The Phoenix Woman said, "Dr. Ye, could you please address Little Rogue's issue first? She has the ability to absorb the powers or even the life force of anyone she touches, which makes her afraid to get too close to others. As a result, her personality seems a bit reclusive, and she is not well-liked by her classmates because they all fear her!"

"Oh?" Ye Hai finally noticed Little Rogue's ability. It was a remarkably powerful capability. Little Rogue could quickly change others' memories and take their abilities or even their lives through skin contact, but it became ineffective once contact was broken. If it didn't lose its effect, that power would indeed be terrifying.

Ye Hai couldn't help but feel intrigued, saying, "Bring her to my lab; I want to meet her!"

"Okay."

The Phoenix Woman quickly contacted Storm Woman via her phone, and Storm Woman brought Little Rogue, who was still in class, over.

Little Rogue looked to be about fifteen or sixteen years old, with a sweet and cute appearance and a graceful figure — a rare beauty. However, she appeared somewhat timid. Upon seeing the mysterious figure from school, Ye Hai, her eyes sparkled with excitement and anticipation.

Scott's eyes had been fixed, and this news had long circulated around the academy. Students with genetic abnormalities were eager for Dr. Ye's help to change their abilities. Among these students were those who had mutated into monstrous forms and others whose health had drastically deteriorated. Their issues were varied, and they all desperately wished to change.

Little Rogue was one of them. She longed to draw courage like other classmates might to request a change in her physique, but her timid nature always held her back. Now finally meeting the legendary Dr. Ye, one can imagine how excited she felt.

Ye Hai looked at Little Rogue and said, "You're a very beautiful girl. It would be such a shame if you couldn't kiss your boyfriend! Oh, do you have a boyfriend, Little Rogue?"

Shyly, Little Rogue shook her head and replied, "Not yet. They all fear me; who would want to be my boyfriend?"

Recalling her own bitter experiences, she felt her nose tingle, nearly on the verge of tears.

"You don't have a boyfriend?" Ye Hai exclaimed, opening his mouth wide as if it was unbelievable that such a beautiful girl had no boyfriend. Then, with a smile, he said, "How about this: I'll be your boyfriend. How does that sound, beautiful girl?"

"Ah?" Little Rogue had never encountered such a direct declaration of affection before. She was taken aback, her little mouth agape, looking adorably astonished.

Even though she knew he was joking, warmth spread through her heart, and she couldn't help but feel a bit proud. To catch the attention of such an important figure satisfied her vanity to a large extent.

The Phoenix Woman smiled gently and playfully chided, "Dr. Ye, she's just a little girl. Is it really appropriate for a grown man like you to joke around like that?"

Ye Hai shrugged, "But I'm not much older than her; I'm only twenty this year. I think we have no problem in terms of age. At least there won't be a generation gap!"

The Phoenix Woman was momentarily stunned, remembering that the young man before her was technically still in his teenage years, just approaching adulthood. However, Ye Hai's scholarly demeanor often made people overlook his age. To them, he seemed to possess the wisdom of an old sage, almost on par with their professors.

They both exuded wisdom; the professor was a kind, gentle elder, while Ye Hai was full of energy, vibrant and exceptionally pragmatic.

"But I remember you seem to already have a girlfriend," the Phoenix Woman said with amusement, observing Ye Hai. "Dr. Ye, are you planning to part ways with your like-minded girlfriend?"

"Oh my, seeing such a beautiful girl, I momentarily forgot about my girlfriend. How could this happen? Why didn't I meet Little Rogue first?"

Ye Hai looked frustrated, but his exaggerated words indicated he was merely joking.

Little Rogue felt a little disappointed. Ye Hai's playful banter had melted much of her cold heart, and she felt a strong attraction to him, the clever young man. She would gladly be his girlfriend; if he truly had that intention, she would not refuse. In this open Western world, she often heard about the concepts of lovers or flings; it was easy for her to accept. Of course, this was all contingent upon her being attracted to him — and in every aspect, Ye Hai seemed to meet her criteria for a partner.

"Little Rogue... Little Rogue…"

The Phoenix Woman called a few times, and Little Rogue finally snapped back to reality, recalling her earlier train of thought, causing her cheeks to flush.

"What's the matter, teacher?" Little Rogue asked, startled.

The Phoenix Woman, ever perceptive, could tell what was going through her mind, and found it amusing. But she merely smiled softly and said, "Dr. Ye wants you to give him a blood sample."

"Oh, okay, okay."

With a smile that was half amusement, the Phoenix Woman made Little Rogue even more flustered. Little Rogue quickly took a plastic syringe and jabbed it into her left arm with too much force, causing her to gasp sharply and nearly shed tears from the pain.

The Phoenix Woman was slightly taken aback, scolding, "Be careful! Don't be so clumsy!"

Using her telekinetic power, the Phoenix Woman controlled the syringe to draw some blood from Little Rogue, and then it floated to Ye Hai's hands.

Ye Hai, once again amazed by the Phoenix Woman's telekinetic abilities, felt envious. After receiving the syringe, he placed it on a testing platform, complete with a fully automated set of testing equipment managed systematically by the intelligent Xuan Nu.

"All set, beautiful girl! I have to get busy now, so you two can leave!" Ye Hai declared as he ushered them out.

As they walked out, Little Rogue mustered her courage and threw Ye Hai a flirty glance, her face burning red as she hurried away.

Seeing her glance, Ye Hai felt quite smug, thinking, "Looks like I still have my charm!"
