Got the Forest Fire Blues!
Izuku just got himself in the running position and look serious that he is ready for this training session, but when he looks over to Katsuki seeing if he's ready for the training, his face became confused and somewhat concerning.
"Uh, Kacchan. You do know we're training right now." Izuku pointed out.
"Why are you dress like we're going to the beach?" Izuku asked.
Katsuki, for some reason, is wearing a floaty tube duck, googles, and web feet shoes, all those things for one to be prepared for a trip to the beach.
"I was at the beach early this morning with my girlfriends. Don't ask why." Katsuki answered.
"Wait, why go to the beach in the morni"
"I told you not to ask! You fucker!" Katsuki shouted in anger. Not wanting to share what he did at the beach with his girlfriends.
"So, what have you two done with Katsuki on the beach? You just got me really curious." Mina smirked as she leans over to Kyoka and La Brava with the former blushing.
"We may kiss, but we'll never tell." La Brava winked, assuring their friends that they won't tell anyone else how it went for the three lovers at the beach.
"Y-Yeah, what she said." Kyoka said, trying to keep up her cool look though the red color of her cheeks isn't helping with the cool act at all.
"You know, being snoozy like that is going to get you in trouble again like the time you and Toru tried to figure out what Slice was doing with all that pineapple and knives along with speaking with the Queen." Tsuyu mentioned that little adventure of theirs.
"Come on! That was one time! And how were we supposed to know that Slice was doing all of that for her mom's birthday!" Toru pointed out complaining.
"And it's not like she would tell us anyway because she wanted to keep it a secret as a surprise." Mina added.
Mirko and Melissa are walking together toward the boys at the starting line.
"Alright boys, today you're going to be racing each other from here in the stadium through the city and the jungle making it all the way to the statue of the Goddess Nana. You will be relying purely on speed, and NO attacking each other since this is going to be just a race." Mirko glared at Katsuki.
"Yeah, yeah, I know the drill." Katsuki nodded, even though he really wanted to have another fight with Deku or any of the other Amazon warriors today.
"To know your way around the course of the race, Mei and Melissa have placed these gold skulls to show you the way. Follow them and you won't have any issues." Mirko mentioned.
"To be honest, I didn't want to do the markers to his training race to be skulls. I actually wanted them to look like seagulls, but Mei must've misheard me and made a bunch of these golden skulls instead." Melissa explained her part.
"I'm sure the seagulls would've been great for this training race." Izuku complimented her, making Melissa blush.
"Anyway, we've also added a few obstacles throughout the course, you'll need to be really quick in order to dodge them and no, you cannot destroy them, Katsuki. The purpose of this training is for your speed alone and no combat." Melissa reminded him.
"Fine! But don't come crying to me if one of your toys end up breaking from the shockwave of my explosive power!" Katsuki yelled.
Melissa rolled her eyes with a smile, having been on this island for only a few days.
"Hope you're ready for second place." Izuku smirked.
"Like I'm ever going to lose to you. That is never going to happen!" Katsuki smirked back, using his power to rip off the float and other stuff before getting into position.
"On your mark…" Melissa held up a red flag.
"Get set." Izuku powered up his One for All while Katsuki is getting ready to use his Explosion power to give himself a speed boost.
They waited for what felt like minutes even though it has only been a few seconds until Melissa gave the signal.
"GO!" Melissa waved the red flag down.
In that instant moment, Izuku and Katsuki blitzes past Melissa almost making her fall on her butt.
Izuku and Katsuki go racing in a single loop from within the stadium then going right outside following the path of the golden skull markers, and they also have to be careful with what they're about to run into and dodge them with their reaction time as they race on.
The city is a little hard for the them as they have to constantly dodge some of the Amazon women and other things in their way like carts, weapons being displayed outside, and making sure they don't break anything.
And if that wasn't hard enough, the obstacles Melissa mentioned have popped out to try slowing them down such as laser firing and traps like nets ad cages, but they always burst through each time.
Katsuki managed to take the lead when he forces one cage that he got himself trap in to open from top and used that top as a launching pad for his Explosion to launch himself like a human rocket.
"(I need to get catch up or else he's gonna win!)" Izuku thought decided to increase the power of his Quirk by a few more precents.
Izuku tries his best to catch up with his childhood friend to see if he could take back the lead, but Katsuki is too stubborn to give up that easily and kept on bursting his power forward to keep the lead for he intends to finish this all the way to the end.
