Rayleigh sat in his office as Luffy, Ash and Pikachu entered. "I'm glad you're here, detectives," Rayleigh smiled. "I thought we could get down to business."
"Is there someone who's causing mayhem?" asked Ash.
"We're not sure of the entire detail," Rayleigh shrugged. "But from what I've heard, it's a man who can willingly turn himself into mud. He's no doubt a slippery one." Luffy grinned to the case.
"All we need is a place where they're happening, and we got it in the bag!" he believed.
("It doesn't sound that easy,") Pikachu doubted. Rayleigh smiled, sensing that Ash, Luffy and the summons would do the job.
"The target is near the western gates," he instructed. "Hopefully, you'll stop him before he does any longing damage. Dismissed…" Ash and Luffy saluted before heading out. At the same moment, Robin stepped out of her flat. The dream still fresh in her mind,
'I wonder…' she thought. 'Could the other women have some advice?' She began her walk. It's the start of a crazy day in Grand Jipang.
Slippery Suspect! Caribou's Chaos
In another part of Grand Jipang, there was a moderately-tanned raven-haired man wearing a white robe with the sleeves over his arms. He also wore red slacks. "Man, Grand Jipang is a dream to be in," he muttered. "With these people not wanting to be stuck in my mud, they seem to know what I want." There were small globs of mud on top of other people. Luffy, Ash and Pikachu saw the path of mud and worn out.
"Yikes!" gawked Ash. "These globs of mud that got those guys…"
"It seems as though Caribou's got some sort of power that turns people into mud," Luffy guessed.
"I don't think they become mud, but they do seem in need of a bath."
"Not to mention a lot to eat."
("As if you're one to talk about food,") Pikachu murmured.
"I'm sure we'll be fine," Ash believed. Suddenly, they saw the man with a plate of Dangoes.
"Well, more sinners have appeared, albeit younger than those I came across," the man addressed. "Have you come to face the guide to God? Perhaps, I can offer you sanctity." Ash and Pikachu felt uneasy about their suspect.
"If that doesn't give you creep factors, I don't know what will," Ash whispered.
"I know, I feel as if he and I are alike," Luffy muttered. They faced the man.
"How about we see some hands," Ash advised as he pointed his Jitte at him. The man rose his arms, but his sleeves hid his hands. This made Ash and Luffy nervous.
"The sins you two are committing will not settle with the wisdom of God," he sneered, his long tongue wiggling out of his mouth. "The creator of this world has set a plethora of rules that we all have to follow, and I am his disciple to make sure that we all have the rules implemented." Ash and Luffy prepared for a difficult time as Pikachu sparked up. "Oh, do my eyes deceive me? I heard about a heretic known as the Summoner. I never imagined that this was the case that I would confront and smite him for his crimes that God would frown upon." Ash growled at the man's rhetoric.
"He's speaking so much nonsense," he muttered. "What is he after?"
("I'm not sure,") Pikachu squeaked.
"Well, I know what to do," Luffy muttered as he cocked his arm back. "Gum-Gum…" The man saw Luffy's arm stretch so far back, but he didn't move. "Pistol!" Luffy's arm returned and punched the man, but the punch pierced him and came out of the other side. Caribou didn't seem bothered after the strike.
"What the!?" gawked Ash.
"I warned you as a disciple of God," Caribou sneered. "And I cannot be hurt." Ash and Luffy realized the situation ahead of them.
"Damn, this is bad," Luffy gulped. That's when Luffy's arm started to be covered in mud. "Never mind, it's getting worse!" The man laughed as Luffy struggled to pull his arm free. Ash joined as he tried to pull Luffy free. They were slowly dragged into the criminal's range.
"Soon, God's judgment will make you two regret attacking a disciple!" he cackled. Looking, Ash had an idea.
"Pikachu, Thunderbolt!" he ordered. Pikachu hesitated in using his electric attack. "Hurry!" No choice, Pikachu fired Thunderbolt. It struck Ash and Luffy, but the electric attack reached the criminal. It shocked him while Luffy didn't react. The attack loosened Luffy to where he and Ash flew back several feet and fell to the ground. Caribou growled to feeling the shock.
"No one should argue with the disciple of God!" he raged. Luffy, Ash and Pikachu knew the battle would be difficult. Back at the Pinwheel, Robin was talking about her dream with the other girls.
"Aw, that's so cute!" cooed Omao. "I could only imagine what being a mother is like."
"Yeah, and the things we'd do with one," Onami giggled.
"I would love to hold a baby, maybe with Ash," Ocarrot snickered.
"Keep it up, and there may be one on the way," Onami teased. Sanji and Blue-Nose seemed to understand Robin's dream.
"Boy, would it be something if it was a little girl that I father," Sanji dreamed. "Especially with any of them!"
"Keep dreaming, chef," Blue-Nose sneered. Robin refocused on the idea.
"Anyway, does it feel wrong for me to have fallen in love with Ash?" giggled Robin. Hearing who she fell for, Sanji left the kitchen and confronted the girls.
"Now, hold on a second!" he halted. "Robin dear! Falling for a boy like that is beyond consequential! For all that is holy, I'd be more of a love interest than he would-" Onami silenced Sanji with a kick to the groin. Sanji stood frozen and in pain, wincing at the strike.
"She doesn't love him like that, you moron!" she snapped. Blue-Nose walked away while holding his nether region, feeling Sanji's pain.
"It's not a way I would've wanted to go down," Brook winced. "Even though I have no crotch, I can still feel Sanji's pain."
