A/N: Chapter 23 of the Manga is where we start. In case anyone wondered. This also means if Natsu isn't in Fairy Tail, expect time ripples because who knocked down the egg from a tree? Who went to get Macao?
X784, Magnolia.
The sun shined down on a building. The building itself had a sign that spelled out Fairy Tail. Underneath the sigh would be two large doors that would lead into said building. In front of the two doors is Natsu. His outfit went from a long sleeve shirt to a white short sleeve shirt. Yet, you wouldn't know he was wearing it because of the baggy midnight blue sweater. He still kept the cargo pants but the color was now black. The white sneakers had stayed relatively the same. Natsu had a large duffle bag in one arm that contained his essentials. He indulged Meredy by wearing the golden color bracelet that she made for him.
'This is the guild I was sent to spy on.' Natsu thought.
Hades needed a inside man now that the Balam Alliance was making moves throughout the world. Fairy Tail, a guild he admitted he was apart of in the past would surely act on them sooner or later. However, there was a secondary objective and it was supposed to deal with what Hades called, Fairy Heart. Natsu would need to find it and tell him the location of it.
'However, I need a legitimate reason to join said guild.'
Natsu would just wing it. He push open the two doors to see inside the Guild Hall. Natsu expected people to be moving around the area. He expected life. What he got was everyone in the dumps. The entire Guild had turned to face him. It was a lot smaller than he expected but that's just how Fairy Tail is, they didn't allow just anyone into the guild.
"Who might you be?" Someone asked.
Natsu eyes lined to the one talking to him. Natsu didn't need any introduction, it is Master Makarov. The man is short given his old age. He had white side burns and a white color mustache. Makarov possessed black color iris's. He wore a blue and orange stripped color hat. A orange color jacket with the inside of the jacket being light blue. He wore a white t-shirt with the Fairy Tail insignia on said shirt. The insignia being black. The master had on a pair of orange pants and black color jester shoes.
"Natsu, no last name. I, however want to join the guild." He answered.
Makarov seemed to arch a brow at Natsu.
"Why?" He asked.
Natsu shrugged.
"I could lie to you but I'm not going too. I just want to join the guild. My turn, why are you guys zombies?" Natsu answered.
Everyone seemed rather unsure of whether to tell him or not and Natsu got crickets from them.
"Hmmm, I can't really allow you to join the Guild with just that reason but I appericate your honesty." Makarov said.
Natsu shrugged.
"Fine by me but why are you guys so dead?" Natsu asked again.
Natsu pushed to know the reason. The Guild didn't really trust this person as he was a new face to them. They planned not to tell him. Unfortunately for them, someone else didn't keep their silence.
"The Magic Council took Erza away on some false charges! She'll be punished for crimes she didn't commit!" A boy yelled out.
"Romeo!" Someone snapped at him.
"No! My dad is dead because of all of you!" The child screamed at them.
Natsu grew a frown at the information he was getting from the child. However, he should wait til he heard the whole story from both sides before making a decision. It didn't help that this, "Erza" is a priority. If Erza is important to Romeo, Natsu would drag her back here.
"Romeo is it?" Natsu asked.
The kid and him locked eyes. Romeo seemed about six years old. His eye color matched Makarov's but the boy had dark purple hair. He wore a green color shirt with a yellow, 's' on said shirt. The child had tan color shorts and brown color shoes.
"Yeah?" Romeo half answered and half asked.
"Who is Erza to you?" Natsu asked.
"She's my older sister. She went to find my dad."
Natsu gave him a smile of reassurance.
"Don't worry I'll get her back. I'll bring her back safe and sound." Natsu told the boy.
Romeo eyes shined with hope.
"You promise?" Romeo asked.
"Promise." Natsu answered.
Natsu turned around after addressing Romeo.
"Ah before I leave..." Natsu said.
Natsu turn his head to look at everyone with a smug expression.
"When it comes to family, rules are meant to be broken." Natsu stated.
Natsu walked right back out the guild. He had to go help someone, that took priority over whatever else that was on his plate. Makarov watched as Natsu left the Guild Hall. His pace having purpose.
"He can't be serious, he's going up against The Magic Council!" Someone shouted.
"Romeo that was meant for the Guild. Erza isn't in any serious trouble."
Romeo crossed his arms and turned his head up.
"That's what you kept telling me about my dad and now he is dead." Romeo said.
