Been reading freemanwriter's work, Avengers: Infinite Wars, as of late. That got me thinking of this old story, which was the very first that reached over two or three hundred followers and favorite. I could have continued it if I had the dedication for the past years or so. Nonetheless, I decided to publish it to at least write something that I am fond of, which were eventually, pardon my language, FUCKED in the ass by the higher ups of their respective company.

Sure, I admit that HGW is just a respectful clone, according to one of the people I spoke to, to that fanfiction. That doesn't mean it's a hundred percent copied and paste. I'll just add some twist to it.

Please be warned that there will be a lot of elements seen throughout the first few chapters from the last two iterations. THIS TIME, it will be executed in a way that you may enjoy. And to repay all of you, I'm going to be requesting a commission to promote the story. Not now, of course, but when the time is right.

This is in curtesy of F35B, who wrote this first chapter

Now, let's get on with the new, new version of Halo Galactic Wars!

Hopefully, this will be the very last time I publish this story before I mess it up.

Halo Galactic Wars

Chapter One

Search Mission

John-117.

Also known as the Master Chief who would be publicly known as Humanity's Savior and a Chief Petty Officer of the UNSC was sitting alone in the Pelican Cockpit thinking about the events that have transpired throughout his life.

As long as he remembered, he, along with seventy four other candidates, were inducted to the Spartan II Program at the age of six. At first, he thought he could win on his own but after being scolded by his Commanding Officer for not working in a team, his mindset soon changed.

Training after training, he and his team, his superiors quickly started to recognize his potential and they soon came to the conclusion that he would be the one to lead the Spartans.

After eight years of intense training, it was time for the candidates to be augmented. Chief, at the age of fourteen, went through the dangerous procedure and was one of the lucky few to survive the surgery. Some were unfortunately unfit for service while some perished.

When the Spartan II Augmentations were done, they went through more intensive training and a rift between them and the ODST was shown after four of their members were killed by one of them.

Not so long after, the UNSC were soon engaged into a war with an unknown force that they had never encountered before. The Covenant. After one of their colonized worlds were destroyed by them, the Spartans were soon called up in the frontlines to fight this new foe.

Battle after battle.

Mission after mission.

Those were the only things that the Spartan can fully remember in his head.

He remembers those times engaging the Covenant with his unit, blue team. This unit consists of…

Him, John-117.

Frederic-104.

Kelly-087.

Linda-058.

And lastly their deceased kin and friend, Samuel-034.

His death only fueled his team's determination into stopping the Covenant from destroying humanity. Their participation in the War effort lasted for almost thirty years and when most of the UEG'S Colonies were decimated and uninhabitable, all hope seemed lost.

Until one specific battle had happened. But John had split from the rest of the Blue Team.

After their planet that the Spartan IIs called home, Reach, was glassed by the Covenant, one Ship managed to escape.

The Pillar of Autumn that was commanded by the late Captain Jacob Keyes.

Narrowly escaping the planet, they were chased by the Covenant Fleet until they reached a strange planet they had never encountered before.

Halo. Well, more like Installation 04. One of the Seven Halo Rings created by the long extinct race called the Forerunners. Not to mention that there was a Monitor called 343 Guilty Spark, the caretaker of that world.

At first, it was a boost of morale for the UNSC personnel but then the Ring held a dark secret.

That secret was that it held a parasitic species called the Flood that only wishes to consume the entire Galaxy. Many casualties from both sides suffered heavy losses. One of them was Keyes.

Chief nearly wiped out all living beings across the universe had it not been for his former AI Companion, Cortana.

From then on, the UNSC started to win the war. Well, this goes on like this.

He reunited with his colleagues and friends, Sergeant Avery Johnson in a Covenant Ship along with other Survivors and also the rest of Blue Team when they went to the scorched planet of Reach.

The Covenant reached Earth but only focused on one area in New Mombasa.

He, along with the UNSC Frigate, In Amber Clad, commanded by Keyes's Daughter Miranda, gave chase to the Prophet of Regret's fleet to Delta Halo.

Meeting the Gravemind.

The Elites being betrayed by the Covenant that led to a Skirmish between multiple groups.

Cortana being left behind in High Charity.

A group led by Rtas 'Vadum and Thel 'Vadam aka The Arbiter allying themselves with the UNSC.

The Flood reached Earth before being contained, which led to half a Continent being glassed.

