Heeeeeyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy everyone!
So I'm getting a lot of feedback on those AUs *Cheers behind your back so you don't see me geeking out* and I think I might go ahead with all of them! Obviously I'll do the Christmas one first (tis the season!) and I'll figure the rest out from there o ;) 8)
But first I wanted to write this scene 'secret person' suggested (I would've never thought of it :) it's soooooooo good!) I won't explain it here because there would be major spoilers!
Also did you know that book 9.5 has a bonus chapter of the Sokeefe kiss in Keefe's POV?!
P.S I had to get Sophie and Keefe alone from Gisela, so I'm sorry that the Dwarf excuse wasn't something she'd do. Oh well!
Hope you like it! :) :-0 XD
Sophie gave a relieved sigh as she finally relaxed after another one of her stressful days. She'd gone through more trust exercises with Fitz, which hadn't gone that well. Then had a big fight with Marella, in front of the whole school. And on top of that, Magnate Leto wasn't in his office during her entire lunch period, so she didn't get any updates about the Neerseen.
Sophie pulled her knees up to her chest and leaned more fully on the sturdy Panakes Tree. A song drifted in the breeze, the lyrics telling a tale of truth and letting things go.
"Foster? Are you okay?" A familiar blond haired elf with a knack for mischief asked.
"Yeah," Sophie said, whipping her eyes quickly so he didn't see her silent tears. "Yeah, I'm okay."
"Foster, how many times do I have to tell you that you can't lie to an empath?" Keefe said gently as he sat down beside her. "Do you…want to talk about it?"
Sophie shook her head. "Just another tough day."
"I know what you mean…"
"Really?"
"Yeah, that's why I came here. That and I knew you'd miss me!"
Sophie playfully shoved Keefe and he clutched his shoulder dramatically.
"I'm wounded! Call Elwin! Call Livvy!"
"Stop it Keefe!" Sophie giggled.
She loved it when he made her laugh…
What what?
Where did that thought come from?
She looked at Keefe and smiled, then leaned back on the Panakes tree. Keefe joined her and they looked at the sun, slowly fading into the distance.
The sky swirled in a stunning mixture of pink, blue and purple, stealing her breath away.
"It's beautiful isn't it?" Sophie asked Keefe.
"Yup, It sure is."
Out of the corner of her eye, she saw him, not looking at the stunning landscape in front of them, but at her.
Before she could think too much about what that meant, she heard a rustle of petals that had fallen from the Panakes tree. Sophie didn't worry, thinking it was Sandor, back from his evening patrol around the borders of Havenfield.
"Sophie and Keefe. Always a pleasure to see you." A voice said from behind her.
A voice straight out of her nightmares.
Lady Gisela was back.
Sophie grabbed a throwing star hidden in one of the many hidden pockets of the special tunic Flori made for her. She whipped around and extended ehr arm, ready to throw it at moments notice.
Gisela tisked and shook her finger at Sophie, like a parent would to a child who wouldn't eat their vegetables.
"That's no way to greet an old acquaintance."
"What do you want?" Sophie said as she slowly inched forward.
"I've come here for my son." Gisela said casually.
"Miss me?" Keefe smirked, standing to join Sophie with a throwing star of his own.
"Hardly. But I think it's time to cut to the chase and end this stalemate we've endured for the past years."
"I agree! We accept your surrender." Keefe said.
"Foolish boy. I have an army of dwarves beneath me, ready to do whatever I say." She smoothed her dress. "Be lucky I'm only after you, Keefe, and that I'm sparing the little Moonlark."
Keefe looked at Sophie with fear in his eyes.
"We can take on a few dwarves, Keefe, don't give up," Sophie pleaded.
Sophie looked at Gisela and saw the opportunity to strike. She raised her arm and…
"I wouldn't do that if I were you…" Gisela said in a melodic voice that reminded Sophie of Councillor Alina.
It immediately fell back to her side
WHAT'S HAPPENING
"What did you do?!" Keefe said as Sophie stood still and stared at Gisela like a statue.
"What I had to." Gisela replied.
"Sophie! Sophie!" Keefe grabbed her shoulders and shook her back and forth.
She wanted to do something, anything…but she couldn't because Gisela said not to.
Lady Gisela is a beguiler.
"Okay," Keefe said. "I'll come with you…"
"Good boy." Gisela said. "Sophie, I think you learned your lesson."
Her voice was oozing with compassion and authority that Sophie couldn't resist.
Suddenly…she could.
She gasped for air, as she fell free from Gisela's control.
"Now, don't go anywhere. I have to sort something out with the dwarves," Gisela said. "You know what happens if you try anything. Just in case though…"
Gisela closed her eyes and said to Keefe in a voice that was sickeningly sweet, "You'll wait for me won't you Keefe?"
Keefe nodded and became a statue, just like Sophie had been earlier.
As soon as Gisela disappeared into the ground, Sophie ran to Keefe.
"Keefe snap out of it! We have to escape while there's time!"
Keef didn't even so much as blink.
"Keefe…"
Sophie's eyes started to glisten.
"Keefe you have to resist!"
"Keefe, listen to me!"
"KEEFE?!"
He didn't respond to anything she said.
"You can't go…we need you!"
Sophie hugged him, and started to cry.
She lost track of how long she stayed there, clinging to Keefe.
"Keefe…don't leave me…" Sophie tried one last time.
She suddenly felt strong arms wrap around her, completing the hug.
She looked up, startled, to see Keef smiling at her.
"That's a whole lot of emotions you're hitting me with Foster."
"Keefe!"
Sophie tackled-hugged him.
"Ugh…Not that I don't love that the Great Foster Oblivion is coming to an end, but we should probably find Sandor." Keefe said.
Sophie mentally slapped herself.
"You're right, let's go. But we have a lot to talk about later…"
I hope you liked this scene!
Anyway, I don't really have anything else to say so…I'll skip the rambling and give you the review reacts already :)
YessBiana - I like seeing how things would've gone too! Hahaha, I guess that's why I started writing these scenes in the first place!
LittleWhiteL1es - Very funny. For all you people reading the reviews (especially my younger readers) you know this is fake right? I'm not trying to be mean, or cruel, but I just think it's kind of silly. I don't blame you 'LittleWhiteL1es' okay? Anyway, sorry this is so long, I'll go back to being my bubbly, optimistic self! XD 8-) ;p
Guest - Hahaha thanks so much! I didn't think being subtle would pass on the massage in 'Don't Deserve You'
Strawxbearie - Thanks for saying that! I really hope you guys continue to read my scenes, because I get SOOOOOOO happy when I see that I have more views, or comments (probably more than I should lol)
Anyway get ready, because the next scene is the Christmas AU, no matter what!
BBBBBBBBYYYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEE
