CHAPTER 2 IS PUBLISHED !
Seeing Gajeel and Chelsea flying towards Run, Akame affirmed.
"We must take advantage of this! Let's stay on course towards the cathedral! Mine, prepare Pumpkin! The mission must continue."
However, not wanting to let them go, Run targeted them before creating a new rain of feathers.
"You're not going anywhere."
" IRON DRAGON'S GUILLOTINE ! "
Quickly swinging his axe-turned arm, Gajeel created a sharp wind, which slammed into Run's feathers, stopping the projectiles and cutting them in two.
"Don't you dare look away! I'm your opponent, Angel-guy."
"Tsss! Don't you dare bother me any further." Run ordered him.
"The only one in the way here is you! Chelsea, attack!"
However, having to fly while carrying Gajeel, Chelsea had some difficulty moving and this was shown by her speed. Seeming to fly in slow motion, she was unable to go any faster.
"Hey, what are you doing?" Gajeel asked.
"It's your fault," Chelsea retorted. "Are you too heavy?"
"What do you mean 'too heavy'? Don't tell me a cat is stronger than you."
"Shut up! I'm not used to this body! Normally, it takes me a while to get used to it."
"You're really useless."
"One more comment like that and I'll drop you."
Hearing them arguing, Run began to sigh.
"I couldn't continue to pursue your comrades as long as you prevent me from doing so."
Suddenly flapping his wings faster, he created a powerful current of air before forming a real cyclone. Being hit by the attack, the duo in front of him found themselves forced to back away. Then moving in his own tornado, Run let himself be carried by the wind in order to find himself in front of Gajeel.
And before the dragon slayer could react, a kick hit him above the head. Accidentally letting go, Chelsea saw him crash below. Now alone against Run, she began to growl before finally making needles appear between her fingers. Trying to outpace the man, she tried to hit him at the neck.
However, knowing full well what she was planning to do, Run managed to grab her wrists without any problem to stop her.
"You're way too predictable."
Yet, suddenly resuming her original form, Chelsea took advantage of the lengthening of her limbs to hit Run in the chin, using her knee. Feeling his jaws snap, Run let go of her and let her fall.
Reverting to Lily's form in time, Chelsea let herself float before landing on the ground of the city. Groaning not far from her, Gajeel pulled himself out of the crater he had made when he landed, all the while holding his skull.
"Tssssss! This time, I'm going to make you regret it, Angel-guy."
Yet, taking another step forward, he felt his legs wobble as he placed his hand on his neck. Seeing him do this, Chelsea quickly realized that the bandage Susanoo had made around his neck had turned red.
" His wound has reopened. "
"This is the end for you." Run stated, throwing more feathers at Gajeel.
" IRON DRAGON'S ROAR ! "
Creating a tornado to counter the sharp feathers, Gajeel could only be stunned, seeing the projectiles suddenly change course to dodge his attack. Once done, they then headed towards Chelsea. Taking on Lily's appearance, she flew into the air to find herself out of their paths.
"That won't work," Run retorted. "You won't be able to run away."
Indeed, changing direction again, the feathers turned around to return towards Chelsea.
" That … ? "
Giving her a powerful shoulder charge, Gajeel threw her to the side to find himself in her place. And not having time to defend himself, he was hit by all the attacks until it ended.
Then dropping down in front of him, Run placed one foot on the ground, before stating.
"Night Raid can't defeat the Jaegers! Face it."
" Gajeel ! " Cria Chelsea.
"Shut up." The man ordered him. "Your annoying voice is assaulting my eardrums."
Looking at him, Run could only show astonishment, as he saw Gajeel's bloodied body still standing.
"But how can you still be alive? You shouldn't even be able to stand on your feet."
"You talk too much." Gajeel growled. "But in truth, I also have two things to tell you."
" Huh ? "
"First, know that no matter what happens, our target, Borrick, will be dead before he can see the sun rise tomorrow morning."
"Huh? And the second thing?"
"You're going to... lose." Gajeel assured him.
Yet, caught up in his injuries, he eventually let himself fall forward and crashed face down on the ground. Seeing him do this, Run sighed.
"Honestly, I don't really enjoy killing guys like you! However, you're far too dangerous for me to let you go."
So preparing to attack him again, he distinguished the silhouette transformed from Chelsea into a large bird, before seizing Gajeel. Once done, she headed as far away from Run as possible before Run could react.
"Hey!" he shouted. "Can I know where you're going?"
Spreading his wings, he decided to chain attacks and propelled a multitude of projectiles towards Chelsea. Knowing how to aim, the young woman had the greatest difficulty dodging each of his projectiles. Zigzagging and pirouetting in the sky, she did her best to use the different roofs as shields. But that was without counting on the fact that Run started following her.
"You will not escape."
"Damn it! When are you going to give up? We have no desire to fight you."
Suddenly, with a cry of pain, Chelsea felt two feathers go through one of her wings, causing her to lose the use of her winged limb. Unable to fly anymore, she crashed onto a roof while Run landed on a chimney.
"Flight is useless."
Raising his arm to order another shower of feathers, he was surprised when a hand grabbed his wrist to stop him.
"Huh?" he wondered, turning around.
Behind him, having appeared on the roof with the help of a black hole, the old bald man responsible for Natsu and Gajeel's appearance in this world was the one who had just prevented him from attacking.
"If I were you, I would stop right now."
"Huh? And may I know who you are?"
"My name doesn't matter."
"In that case, why are you helping these people? Are you a member of Night Raid?"
"No! I'm just protecting them because they represent the generation that will save the empire."
"The generation?" Chelsea and Run repeated.
Immediately, pulling the Jaeger with him, the old bald man forced him into his black hole.