The stopping of the Covenant in the Ark and the death of the Prophet of Truth.

Spark's betrayal on the newly Constructed Halo Ring and the Death of Johnson.

The Activation of said ring and the Flood being completely destroyed, though the Chief believed that they are only contained in the remains of High Charity.

Being asleep for four years, seven months and ten days.

Everything had changed during the time the Chief was in Cyrosleep. And these events unfolded quickly in his mind.

Cortana showing symptoms of Rampancy.

Them ending up in the Planet of Requiem and the discovery of the Prometheans and the Didact, the last remaining Forerunner in existence.

The UNSC Infinity arrived to rescue them.

Stopping the Didact at the cost of Cortana's life.

Bottling up the emotion of Cortana's death before avenging her by deleting the Didact in Installation 03.

Getting framed for a terrorist attack that the Chief had never committed.

Leading Blue team to chase Cortana, who had somehow been revived but that didn't lead a group of ONI Spartans into chasing them.

Eventually, Blue Team managed to find Cortana but not before she betrayed them and locked them up in a Forerunner Guardian.

Being freed by Fireteam Osiris from their imprisonment.

Getting the Mjolnir GEN3 Armor upgrades for all active Spartans.

The mission to Reach to find a Weapon that could counter Cortana.

The Battle of Installation 07 also known as Zeta Halo. But not before Chief was separated from the rest of the Blue team yet again.

They manage to contain Cortana with the help of the Weapon but not before a Covenant Remnant Faction called the Banished launched a surprise attack to the Infinity. Chief fought well, but not before being beaten by their leader, a Brute called Atriox.

Being drifted six Months in space, Chief was founded by a Pilot called Fernando Esparza, whose codename is Echo 216. With his help, he manages to retrieve the Weapon and from then on, they, along with other UNSC survivors, launch a resistance Movement against the Banished.

After the deaths of Escharum, who replaced Atriox after his death as the leader of the Banished, and the Harbinger at the hands of Chief as well as other important Banished Figures, who is to say that they are struggling to organize and sustain themselves now that it's leaderless.

Chief knew that this gave the UNSC more motivation into getting the Ring back into their control, but the Banished were sure to give them a tough fight.

That was a lot of events that the Spartan has been through. No matter how hard his enemies will be, he will always be the one to put his life on the line for the safety of humanity and even to a single person.

"Chief?"

The female voice managed to snap him out of these thoughts, and he pulled his left hand. In an instant, a small blue AI figure soon appeared at the palm of his hand and was looking at him in slight worry.

"You've been awfully quiet for a while now." The Weapon spoke with slight concern in her voice. "Is there something in your mind?"

"It is nothing," The Chief quickly responded to his new AI Companion's question.

Said AI narrowed her eyes at the Spartan. "It doesn't seem like anything." A quick realization soon hit her as she would guess what the Chief was thinking of. "Oh, you still miss her?"

"…" He didn't say anything as the man sat in the Pelican's payload in complete silence upon hearing the Weapon's words. Changing the subject, the Spartan then asked, "What is the ETA to our target?"

The Weapon pouted at the Spartan for dodging her question before she quickly answered back with a bit of analytical in her tone. "In about a minute." It had only been just twelve days since the last mission on the Silent Auditorium and the AI had managed to pick up a signal of a large Banished presence in a specific area of the Ring.

That was troublesome for the UNSC resistance Movement as they knew that it is something very important that their enemies wished to gain to completely decimate them. It was a job that a team of Spartans could take care of. But, for now, the Chief was the only available Spartan to do this job.

His mission was simple. Wipe out the Banished Forces in the area and investigate what their interests were so that it could be at the hands of the UNSC once again.

"We're approaching the destination, Chief," The Voice of Echo 216 rang through the COMS. "I hope you know what you're doing."

The Chief then stood up from where he was sitting and grabbed a BR75 that was slung into his back. But before he could make any more progress, his AI companion then informed him, "Just to let you know, there are at least three hundred at this location."

"Did you hack into their terminal?" The Chief asked her.

"Well, I did though it only took me just a few seconds." The Weapon admitted with a lace of sarcasm. She had already hacked into the Banished network stationed at the designated location before boarding the Pelican.

"Why would the Banished have a large presence in a specific area of the Ring?" Echo 216 asked through the coms. "Don't they have enough Forerunner Technology at their disposal? Not to mention that they still occupy most of the Ring?"

