Chapter 13: The Speedy Delivery Service

Yasuko was coming out of the tailors with the suit Elsa was giving to her. She feels a little bit tight, wearing something like a jumpsuit. She can't imagine how anyone can wear the jumpsuit for a Turbo Duel. The girl adjusts her collar and zips up her suit. Yet, she was not in a good mood. Why? Because she can't seem to get enough of the whole alternative universe concept for individuals. Especially with her partner.

"Okay, love, so let me try to process this again," said Elsa. Yasuko turns to the woman sitting on a chair with a cup of coffee. "You're saying you know her?"

"More or less," Yasuko answered.

"How many times do I have to tell you? I. Don't. Know. You!"

Yasuko and Elsa turned to the girl in front of them. Yasuko can't get enough of seeing more alternate universes because the girl standing right in front of her with her hands on her hips is exactly Zuzu Hiiragi. Yasuko can't forget the face so many times whenever she sees either Zuzu or Serena with her, but she's a whole other cake. The girl has shoulder-length aqua-green colored hair, a lock of hair sticking up over the head, and two light green side-tails. She has a pair of blue studded earrings and a black choker with a blue jewel that goes with her blue and white jacket with pink pads on the shoulders and elbows, pink shorts, and white and pink boots that reach up to her thighs with pink kneepads.

Her orange hazel eyes scowl at Yasuko, not knowing who she is or if she has any connections to her. "So, who the hell are you?" she asked.

Yasuko isn't sure how to respond to the girls who are supposed to be Zuzu and Serena. "Yasuko Yukihana," she introduced. "And…I assumed you are Rin?" She couldn't be that obvious since the girl who looked like Zuzu and Serena was the one Yugo mentioned.

"How'd you know who I am?" Rin inquired, pointing at Yasuko with suspicion.

"Let's just say…a mutual acquaintance of yours knows you," said Yasuko. She takes the green vest and puts it over her shoulder. As she buckles the vest, Yasuko starts to verify her job for Elsa. "All right, so let me run down what I'm delivering," she said.

"Blackmail package," said Elsa. "Some Tops woman on the east side wanted some blackmailing pictures of a client's affair." She picks through a box of envelopes she's kept in case of stuff like this. "She thinks that if she can get the husband's money in her pocket if she gets dirt on him, then she'll have some control of her business partner's company." She picks out the envelope and checks the contents inside.

"Wow, what a bitch," Yasuko commented. "How come Rin's coming with me?"

"Because she's the one who can access these files," Elsa replied. "I've placed the contents inside a special case that requires a fingerprint, which is her fingerprints. Can't have anyone peeking, now can't I?" She puts the contents in a case and then locks the device with a beep. "There." She picks up the case and hands it over to Rin. "Here you go, gal. Don't lose this."

Rin rolled her eyes. "I know," she said. She turned to Yasuko and said, "Just don't crash when I'm with you."

It was Yasuko's turn to roll her eyes in annoyance. Rin's like Serena, only she's more subtle than her. At least she's being respectful, unlike Serena. "Just don't get in my way of driving," she responded. "Now come on, let's get this going. We're burning daylight." And with that, Yasuko heads to the elevator. Rin adjusts the case strap and leaves to follow Yasuko.

"Good luck, gals," said Elsa. "Best of luck!"

The doors closed right there as soon as the girls entered the elevator. Now alone, Yasuko has to come clean with Rin because there is no way someone like her could ever escape from Academia. Yugo told her a while ago that Yuri kidnapped Rin, but she's in the elevator, doing illegal work for Elsa.

"Rin," Yasuko called. "Tell me, how'd you escape from Academia?"

Rin turns to the girl in surprise. "How'd you know about Academia?" she asked.

"Because Academia is my enemy," Yasuko replied. "And because Yugo was looking for you." She should've mentioned his name correctly because Rin was giving a raised eyebrow with confusion written on her face. "Sorry, Yugo was looking for you."

When the girl mentions Yugo, Rin turns entirely toward her in shock. She also didn't expect someone to know her childhood friend. "Wait! You know Yugo?!" she gasped, her mouth agape.

"Sort of," Yasuko responded, giving gestures. "I've met him once, and he told me about you, Rin." Before she knew it, Rin grabbed her shoulders to make Yasuko turn to her. Her eyes are full of anticipation.

"You have to tell me! Is Yugo okay!? Do you know where he is?! I have to find him! Is he still here in the city?!" Rin is pestering the girl with so many questions that Yasuko can't get a grip on the things she is saying. She grabs both arms and pulls the back away from her.

"Whoa! Whoa! Take it easy!" Yasuko exclaimed. "I said I only met Yugo once. I don't know where he is. He told me about you and how you were kidnapped by Academia." She adjusts the suit again. "We'll talk about this later, okay?" No matter how much Yasuko wanted to know about Rin's upbringing, her priority was to do the job and then bring Rin with her back to Marlene and Casey. Still, Yasuko can't help but wonder how Rin escaped from Academia and then crossed dimensions to get back here in the Synchro Dimension. There are now more questions Rin can answer when they have the time. For now, it's just Elsa's job.

As the elevator stops, the doors open, and the girl's exit exits out of the platform to stumble upon a chop shop. The shop is full of exotic cars, duel runners, and parts illegally imported from overseas. Yasuko can't imagine what kind of business Elsa runs with just the Red Keep club alone. She and Rin spot Blister and Kalin at a station where Yasuko's duel runner is supposed to be.

"Hey Kalin, Blister," said Yasuko. "I see that Elsa's making you work for a living, huh?"

Kalin rolled his eyes. "I do clean work now, though this is the only time I'm going to get in the dirt," he said. "Anyways, here's your duel runner." He taps on Yasuko's duel runner. As soon as Yasuko laid her eyes on the machine, her mouth dropped slightly to a gape.

The duel runner has been modified heavily from the visor at the front to the back of the wheel. The paint job was refurbished. The bladed wings have been streamlined to make it more aerodynamic when balanced, and the dual runner had an extra pair of fins at the side when forward swept. The white strips were removed and replaced with an emblem of a gold initial, "Y.Y.," on each end. Initially, anyone would've been impressed with the new design for their incredible duel runners, but Yasuko isn't one of them.

"Nice paint job," Yasuko commented out of the blue.

Blister had one eyebrow raised, amused. He was typing some program on the laptop connected to the duel runner. "And it gets even better," said Blister. "I've uploaded GPS software inside of your duel runner to let you know where you are going; the address is already implemented in this duel runner. Once you've completed your delivery, I'll have your documents ready and waiting."

Yasuko nodded. "Let's get to it," she said. Turning to Rin, she asked the Zuzu doppelgänger, "You ready to ride?"

