Natsu would be getting an assignment. He was inside Hades Office as the man explained to the details.

"We found another Bureau of Magical Development Building. It seems that Brain was still keeping secrets from us." Hades told Natsu.

"A routine extermination and gather the data mission?" Natsu asked.

"Yes, I want you to gather all available information that they have at their site and eliminate all of the inhabitants. We must sent a message that we are to know everything. I'll handle Brain." Hades said.

"Just point me there and I'll get it done." Natsu replied.

It seemed that Brain thought he could pull a fast one over Hades. However, Hades was thorough in his venting of potential pawns. This Balam Alliance as they called it, wasn't an alliance by any means. At best, from what Natsu had gathered they just agreed not to attack each other but if the authorities came for them. They would be left high and dry.

"Good and Natsu, all information gathered is to be returned to me immediately with no further delays." Hades said.

Natsu played the blind yet obedient dog but in reality, he had a lot of questions. Even after being apart of Grimoire Heart for a year. Hades was still trusting Natsu as far as he could throw him. He left the room without further ado and ran into Meredy.

"Natsu!"

Meredy ran up to him as Natsu saw the happiness in her eyes.

"Hey, Meredy. I don't have any time. Hades just sent me on a mission." Natsu explained to the girl.

"Really, where?"

"To a mountainous area in the west. It seems that Brian did not inform Hades of a building. From what I understand, the Bureau of Magical Development works to enhance magical power. Knowing the master..." Natsu trailed off.

"Should you be telling me this?" Meredy asked.

"I asked and he said he didn't care as long as the job got done." Natsu said.

"Hmmm, if that's the case. I think you should take Ultear with you." Meredy spoke.

"He seemed in a snappy mood. I'll head out before she returns to get this job done." Natsu said.

Meredy bid Natsu farewell as Natsu made his way to his destination. He had to use the train to get there and normally for Dragon Slayers. They would have motion sickness but that's just one of the symptoms. However, as the train began to move forward. Natsu hadn't felt the motion sickness that was suppose to plague him. Instead, Natsu looked at the palm of his hand before closing the hand. He felt human skin before opening it up again to reveal the palm.

'I wasn't so lucky.' Natsu thought.

Natsu looked out the window with a seldom look setting onto his features. He didn't do anything beside look out the window until finally, the train came to a stop when the sun had been setting. Natsu got up from his seat as he headed into town.

'Mission time. I need to focus.' Natsu thought.

Natsu buried his feelings as he did focus on the mission. He didn't remember getting there by foot, he didn't remember breaking into the mountain facility, if anything, Natsu was on autopilot as he slaughtered the people in the mountains. Natsu seem to get himself in order as he looked around and realized what he just did to everyone in the building. His brain coming back together. Natsu gave out a deep sigh.

'At least they were members of a dark guild.' Natsu thought.

It was time to head to wherever they kept their data.

Natsu painstakingly combed through the data.

'They were intending to hide this from Hades.' Natsu thought.

He found the communications log and he began to search deeper to see if they were trying to conspire against Hades. Unfortunately, for everyone that was kept in the dark about this facility. It seemed like Brain just wanted to gain more power and influence. It would appear Hades had work to do when Natsu got back to base to make his report.

'Not surprised either we were going to say Oracion Seis had out lived its usefulness and kill them. It's the nature of Dark Guilds.'

Alliances didn't suit them after all. He also found much older communication logs.

'These date back years ago.' Natsu thought.

Why have them here? They didn't serve anything. Natsu didn't get to that answer with the communication logs present. However, he found something that made him narrow his eyes.

Ur came back to see how her precious daughter was doing but we told her that she died. At first she resisted, she called us liars. However, luckily we had a back up plan in case she tried to attack us. The body double worked perfectly, she was fooled and left in tears. Now we don't have to worry about her at all.

Natsu slammed his fist into the wall.

'Those bastards!' Natsu thought.

Natsu tried to find the source of where this communication log came from but he realized to his annoyance. That the data had been copied to be brought here. His anger rose up like a inferno. Natsu wanted to revive these bastards again only to kill them again. Natsu found a few more communication logs.

Experiment 3373 broke free! Everyone-

The log ended and Natsu realized that someone was able to break free from inside the facility that Ur took her daughter. Is that Ur's daughter that broke out or was it someone else?

'Wait...it can't be!'

