Chapter One Hundred and Twenty-Eight

Please Hold on!

Meanwhile, after Megatron had managed to get hold of the Power Source, he and had returned to the Nemesis, thinking that the Autobots had returned to their hidden base with the wounded Kemeko.

With one of their earthling friends hurt, he believed that would keep them busy until he was able to do what he needed with the Power Source to fix the Space-Bridge.

What he didn't know was that Optimus, Bulkhead and Ironhide had managed to climb onto the Nemesis whilst it was on the ground and they were crawling up the side of it to get inside.

Inside the command room, Knock Out was going over the details of the work they were doing to repair the space bridge.

"The Power Source will be rigged in no time, Lord Megatron." he said pleased "We are nearly at the construction site."

"Nearly isn't good enough!" the Warlord snapped "The Sphere's are aligning! I must not miss my moment to..." he paused for a moment and stood still as his eyes widened and the look of shock appeared on his face.

"Lord Megatron?" Knock Out asked concerned cocking his head as he looked at his Master.

Airachnid also looked over curiously from her area in the command room seeing the warlord freeze on the spot.

"Are you alright?" Knock Out asked but Megatron didn't acknowledge him as he began talking to himself.

"Yet again, it is if I can hear Unicron's thoughts!"

"Unicron?" Airachnid asked "The Chaos Bringer?"

"They say Dark Energon is his blood!" Knock Out explained as he wiggled his digits in emphasis.

"Heh! Whatever!" he scoffed.

"Complete the Space Bridge!" Megatron ordered looking over his shoulder at the red medic and the Spider-Bot "There is something I must attend to."

He then walked down the long platform and Knock Out and Airachnid watched him.

"Does he seem to be losing it?" the medic asked.

"A bit." Airachnid replied, a small smirk curling in the corner of her mouth as she analysed the Warlord as he walked away.

Back in the Autobot silo, Ratchet had opened up the Ground-bridge and the Hamato Clan saw a van drive in, followed closely by Tyroth flying in with Sephie on his back, along with the geckolings and the other Chicago Knights.

The Van braked sharply and the mutants saw it was Jun driving and Old George was in the front seat.

As soon as the tiger stopped the van, James and Dahlia stumbled out of the back, both wearing their white coats and carrying equipment.

"Guys!" Donatello cried "Thank the Gods!"

"Out of the way!" James barked, his eyes narrowed, Dahlia close behind him.

They soon approached Leonardo and Kemeko.

"Leo! Move!" James ordered to which Leonardo hesitated as he didn't want to let go of his daughter.

"Let them do their job!" Raphael said as he tried to pull his older brother away from Kemeko.

"No..." Leonardo whimpered but Raphael and Michelangelo pulled him away and James had to practically push him away so he could analyse Kemeko.

Ratchet ran his scanned over Kemeko's body as she lay there.

"Measuring the extent of the absorption should determine the course of treatment." Ratchet said as the Chimpanzee and Wolf looked over the human girl.

James put on his stethoscope to listen to her pulse whilst Dahlia checked Kemeko's wrist for life.

"If we don't get this girl stabilized now, she will not leave this table alive! Do you understand me?" James demanded.

Ratchet gasped in alarm when he hears that and his spark pulsed faster as the Chimpanzee's words sunk in.

"What!?" Leonardo exclaimed "No! No!"

"My son!" Splinter tried to calm his hysterical eldest son, but it was difficult as he was scared too.

"Oh God!" Monalisa cried and looked at her phone again and still frustrated she hadn't been able to get hold of Pandora "How am I going to explain this to Pandora!"

"What happened here?" Tyroth asked and his eyes widened as he saw Kemeko, and Sephie and the Knights were equally shocked, as were Jun and George as they got out of the van.

"KEMEKO!" the Geckolings cried, and Sonia gasped as they tried to get close but Percy, Jack and Heather held them back and Kate ran up to Michelangelo who was still trying to hold Leonardo back with Raphael.