"You know it," Rin replied.

Kalin hands both girls their helmets. Both have dark reflective shades—a precaution for canceling their identities.

"Don't get caught," Kalin cautioned.

"Yep," Elsa called. The woman comes to the duel runner. "If you girls get caught by security, the deal's off. I won't bail you out just because of a bad decision."

Yasuko adjusted her collar and wore the helmet, and Rin did the same thing. "You needn't worry about security," she assured. "Just be sure you all have what I need."

Kalin smirks at Yasuko's determination and pats her shoulder. "Atta girl," he said. "Good luck." And with that, Kalin waves off as he leaves the chop shop.

Yasuko hops on her duel runner, Rin following behind. The girl turns the duel runner on as the machine revs up a smooth engine sound. She can feel Rin gripping her back, adjusting herself to get comfortable. With everything set, Yasuko twists the stick.

Right out of the bat, the duel runner jerks forward, letting the girls flinch. Yasuko heads to the doors, and once she gets there, the doors crank up, opening the gate to the surface. Yasuko leads up and drives away into the streets.

The ride is still on for tonight, and by the time the girls are out, the sun is setting into an orange light. The time window was closing fast, and Yasuko couldn't wait for any second. She enters the highway and speeds up along the edges as fast as possible. Now that it is just Rin and her, Yasuko wants to know what happened to Rin.

"Hey, Rin," she called. "You didn't answer my question earlier. How'd you escape from Academia?"

Rin heard her voice and made a response. "Escaped?" she inquired. "I never escaped."

Yasuko's ears perked up with surprise. "What?" Glancing over her shoulder at Rin, Yasuko was sure Rin was lying, or she wasn't kidding. "You mean you never escaped? But how? Yugo told me you were kidnapped by someone who looks like him," she clarified.

"I was," Rin confirmed. "But after I got captured, dissidents started attacking, and they found me when I was being transported." She revealed more of her story.

Yasuko was suddenly stunned. Dissidents in Academia? How could they be? Are there others who disagree with them? Are they traitors? "Dissidents? I'm shocked. I never expected anyone from the Fusion Dimension to rebel against Academia," said Yasuko. "Are you sure?"

"Yes," Rin remarked. "I was freed from my prison by dissidents in Academia."

Yasuko couldn't believe what she was hearing. She had never expected other people to disagree with Academia's view on their Dimension War and may be sick of the fact they were causing so much suffering. This might be good news for her. Now she knows some people don't share the same sentiment as Serena claimed. They knew that uniting the dimensions into one world wasn't worth it if it meant to cause chaos and destruction. There is one thing in her mind about Rin.

"Okay, but how'd you come here? How'd you cross dimensions?" Yasuko questioned. "Surely, these dissidents haven't found a way to travel across dimensions or something, have they?" She had to wonder. Rin wasn't the kind of girl to escape from a school full of highly trained students who specialized in combat and cross dimensions back into the Synchro Dimension.

"I didn't," Rin revealed.

"What?"

"I came here by accident," said Rin. "It's weird because this thing glowed on me as soon as I broke out." Rin brings up her hand to show Yasuko something. What caught her attention was a thick, metallic bracelet on Rin's wrist. It has a slight green gem in the center of an ornate spiral design that rests over three stacked rings.

"That thing?" Yasuko inquired.

"It started glowing when I broke out of my prison," Rin explained. "And the next thing I knew, I came back home." She grips Yasuko's back again as she continues to explain. "When I came back, everything was weird because there were wanted posters of…well…Yugo and…another girl who looked like me. I came back here two weeks ago."

Yasuko is piecing together what Rin is telling her. She came back to the Synchro Dimension after being freed from Academia. It is not a coincidence that Rin came back across the dimension, but then Yasuko recalled something before. Rin said that her bracelet glowed when she was freed, but the exact time that happened was almost…around the same time, she teleported Zuzu and Yugo away.

"Can it be…?" Yasuko thought to herself. She can't help but thought of the moment she sent Zuzu and Yugo away. Zuzu's bracelet was glowing right during her duel with Yuri, and now Rin's bracelet was glowing before. She is digging more into this mystery than ever. Nonetheless, she can process what Rin told her for another time and wants to know more.

"So, how'd you end up working for someone like Elsa Padalecki?" Yasuko demanded.

"She caught me stealing some food," Rin divulged. "There was a reward for my capture, but that reward was already passed after someone who looked like me and Yugo were arrested. Elsa wasn't happy about losing that reward, so she made me work for her."

"Like a servant?"

"Like a worker," said Rin. "She pays me money so long as I work where she wants me to be. I don't have a choice. I can't leave. I can't find Yugo, and now I don't know where else to go." From the sound of her voice, Yasuko can tell Rin is sad. She wants to see Yugo again. Rin reminds her of Zuzu whenever she's concerned about Yuya. She can't help but feel their resemblance to Zuzu.

"Is Yugo your boyfriend?" Yasuko inquired.

Rin looked shocked, blushing red from her question. "What?! No! Of course not!" she denied. "It's just that…we grew up together. We were orphans. I don't know who or where my parents are, nor does Yugo. But we stuck together, and that's why we built his duel runner together." She continued, unaware to Yasuko that Rin was smiling softly. "We promised to reach the Tops when we win the Friendship Games."

Yasuko seems to understand that Rin cares for Yugo. Growing up in the Synchro Dimension, she must've had a hard life, a world of greed and deprivation. Rin was lucky she had someone like Yugo to look after her. She can't imagine how she would've survived in a world such as the Synchro Dimension.

"Hey, uh…it's Yasuko, right?" Rin inquired.

"Yeah," Yasuko replied.

"How'd you know Yugo?" Rin asked. "You said you've met him once and already knew me now."

"Funny story." Yasuko then explained the whole encounter of meeting Yugo for the first time, from when she thought Yugo was Yuya's twin brother or a clone to their duel at the Arch League Championship. She can hear Rin giggling with amusement as she continues to tell her story. As soon as Rin catches up, she goes on to know something else.

"So, you mean to tell me Yugo came to your dimension looking for me?" Rin inquired.

"He assumed another guy who took you, another twin brother, or a clone," Yasuko explained. "He looked like Yugo, just as he looked like Yuya."

Rin was alerted by Yasuko's description of the young man who looked like Yugo. "Was it him?" she asked.

"No, not the one who kidnapped you," Yasuko clarified. "Another one of Yuya's twin brothers or his clones. Yuto."

Rin agape her mouth, astonished at another man who looked like Yugo. "Yuto?" she repeated. "Does he look like Yugo?"

"And Yuya," Yasuko added. "And then there's the matter with your alternate universe self."

Rin raised one skeptical eyebrow. "What alternate universe myself?"

"I mean, that girl you saw who was with Yugo on the wanted posters and TV, she is you from an alternate universe," said Yasuko. "Zuzu Hiiragi. And there's also another. She's in prison right now. Serena."

"You're saying three other people looked like me?" Rin wanted to know more about her other selves. She doesn't get the whole alternate universe or dimension like Yasuko. She wanted to know more about the girls who look like her.

"I thought you were a twin sister, but an alternate universe mostly came to my mind," Yasuko replied. "I even thought you were a clone."

"I am not a clone," Rin retorted, offended.

"That's what Yuya said," Yasuko mused.

"Yuya? That's the guy you said who looked like Yugo, right?"

Yasuko nodded. "Another one of Yuya's twin brothers or his clones," she said."

"So, why are you here?" Rin questioned. "And why do you want to get back to the Tops?"

"I'm here because my team, the Lancers, are trying to gather allies to fight Academia in the Dimensions War we are in, but most of my teammates and Yuya were arrested and sent to the Facility," Yasuko explained. "I managed to escape, but security's now after me. I need to get to the Tops 'cause I met some very interesting people who could help me get my name off their bounty."

"Isn't that a lot of work?" Rin queried.

"It is," Yasuko confirmed. "And now I'm runnnin' my ass around doing delivery girl service 'cuz my leader is as useless as a brick stone." Yasuko checks her GPS and turns right to another section of the highway. "But seeing you here is a surprise. Why was Yuri after you?"

"Yuri?"

"The guy who kidnapped you," Yasuko elucidated. "Why did Yuri kidnap you?"

Rin wondered what happened to her during her encounter with the guy Yasuko mentioned. "Yuri? That guy said I am very special. He said that I am essential for Academia's plan. He didn't tell me what but said he had orders to bring me to Academia. I don't know why I'm special. I'm just an orphan from the slums."

The more answers Yasuko gets, the more questions keep coming. No matter what answers she gets, it's always more questions. She hates it. She just wanted to know everything and be done with it. Yet, Rin's description of her encounter with Yuri made her very curious. Why does Academia want Rin? Yuri told her before their duel that he was after Zuzu, and that's something she hadn't thought of until now.

"Why her? Why Rin? Why Zuzu? What do they have in common?" she thought.

Yasuko was deeply thinking about her mission, so she didn't hear sirens blaring in her ears. When the sirens got closer, Yasuko returned to reality and turned her head to peek over. Rin does the same thing when she hears the sirens.

"It's Sector Security!" Rin exclaimed.

Yasuko can see that about three Sector Security officers are following them in their duel runners. They were hot on their tails. They knew it was a one-way trip to the Facility if they got caught.

"Halt! You two, in the duel runner! Pull over immediately!" One of the officers announced through the loudspeaker.

"No way am I going to prison," Yasuko hissed. She faced forward and then twisted the stick. At two seconds flat, the duel runner speeds up, making it zip past dozens of cars on the highway. According to her GPS, she swivels to the left and then to the right exit.

"Don't let them escape!" The second officer exclaimed.

"Call in a chopper, send it over!" A third officer responded.

"I will have to enforce a duel." As the chase ensues, one of the officers starts the Turbo Duel. "I Set the Field Spell: Speed World Neo!" He starts the Duel as he Sets the Field Spell Card: Speed World Neo. The Duel Runners activate a giant link bubble over the highway. The computer board on Yasuko's Duel Runner activates in response to the activation of the field spell. "Duel Mode, on. Autopilot, stand by." The A.I. computer responds as the duel runner emits a neon-blue blade in front of Yasuko. She was curious because the neon blade is angular into two: Monster Zones and Spell and Trap Zones.

"Are we going to be dueling them here?" Rin questioned. "We're runnin' late!"

"They don't care," Yasuko argued. "And if we're going to get to the destination on time, we have to lose these guys!"

With the three officers pursuing behind them, the duel begins.

"DUEL!"

DUEL

Yasuko Yukihana (LP 4000)

VS

Sector Security Officer 3x (LP 4000)

The duel begins with a battle royale. With five cards in their hand, the duel can commence.

"I'll go first!" said the first officer.

Turn 1: Sector Security Officer #1 (5x cards)

Officer 1 takes a card from his hand to Normal Summons Jutte Lord (ATK 1600/DEF 1200). "I Summon Jutte Lord!" The first monster Officer 1 summoned was a kabuki warlord with a blue-green robe holding a hooked weapon. "I activate Jutte Lord's special effect! When this card is summoned, I can Special Summon one "Jutte" monster from my hand!" The officer takes out another card to Special Summon Jutte Fighter (ATK 700/DEF 900) in Defense Position. "I Special Summon Jutte Fighter!" The second monster Officer 1 summoned is a small, obese, Jutte warrior with a hooked weapon and a lamp behind his back.

"Now, the level 2 Jutte Fighter tunes with the level 4 Jutte Lord!" The smaller jutte turns into two green rings, scanning the jutte lord, removing its solid mass into four white orbs in the center.

(2 + 4 = 6)

"Shooter of iron hammers that strikes down the lawless! He tunes the level 2 fighter with level 4 Lord to Synchro Summon Goyo Catapult (ATK 800/DEF 2800) in Defense Position. The first Synchro monster Officer 1 summoned is a mechanical armored warrior with a hook weapon and a giant cannon on its back.

"Once per turn, Goyo Catapult lets me discard one monster card from my hand, and then it inflicts 600 points of damage!" Officer 1 activates the effect of his catapult to send his monster card, Assault Dog, to the graveyard. Once the cost was met, the catapult turned its barrel at the duel runner behind Yasuko and Rin. "Fire!" The catapult shoots a yellow beam down at the girls and hits them. Yasuko and Rin flinched after the effect damage was taken.

(Yasuko: LP 4000 3400)

"What the hell? They're going to burn us?" Yasuko gasped, realizing why there were three officers in the battle royale.

"I end my turn!" Officer 1 concluded.

Turn 2: Sector Security #2 (5x cards)

"You can't escape from authority!" Officer 2 exclaimed. "We'll hunt you down to the very end of the earth if we have to!" Officer 2 declared. "My turn!" He begins his turn and takes out a card to Normal Summon Jutte Lord (ATK 1600/DEF 1200). "I Summon Jutte Lord!" The second officer summons the same monster the first officer had summoned: a jutte lord.

"Another one?" Rin wondered.

"I activate Jutte Lord's effect when this card is summoned! I can Specia Summon Jutte Fighter from my hand!" Like before, the jutte lord's special effect allows the second officer to Special Summon 1 "Jutte" monster from his hand. He Special Summons Jutte Fighter (ATK 700/DEF 900) in Defense Position. The officer summoned a second jutte monster, a fighter type.