"Which one?" asked Omao. "Physically or emotionally?"
"Trust me when I say that any pain Sanji's going through right now," Brook compared. "Even my new life as a skeleton doesn't have immunity to any sort of pain for others." Onami dragged Sanji back to the kitchen. "But this love you have for Ash, don't you think others may be suspicious to this idea?"
"I don't care if they think we're lovers," Robin said. "I want Ash as he is. The only question is what I have to do to make him at ease."
"Oh, maybe I can help with that," Omao offered. She whispered in Robin's ear to which Robin awed the thought.
"That's a great idea, Omao!" she accepted. "Thank you. Now, I just have to send a writ to the royal family about this." Blue-Nose believed a writ wasn't needed.
"Couldn't you just walk in and talk about it?" he minded. "I mean, aren't you Princess Vivi's loyal guard?"
"I may be, but I'm also one who respects the laws the royal family have laid down," Robin reminded. Blue-Nose and Brook understood Robin's point. Back at the fight, Ash and Luffy seemed to struggle with the criminal.
"Fighting against God and his disciples is not a worthwhile task," he mentioned. Suddenly…
"Looks like I found an ally for my syndicate!" sounded Buggy. Luffy, Ash and Pikachu looked up with dread while the criminal looked as well.
"Buggy…" realized Luffy as Buggy came down. He looked to the criminal.
"Kabuki Buggy, another heretic," he addressed Buggy. "Have you wanted to be aligned with God?" Buggy seemed perplexed to the question.
"Don't put me as some God-loving freak like you!" he argued. "I wanted to have you as part of my syndicate against the likes of these two!" Pikachu squeaked up, thinking Buggy forgot him. "You're an animal! Sure, one that kid summoned, but still…"
("Those are fighting words!") snapped Pikachu.
"Animals are innocent to the eyes of God, unlike you," the man countered, mud forming out of his sleeves.
"Oh, now I know who you are… Swamp Man Caribou," Buggy named. "The famed killer who traps his victims in a suffocating pile of mud after you swamp them!" Ash and Luffy seemed astounded to Buggy's discovery.
"Jeez, being a crime lord gives you all of the perks, huh?" joked Luffy.
"It won't matter when I'm done with you, sinners!" taunted Caribou. Buggy armed himself with kunais.
"Let's see you swamp me out of my choppy attack!" he yelled as he split himself into many parts to attack Caribou. He didn't move as Buggy charged. Like before, the body above the waist skewered through Caribou's body before he was covered in mud and unable to move. "Dammit! I should've… seen that coming!" Thinking fast, Ash had two red scrolls on hand.
"I think I know what to do," he plotted as he unfurled on of the scrolls. "The flame on the tail is the pride that burns inside! COME FORTH, CHARIZARD!" When the flash dimmed, an orange, two-horned winged lizard emerged, looking like a dragon. Ash got the second scroll unfurled. "His blaze brings out the fighting spirit within! COME FORTH, INFERNAPE!" When the light dimmed, a red primate with white fur on the chest, gold plate-like markings on the wrists and other joints and fire as hair arrived. Luffy was excited at seeing the lizard.
"IT'S A DRAGON!" he cheered. The lizard gawked to the naming.
"It's not a dragon…" sighed Ash as Franky arrived.
"Oh, man…" he gasped. "It's that freak?"
"Yep, and he's got Buggy," Luffy reported.
"Okay, can anyone of you get me out of here?" demanded Buggy. Franky had an idea.
"I actually have something to trap that guy," he plotted. "But we need him trapped."
"I got it, Franky," Ash allowed. "Now, Infernape… use Flame Wheel around those two!" Infernape became a wheel of fire as it raced around Caribou and Buggy. "Charizard, use Fire Spin!" Charizard spat flames at the Flame Wheel before it became a fiery tornado. Caribou started to feel the literal heat as did Buggy. Both flaming summons stopped and soon found Caribou and Buggy charred.
"Were… those… holy… flames?" gawked Caribou. "My… body… so hard… to move…"
"Yeah, imagine my outfit and how destroyed it became," Buggy groaned. Franky approved of the attacks.
"That's one way to do it!" he cheered as he brought out a giant fish tank on wheels. "When I heard this guy was the cause of what happened, I figured something like this could work on getting rid of him." Ash and Luffy awed Franky's project. After loading Caribou inside, they pushed the tank to the far side.
"Once he's put on trial, it'll be curtains for him!" believed Ash. They forgot about Buggy still stuck to the ground.
"The least you could've done is free me from this mess!" he complained. "Oh, for the love of… This is what happens when you've been overcome by kids." Night fell and Caribou's been stored away, awaiting trial. Ash returned to Shakky's inn to rest and report to Rayleigh about the encounter. Meanwhile in Vivi's room, she was about to fall asleep on her futon when there was a voice.
"Princess Vivi!" a man called. "You received a writ of conference!" Vivi blinked to the news.
"At this time of night?" she mulled. "It better be important!"
"The writ came from Robin." The name made Vivi wonder.
"Slip it through." The scroll came to Vivi who opened it. Seeing what the letter contained, Vivi gasped. "So, that's what Robin wants that she wrote this." Looking at the sliding door, Vivi wondered if the man was there. "Are you still around?"
"Yes, princess!"
"Make it a notice for Robin to visit me at around mid-morning."
"At once!" The man left before Vivi settled down. Something is brewing in Grand Jipang.