But before he could attack him, Run disappeared along with him inside the black hole, which closed right behind them.

Waiting for a few seconds, she found that she was now alone, while the mysterious old man had managed to take Run with him.
"Who... Who was he?"
However, noticing that there was more important, she walked over to Gajeel and transformed into Susanoo so she could carry him on her shoulder.
"I hope Mine and Akame succeed in their mission."
"It's been a long time, Najenda."
Entering the room where Borick, Kurome, and Esdeath were, Najenda began to stare at her enemy without saying anything.
"And I see you're accompanied by several people I could play with later! As well as Tatsumi, himself."
Still hidden under his armor, Tatsumi began to growl before understanding.
" Wave told you about me. "
"Indeed! However, I admit that I don't know what to do with you afterwards! By joining Night Raid, you have committed the worst betrayal against me! However, I have no desire to kill you! Therefore, be kind enough to stay out of this fight and wait for me to finish it! By then, I will have made a decision concerning you."
"As if I'm going to stand still." Tatsumi roared. "I came here to fight you, Esdeath! Don't doubt for a moment that I don't dare hit you."
"Tatsumi, Leone and you were aiming to prevent Kurome from getting in our way and to kill, if possible, Borick! If Akame's group can't get here it will be our priority to kill him ourselves! Susanoo, Natsu, with me to fight Esdeath."
"Natsu?" Esdeath repeated, staring at the pink-haired boy. "Oh, so you're the famous Natsu! The one who managed to hit me once as well as kill Bols! I've been dying to see you again."
" Why that ? "
Suddenly snapping her fingers, Esdeath caused a huge block of ice to appear above her, which she dropped in Night Raid's direction.
"To exterminate you, of course."
" Susanoo ! "
Immediately, jumping into the air, the teigu used his mace to strike the block of ice with force until it was broken. However, as soon as this was done, he did not notice, until the last moment, Esdeath create another block that she threw straight towards him.
"Can you handle this one?"
Barely having time to react, Susanoo saw Natsu stand in front before stopping the block of ice with his bare hands.
" Que … ? "
"You said you wanted to meet me?" The mage wanted to know, as value appeared at his hands. "Perfect, I wanted to fight you too."
Raising his body heat, he used it to melt the block at high speed. Transforming into a multitude of water droplets falling to the ground, the attack disappeared and left Esdeath with a glimpse of Natsu, who was staring at her.
"Because of your actions, the people of this empire are suffering! Every day, people are dying because of you! I will not let you claim any more victims."
"Oh? And what do you plan to do?" Esdeath asked, as ice formed around her feet.
"Defeat you." Natsu assured, letting his flames surround his body.
Looking at each other, the two enemies caused half of the room to freeze, as well as heat up the air on the other side of the room. Finally, raising her hands, Esdeath screamed.
" GRAUHORN ! "
" FIRE DRAGON'S ROAR ! "