"Level 2 Jutte Fighter tunes with my level 4 Jutte Lord!" Like the first turn, the smaller jutte turns into two green rings to scan the jutte lord, removing its solid mass and into four white orbs in the center.

(2 + 4 = 6)

"I Synchro Summon! Appear, level 6! Goyo Catapult! The second officer tunes the level 2 fighter with level 4 lord to Synchro Summon Goyo Catapult (ATK 800/DEF 2800) in Defense Position. Like the first catapult, a second catapult monster appears on the field.

Rin couldn't believe two of the same monsters were on the field. "Two Goyo Catapults? Then that means it's got the same effect as the other one!" Rin pointed out.

"Once per turn, I can activate Goyo Catapult's effect by discarding one monster card from my hand to inflict 600 points of damage!" He sends Handcuffs Dragon to the graveyard, and the catapult monster aims its giant back cannon at the girls. The monster fires a blast, hitting the girls with an explosion. Rin screamed, holding on tight behind Yasuko. The rider flinched upon getting more burn damage.

(Yasuko: LP 3400 2800)

The duel runner rocks hard after the impact, making Yasuko temporarily lose control. "Damn!" she cursed. "Are they just gonna burn us until I don't have any more life points?!" she realized.

"I now end my turn!" officer 2 concluded.

Turn 3: Sector Security #3 (5x cards)

Rin looked behind at the third officer, knowing that if this was what they were going to do, then it was only a matter of time before Yasuko lost against them. "Here it comes!" she warned.

"My turn!" Officer 3 declared. "And I summon Jutte Lord!" Officer 3 Normal Summons Jutte Lord (ATK 1600/DEF 1200). A third jutte lord appears on the field. "When Jutte Lord is summoned, I can activate his effect to Special Summon 1 "Jutte" monster from my hand!" he explained. Like before, the third officer Special Summons Jutte Fighter (ATK 700/DEF 900). A third fighter type appears on the field.

"Now, level 2 Jutte Fighter tunes with my level 4 Jutte Lord!" The smaller jutte turns into two green rings to scan the jutte lord, removing its solid mass and into four white orbs in the center.

(2 + 4 = 6)

"I Synchro Summon! Come, level 6! Goyo Catapult! The third officer tunes the level 2 fighter with level 4 lord to Synchro Summon Goyo Catapult (ATK 800/DEF 2800) in Defense Position. Like the first and second catapult, a third catapult monster appears on the field.

"I activate Goyo Catapult's special effect to discard one monster card and inflict 600 points of damage!" The third officer discards his monster card, Montage Dragon, to the graveyard. The third catapult lowers its cannon at the girls again, then fires a yellow beam down to blast them. The third impact hits the duel runner, rocking back and forth as the effect damage is dealt with at the life points.

(Yasuko: LP 2800 2200)

"This is not cool!" Rin exclaimed. "Are they gonna keep doing this to us?!"

"Don't worry," Yasuko reassured. "They only do 600 damage once per turn; I can take them down when it's my turn." That, of course, is the last thing she would've expected.

"Don't think you'll survive this round!" the officer exclaimed. He then pulls out another card from his hand to activate the Spell Card: Double Shot. A spell card flips up to reveal two blasts fired at a creature; one missed, but the other hit the chest. "When an effect damage was inflicted on my opponent, I can activate this spell! Double Shot! By targeting my Goyo Catapult, I can inflict damage equal to half its DEF!" The catapult aims its barrel down at the girls again to prepare for another shot. "Fire!" The catapult fires a second beam down at the girls. The duel runner shakes violently upon impact, dealing more effect damage to the girls.

(Yasuko: LP 2200 800)

"I end my turn," the officer concluded. "You've got nowhere to run! Pull over at once!" The officer demanded the girls to surrender to the law. Of course, they all knew what kind of law enforcement these guys were, and not the friendly ones.

"Screw that!" Yasuko yelled. "I'd rather take my chances on the street than prison!" She was frustrated that her delivery was getting delayed due to Sector Security being on her tail. Thankfully, her visor covered her eyes and did not reveal her identity or Rin's to the cops.

Turn 4: Yasuko Yukihana (5x cards)

"My turn!" Yasuko declared. "Two can play that game if they want to play dirty!" She thought of how to defeat all three officers simultaneously in one turn. She will give her deck a test with Elsa's new cards for this mission. She takes out a card and Normal Summons Majespecter Raccoon – Bunbuku (ATK 1200/DEF 900). "I Summon Majespecter – Raccoon Bunbuku!" Once Yasuko had summoned a monster, a small orange raccoon with a tornado on its back appeared on the field. "When Racoon Bunbuku is summoned, I can activate its effect to add one Majespecter monster from my deck to my hand!" her deck ejects one card, and Yasuko adds a Majespecter Cat – Nekomata. "I add Majespecter Cat – Nekomata!" Once she said her card, Yasuko took out another to activate her monster card: Assault Synchron (ATK 700/DEF 0). "By paying 700 life points, I can activate Assault Synchron's special effect to Special Summon itself from my hand!" She can feel the static coursing through her body after paying the cost to activate the ability.

(Yasuko: LP 800 100)

"Come on! Assault Synchron!" Yasuko Special Summons Assault Synchron. The second monster Yasuko summoned is a jet fighter blackbird machine with legs at the bottom of the aircraft body and a head in the cockpit. The arms were extended from the jet engines as they flew beside the girls.

"Are you crazy?!" Rin exclaimed. "That puts you under their target for their damage effect! Do you have a plan for that?" Rin looked back at the officers gaining on them, and it's clear that the duel ends with them getting captured, arrested, and then sent to the Facility. "If we get caught, we're done. We won't have anyone to get us."

Yasuko knows the risk, but she isn't going to leave Riley behind. He's depending on her. "I'm not going to let that happen," she vowed. "I tune the level 2 Assault Synchron with my level 4 Raccoon!" The jet fighter Synchron and the raccoon bunbuku fly up. The tuner monster transforms into two glowing green rings, scanning the raccoon into four white orbs.

(4 + 2 = 6)

"Magician, call forth the tempest of the spells to unleash your most devastating attacks! I Synchro Summon! Come, level 6! Tempest Magician!" Yasuko tunes the level 2 Assault Synchron with level 4 Crow to Synchro Summon Tempest Magician (ATK 2200/DEF 1700) in Attack Position. The synchro monster Yasuko had summoned a sorcerer wearing a blue robe holding a scythe. "When Tempest Magician is Synchro Summoned, she gains 1 Spell Counter!" A single Spell Counter reveals itself in the scythe when the tempest sorcerer appears.