"I do not think that they are looking for any Forerunner Technology," The Spartan quickly debunked as he would have guessed that there might be something that interested them.

"What makes you say that?" The Pilot asked him.

It was then that the Weapon had managed to answer Echo 216's question. "From what I could find from their network, they had found something that isn't Forerunner in origin."

"What? Something that isn't Forerunner in origin?"

"That is what we are about to find out." The Chief clarified to Esparza. Feeling that the Pelican was slowing down, the Spartan gave a quick nod to the Weapon, who's figure quickly disappeared from his left hand, to be ready for this mission.

"Get ready!" He said to his companion in his usual Stoic tone.

"As always, Chief." The AI inside of his helmet chirped in. THe Master Chief nodded his head a bit as he began to get used to his new AI companion, he charged the cocking lever of the MA40 as he loaded in a 7.62x51mm round into the chamber, the handle came back with a satisfying click as Chief waited for Echo-216 to land.

-Scene Change-

"We've arrived, Chief! I just want to say good luck." said the pilot as Chief nodded back to him. He grabbed a BR 75 off the nearby rack. Racking the handle and taking a few magazines with him, something in his senses told him he needed it as he slung the powerful weapon over his shoulders. The weapon made a soft clang when it hit his Mjolnir.

"He won't need any luck, isn't that right Chief?" said the Weapon as Chief rolled his eyes a bit. Maybe he wasn't getting used to his new AI friend stuck in his head.

With a thud of his boots, over four hundred and fifty three kilograms of armor, made a soft thud in the grass. As the super soldier observed his surroundings, the Pelican took off once more. Chief was alert as he took his weapon and scanned it across for any Banished unlucky enough to be confronted by the Demon.

"Any Banished in the area?" asked John, his voice stoic and gravelly as the Weapon appeared on his HUD as well as an accompanying map.

"According to the scans, there seems to be no indication of any Banished Patrols. Lucky, aren't they?" said the AI as she smiled as John nodded. He quickly assumed that the Banished were likely in a nearby base, meaning he would have to move quickly. lest his 'luck' run out.

He may have been one of Humanity's best but even Spartans had their limits. As evidenced by the Spartan Teams he had found slaughtered by the hordes of Banished when the Infinity was shot down. Though he was stoic about it, he made sure that every last life was paid for by the Banished, even though the Spartan IV's may have been cocky, they were still Spartans, his only family.

"Um, about those scans, there seems to be a small contingent up ahead. Looks like you have company after all." said The Weapon as Chief nodded as he prepared himself as he trudged along in the forest. He wasn't surprised at all, scans were always 50/50 to him.

"I have done some snooping around on their chatter and apparently they're having a hard time trying to contain a 'Creature' of sorts. This could explain their heavy presence in this sector." said The Weapon as she popped once again on his HUD as Chief nodded.

"Tell me more about this Creature," said Chief, his interest had peaked. If the Banished were having a hard time containing something it either meant two things. This was either a Flood outbreak (god forbid) or this was something entirely new and something he could take advantage of.

Chief hoped it was the latter.

"I can't get any details on it right now. But, they have taken significant casualties in their attempts. We're almost there. So, I guess we will see." said the Weapon as Chief nodded, he prepared himself as he ran over to a cliff edge that overlooked the Banished Base. He took out his BR75 as he peered through the scope, the 3x EVOS-D Optic plus his suits software, making it an excellent scouting tool.

He looked over as he took notes in his head, Seventy Banished Personnel that he could see. Two Jackals in the watchtowers, a couple of Elites bullying Grunts, the usual. What he had noticed was the absence of any Brutes, his guess being they were dealing with whatever 'Creature' this was roaming the facility.

Then a shout was heard as a Beam Rifle shot landed right next to him as he looked up in a millisecond, he was spotted by those Jackals and now he had his cover blown.

In the span of a few seconds he snapped up the Battle Rifle and fired 4 burst rounds, double tapping each into each Jackal with frightening accuracy that was trademark of the Spartans, one shot the head one to the chest as each exploded in purple gore. The 7.62x51mm rounds did wonders to them as he rushed down the hill to the Banished Outpost. He grappled over as he flung himself into the middle of the base.

As he landed, the two Jackals fell down in unison. Their empty skulls made a wet splat on the ground below. He snapped up as he took out his MA40.

