangs, and fingers.
'I guess this is where the more hard-core gamblers or family come to bet.' Naruto thought as his throat began to feel swollen.
He chose to ignore them, the looks he was getting, and tightened his grip on Loona's arm.
Their guide let them through toward what appeared to be an office, in the back, secluded from the tables and workers.
"Wait right here, please." Their guide said before he separated himself and entered the room.
Naruto's ears twitched as he could faintly hear someone ask what and be given the response of 'guests arrived'.
The demon returned.
"Follow me." He said respectfully as he once again turned his back to the group.
Naruto, Loona, Fuu, Millie, and Blitz entered the room.

Manda's Office.
It was big.
A desk, that could easily double for a Poker table, stood in the middle.
The walls were dark, with no windows to let in any natural light.
Moisturizers and heaters were in the corners.
"Welcome, to my home."
Naruto attention was brought to Manda, who was tending to several pots of Dracaena Trifasciata, AKA, Snake Plants.
He was wearing a white button up shirt with a deep purple tie, his sleeves rolled up as he held a water can.
"Pardon me, you caught me in the middle of something." Manda said as he put the can down. "Aoda!"
Manda snapped his fingers.
Aoda, a young snake demon, appeared with a black pin stripe over coat in his hands.
Aoda is a large blue snake with light-green eyes, wearing a red suit as he held out the black coat to his boss.
Manda put the coat on before he made his way over to his desk.
"Thank you for waiting... Uh…"
"Apologies for the late introduction, I am the Stray Dog Overlord, Na…"
"Okay, Stray Dog…" Manda interrupted as he prepped a cigar. "An old acquaintance of mine called me and told me you'd be coming by."
Manda quirked an eyebrow seeing that Naruto and company were still standing.
"Aoda."
"Yes, sir." Aoda replied respectfully as he made a gesture.
Several more members of the Snake Mafia entered with chairs.
One even had fancy snacks.
"Please, sit, eat, drink, you are guests here." Manda said as he lit his cigar while everyone sat down. "So…"
Manda exhaled the smoke from his cigar.
"What are you here for?"
Naruto shifted in his seat, his wrist grazing Tessaiga.

All the Familia in the room, minus Manda, pulled a firearm on Naruto, Loona, Fuu, Blitz, and Millie.
However, without hesitation, Blitz drew the Jackal and Casull, one pointed at Manda and the other at Aoda.
Millie had Leviathan drawn, its ice magic coating the blade.
Loona unwrapped the Claw of Hades, the chain slipping through her grip, the claw poised to take the head off of its first victim.
Fuu stood before Naruto, her back pincers exposed and ready to defend herself and Naruto.
"Easy, boys." Manda said, unable to hide his smirk. "We are all good…" He quirked an eye. "Right?"
"Right." Naruto responded.
The Mafia Members and Naruto's companions lowered their weapons, putting them away.
Manda reached into his desk.
He pulled out a sealed deck of cards.
The security seal wasn't broken or torn, showing that it hadn't been tampered with.
"Let's play a few rounds of Poker." Manda said as he tossed the sealed deck to Naruto, who caught it before scooting up to Manda's desk.
Naruto broke the seal, pulled the cards out, and then spread them across the desk.
"Joker's first…" Naruto stated as he looked at all the suits. "The cards are in order."
Manda chuckled as he pulled out some Poker chips, splitting them evenly between himself and Naruto.
"I'll deal, after all, I am the House." Manda joked sinisterly as he took the cards and began to shuffle them.
Naruto watched Manda shuffle the deck.
Once shuffled, Manda put it in front of Naruto.
"Cut the cards." Manda asked.
Naruto nodded and split the deck into three before cutting it.
Manda took the cards back.
"One for you."
Manda dealt a card to Naruto.
"One for me."
Manda to himself.
"One for you."
Manda dealt a card to Naruto.
"One for me."
Manda to himself.
"One for…"
*BANG*
A bullet lodged itself next to Manda's hand, making him stop dealing the cards.
"Blitz!" Millie exclaimed in surprise as said Imp held out the Jackal, smoke emitting from the barrel.