(Tempest Magician: Spell Counter 0 1)

"That's all you've got? That monster doesn't have enough ATK to defeat the Goyo Catapults," office 1 mocked.

"This one will give a punch," Yasuko commented. She takes another card and then activates the Spell Card: Spell Power Grasp. "I activate the Spell, Spell Power Grasp! This card lets me target one face-up card that can place a Spell Counter, and it gains a counter, and then I can add one "Spell Power Grasp" from my deck to my hand," she explained. "I target Tempest Magician and then place one more spell counter on this card." A second Spell Counter appears inside the glass scythe of the tempest sorcerer.

(Tempest Magician: Spell Counter 1 2)

A card ejects from the deck, allowing Yasuko to add a second copy of her Spell Power Grasp. Now, she's coming close to what she might do and makes the next move with her tempest sorcerer. "Now, I activate Tempest Magician's effect! By discarding any number of cards from my hand to the graveyard, Tempest Magician gains 1 Spell Counter for every card I discard," she said. Yasuko picks up the second copy of her Spell Power Grasp, Majespecter Cat – Nekomata, and Mythical Beast Garuda and discards them.

"What was the point of that?" Rin inquired. "How does placing more counters do us a favor?" Rin saw three more Spell Counters appearing in the tempest sorcerer's glass scythe.

(Tempest Magician: Spell Counter 2 5)

"Go ahead and try to place as many Spell Counters as you want; it still won't change anything in this duel," Officer 2 called.

Yasuko goes ahead with what the officer said and activates the Spell Card: Spell Power Mastery. "I activate the Spell, Spell Power Master!" she exclaimed. "This card lets me add one "Endymion" card from my deck to my hand, and then it places face-up cards I control equal to the number of "Spell Power Grasp" and "Spell Power Mastery" I control or in the graveyard!" Yasuko chooses the right cards to add and adds Endymion's Currency Scriptures. "I add Endymion's Currency Scriptures, and because I have one "Master" and two "Grasp" in my GY, Tempest Magician gains 3 more spell counters." Since she controls a "Spell Power Master" and two copies of her Spell Power Grasps, she gives the tempest sorcerer three Spell Counters.

(Tempest Magician: Spell Counter 5 8)

"You officers have no idea who you're dealing with," said Yasuko. "The conditions are set." She then activates the Continuous Spell Card: Endymion's Currency Scriptures. "I activate the Continuous Spell, Endymion's Currency Scriptures!" The spell card reveals itself on the field, depicting a hand writing Spell Counters in scrolls.

"Wait, what does that do?" Rin asked.

"I'll show you," said Yasuko. "I activate Tempest Magician's special effect! By removing all the Spell Counters on my field, I can inflict 500 points of damage for every counter removed by this effect!" Once she explained, the officers pursuing them gasped in shock that her monster could also do effect damage burn. "Tempest Magician has 8 Spell Counters, which means I remove all Spell Counters and inflict 4000 to my opponent!" She leans back and points at the first officer. "I hit you with 4000!"

(Tempest Magician: Spell Counter 8 0)

The tempest sorcerer makes a wide swing with her scythe, sending a magical slash with Spell Counters at the first officer. He screamed as he was hit with the slash, damaged by the FTK.

(Officer 1: LP 4000 0)

His duel runner overheated, and steam blew out of the machine. The first officer was left behind, and only two officers were in pursuit.

"No way!" Officer 2 gasped. "She can deal 4000 points of damage?!"

"Hold your tongue!" Officer 3 snapped. "She doesn't have any more Spell Counters left. She'll never get all of us!"

Yasuko's eye glanced back to them, assuming they've still got game. "No, I've got you right where I want you!" she called. "I activate Endymion Currency Scripture's effect!" The continuous spell card flips up, glowing in a yellow aura. "When a card effect removes a spell counter, this card gains the same number of spell counters it was used!" She activates the spell's effect to gain the many Spell Counters she removed.

(Endymion's Currency Scriptures: Spell Counters 0 8)

Rin realized what Yasuko had achieved through her duel against the three officers. "This is…" she began.

"Now, I activate Tempest Magician's effect again!" Yasuko revealed. She then activates Tempest Magician's effect to remove all Spell Counters from her field to inflict burn damage to her opponent equal to the number of Spell Counters removed.

(Endymion's Currency Scriptures: Spell Counter 8 0)

"You take another 4000 damage!" The tempest sorcerer makes one fast swing to send a slash to the second officer. It hits his duel runner, effectively wiping out all his life points.

(Officer 2: LP 4000 0)

The second officer grunted after his life points were hit, and his duel runner stalled with steam bellowing out from the front. The third officer in pursuit was shocked at what Yasuko was doing to them. "This can't be," he uttered. "But now you have no more Spell Counters!"

"Think again!" Yasuko argued. "When a Spell Counter is removed from Endymion's Currency Scriptures, its effect activates, allowing me to target one face-up card I control, and it gains that many Spell Counters removed by a card effect!" She points at the tempest sorcerer. "And I target Tempest Magician!" The tempest sorcerer glows in a bright orange aura as she regains the Spell Counters spent.

She then activates Endymion's Currency Scripture's effect if Spell Counters were removed from this card; she can target one card she controls that can hold a Spell Counter and place the same number of Spell Counters it had. Tempest Magician gains 8 Spell Counters, which she removed.

(Tempest Magician: Spell Counters 0 8)

The officer then realized what Yasuko had done. She's effectively created an FTK loop against them. "She's using the Spell Counters to inflict damage to us?!" he inhaled.

"Amazing!" Rin boasted. "You were able to get Sector Security off us with just one turn alone!"

"I told you, I'm not going to prison," said Yasuko. "I activate Tempest Magician's effect again!" The Spell Counters on tempest sorcerer was used up to activate its effect again; removing all Spell Counters from her field to inflict burn damage to her opponent equal to number of Spell Counters removed.

(Tempest Magician: Spell Counter 8 0)

"Take this!" Yasuko exclaimed. The tempest sorcerer makes one lash slash against the officer, sending a slash motion toward the officer. He can't help but scream as his life points are hit with an FTK.

(Officer 3: LP 4000 0)

WINNER: Yasuko Yukihana

The duel runner on the third officer steams out and stalls as the girls speed away in a flash of light. Rin cheers as she sees the officers' figures disappear behind them on the horizon. "Alright! We did it!" she beamed. That was awesome, Yasuko!"

Yasuko adjusted her seating and twisted the stick, increasing the throttle to escape the scene as fast as possible. "Sure, why not? Those officers are just amateurs. Some elites they are," she rebuked.