That surely made the atmosphere worse. Everyone seemed to fall into silence. Makarov looked outside. Maybe, there was more to that man than meet the eye.
The Magic Council, Fiore Division.
Erza would be taken through the halls of the judicial department. Erza, Erza Scarlet, better known as The Titania. Is a woman with long scarlet color hair and brown color iris's. She wore a suit of plated chest armor and gauntlets. These two shared the same silver color. Her chest armor had the Fairy Tail insignia above her heart. The insignia being red in color. However, a yellow cross theme rested over the insignia. She wore a blue skirt, black knee high boots along with a pair of diamond shape earrings. Her Fairy Tail stamp is more visible at certain angles. As it sat on the middle of her upper left arm. However, her shoulder had silver color shoulder guards that helped to hide the stamp in specific instances. A walking toad was next to her, the toad is humanoid and could therefore walk on two feet. The toad had on robes. The pair walked down a red carpet as they headed to a set of two doors that would lead into the trial room. However, a man would be leaning on one of the pillars inside the hallway. The male had made the two females stop in their tracks. Erza glared at the man. She recognized him. He was known as Jellal Fernandes. Jellal had blue color hair that is neatly kept while also having blue color eyes that showed nothing but scheming. He wore a red tattoo over his right eye. Jellal had on a white frock coat. The collar of his cloak would be lined with decorations. He had on a black color themed outfit. He wore a silver color ring on his right middle finger.
"Councilmen Siegrain!"
The toad bowed before the Councilmen while Erza held her glare. He got off of said pillar to walk over to Erza.
"Long time no see, Erza." Siegrain said.
Erza took a defensive stance and Siegrain took a more open stance to counter her.
"No need to take such a defensive posture. I'm a mere thought projection. My true body is still in Era." He spoke.
Erza didn't relent even if Jellal's body began to produce static noises and slightly fade at random intervals.
"Look all of the old farts beyond that door are also thought projections. There was no need to physically be present." Siegrain said.
"This was a set up by your people!?" Erza hissed at him.
Jellal looked hurt as if mocking Erza.
"I'm mortified, I have been Fairy Tail's adamant defender since day one. The thing with those geezers is that they are afraid that the blame will still fall to them. They're frantic about finding a scapegoat." Jellal said.
"Shut up!" Erza yelled at him with hostility.
Jellal shaked his head.
"No matter, there's only one reason I wanted to see you before the trials." Jellal said.
Jellal walk up to Erza. His thumb and forefinger cupped her chin while leaning in to whisper into her ear.
"Do not start speaking certain things to the old farts for both our sakes, hm?" Jellal said.
Erza settled down at the threat. She wasn't openly hostile but she did form a frown while bawling her hands into fists. Jellal stepped back.
"I'll be waiting on the other side." Jellal said.
Jellal's thought projection vanished leaving Erza and the toad alone.
"You know some important people." The Toad said.
"Evil people." Erza corrected.
Erza would be lead into the room. Sure enough, Jellal and the entire council were 'sitting' up on their respective podium. As they would act as the judge to Erza's trial. Erza herself stood at a podium located in front of the judges. She saw two other toads were ready to start recording the trial on the side of the room.
"This Trial of the Wizards will now commence, will The Defendant Erza Scarlet please take the stand."
Erza stepped up to the podium. She looked up to the judge that was in the middle. Erza knew that he was the Head of The Magic Council.
"Defendant Scarlet. Regarding the terrorist incidents the other day involving Eisenwald, you are called here to answer for these charges. The partial implosion of Oshibana Station, the collapse of the bridge spanning Ryusika Gorge and the demolition of The Clover Meet-"
An explosion went off behind Erza. As the doors to the trial room were sent crashing down behind her. As a loud reverberating noise crashed throughout the entire room. Erza jumped because she was actually startled by the act. The Member of The Council looked over her to see the person responsible.
"What is going on here?"
Ultear put up the white sleeve of her kimono to cover her mouth. She began to giggle at seeing Natsu being the one responsible when the dust settled. This is so like him. It was endearing. Jellal meanwhile was intrigued at Natsu's behavior. Natsu himself began talking in a nonchalant manner.
"This isn't even a proper trial. Where's the lawyer? Where is the jury? Is this a kangaroo court? Guess so."
Erza looked to her right to see Natsu standing next to her. A duffle bag hung over his shoulder but several orbs of light hanged above his head and shoulders. A confident look on his face with a grin on his lips. Who was this idiot!?