Appearing by the dozen, numerous ice spears shot towards Natsu, while the dragon slayer created a tornado of fire. Hitting each other, the two attacks matched each other. And while a cloud of steam began to form, neither opponent backed down from the other. Feeling a current of icy air hit him, Borrick took refuge behind his seat, all the while wanting to know.
"But who are these monsters?"
Stepping back, Tatsumi and the others could see the walls and benches in the room either becoming covered in ice or starting to catch fire.
Finally, when the cloud of steam enveloped them, Esdeath and Natsu stopped their attack to charge at each other.
" FIRE DRAGON'S FIST ! "
" ICE WALL ! "
Creating an ice shield in front of her, Esdeath managed to stop Natsu's fist. Then, making her protection disappear, she drew her sword to direct it towards his throat. Tilting his body backwards, Natsu saw the weapon pass in front of his eyes, while he dodged it in extremis.
Yet, far from losing his cool, he then straightened up before lifting one of his legs to swing it towards Esdeath's face.
" FIRE DRAGON'S CLAW ! "
" ICE ARMOR ! "
Brandishing her arm in front of her face, Esdeath covered it in a layer of solid ice that allowed her to resist Natsu's attack. Spinning around, the mage ignited his second leg while Esdeath swung her reinforced arm towards her face.
Immediately, the cloud of steam disappeared under the impact, while everyone could see Natsu and Esdeath hitting each other in the face.
" Natsu ! "
" General ! "
Both of them stepping back, the two opponents sized each other up, before Esdeath let out an exclamation of joy.
"Hahaha! How amusing! I've been looking for someone to entertain me for ages! I felt like I had to wait until Wendy got stronger to finally find an opponent worthy of me! However, you'll do just fine."
Then making a rain of stalagmites rain down, she dropped them on Natsu to see how he would react.
Deciding to intervene nonetheless, Susanoo spun his mace to destroy her attacks one by one, before being pierced by two of them.
"Good work!" Borick rejoiced.
However, he was horrified to see the teigu's injuries disappear while he appeared extremely calm.
"This is the organic teigu of our relationship." Esdeath understood. "This is getting really interesting."
"Natsu! Don't rush in without thinking." Susanoo advised him. "Who knows what she might be up to?"
"Don't worry, I'm strong enough to face him."
"It's not a matter of strength." Susanoo retorted. "This time, there's no way we can leave here without defeating her! From now on, the empire is counting on us! Don't let your personal feelings and desire to fight get the better of you."
Listening to him, Natsu ended up slapping him on the back, before affirming.
"Don't worry! No matter what happens, I don't plan on losing to her! Are you ready?"

Immediately, the duo ran towards Esdeath, while the woman continued to bombard them with a rain of stalactites.
Creating a fireball in his groin, Natsu eventually threw it towards the projectiles.
" FIRE DRAGON'S BRILLIANT FLAME ! "
Taking advantage of the fact that Natsu's attack collided with Esdeath's and created a new cloud of mist, Susanoo hid in it to get closer to Esdeath. However, seeming to sense his presence, the general placed his hand on the ground.
" ICE TREE ! "
Immediately, a huge ice spike rose from the ground and impaled the teigu.