The girls exit onto the right side, leading them to the middle section of the high-rise buildings. According to her GPS, they come to an intersection, and Yasuko turns right. The girls are coming into view of a closed gate right at the road they're supposed to be heading.

"There's a security guard over there," said Rin.

"I can see that," Yasuko responded. She can't stop in front of the gate because the guard'll identify them, and he'll call Sector Security. "Hang on, we're going to fly!" She revs her stick, making the duel runner speed faster. Rin gripped Yasuko tighter to her. As the duel runner speeds up, the wind pushes against their face.

"This duel runner can't fly!" Rin pointed out, shouting over the sound of the winds.

"Who said anything about flying!" Yasuko argued. Before Rin could process what she meant, Yasuko flicks on a switch in her duel runner. The back wings of the vehicle expand outward, making a small arrow in the formation. Once the gate was coming close, Yasuko turned on the thrusters. She pushed the button on the stick. In the blink of an eye, the duel runner bursts out blue streams of nitro from the back wings, making the machine move at the speed of light. It was so fast that the front wheels of the duel runner were being lifted.

"Whoa!" Yasuko gasped.

The security guard notices them and moves in the way. "Hey! Stop! This is private property!" The guard barely had time to get any response before he moved out of the way, allowing Yasuko to jump over the gate. The duel runner's tires screeched at the concrete as the girls saw the gate being left behind.

"That was awesome!" Rin beamed. She looked back at the guard who returned to his post, and she could guess he was probably calling security. "We're going to have a lot of security on us if we don't make this delivery!" she reminded.

"What do you think I'm doing?!" Yasuko yelled. "Just make sure you can give that package to the client." She turned to the right, and as they drove up a steep hill, the girls saw themselves heading up into a tunnel. They enter the tunnel, and the headlights on the duel runner automatically turn on. The girls know the tunnel will leave them to the client because this is the only route to the Tops. They are sure they're going the right way. When the girls saw a bright light at the end of the tunnel, they zoomed out. Right there. Tall buildings that are under the ownership of the Tops. They don't live in any of them. They own it.

The GPS on the duel runner is taking them in a different direction, and Yasuko turns the duel runner to the left. As soon as she turns left, the GPS indicates the spot of the delivery. Yasuko and Rin look up ahead to see that there's a single person at the entrance of the building. It had to be someone who was expecting them.

Yasuko slows the duel runner to a halt in front of a gentleman with a suit. "Are you a butler or a worker?" she asked.

The man narrows his eyes at the girls. "No, but are you the ones Elsa Padalecki sent for?" he asked.

"Yes," Rin confirmed. "We have the package." She hos off the duel runner and takes the case that was magnetically attached to the duel runner for easy transport. "It's right here."

"Come with me," the man said.

As he turned around and walked to the building, Yasuko and Rin looked at each other, uncertain of what may lie inside those doors. They knew the criminal underworld was a dangerous place for them, but they had no choice.

They enter through the front doors into a lobby decorated with yellow and gold structures. The marble floors are smooth, and their shoes and boots clamp against the ground. In the lobby, there are couches and chairs of the highest luxuries.

Yasuko realizes that the building is a hotel. She wouldn't have known the destination was a hotel but for the criminal underworld.

The girls saw the man at the elevator, waiting for them to enter. They stepped inside, and the man pressed the button. The doors closed, and the lift was a soundless, smooth ride.

"So," Yasuko began. "Anything we should know?"

Rin gives Yasuko a look. She elbowed the girl, making her flinch. "Shh!" she hissed. Just shut up and wait!" She was sure Yasuko was going to kill them if they crossed into further territory.

The elevator stops, and the doors open, allowing the three of them to leave. The girls follow the man to a room. He scans the room key, and the doors activate, allowing the three to enter. Once inside, the girls are given a view of the city's skylines. There are a few dozen guards inside, most notably because their client is from the Tops. They watch the girls suspiciously for any sudden movements that may harm their client.

"Ms. Sinclair, the package is here," the man announced.

The girls turn to the woman sitting at the chair with a cigarette in her fingers. She blows smoke out before pivoting the chair to face the girls. The woman is middle-aged and has brown hair. Her gray eyes are dull, void of anything but a stoic expression. She looks at the girls with a raised eyebrow.

"Well, this gig's gotten younger," said the woman. "Aren't you girls too young to work in the business?"

"Look, we're just here to deliver your package," said Yasuko. "Nothing more."

Rin comes forward and presents the case to Ms. Sinclair so she can examine its contents. She sets the case on the table and presses her thumb on the small patch. The case is unlocked to verify the thumbprint. Ms. Sinclair comes to the case and opens it. Rin scoots back to let the woman look at the contents.

"Finally," said Ms. Sinclair. "Now my boss will be working for me."

Rin managed to peek at the contents: photos of a man mingling with a woman. She can assume that these are the blackmail contents Elsa mentioned. In the back of her head, she can only vent at the disgusting scheme Ms. Sinclair will use for the poor man. She was disgusted with the woman. She figures the Tops to be nasty people. "How despicable!" she thought to herself.

Ms. Sinclair puts the blackmail contents back in before she gestures to one of her guards to place it somewhere for her own. Once the guard takes the case away, the woman looks at the girls. "Now then," she said. Ms. Sinclair snaps her fingers to get something for them. "As payment, here. 300k, total," she stated. "That should satisfy the work."

Yasuko and Rin were surprised they were getting paid. Unless it's for Elsa, the money will undoubtedly go to her. One of the guards comes back with a different case. He sets it on the table and opens it, showing the girls a stack of cash.

"Here's the money," said Ms. Sinclair. "Now, leave. I have a business to take care of." And with that, the woman leaves to do some other business.

Yasuko and Rin glanced at each other, and Yasuko shrugged, making it not a big deal for them. They've already done the task. Now, they must head back to Elsa.

"Thank you," said Rin. She closes the case and takes it under her arms. "Are you ready?"

"Let's go," Yasuko replied.

The girls reentered the elevator before getting back to the lobby. They didn't say anything about their experience with the delivery. There was nothing they could do. It's not their decision to ensure the delivery is right or wrong. It's all about getting the job done.

Yasuko didn't care about the client blackmailing her boss. She wanted to get to the Tops to get Riley away from security. Then again, she thought of Rin. The girl looks like Zuzu and can't deny that Academia is after someone like her. She was having second thoughts and decides to tell Rin something.

"Rin, I think you should come with me," Yasuko proposed.

Rin was taken back by surprise, and glances at the girl. "What?" she inquired.

"Rin, Academia's after you, and if you stick with me, you'll be safer in my hands," said Yasuko. "You know they're after you. They're after Zuzu and Serena. They all look like you. Do you have any reason to stay with Elsa waiting for the moment you get caught again."