"IT'S THE DEMON!" yelped a Grunt in fear as Chief was quick to silence this poor Grunt with a burst of his weapon. He looked to see his HUD to identify some Fusion Coils, which could come in handy later.

"IT'S THE DEMON THAT KILLED ESCHARUM! GET HIM!" roared an Elite in red armor as Chief heard multiple Energy Swords igniting as his instincts took over.

He fired a burst of 7.62x51 from the MA40. The rounds hit home and set off the Fusion Coils. The volatile material exploding as around fifteen Banished went flying in gory rainbows of blood and bone.

The Elite that had screamed at him was knocked down. His shields protected him from the blast as the Chief rushed to him slamming his body into the saurian and brutally curb stomping the Sangheili's head. A sickening crack and crunch echoed through the cliffs.

He turned his attention back to a group of grunts as he fired his MA40, turning the six Grunts into mush as he threw the last one into a charging Elite. Using his momentum to slam the MA40's buttstock into the Elite, knocking him over as the Master Chief fired two bursts into the reptilian bastard, silencing him for good.

He then moved up to see multiple Jackals and Elites spread out with a few Grunts as he took an energy sword and rushed the group at lightning speeds as he kicked the middle Elite. Taking the energy sword and slicing clean through the already damaged shields and cutting the Sangheili's throat. Jumping and doing a backflip mid air he took out his Battle and fired his last 11 rounds in the gun at the three Jackals. Killing two and wounding one as he charged the last one by slamming the avian into the ground and breaking bones. The Chief put the bird thing out of its misery with a burst from the MA40.

He took out the remaining grunts with well placed shots from his Battle Rifle. Of course, after flicking the mag out and slamming a new one in, just like the cold-hearted professional the Master Chief was known to be.

Finally the last Banished fell silent as Chief looked around the camp. He of course did not get out unscathed, his shields were down to sixty-one percent. But he was fine otherwise, he checked his weapons again as he loaded in a new mag for the MA40.

"That was some good fighting right there! Teach me some time, alright?" said the Weapon as Chief nodded, it was just a days work for a super soldier like him.

"I hate to break the mood of victory, but we have incoming enemy reinforcements. Better get a move on." she finished as Chief nodded as he mounted the energy sword hilt to his thigh on the opposite side of his standard issue Magnum.

Chief managed to get out of the outpost as he trekked along once more, his loyal AI companion scanning all that was left.

He backed up a bit as he looked down at his feet to see a mauled Elite. its head was obviously missing, or was that pile of pulp its head? Its middle was ripped open like a christmas present and its guts were all severed and spilling out like a hot soup bowl.

"What happened here?" asked the Spartan as the Weapon once again popped on his HUD and had a disgusted and horrified look on her avatar.

"From my scans, it seems this poor thing got chewed up and spat right out. Bitemarks are present all over the torso area and there are large claw marks on the lower abdomen, indicating this Elite was ripped from a single point…" her voice trailed off as Chief heard a roar echoing through the base.

"I think we found our culprit. " Chief said in a rare quip from the super soldier as he trudged forward, seeing more of the same. But as he went deeper, the bodies began to pile on, being a majority of brutes as they were all ripped open and chewed up like the first Elite they saw.

He soon entered into a control room, the lights flickering on and off as he looked around, he entered a large circular room, it was obviously Forerunner in origin, though there were a few discrepancies it was undeniable.

In the middle of the room there was a huge spherical object as power cables protruded from it as glowing Fusion Coils lit up the already haphazard arrangement of the room. A yellow light was dimly shining through the sphere as it sent out a calming vibe to the room. Even with all the gore that was present.

Then Chief's sensors went wild as he instantly entered the famed Spartan Time and lept to the left and rolled under as he dodged an attack from the Brute Chieftain as the Chieftain roared until it hit a post. A sickening crack was heard.

John looked up as he got his MA40 up in a snap.

A large creature slowly revealed itself, at first a silhouette, then the creature's face showed, its face was ugly, it looked inbred and was slobbering more than a St. Bernard Dog. It roared in triumph as it turned to meet its new opponent.

"What am I looking at here?" asked the Chief quickly as he stepped away from the creature.

"I… I… I don't know… I suggest we kill it first. Then maybe I can analyze it without ending up like our buddy over there." said The Weapon with a bit of hurry in her voice as she mentioned the already dead Chieftain with a broken back.

The creature roared as it charged the Master Chief, the supersoldier saw it coming from a mile away as he ducked under and rolled and fired three bursts of 7.62x51. The M118 rounds slamming into the creature, seemingly penetrating the creature though the creature seemed to feel nothing. No effect.

"Got any suggestions?" the Chief asked as the Weapon appeared on his HUD and seemingly pointed to those Plasma Grenades from earlier. Chief looked at one of the Fusion Coils, and he had an idea.

Without hesitation he took a Plasma grenade off of his belt, dove away from the attacking creature whose disproportionately long arms narrowly missed him by a few inches as he grabbed a fusion coil. Yanking it from the cable as he started to run towards the creature, fusion coil and plasma grenade in hand as he backflipped over the stunned monster. Arming the plasma grenade and sticking it to the fusion coil. He stuck the grenade onto the monster's shoulders as he leaped away to safety.

The creature roared as it became confused and panicked by the strange beeping device now stuck to him. three seconds later, an explosion erupted as the lights went out for a few seconds before resuming.

Chief looked up to see his handy work. The monster was now half gone. A pile of gore as the other half was burned and charred a bit, though its natural color shone through a bit.

"Finally. That's over and done with." The weapon said in relief through the Spartan's COM. "Now, I think it's the right time to start analyzing this creature." The Spartan walked towards the creature before kneeling down on one knee and letting his left palm out. Her avatar soon popped out and soon she began to analyze the strange creature.

A few moments had passed before she finished analyzing. She looked back at the Master Chief with a confused look on her face. "Huh. Well, that's very unusual."

The Master Chief looked back at her. "What's unusual?"

The AI faced the Master Chief as she began informing him on the details she's gotten. "From what I saw according to the Banished database, this creature is suggested to not be a native on this ring. What's more strange is that it doesn't seem to have originated from this Galaxy."

"Hold on, am I hearing all of this right?" The voice of Echo 216 called out through their COMs. "The creature that I overheard you guys talking about didn't come from our Galaxy?"

"That's about right…" The Weapon answered his question, before realizing the tone of his voice. "Oh, you were being sarcastic, weren't you?"

Then as if it was sentient, the orb began to glow brighter. It started to spin at a slow pace, the yellow began to shine through. Its pace became faster as the seconds ticked by.

When the ball was at its brightest yellow sparks of lightning seemed to crackle around it as it reached hypersonic speeds as a wind current was formed in the room. Picking up small items in its fury. All the while the power for the fusion coils were drained, as evidenced from their dead and dimming colors.

"What's going on?" asked the Chief to the Weapon as the orb's fury only seemed to increase. He put his palm out again as the Weapon's avatar disappeared as it appeared on his HUD.

"I don't have the slightest idea…" said the Weapon as she began to have a terrified expression on her face.

"Chief! What is goin…" the voice of Echo-216 faded away in a loud crackle as the lightning began to become more intense.

Then one of the lightning beams slammed into him, as it cracked the air around it. It hit his Mjolnir as his shields began to blare a warning in his ears as they were drained away.

"Chief!" the Weapon yelped as his HUD began to go haywire. It became too scrambled as all the warnings became ineligible.

A portal opened violently as yellow crackles ripped open the space time continuum. It began to suck the Spartan II into the rift as the last thing Chief saw was a dim white light as the world around him went dark.

As the light died down within the room, only the presence of the corpses remained. The Master Chief was no longer there…

Whatever happened there was now gone as the orb fell silent.

The UNSC lost its best soldier. Not to mention that it also lost its most valuable AI as well. The Battle over Zeta Halo would take a dark turn, and the UNSC would do anything for a saving grace…

I may be having fun with this, publishing this nearly three year old story. Then again. That goes the same to the rest of the stories that I'd written. If I am bothered to even write it.

I don't know if this is alright. But a Spartan who had saved humanity two and fought off against powerful beings, I certainly can say that he had upset the balance of Star Wars.

Get ready for what is about to come Star Wars, the Master Chief has ended up in your universe and he'll do things his way. But that doesn't mean that he is the only Spartan and from his galaxy being there. A select few had been chosen.

Now then, what kind of Influence would you want to see when the Master Chief/John-117 interacts with the Natives of the Star Wars Galaxy? But no shipping cause, y'know, shipping wars and I am really bad at shipping. Also, will the Weapon be interested in certain parts of their galaxy? I guess you would have to find out sooner or later.

With that done, I will see you when the next chapter gets published and have a wonderful day.
