A/N: Okay, so I recently started listening to Epic the Musical on Youtube music and really fell in love with the songs and the story, so much so, that I decided to write an entire one shot revolving one of the songs, specifically "Suffering" from the Thunder Saga and considering that Honkai: Star Rail's most recent arc is inspired by Greece and that I'm a Stelle x Firefly Shipper, it seemed fitting so I came up with this little one shot. If you haven't already listened to the song, I highly suggest you do so first before reading to get a grasp on the melody of the song.
Also, this is a crack fic so please don't take it too seriously.
Potential Spoilers for both Honkai: Star Rail and Epic the Musical.
Disclaimer: I do not own Honkai: Star Rail or Epic the Musical. This is a non-profit fanwork.
Please enjoy.

Suffering

Stelle was bored.
She mentally sighed as she laid out on the desk of the ship with arms and legs splayed out, while she could do little more than stare at the clear sky, listen to the waves and smell the salt water.
It's been weeks since they made their journey to Castrum Kremnos by sea and Stelle has been bored out of her mind ever since.
Still, the trailblazer had no one to blame but herself, since she was the one who insisted on travelling to Castrum Kremnos by boat in the first place.
Don't get her wrong, she didn't regret her decision especially since doing this meant that Trianne didn't have to use the century gate to get them there. She didn't even want to think about what would have happened if she didn't accidentally walk in on the trio talking about how Trianne could only use the Century gate a few more times.
That being, it still didn't change the fact that she was bored out of her mind being out at sea for this long, especially since her phone didn't even work this far out at sea.
Stelle groaned out loud. "Are we there yet?" Stelle whined.
Mydeimos sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose, before replying. "We're almost there. That island on the horizon is Castrum Kremnos, we'll be there in a few days if all goes well"
Stelle groaned again and closed her eyes.
A few days? I'm gonna die of boredom before then!
"Dan Heng, I'm bored!" Stelle whined.
Dan Heng, leaning on the side of the mast with closed eyes, only hummed in response.
Stelle groaned again.
"Phainon, I'm booooored" Stelled whined out again.
Phainon chuckled good-naturedly and offered a look of sympathy.
"We're almost there, Stelle, just hold out for a little while longer" Phainon said sympathetically.
Stelle groaned and opted to get up from the floor and walked towards the main deck to look at the island in the distance, it was a nice break from staring at the sky but it wasn't much better.
Resting her chin on her hand with half-lidded eyes, Stelle sighed as she wished for something to alleviate her boredom.
As if granting her wish, Stelle suddenly heard instrumental music coming from her left, something that made the trailblazer blink in surprise. Stelle was sure there weren't any instruments on board, but she just shrugged it off, the music would keep her from getting bored at least.
Stelle listened as the music continued, humming along to the melody and nodding with a smile.
"Dear Firefly~" A chorus of voices suddenly sang making Stelle's eyes widen in surprise. "Dear Firefly~"
At the sound of her girlfriend's name, Stelle ran to the side of the ship where she first heard the music come from.
Stelle's jaw dropped upon seeing her girlfriend sitting on a rock in the middle of the sea, wearing nothing but a white bikini that left very little to the imagination with how soaked it was and posing very suggestively. Her fair skin was wet and glistened in the sun, her silver hair was soaked in water, her gradient eyes stared at her softly and her lips formed a loving smile on her face.
Stelle could do little more than gawk and stare with an open mouth and scarlet cheeks.
Firefly's smile widened as she opened her mouth. "Don't you miss me~" Firefly sang as she placed a hand on her chest.
Stelle smiled as she found herself singing her reply. "More than you know~"
"Then jump in the water and kiss me~" Firefly sang as she winked and blew a kiss at Stelle.
Stelle blushed at the gesture. "But Firefly, I told you this before~ You know I'm afraid of the water~" Stelle sang in reply, looking sad.
Hand on her chest, Firefly sang back. "I'll make sure that you are safe and sound~"
Reaching into the water, Firefly pulled out a five-year-old child with golden eyes and silver white hair and wearing a child-friendly white swimsuit.
"Come play with me and our daughter and let's watch our love leave the ground~" Firefly sang as she hugged the child and looked at her welcomingly