Rin narrows her eyes suspiciously. "But why?" she asked. "Why are they after me?"

Yasuko shrugged, unclear of the answer for her. She even wonders what Academia wants with Rin. "Honestly, I don't know," she stated. "But once I get back to the Tops, I think I know a couple of people who can help you."

"Thanks, but no," Rin declined. "I can handle myself."

Yasuko snorted. "I highly doubt you can," she said. "When haven't you win against someone from Academia?"

Rin takes that as an insult, glaring at the girl. "I wasn't prepared," she rebuked. "But now that I know who I'm facing, I'll be ready."

Yasuko doubts Rin's ability to handle someone from Academia. Yuri was the strongest duelist she'd ever faced from Academia. There was no way Rin would win against someone like him. She will be screwed if Yuri comes back to reclaim Rin.

"But are you?" Yasuko questioned. "Are you prepared to face them again? You know they'll keep on coming. They won't stop. I can't think of any better way for you than coming with me. To the Lancers."

"The Lancers?"

"Soldiers who are trying to fight Academia," Yasuko revealed. "But we can't do this fight alone. I'm here because we're gathering allies who can help us, so if you come with me, we can protect you from Academia." Yasuko wasn't sure if Rin would be coming with her. She thinks Rin should come for her safety, but Rin is just like Serena. She is way too overconfident with herself.

"I…" Rin was unable to respond to her. She starts having doubts about the whole Lancers being able to protect her. "I don't know," she said. Rin seemed hesitant about her offer.

Yasuko sighs and puts her helmet back on. Rin does the same thing.

As the girls exit the hotel, a giant spotlight shines down on them. The spotlight blinded them before it shone slightly away from them. The next thing they see is dozens of officers surrounding them from all directions.

"Riders! By the authority of the Director, you are hereby under arrest for failing to comply with the law!" An officer announced on ten loudspeakers. "If you do not comply, we will use force!"

If things couldn't get any worse, monsters from the Solid Image and Gate Blockers are holding the fort. Some of them had cannon guns aimed at them.

Yasuko exhaled in frustration. "God, this is bullshit," she cursed. "It's almost 6; why can't they all just go home like any normal government employee?"

"I don't suppose you have a plan B?" Rin hissed to Yasuko.

"Always," Yasuko confirmed. Yasuko takes drastic measures because they'll be sent to prison for a delivery. She puts her hand on a small device attached to her belt. It turns on, and Yasuko can hear the duel runner turning on.

"Halt!"

A couple of officers armed with cannons were prepared to open fire before the duel runner bellowed a large smokescreen. The smoke spread through the ports and into the surrounding officers, blanketing everything.

"Stop them!" One of the officers shouted.

A horde of officers swarm in to apprehend the girls at the front entrance, but when they get there, the girls are gone. No grace of their bodies.

"I can't see!"

"Where they go?!"

"Maintain perimeter! They can't get far!"

As officers scrambled to find the suspects, the duel runner already jets put through the smokescreen, pushing past a small alley that was too cramped for a car to move through.

The smoke screen from the duel runner wears off and ejects canisters.

Rin was amazed that the dual runner was equipped with such a feature. "How much does that woman put in this duel runner?" she wondered.

"Elsa is very particular about this delivery, so she wanted the best to exploit every opportunity to get away from security," Yasuko explained.

The duel runner emerges from the alleyway and zips to a tunnel, which leads back to the main road, where they can escape to the Commons.

"Look! That leads us back to where we come from!" Rin pointed out.

"And if they let security in, that's where we get out," said Yasuko. She twists the stick to make the duel runner go faster. They exited the tunnel and saw that the gate was open due to security officers nearby.

Before they could realize it, the girls streak out of the gate.

"Hey!"

Yasuko could barely hear any commotion from the officers stationed at the gate. She was keeping her grip on handling the duel runner fast and steady. "Did you get the money?" Yasuko inquired.

"Right here." Rin taps the case magnetically attached to the seating. "Elsa's not a woman to take mistakes lightly."

"That's just her," Yasuko commented.

The girls head up the street back to the Red Keep with the money.

Inside the Red Keep garage, Yasuko and Rin have come to deliver the money to Elsa.

They walk past some workers and come to the couch area, where Blister is on the laptop doing something, and Kalin and Elsa are watching the news on their flatscreen TV. Elsa is drinking her wine when she hears them coming in.

"Yo, bloody good job, gals!" Elsa cheered. "I'd say you sure have enough hornets to swap."

Yasuko and Rin come to see the news that Sector Security chased them earlier. Still, their identities are safe thanks to the smoked visors on their helmets.

"God, that was bloody righteous! Escaping three pursuers and getting back with a horde of officers before disappearing into the smoke! That's a high-rated TV!" Elsa was in a rather cheery mood. She didn't seem upset about their delivery being slightly delayed because of security.

"Here's the client's money," said Rin. She presented the money to Elsa and placed the case on the table.

Elsa opens the car to check the money and smiles with satisfaction. "Splendid," she said. "You gals did a good job." She takes out a slap of cash and throws it to Yasuko. "Here, love. A tip for your work. If you want more, all you have to do is work for me. You'll be treated."

Yasuko is taking payment all because she has little or no money in the dimension. It's what she gets for doing some illegal work. It's so hard knowing she'll have security on her trail until she is caught.

"Sure, and do you have my documents? You said I do this; you can get me to the Tops," Yasuko clarified.

"All taken care of," said Elsa, snapping her finger to gesture to Blister.

The man came back in with a small hard drive. "Hey, finished the work," said Blister. "Here you go. You're new ID. Courtesy of yours truly."

"Thanks," Yasuko replied. She took the hard drive away and examined it. Then, she put it into her pocket along with the money Elsa had given her.

"Alright, let's go home," said Kalin. "Marlene's gonna be mad if we come back with the heat on us." Kalin picks up his helmet and starts walking.

"Well, I guess my work is done," said Blister. He closes his laptop and comes over to Elsa. "Pleasure working with you again," he smiled.

"A pleasure is all mine," said Elsa. "And as for you, I think you are the one who will be our best." She takes out a card from her jacket pocket. "Here's my number. Let me know if you want more work." And with that, Yasuko takes the paper, and Elsa leaves with a wave.

"Cheerio, darlings," said Elsa.

Now that the grown-ups are gone, it's just Yasuko and Rin. Both girls stare at each other, wondering what happens now.

"So, do you still want to come? Or do you think you can still handle everything on your own?" Yasuko questioned.

Rin averted her gaze, still having second thoughts of her choice. "I don't know," she said. "I can't let anything happen to Yugo, but Academia is hunting me. If I go anywhere, they'll come for Yugo."