Monalisa looked on anxiously and at the same time was trying to phone Pandora but she couldn't get through to her.

Sephie ran to her sister in spirit.

"What happened?" she asked.

"Megatron zapped Bumblebee and Kemeko was inside!" Monalisa reported.

"MEGATRON?!" Tyroth bellowed.

"He did this?!" the twins exclaimed and Loki's eyes flashed.

"I'm gonna kill him!" he shouted then he noticed Pandora was nowhere to be seen.

"Hey, where's Pandora?" he asked.

"With Culpepper at a drive-in theatre outside the nearest town here!" Monalisa reported "She must have switched off her Shell Cell!"

"Dammit!" Sonia cried.

Just then another car was heard coming into the silo via another ground bridge and parked up next to the van and April and Casey appeared.

"Guys?" Casey called as he opened the door on the drivers side and April got out the other side, almost tripping as she did.

"Red! Thank goodness!" James called over.

April didn't look at anyone as she ran to assist James and Dahlia.

"What happened?" she asked to which Dahlia explained.

"Oh my God!" April said as she looked over the seemingly lifeless girl

"Her conditions declining rapidly!"

"We're doing what we can April!" Dahlia said "This girl's life is in danger!"

Just then, Bumblebee clenched his fists and he bleeped and whirred in anger and frustration when he heard the Earthling medic's words and he turned and punched the wall, making everyone jump and get out of the way to avoid falling concrete.

Even Leonardo was pulled from his hysteria at the sudden behaviour of the scout.

Arcee stepped in and pushed the scout up against the wall before he could do anymore damage.

"BEE!" she shouted "Listen! You think I don't know how it feels to watch a partner..." she paused for a second.

"Harmed?" she asked making sure to take care with her words and holding onto the hope Kemeko could be saved.

"Revenge won't help Kemeko right now!" she said "You need to keep your emotions in check!"

Bumblebee vented and he let his shoulders drop and Arcee let go of him and he looked over to Kemeko still laying on the hospital trolley with James, Dahlia and Donatello working on her and he placed a servo on his head in stress and sadness for his human friend.

"Arcee is right Leonardo!" Splinter said bringing Leonardo's attention to him, "You must stay calm, for your daughter's sake."

Leonardo's shoulders shook and he burst into sobs, a pitiful sight and he fell on his knees.

Raphael and Michelangelo let go of him and Splinter knelt down with him and held his son close letting him sob.

"I'm here, I'm here my son." he said.

Leonardo sobbed hard, but at the same time, he prayed hard to the universe that Kemeko would live.

"Karai...Chaplin, Yoshi, Tang Shen...please...let her be alright..."

After they had let go of their brother, Raphael and Michelangelo went to their respected mates.

Kate held Michelangelo close and stroked his shell as they prayed for Kemeko.

Raphael held Monalisa's shoulders as she tried again and again to phone Pandora but to no avail.

"How is out Geisha going to take this?" Monalisa asked "This will kill her!"

Raphael squeezed his wife's shoulders yet he didn't know what to say and he looked back at Kemeko who had four medics surrounding her and trying to save her life.

As the others watched, they all stood close and prayed hard for Kemeko.

Tyroth clenched his fists as he tried to keep calm yet he entertained thoughts of going after Megatron for what he did to his sweet human niece and his best friend's daughter.

George leaned on his cane as a couple of tears fell.

"Please, save her, please..." he whispered.

Jun clenched his fists and bounced a little anxiously.

"You can save her guys." he said "You just gotta!"

Sephie hugged Freya and Loki close as she watched.

Sonia held her hands clasped together against her chin as she prayed hard.

Heather, Sarah, Jack, Sharky and Percy held hands as they prayed together and Jake and Amber held each other close.

"Please don't take her..." Amber wept into Jake's chest as he stroked her hair and shushed her gently, yet his own tears fell as he looked at the lifeless girl.

Devina had been praying in her own tongue for Kemeko then then paused as she looked at her hands then at Kemeko as an idea came to her.