The Snake Mafia once again had their guns out, but this time, solely pointed at Blitz.
He didn't flinch.
"Look at his hands, the cards." Blitz stated as he kept his gun pointed at Manda.
Naruto looked at Manda… and saw the deck.
The card Manda was going to deal himself was not the card on the top.
But the card right underneath it.
"The Second Deal…" Naruto stated under his breath.
Manda couldn't help by smile as Naruto checked the cards Manda had.
Two ten's.
Naruto took the card Manda was about to deal.
A third ten.
"Shrewd fuck…" Naruto mumbled.
Fuu leaned toward Loona.
"What's the Second Deal?" She whispered.
"The Second Deal is a gambler technique." Loona whispered. "Common sense tells us that the dealer deals the cards in order, top to bottom, but the technique actually deals the second card from the top. It can be difficult to spot of the dealer is fast enough."
Manda laughed.
"Good eyes, Imp." Manda said as he took the cards he had dealt and re shuffled them. "Here, deal the cards."
Blitz didn't wait for any order, he holstered Jackal, the Snake Mafia lowering their weapons as he walked up, took the cards, expertly shuffled them once again, and dealt five cards to Manda and Naruto.
"We are here to ask for your help." Naruto told Manda as he smoked, purposely ignoring the offered food and liquor as he looked at his cards.
"Ah, yes," Manda said as he looked at his own. "You want my help with saving Gamabunta from the clutches of the Marquis called Kurama." He took two cards from his hand, put them on the table, Blitz dealt him two new cards. "I bet two chips."
"Well, then, that allows me to skip the explanation." Naruto said as he put three cards down, receiving three more. "Raise, four. Will you help us save your friend…"
"Friend?" Manda asked, hints of insult in his tone as he and Naruto showed their cards.
Naruto had a Three of a Kind: Nine.
Manda had two pair: Ace's and Seven's.
"Bunta isn't my friend." Manda replied as Naruto took the chips, having won.
Blitz dealt them new cards.
"But Katsuyu…" Naruto bet four chips.
"Katsuyu and Bunta were work associates, NOTHING more…" Manda stated with his tone becoming irritated at the end as he put four cards down, receiving four new cards. "If I had my way, I'd have killed that fat bastard myself a long time ago."
He raised Naruto six chips.
Naruto did his best to not show it on his face, but his own irritation began to increase as they showed their cards.
Manda had a Straight: 10, 9, 8, 7, 6.
Naruto had another Three of a Kind: Five.
"Well, then why did you agree to meet us today if you hate Bunta?" Naruto asked as Manda took the chips, being dealt new cards.
"Because I am willing to help, but not to save Bunta." Manda stated as he put all his cards down, getting five new cards. "I want Kurama's territory… her weapons… her women…"
A sinister grin etched across his lips as he looked over his cards into Naruto's face… only to be confused as Naruto had his arms crossed.
"Not going to check?" Manda asked, thinking it was a joke as he put ten chips forward.
"They will do." Naruto stated as he stared Manda in the eyes, putting twelve chips. "So, you'll help us?"
Manda continued to smirk.
"Yes, you have our backing, but your goal is to save Bunta, I'll take everything else. Women, weapons, territory, money. It will all be mine." Manda stated in a strict tone.
It showed he was not going to budge.
"All women..." Manda repeated, glancing at Millie, Loona, and Fuu.
Naruto laughed in Manda's face.
"You don't want these women." Naruto stated with a malicious grin, promising pain and suffering. "They are real bitches."
Loona, Fuu, and Millie DID NOT like the fact Naruto called them bitches, but saw what he was doing.
Manda sighed.
"Oh, well, I tried." He chuckled.
"Well… then I guess we have an agreement." Naruto said as he and Manda flipped their cards.
Manda had Straight Flush: Hearts: 10, 9, 8, 7, 6.
Naruto had a Royal Flush: Spades: Ace, King, Queen, Jack, 10.
Manda's eyes widened.
He had been watching Blitz very carefully.
His enhanced senses would have caught any cheating.
Manda chuckled… then began to laugh, standing up.
"Let's shake on it, partner… Stray Dog…"
Naruto took Manda's hand.
"The name is Naruto Uzumaki… and pleasure doing business with you, Manda." Naruto said sternly.
A written contract was written up.
Simple: The Snake Mafia shall help The Stray Dog, the Toad Yakuza, and Slug Cartel with killing Marquis Kurama, in exchange, ALL Money, Women, Weapons, and Territory will go to the Snake Mafia.
Naruto and Manda signed, shook hands, and Naruto and his group were escorted out.
Once alone, Manda sat at his desk, grabbing his phone, dialing a number.

My old laptop started glitching… so I had to get a new one.
Yes, Manda and the Snake Mafia joined the effort to kill Kurama, but who is this mysterious person Manda called at the end?
I was inspired by The Godfather and Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusader's: D'arby the Gambler if you couldn't tell.
Got some new art up on Deviantart, should HOPEFULLY have some newer art posted later today.