Yasuko understands what Rin is feeling. She cares for Yugo, but with Academia searching for her, she could get Yugo hurt or, worse, be turned into a card.

"Sure, why not," Yasuko reasoned. "You best be careful."

Rin nodded. "You too," she replied.

With nothing else to say, Yasuko takes her things to head for the garage.

Rin was alone in bed, taking her boot off and staring at the ceiling. She is still thinking of what Yasuko told her. The Lancers seem to be the good guys she can trust. Here, this is the only place that she can stay hidden. She doesn't know if Academia will find her again. But then there's Yugo. He's out somewhere with a girl who looks like her, just as Yasuko claimed.

"Still thinking 'bout that girl, are ya?" Elsa's voice sounds off from the door.

She lifted her head and saw her leaning against the doorframe. "Yeah," Rin confirmed. "She said the Lancers can protect me, but I don't know if I should come with her."

"Gal, you are not thinking about going with her, aren't you?" Elsa questioned, coming to take a seat on the bed.

Rin got up and looked at Elsa. "I thank you for letting me stay here, even though you were going to turn me over to Sector Security," she said. "But I can't just sit here and work for you. I have a friend out there, and I must find him."

"You mean your boyfriend, Yugo?" Elsa inquired, making Rin blush red.

"Yugo is not my boyfriend!" Rin denied, "He's…he's someone I have. I don't have anyone else. We always had each other, but now…I don't have him." She feels useless and sick of waiting for Yugo to find her. "And now, this strange girl comes to me saying she knows people from the Top? Why should I trust her?"

Elsa hums with amusement. "I see," said Elsa. "You just want to find your little friend out there, and here, that Yasuko girl offers a chance to get you back to your friend." She held a finger to prove her point. "She is the one-in-a-millionth chance you're ever going to get. I'm not holding you back. I can't turn you in because there's no bounty. If you wanna go with her, go ahead. I'm not gonna stop ya.

"But if what's holding you back stopping ya, then don't overthink it, just do it. Take their chance, and soon, you'll have the chance to see your Yugo." Elsa hops off the bed and heads for the door. "That girl's not gonna come back, you know. She only wants me to help her up. If she leaves, you're not gonna see Yugo again." Before she heads for the door, Elsa glances back at Rin.

"Think 'bout it," she concluded. "Cuz that girl's got something cooking up, and I am eager to see what happens next." And so Elsa leaves Rin alone in her room to think about it. Rin was sure that deep down, she may be right.

Yasuko removed her suit and adjusted her black-and-white long sleeve. She felt very relieved to wear her casuals and not the skintight suit. As she puts on her clothes, Yasuko takes the time to rethink her next step. With her new identity forged by Blister, Yasuko can finally take Riley away to safety at the Tops. She can find the twins and maybe Akiza and see if they can give them a place to stay and cover. She didn't want this, but Yasuko was already bringing more heat to her. She has to move quickly.

"Alright, let's go home," said Yasuko.

"Good," Kalin replied. "The sooner we leave, the better."

"Can't wait," Yasuko responded sarcastically.

They both come to the garage to hop onto their duel runners. As they turn one of their engines to get moving, a shout calls them to stop.

"Wait!"

Yasuko and Kalin turned around to see Rin sprinting toward them. She had a pouch with her, waving at the two to do not move. "Wait!" Rin yelled.

Rin stops in front of Yasuko, panting with exhaustion. "Take me with you!" she declared.

Yasuko and Kalin were taken back from her declaration. They exchanged looks at each other, wondering why Rin was coming with them.

"Really?" Yasuko inquired.

"Yes, really," Rin confirmed. "I'll come with you to the Lancers."

"Are you serious?" Yasuko questioned.

"I am." Rin seemed serious about coming with them since Yasuko was only going to the Tops with Riley. The hard drive Blister gave her is only good for her and Riley. Rin is going to catch a lot of eyes if she comes. Then again, Academia is coming after her, so it will be a problem when they find her again. It's for the best.

"Sure, why not," Yasuko agreed. "Hop on." She nodded to take a seat behind her.

Rin beamed with a hopeful look. "Thank you!" Rin jumps on the backseat and then puts on the helmet. She grips Yasuko's back, ready to hold on. Kalin led the way, and the girls followed right behind him, exiting the garage.

The Sector Security Main Bureau Headquarters.

A giant tower at the Tops that monitors the entire city perimeter. The building is super high-tech, with its glass structure almost reaching for the night sky. All Sector Security officers are reported to the main building for their mission, debriefing, and city monitoring. For the most part, they're the guard dogs for the Tops. No one from the Commons cannot withstand the full might of security.

At the central control system, officers monitoring the computer screens have been working around the clock because of the recent incident with Yasuko.

The one in charge of the control room is a pale-skinned man with a long nose, green eyes, and ash-blonde hair that is neatly combed and arranged but flares outward into short wings. He wears a simple yet expensive closed knee-length purple coat held shut by silver clasps over an orange collared shirt. He also wears grey dress pants and black dress shoes.

"Director, we've lost the riders at Sector B13," one of the female dispatchers reported.

"Patrol 43 reports in no sighting of the fugitives or the riders," a male dispatcher added.

The Sector Security Director was impatient with the results of the offices out on patrol looking for the riders who escaped from three officers again. He never averted his eyes from three sets of pictures. One was a picture of Yasuko and Riley days before they caught the Lancers, and the other was Rin but disguised due to her visor covering her face.

"This is more of a nuisance than I expected," the director sighed. "If they keep getting out, it will be a problem for the others. Running around in circles." He stared at the mini-map on his display, showing the "X"s of where the rider was last spotted.

First was Yasuko and Riley escaping from Sector Security, and now these two riders, whose identities are unknown, still evaded three of the chasers. What a waste of valuable subordinates. His second display checked out on the Lancers he's caught. Aside from two of the Commons he's seen, both were registered in the system; the rest are all different duelists with extraordinary summoning methods. Ones that are not from this dimension.

"Sir, Patrol 89 reports that the riders have left the border," a male dispatcher stated.

"Increase patrol units from Sector B to E and have them scout the outer city limits," the director ordered. "They can't get too far from the city; it's nothing but a rural area." He has another thing in mind. "And what about the female prisoner we caught?" he asked one of the wardens at the Facility regarding their "special" prisoner.

"She's still in her cell, not moving anywhere," the warden reported.

The director smiled, staring at the display of Serena in her separate cell from the other inmates. "I see," he said. "Good, keep a close eye on her. I shall personally visit once I have the other suspect in custody." He never averts his eyes from Serena's face.

There is no doubt Serena has caught his interest.