Stelle blinked in confusion, wondering how she has a five-year-old child with Firefly when they've only just met a few months ago.
Shaking her head, Stelle sang in reply with the back of her hand on here forehead "Oh, I would~ But I'd be suffering trying to float the whole time~"
Firefly swam into the water, popping out on the side of the ship just below Stelle with open arms, certain assets jiggling as she did.
"I would take the suffering from you~" Firefly sang.
Stelle chuckled with a blush. "Oh, as good as it sounds, right here I'm just fine~"
Firefly beckoned her with a finger teasingly. "I can take the suffering from you~"
"You know that I prefer my feet on the ground~" Stelle sang back shyly, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.
"I will take the suffering from you~" Firefly sang out as she raised her arms out to Stelle, making her chest jiggle as she did, prompting another blush from Stelle.
Stelle puffed her cheeks and crossed her arms. "Fine, but only if you answer a question or two~" Stelle sang raising two fingers.
Firefly perked up and nodded eagerly. "Of course"
Stelle sighed, remembering how bored she's been this entire trip, until Firefly showed up that is.
"Kay, let's say I've been on this boat. For…I don't know a few weeks" Stelle sang/ranted out to Firefly. "And let's say I've been bored but the island is still out of our reach"
Firefly pouted with a hand on her chest. "Oh no~"
"How can we get there faster, how can we get him home?" Stelle asked/sang. "Which route should we take? Where are we supposed to go?"
Firefly looked between Stelle and the island of Castrum Kremnos with a hand on her chin, thinking about the question before replying.
"It will take some time to row~" Firefly sang as she turned to Stelle. "So find a place where wind will blow~"
Firefly looked at Stelle seriously, almost ominously. "The one way you'll get home is sailing where the will the wind will go, oh~ It's through the lair of Scylla~"
Stelle looked at her in confusion. "Oh?"
Ignoring her confusion, Firefly continued to sing. "This is your only way home, the lair of Scylla~"
Stelle tilts her head. "But I don't know where that is"
Firefly shrugged uncaringly before singing. "Well you asked and now you know~"
"Now jump in the water~" Firefly sang excitedly as raised her open arms, causing her chest to jiggle from the movement.
"Oh Firefly, why? You know I'm too shy~ and terrified~" Stelle sang with a blush as she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear.
"Firefly" gritted her now sharpened teeth in frustration as her brow twitched, but still sang back, albeit irately. "I would take the suffering from you~"
"Oh, for you I would die, but can't you let me stay dry~" Stelle sang shyly as she hugged herself with closed eyes and a shy blush.
"I can take the suffering from you~" Firefly sang irately as her now red eyes glared at Stelle.
"You should come onto the ship. We'll jump at the same time~" Stelle sang as she beckoned her with a hand and turned to walk back on the deck.
Looking excited, Firefly licked her now sharpened teeth before singing back "I will take the suffering from you"
"Firefly" leapt and sank her claws on the wooden railing. Her sharpened teeth forming a vicious grin as she hauled herself up.
"Ah~" Firefly heard Stelle sigh just before she got over the railing. "The things I do for you~"
"Firefly" peaked her head over the railing, only to be greeted with an armored gauntlet punching her square in the face and back into the ocean with yelp.

The siren watched bitterly as the ship where her most recent prey was sailed away to Castrum Kremnos, muttering curses under her breath as she nursed her new black eye.
The siren sighed as she closed her eyes.
"Well at least today, can't get any worse"
Almost as if to prove her wrong, hear the distinct sound of a jet engine roaring and what's more peculiar it sounded like it was getting closer and the air was also getting a lot hotter for some reason, much to her confusion.
"Wha-"
"Target Marked. Execution Underway"

Meanwhile on the boat heading towards Castrum Kremnos, Stelle looked curiously at the giant flame tornado that suddenly appeared in the middle of the ocean.
Pointing at it, Stelle looked at Phainon and Mydeimos.
"Is that normal?"

A/N: Poor Siren. At any rate, I hope you enjoyed my little on shot. I might write other songs in future, like "The Challenge" and "Would you fall in love with me again", but nothing in the works yet and I feel like those songs really need some build up to actually work so who knows.
Hope you enjoyed and see you in the next story – P.H. Loveless