" FIRE DRAGON'S HORN ! "
Then seeing Natsu running towards her, head first, Esdeath, simply let her body tilt to the side, to avoid his charge, to then create a block of ice in her hands.

Then rocketing towards the mage, the block hit Natsu's back, before throwing him and crushing him against a wall.

Swinging her sword to the side, she managed to deflect Leone's claws to the side. Then, once she was closer, she stabbed her through the stomach with her weapon.

Getting ready to execute her, Esdeath however stepped back, while Najenda's mechanical arm had been sent in her direction. Taking advantage of this, Leone jumped back to return near Najenda. Using his weapon, Susanoo struck the giant spike and managed to destroy it and free himself. As for Natsu, he let out a powerful roar before his flames reduced the block of ice to nothing, while destroying part of the wall in the process.
"Huh, who are these guys?" Borick asked in alarm. "They're standing up to Esdeath like it's nothing."
The general, on the contrary, was in complete ecstasy.
"Again! Entertain me again and again! LARGE ICE PROJECTILES! "
Creating many huge spears, she threw them towards her four opponents, who quickly ran in all directions to dodge them. However, being able to follow them with her eyes, Esdeath ended up jumping to find herself in front of Najenda.
" That … ? "
"Don't worry, we'll have more time to chat." Esdeath assured him, with a cruel smile. "In the torture room."
Then, hitting her neck with the edge of her hand, she managed to make her lose consciousness.
"Asshole!" Leone roared, running towards her.
" FIRE DRAGON'S WINGS !" Natsu shouted, attacking him from the other direction.
Seeing them charging like this, Esdeath created two walls of ice to protect herself. Hitting the first one, Leone barely scratched it. As for the second wall, it appeared right in front of Natsu and formed in such a way as to trap his arm inside.
"What…? I'm stuck."
Immediately heading towards him, Esdeath jumped in his direction, before snapping her fingers. Immediately, her wall disappeared, thus freeing Natsu. However, barely able to realize it, he felt Esdeath's hand rest on his chest.
"This is the end for you! COLD DEATH !"
Immediately, Natsu's eyes widened, as he felt like ice materialized in his body. In fact, the ice formed all around his heart before immediately freezing it. Feeling it stop beating, Natsu found himself paralyzed in the space of a second. Then, finally falling backwards, he collapsed to the ground, under the panicked and helpless gaze of his friends.
" NATSU ! "
"There's no point in trying to wake him up." Esdeath assured. "Compared to the other day when he managed to free himself from a block of ice, this time I froze his heart directly! Furthermore, all the blood near that organ will gradually freeze, freezing his entire body! This time, it will be impossible for him to survive."
"Ba... Bastard!" Leone roared, pointing her claws at her.
"Unforgivable!" Susanoo said, positioning his club in front of him.
"Don't let your anger get the better of you." Najenda ordered them. "If we mess up, we'll end up like Natsu."

Ignoring his question, Natsu looked at his table to see Lucy and Wendy chatting together... Erza eating a strawberry shortcake... Happy enjoying a fish before making a remark to Lily and Carla.
Hidden behind a wooden pole, Juvia observed them from afar, focusing all her attention on Gray, while Gajeel, with a guitar in his hand, was singing on stage.
Everyone was present, even Makarov, with a glass of beer in his hand, talking with Mirajane.
"Everything… Everyone?"
Sitting back in his chair, he said.
"Yeah! Was it a dream? Wasn't all of this just true? In the end, I never left the guild! Night Raid... Jaegers... Esdeath... None of this existed! I just imagined this story."
Yet, for some reason, Natsu felt like he was freezing from the inside out, but it didn't bother him that much. Now that he was with his friends, he had no reason to complain. In fact, he felt just fine.
" Yes! I don't want to move! I'm going to stay here! Again and again! And forever."
Yet, suddenly roaring, a huge voice ordered him.
"Natsu, open your eyes."
Widening his gaze, Natsu saw the entire guild disappear in an instant, before he found himself in a dark world, where only a huge silhouette could be seen in front of him.