Katsuki saw that he was about to approach a big wall in one alleyway as the golden skull markers are showing him that the rest of the course is over the wall.
"Guess that's how we'll get to the jungle." Katsuki figured out.
Katsuki slides his feet on the ground as he gets closer to the wall while putting his hands together to make dozens of little explosions conducting them into his hands, then he slams them down at the ground to blast himself high above the wall seeing the jungle ahead.
"See if you can keep up with me now, Deku!" Katsuki blasted himself right at the jungle.
"I'm not giving up that easily." Izuku smiled, feeling like he's gonna have to really push himself a little more.
Izuku jump just a few feet in the air and tighten his fist throwing it down to the ground for the force of his punch sending him flying over to the top of the wall, then grabbing onto the wall planting both feet to the side and propel himself in a straight line over the trees.
"I hope you don't mind if I borrow this move from you, Kacchan." Izuku crossed his arms together.
"Power Wind Boost!" Izuku thrusted his hands to the side and back with motion to cause wind blowing from behind to give him an extra push in the air.
Izuku knew that he would still need to catch up with Katsuki and get ahead of him in the race despite being close to him, then he gets an idea on something he remembers from watching the nature documentary channel.
Izuku landed on a tree branch and then started jumping fast from another and then another and another and so on, this kind of pace helps certain animals when they travel by trees.
"(Yes! This is working!)" Izuku thought smiled proudly of his plan.
When Katsuki made another explosion as he was about to go below the trees, Izuku finally managed to zoom past the explosive young hero and jump fast and swift with his legs.
"What the fuck?!" Katsuki gasped loudly.
"Sorry, Kacchan, but this race is mine!" Izuku proclaimed and moves on ahead.
"Not on your life!" Katsuki shouted as he blasted forward to catch up.
Then more obstacle things appeared during the race trying to stop the boys though not by much as they kept on dodging them and getting around by using the trees as shields and getting closer and closer to the statue of the Goddess Nana.
"I'm going to win this!" Katsuki shouted, putting more power into his exploding speed boost.
"Not on my watch!" Izuku refused to give up the fight.
The boys kept on running the fastest they could with their Quirks giving them the boost as they get closer to the statue by the second, they would even bump their shoulders onto each other a few times to make one slower, but neither of them is budging an inch.
The final stretch came as they reach out for the statue, and it looks like this is going to end in a tie.
But something happens to Izuku with One for All as it suddenly increases from the 10%, he has been using this entire time in this race, the power just increases again going up to 12% or slightly higher that gave him the need to push on ahead for his hand to touch the statue first.
"NO!" Katsuki screamed in rage.
"I did it! I won!" Izuku smiled, panting from all that running have left him exhausted, but it was worth it.
"Shit! This is going to fuck me up for days!" Katsuki growled.
"Just you wait, Deku! I'm going to get you back for this." Katsuki said.
"Sure, whatever you say. I'll be ready to take on your rage as always." Deku smiled.
Katsuki scoffs at that stupid face he's making and turns around knowing this is how it's always been between him and Deku, that no matter how many times he pushed the damn nerd away, he'd just keep on getting back up and running after him like dog that doesn't want to leave him alone.
Now it looks like Izuku has been running so much that he has now been able to run side-by-side with him and even getting ahead of him more times than he expected.
Katsuki doesn't like to admit this, at least not out loud, but he can see that Deku is not the same weak nerd he always knew and has become a strong guy in his own right to call himself a hero.
"(You may have beaten me this time, but I'm going to keep on getting stronger to surpass again!)" Katsuki thought promised with a smirk.
"Come on, we should head back." Katsuki stood up and begin walking.
Izuku was about to, but his nose caught something in the air that didn't feel right.
"Kacchan, do you smell smoke?" Izuku asked.
Katsuki was confused at first until he too smells the smoke which is weird because he made sure his Explosion Quirk wouldn't make any fire in the woods, but he notices the smell is coming from a different direction than where they came from.
"It's coming from over there." Katsuki pointed the way.
Izuku look over in that direction feeling like something over there is not right, but he couldn't put his finger on it, yet.
"Give me a sec." Izuku bended down and made one piece jump give himself airborne about over the trees.
He narrows his eyes to see if there is something odd with the smell of smoke, and his eyes widen when he spotted where the smoke is coming from. Within another area of the jungle there is fire burning several trees though the fire seems to be the oddest because it's blue color instead of the normal ones.
