Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey
So I finally got this out to you guys! It took way longer to write than I thought it would…
*sigh*...writer's block am I right?
Hopefully it'll go away before it's time to write another Sokeefe scene!
Anyway this scene was requested by L'Oracle de Delphe, so thank you for the amazing idea!
And I'm really, really, really happy you guys keep giving me ideas for new scenes, because they're so fun to make!
Today is the day. Sophie promised herself as she looked at the various animals roaming the Havenfield pastures from her window. No exceptions.
Sophie had been putting off talking to Grady and Edaline for more than a few days…but she couldn't help if she was nervous! Today she was going to tell her adoptive parents that she was dating Keefe.
Keefe wanted to be there to tell them, but Sophie didn't think it would be a good idea given his relationship with Grady. And who knows what would happen if Grady went all overprotective dad mode.
Sophie shook her head before her imagination took over and headed downstairs for breakfast.
"Good morning Sophie!" Edaline greeted her with a hug and guided her toward the table.
"Morning Edaline." Sophie said with a smile. "Is that mallowmelt?"
"I made a fresh batch as soon as I woke up." Edaline confirmed.
Sophie immediately bolted to the plate of fresh gooey goodness.
Sophie heard Grady laugh as she stuffed a slide in her face. "Good morning to you too Sophie."
Sophie realised that she'd ran past Grady without noticing. He was seated across from her reading some scrolls.
"Hi Grady!" Sophie said through the mouthful of food.
"Make sure to save us some for us." Edaline said and sat down next to Sophie.
As Sophie ate her breakfast she became aware of the perfectness of the situation for what she was planning to tell them.
"Ug…Grady…Edaline…can I tell you something?" Sophie asked nervously.
The tone of her voice immediately caught they're full attention.
"Sure, what is it?" Grady asked.
"Um…you probably suspected this…so I hope you're not too surprised that I'm telling you this…" Sophie started off. "You know how since we defeated the Neverseen Keefe has been coming over a lot more often?"
"More than I'd like." Grady mumbled before he let out a startled yelp. Most likely from Edaline kicking him under the table…
"I know you're not a fan of him, Grady, but this concerns Keefe too…I need you to keep an open mind." Sophie pleaded.
Grady sighed. "It's not that I don't like him…"
"We'll keep an open mind Sophie." Edaline said for Grady. "Now what did you want to tell us?"
Sophie took a deep breath and opened her mouth.
Grady and Edaline leaned ever so closer with curiosity and anticipation.
But before Sophie could get a word out, in came Keefe Sencen.
"Hey Foster! Do you kno—is this a bad time?" Keefe asked after he took in the situation.
Sophie looked very nervous.
Grady glaring at him from across the room.
Edaline looked as if she just connected the pieces of what this whole talk was about.
Sophie didn't know if Keefe could've come at a worse time…but…she was really glad he was.
"No, it's probably better if you're here to tell them this with me." Sophie offered him her hand.
Keefe's eyes widened as he realized what she meant. He hesitated, looking at Grady before he walked toward her and accepting her extended hand.
"So as I was saying Keefe and I have something to tell you…" Sophie said.
She looked at Keefe, needing him to say it with her to give her support.
Keefe nodded.
"We're dating." They said together.
Edaline grinned and ran around the table to give them a Mama Bear sized hug. "I knew it!" Edaline said.
Sophie grinned and Keefe laughed.
Sophie knew Edaline would be the easier one to tell their news to…it was Grady she was worried about.
Sophie pulled away from Edaline and looked at Grady expectantly.
Grady looked deep in thought when Sophie asked him, "Are you okay with that?"
Grady sighed. "I want you to be happy. That is what I want the most. And…I know Keefe makes you happy. I've seen it first hand…but you can't blame me for being hesitant after what happened to Jolie and Brant…"
Sophie, Keefe, and Edaline all sucked in a breath.
How could Sophie forget that it was because Jolie and Brant weren't matchable, that Jolie ended up dead…
"It's okay Dad." Sophie said.
"Trust me, No one is messing with Foster on my watch." Keefe said with pure determination in his eyes.
Grady smiled. "I know."
Sophie felt tears in her eyes, and dashed to grady to give him a hug. Edaline quickly joined, and dragged Keefe with her.
Sophie never felt more at home right at that moment, in the arms of those she loved.
I hope you guys like this scene!
Have any of you read book 9.5? It's soooooooooo gooooooooood! I won't say anything because literally anything I say about the book is a spoiler and I'm not that mean…or am I?
*laughs maniacally*
But seriously.
MAJOR REVELATIONS!
Guest - awwwwwww thanks! I REALLY try hard to make these fanfics come to life! I'm sorry you guys were disappointed in the OG Sokeef kiss—but I'm happy you liked my version (even though it's hardly Shannon Messenger's work)
Guest - Hehehehehehe yup! That's what I love about fanfics! You can allow things to happen that they usually wouldn't in the original story! In this case, it was Sophie really being able to show her feelings!
fanokeefe - XD I'm lucky so many people like my scenes! Idk where I'd be without you guys! By the way I'm a 'fan 'O Keefe' too in case you can't tell.
secret person - You have? Well that's a relief! I was worried that no one would read my stories other than these Sokeefe scenes! Also…WHY DID I NOT THINK OF A LORD CASSIUS/SOKEEFE ENCOUNTER!
