Heeeellllllllllooooo
So I didn't really know what to write about, so I thought of random things and music popped up! I know before I was talking about music, and my profile has some of my fav songs on it, so I thought this was the perfect topic! The romance I could add was infinite XD
Hehehehehe
Also if you want to understand what they're doing, then listen to these songs, (it's some of the songs they were listening to). I described them as 'country' and 'big bass'. Here they are! (I REALLY suggest you listen to them, they're all clean and they're really good!) If you don't like them, shame on you!
JK! I'm sorry, it's fine if you don't like them!
Krewella - Alive (SKOT. Remix)
Myles Smith - Stargazing
Anyway I don't have anything else to add, except that you may check out my other stories (Currently I have a KOTLC the Great Spotching Championship in Keefes POV, that could've been a Sokeefe scene, except it wasn't well written, so I made it its own thing so I'd have more stories on my page. Also I have written a Bluey episode/story, bc I LOVE THAT SHOW!)
So if you have time check it out, plz, plz, plz do! Also for this scene look up what a pirouette is…Without further ADO I present this scene! :) / 0 ._. =) 0 (=) :}
"Thanks again for helping me, Keefe. I really appreciate it." Sophie said as she and Keefe walked up the pathway leading to Havenfeild.
"No problem Foster, I like being your knight in shining armor." Keefe said and pretended to wave around a sword.
Sophie rolled her eyes and wished he wasn't right. Keefe wasn't exactly her first option in helping her study for Midterms, but Dex was babysitting the triplets.
And Fitz was spending time with Alden.
And Biana was shopping in Atlantis with Linh.
And Grady and Edaline were busy giving Verdi a bath.
So he was literally her last hope if she wanted to pass Linguistics. Mimicking specifically.
"Don't you roll your eyes. I'm available all day, every day. You name it and I got it!" He patted his heart like he was symbolizing his loyalty.
"Not to mention that it's all he does have to do," Ro said from behind them. "He literally scrambled to his Imparter when you called."
Keefe glared at Ro.
Ro grinned in return.
They entered Havenfield and walked up the stairs to her room. When they got to her room, Keefe plopped on her bed and Sophie took a seat in her desk chair. She pulled out her Linguistics book, and sighed.
"What are you doing?" Keefe asked, pulled his legs up, and laid them on her bed criss-cross applesauce style.
"Ugh…Studying?" Sophie said.
"Uh, uh, uh, Foster. You can't study talking, if you're reading." Keefe walked up to her and took the book from her hands.
Ignoring her protests, he walked up to her bookcase and placed it on the highest shelf, just out of her reach.
"You can't learn everything from a book Foster. Plus, you asked for my help and you're going to get it!" Keefe smiled like he won a prize.
Sophie's sigh sounded more like a growl.
"There you go! You already mastered Ogrish," Keefe teased.
"HA!" Ro said. "If that was Ogrish, then I'm a sucker for sparkles."
"Guys, can we please just focus?" Sophie said.
"Do we have to?" Keefe whined.
Sophie gave him a look.
"Ugh, I guess we do," Keefe said. "You know something Foster, you should lighten up more."
"Maybe I'll start when I'm not worried the Council will kick me out of Foxfire."
"Come on, Foster, don't give up," Keefe said as Sophie face planted on her bed and screamed into her pillow.
"We've been practicing for hours, Keefe, and I didn't learn anything!" Sophie sat up and sighed.
Sophie moped for a few minutes before Keefe suddenly said something.
"What was that thing that always cheers you up?"
"Hugh?" Sophie said.
"You know, the little metal rectangle, with the little wires poking out of them." Keefe said.
Sophie gave him a blank look.
"You put them in your ears?" Keefe said.
"Oh, you mean my ipod?" Sophie asked.
"Yeah, that thing."
"I'm not listening to human music here…" Sophie said.
"Why not?" Keefe asked, looking around her room for it.
"Because, I don't need you to criticize one of the only things I loved about the Forbidden Cities." Sophie said and crossed her arms.
"I won't, I promise." Keefe said this with such sincerity that she blushed.
She suddenly felt embarrassed about showing him her choice in music. I wasn't like he'd ever heard anything in music other than wind chimes.
"Human music is a lot different than the music in the Lost Cities…" Sophie warned.
"So?" Keefe smirked. "I'm curious about the songs the Mysterious Miss F grew up to."
"Well…" Sophie stalled.
"Pretty please? With Mallowmelt on top?" Keefe begged and stuck out his bottom lip.
Sophie hesitated for a few more seconds before finally blurting out, "Fiiiiiiiiiiine,"
"Yes!" Keefe cheered.
"But you're not allowed to make fun of it," Sophie said before retrieving her ipod from her closet, inside the bag of human stuff she brought to the lost cities. She sighed as she zipped the bag closed. No one understood the pain she felt when she thought about her human family. Her annoying little tattle tale of a sister, whom she missed more than ever. Her caring mom, who always knew when it was time for an ice cream break. Her loving dad, who told embarrassing Dad Jokes at every turn.
She shut her eyes tight and ran out of her closet. She didn't look where she was going, and ran into Keefe's chest.
"Sorry," Sophie mumbled and walked past him to her bed.
"Hey, Foster?" Keefe said tentatively. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah," Sophie said. She sat down on her bed and put her head in her hands. She felt her mattress shift under her; probably Keefe sitting down next to her.
"Are you sure?" Keefe said. "If this is too hard for you, we don't have to do it…"
"No, it's fine," Sophie lifted her head and looked at Keefe. "I was just thinking about my human family."
"Oh," Keefe said.
"It's really fine, Keefe," Sophie said as Keefe started to get up. "I think this will actually be good for me. I keep my human life hidden, and I think it's starting to tear me apart."
She couldn't believe she told him that! She held her breath and looked at him to see how he'd react.
He looked at her with eyes that were full of determination.
"Then let's get this music going!" He said and smiled.
"Alright, you asked for it." Sophie said.
"Don't be so nervous Foster! I won't even understand what they are saying, English remember?" Keefe said.
"That won't stop you from asking." Sophie said and swiped her finger over the ipod screen, looking for a song.
"True," He laughed. Then his eyes opened wide, before narrowing evilly. "Also, be prepared to dance."
"Not on your life," Sophie said, not even looking up.
"Come on Blonde, if you dance, then our boy here would have to dance too! Then I could make fun of you both!" Ro said and clapped her hands together.
"Hard pass." Sophie said and selected a lofi song. She raised up the volume and set it on the bed between them.
"What kind of music is this?" Keefe asked.
Sophie groaned.
"You can't dance to it!" Keefe finished in outrage.
"I'm not dancing anyway, you witnessed my clumsiness first hand." Sophie said and picked up the ipod again.
Keefe snatched it from her with a smirk.
"You'll never pick a fun one, so leave it up to old Hunckyhair to decide."
Keefe picked a song that Sophie remembered getting into for a good long while. It had a big base and motivating chorus.
Sophie and Keefe nodded their heads in synch.
"This isn't bad Foster, I don't know what the fuss is about." Keefe said after the song ended.
"You really like it?" Sophie cautiously asked.
"Well, it's different, but when has that ever stopped me from trying something new?"
They both laughed, and Sophie gained the courage to put on another song.
"How about this one?" Sophie said. "It was my favorite song back ho–at my old house." Sophie corrected.
"You can have more than one home Foster," Keefe said.
"Such wisdom from a knucklehead." Sophie joked.
Keefe gasped in fake shock, "Oh, Foster, now you crossed the line."
Keefe stood up as a country song started playing, something about stargazing and never being strangers.
"Foster, you will dance with me!" Keefe declared.
"Smoooooth, Funckyhair," Ro said.
"Hey, no annoying Ogre Princesses allowed." Keefe stated.
"Ha! Like I'd stay around for all this Elvin mush and Human music!" Ro retorted with a smirk. But she did look a little hesitant as she walked out of the room to join Sandor.
"There. Now she's gone so you have no objections!" Keefe said. He grabbed both Sophie's hands and pulled her up with him.
"No, Keefe, there were other objections." Sophie protested as Keefe let go of her hands and started waving his in the air, windshield wiper style.
Sophie laughed, "You're crazy!"
"That's why you love me," Keefe said.
Not wanting to let Keefe down, Sophie swayed her body a little to the upbeat country song.
"Come on, more than that!" Keefe prompted
Sophie remembered at that moment, when she was a little girl, her human mom thought that it would be a good way to make friends if she signed her up for ballet; since all the other girls were doing it. It turns out that she was good at it…at least better than the other seven-year-olds. The memory was long buried until now, but she remembered one movement that she did at every turn.
Sophie stepped back from Keefe a few feet, and put her arm in front of her, in a loose semi-circle. Then she put the other high above her head, in which she stood on the very tip of her toes–thank you hard sturdy boots! Next she lifted her leg and made it touch the side of her knee.
"What are you doing Foster?"
"This."
Sophie twirled in a flawless movement that was, in no way, usual for her. She landed in a ballet position that was equally as incredible.
"Foster, that was amazing!" Keefe congratulated, and ran for a high five.
Sophie had a huge grin on her face.
That was about as graceful as she got though…
As she walked toward him, she tripped on her own feet and started falling. Sophie shrieked and felt strong arms catch her. But the force of her fall sent both her and Keefe tumbling to the floor at an alarming speed. Keefe held her closer as they fell, to protect her. Sophie fell on her back and Keefe fell on top of her, both of them screaming. At the last second, Keefe extended his arms out, so he didn't fall on top of her.
Moments passed.
They didn't know what to do.
Keefe's face was mere inches away from Sophie's; his hands on either side of her, trapping her from moving. Sophie's eyes were almost as wide as Keefe's, and they stared into each other's eyes with a mix of shock and uncertainty.
Sophie swallowed silently.
"K-keefe?"
"Yes, Foster?" Keefe said, and Sophie felt his gentle breath tickle her face.
"We should probably get back to studying…" Sophie finished, staring into his ice blue eyes.
Keefe shook his head as if coming out of a trance.
"Yeah, right." Keefe slowly lifted himself up, so he didn't hurt her. Once he stood up, he held out a hand to help her up. "Glad to see your back to your old clumsy self Foster."
Sophie accepted his hand with an eye roll, and Keefe pulled her up with a smirk.
That was WAAAAYYYY longer than I expected it to be…oh well, 'tis a labor of love! I wanted to make it seen like her human parents were still a part of her life (and love life *hehehe*) so that's why I added those little bits about them. Anyway, this was my longest FanFic yet!