"Blue flames." Izuku said, fearing that is a sign of something really bad.
"Well, what did you see?" Katsuki asked.
"Blue fire." Izuku answered.
"What?" Katsuki was confused.
"I know it sounds bizarre, but it's true. There is literally a forest fire of blue flames burning some trees over there, and I don't think that is natural for blue flames to suddenly appear out of nowhere!" Izuku explained.
"So, there's a sudden forest fire and from the looks of it, I say it just started recently. Probably not too long ago during our race." Katsuki deduced on when this fire started.
"Not only that, but it was done by someone who has just arrived on this island." Izuku believed that someone from the outside world has set foot on the island.
"No need to think any more of this because it's obvious this is from that big evil thing Goddess Nana warned us about." Katsuki pointed out with a slight growl.
"But why now? He hasn't made any moves on us since that beach battle, not to mention the timing of sudden arrival could mean something else." Izuku tried to figure out what is going on here.
"No needs to figure this out when we know where the enemy is, and I'm going over there to kill them!" Katsuki stated.
"Hold on, we should at least alert Queen Mirko and the Amazon warriors about the…" Izuku was cut off when Katsuki left the scene explosively. "…forest fire." He sighed.
He should've known better that Katsuki wouldn't wait for anything, so he might as well go with him.
"I hope we can stop this before the fire is spread more in the jungle." Izuku prayed.
(Where the Fire is Happening)
"I know if this has gotten anyone's attention?" Dabi asked while having his hand on one street, and a blue flame burns from between.
"If this doesn't do the trick then I don't know what will." Dabi cracked his neck.
"Still, I can't exactly go back emptyhanded. Not without finding the damn bitch and bring her to the boss." Dabi remembered his mission. Hopefully, there won't be any much trouble.
Then his ears caught the sound of something coming this way right now.
"Oh, looks like I am about to have company." Dabi grinned.
Right on cue, Katsuki came bursting through some trees seeing the new guy.
"I take it you're the fucker who decided to play with fire in the middle of the goddamn forest!" Katsuki smirked, feeling like he just found himself a challenge.
"Maybe I am. What are you gonna do about it?" Dabi asked sarcastically.
"I'm gonna roast you to Hell!" Katsuki shouted his answer and zooms at Dabi for a flying spin kick to the head.
Dabi was slightly surprised by the incredible speed, but that wouldn't be enough to get him as he ducks down to dodge the kick and held one hand facing the kid with fiery blue sparks emitting from that hand.
"This is how I play with fire." Dabi smirked.
The blue sparks burst into a big blue fire that goes right at Katsuki like a large blowtorch aiming right at the kid, but Katsuki was able to react fast to dodge the blue fire though he did get a tiny bit burn on his arm and the leg he used for the kick.
"The hell! You have powers too?" Katsuki was shocked.
"Sounds like you don't know about us yet. Doesn't matter, I'm only here on this nowhere island for one thing and then I'll be on my way." Dabi said.
"Oh, so you're on a little errand. And you came here because there is something on this island that your big boss wants something so badly." Katsuki guessed with a smirk.
"Wow, you're smarter than you look." Dabi commented.
"But I don't think it was very smart to fight someone who can burn your lonely ass!" Dabi unleashed another of his blue fires at Katsuki.
"Please!" Katsuki thrusted both hands together to create an exploding attack to fight the blue flame.
"As much as I love to fight you by myself. That stupid nerd just won't leave me alone." Katsuki said.
That is when Izuku appeared right above Dabi on his left with one fist ready and threw a strong uppercut by the time Dabi realize this, it was too late, and he was sent flying and crash into a tree though he isn't down for the count.
"Kacchan, that man, he has powers just like us." Izuku pointed out.
"I know that already, idiot!" Katsuki yelled.
"Anyway, he's also here for something on the island. That's why he started this fire." Katsuki informed.
"I see, then we gotta stop him before he ends up burning the entire island to get what he came here for." Izuku got into his fighting stance.
"That would be tempting, but I'm under orders to get the bitch who managed to escape from us, but that mistake will soon be corrected. Once I'm finish with you two." Dabi smirked, confusing and worrying the two heroes.
KO a new chapter is done and hope you all enjoy it!
Dabi has arrived on the island starting a blue forest fire to get some attention, and now he has to deal with Katsuki and Izuku though it looks like he isn't that worried to fight against two kids, and who could be this someone Dabi is trying to get?