Natsu needed more information and pressed on to another portion of the facility. Namely, the research wing. Now that's where he could get more answers.

'He was making a body link seal to seal away his evil self?' Natsu thought.

Natsu bangs covered his eyes.

"You. Fucking. Coward!"

Natsu slammed his fist through the lacrima that had supplied him with the information. The lacrima shattering into dozens of pieces. This Brain had absolutely no pride. No backbone. A coward! That's not how you solved your problems. You solved them by facing them head on. Natsu needed a minute to collect himself before he destroyed another highly valuable item. Natsu was glad he made the choice to calm down because the more he digged through the research section. The more he became disgusted with Brain and his operation.

Natsu dug primarily through another assortment of much older files. He found alot of them about Experiment 3373. The person had so much magic power that her body couldn't contain it and as a result, they had began experimenting on her. They never explicitly told her name as if dehumanizing them. However, his suspicions were growing that Ultear is Experiment 3373. Natsu needed proof. He needed a name. Anything to tell him that this is Ultear.

"If they kept the communication logs, research notes from the first area and moved it to this area. They'll have everything on Experiment 3373."

That meant video feed of...experiments. In reality, it is torture and as he watched the video of a younger looking Ultear being tortured on by the 'researchers.' Natsu realized that this story. That Ultear's story would have a much better story that his own and he had to tell her. She needed to know that her mother had in fact broke into the old facility. Ur had murdered several guards and broke through a wall. In a rampage to find her daughter. Screw Hades. He was going to do what is right.

Later.

Natsu and Ultear were now within a hotel room. The only way for them to achieve some privacy.

"You said you had something for me?" Ultear asked.

"Hades wanted me to annihilate everyone in a Bureau of Magical Development Building while also taking all relevant information that they had in the area."

Normally, Ultear was calm, she had only gotten pissed with the Meredy situation. However, Natsu saw Ultear visibly enraged.

"I thought I destroyed that place." Ultear spat.

"You did but Brain wasn't done with his mission. He used you as a means to an end yet soon realized he couldn't control you. He knew that you would break out sooner rather than later. Brain seem to value your research enough to not only copy it but store it in a new location. The function of the building I razed to the ground had been the same as to what it was to you." Natsu explained.

Now she knew why Natsu had demanded that she meet with him here.

"Did you kill everything?" Ultear asked.

"Not a single one was allowed to escape. They all died." Natsu answered.

"Good, good." Ultear replied.

"I also...know what they did to you. I know what they did to your mother." Natsu spoke.

The temperature dropped ten degrees. Natsu didn't need a PhD to know talking about Ultear's mother is a landmine. Even for him.

"What. Was. That?" Ultear asked.

"Ur made a rescue attempt, she broke right through the front door, murdered some guards, moved through the facility but the researchers there had a body double. The double had your magic implanted into it to act as a ploy. Here is the proof."

Natsu tried showing Ultear the proof but as soon as he showed her the lacrima. Ultear consumed by rage immediately destroyed it.

"Are you trying to trick me!? My mother abandoned me! She left me there! She replaced me! Yet, you're trying to defend her actions!" Ultear yelled at Natsu.

Natsu taken aback that Ultear hadn't even examined the proof was momentarily stunned. There was nothing backing up his side of the argument anymore. Natu didn't realize that Ultear's hatred of her mother went to this extreme. Ultear smashed her fist into Natsu's face and he collided with the wall. Natsu kicked into gear after being pummeled witn the blow. He got to his feet.

"What is wrong with you!? If you would have watched that video, you would have seen that she tried rescuing you! Sure, it's debatable about putting you with them in the first place! However, she came back! You just destroyed it!" Natsu shouted at Ultear.

No, that isn't true. That couldn't be true! Ultear couldn't face that possibility that her mother had in fact came for her. If she did...all of this...her life...no! Natsu was trying to trick her like he did at the town all that time ago! That was it!

"You are such a bad liar Natsu, you think just because you have been here for more than a year. That you think you can trick me." Ultear said.

"I-bitch! You just destroyed the proof that I was going to show you!" Natsu countered.

"That video could have been altered to keep me passive. Luckily for them I didn't need to be coerced." Ultear said.

"What?" Natsu asked.

"You see foolish Natsu, I encountered my mother with two children. She had fully replaced me." Ultear spoke.

Natsu's eyes widen in shock.