"Of course!" she thought "Curse me to the Nine Hells! How could I have forgotten?"

She ran over to where Kemeko lay.

"Guys!" she said.

"Not now Devina!" James growled yet Dahlia looked over.

"What is it?" she asked.

"My magic!" the Vampiress said "Maybe I can try?"

"But Devina." James said "How can your magic help? You can close up wounds, but radiation poisoning?"

"Look!" Devina said her red eyes flashing and her fangs showing "Are you going to tell me what I can and can't do or are you going to let me try?"

James narrowed his eyes.

"Just let her!" Dahlia said placing her hand on her mentor's arm.

James gritted his teeth but he reluctantly nodded and stepped back.

"Go ahead!" he consented to which Devina thanked him with a nod of her head and stood next to Kemeko's bed.

"What is she doing?" Ratchet questioned as he saw the Vampiress go over to Kemeko and she hovered her hands over Kemeko's forehead and chest.

Donatello looked at Devina then at Ratchet.

"She has her abilities." he said looking back at Devina who concentrated hard as her hands began to glow.

"I'll explain later."

The other Autobots watched in amazement as well as shock as they saw Devina's hands glow.

'What's going on?" Arcee asked and Bumblebee who had been sitting next to Kemeko's trolley with his head in his hands in worry and stress looked up and watched.

April crossed her fingers as she watched and she hoped Devina's powers could help Kemeko or at least buy her some time until they could find out a way to save her.

Back on the Nemesis in another area of the ship, several vehichons were guarding the power source they had stolen to mend the Space Bridge ready for Knock Out to give them instructions when they reached the concruction site.

Just then a crashing sound was heard and one of the guards looked over his shoulder wondering who or what caused it.

But then someone landed on the ground behind him and he turned around to see Bulkhead appear!

The guard was alarmed but didn't have a chance to fight when Bulkhead smashed his head in with his wrecking ball then swiped at another guard who came at him.

Ironhide then used his drill to strike one guard in the face, growling as he did.

He still had Kemeko's motionless form in Arcee's arms in his head and he never felt so angry.

Optimus meanwhile attacked two other guards slashing with his blades and shooting another away.

Ironhide then went for the last one by shooting him in the chest then driving his drill in the side of his head.

"That's for Kemeko!" he shouted furiously then looked around to see all the guards were down for the count.

Optimus looked at Ironhide then vented to control himself, then he commed Ratchet.

"Ratchet." he said "How is Kemeko?"

"it is too soon to know..." Ratchet's broken voice was heard on the other end.

"He's in good hands." Optimus comforted the medic.

"Not mine Optimus." Ratchet replied "Curse my Cybertronian Pride!" he lamented "We've accepted these organics into our lives yet I've bothered to learn so little of their science or medicine!"

"Pull yourself together old friend." Optimus told him "Kemeko needs you."

"And I have grown to need her..." Ratchet replied, his voice breaking slightly.

"Lock onto my co-ordinates and activate the Ground-Bridge." Optimus requested, he then looked over to see Bulkhead and Ironhide carrying the power source between them.

"Ready!" Bulkhead called over, and as he said that, the ground bridge opened before him and Ironhide.

"Bulkhead, Ironhide, return to base." Optimus said "There is something, I must do."

"What? Serious?" Bulkhead asked.

"What did ya say Prime?" Ironhide exclaimed.

"I have been foolish not to see what history has proven over and over again." Optimus informed the two mechs and he looked to one of the fallen guards.

"That Autobots and Decepticons will never mend their ways, if there can be no diplomatic solution to this perpetual conflict, then I must allow no more darkness to fall upon this, or any planet!"

Bulkhead and Ironhide looked at each other in question then back at Optimus who looked up and they almost recoiled as his eyes flashed in anger.

"Megatron must be destroyed!" Optimus snarled.

Kemeko's life hangs in the balance despite the help she's getting from the medics, both Hamato, Human and Mutopian alike.

Meanwhile Prime is ready to take Megatron down for what he did to Kemeko.
