It was another day for Johnny Test as he arrived home after another blah day of school. Now that he was home, he could finally make himself comfortable. He did this by taking off his shoes, socks, and pants, leaving him in only his signature black t-shirt with the yellow radioactive symbol, short-sleeved blue jacket, and white briefs.
After the Smarty Pants incident, Johnny was quite weary when it came to putting on a pair of pants, even if it was just his normal green pants. Obviously, he had to wear pants in public but at home, he didn't have to worry about such restrictions. So, he decided to not wear pants at home anymore. Thankfully, his family had no real issue with it, as they were used to seeing Johnny in his underwear-only attire during his lazy Saturdays.
He then made his way to the kitchen, so that he could get started on his homework. As much as he HATED schoolwork, he knew it had to be done. He was told that his grades would matter more once high school started, so he knew it would be wise to be more of an A-B student than a C-D student. He did try to get his sisters to do his work for them since they were super geniuses, but they gave him a firm 'NO' in response, so he was on his own.
After about 40 minutes, he decided it was time to take a break, so he got some headphones and put on some music, all while relaxing by putting his feet on the table.
While enjoying his music, he felt someone tap him on his shoulder. That someone was Dukey, his best friend and talking dog.
"What?" Johnny asked before taking off his headphones.
"How much homework have you done?" asked Dukey.
"A few pages," said Johnny.
"How much more do you have to complete?" asked Dukey.
"A few more," said Johnny.
"And how long have you been listening to music?" asked Dukey.
"Uhhh…what time is it?" asked Johnny.
"It's just about 6 pm," said Dukey.
"Shoot, I lost track of time. Oh well, I'll finish it after dinner," said Johnny.
"Maybe it would've been done by now had you paid attention to the clock," said Dukey.
"What are you, my dad? I'll get it done," said Johnny.
"Yeah, and you'll keep saying that and continue to procrastinate until you rush to finish it all the next morning," said Dukey.
"Okay, so I procrastinate a little, big deal," said Johnny.
"A little? You do it all the time! All because you want to go on crazy adventures instead of getting your schoolwork done early." said Dukey.
"Well, maybe if school wasn't so BORING, I would be more willing to finish my work in a timely manner," said Johnny.
"Well, maybe if you finished your work in a timely manner, your parents wouldn't be on your butt all the time," said Dukey.
"Why do you even care? You're lucky. You don't have to deal with school because you're a dog." said Johnny.
"I just want you to do well, Johnny. That's all. And you can REALLY do well if you put some effort into your work. Isn't that what your teacher says?" asked Dukey.
"Yeah, ALL THE TIME. Working hard just sucks," said Johnny.
"And you know what sucks more? Failing your assignments and getting grounded by your parents," said Dukey.
Now in the mood to irritate Dukey, Johnny began to slowly take off his underwear.
"Don't do it, Johnny. If you do it, I'll-" Dukey couldn't finish his sentence before Johnny threw his underwear at Dukey, hitting him right in the face.
"You make it really difficult for me to like you sometimes, you know that?" asked an annoyed Dukey.
"It's part of my charm," Johnny said with a smug smile.
Dukey threw the underwear right back at Johnny and said, "Just put your underwear back on and finish your homework right after dinner. If you do that, we can play some video games together."
Johnny rolled his eyes and put his underwear back on before saying, "Sure will, DAD."
Sighing, Dukey left the kitchen and left Johnny alone. And to his surprise and satisfaction, Johnny did in fact finish the rest of his homework right after dinner, showing that Johnny was willing to listen to him. Even if he was being a pain.
Hope you enjoyed the chapter. For some reason, Johnny Test entered my brain again and as a result, more ideas for stories popped into my head. So, this story will be an anthology, lasting 5 chapters. None of the chapters will be directly connected. The next chapter will deal with something I mentioned in 'Johnny's Not So BIg Secret'. Johnny coming out as bisexual to Dukey.
