So in thinking about Buttercup's life with her 'Dad' I figured that since she's probably a late sleeper but she's now old enough to fix her own food and be by herself in the house, her Dad normally doesn't wake her up most days he just goes to work at the lab and expects to see her up and about when he comes home and Buttercup made sure to keep the door to her room closed like it always is when she's sleeping to avoid arousing suspicion so she probably has a few hours before she gets a phone call from Dad
The next morning Buttercup was gently woken by Mikey and Don.
"Hey…" Don said "...You...You want breakfast?"
Yawning and rubbing her eyes Buttercup said "As long as its not bacon!"
The two turtles laughed awkwardly "No, no...We would never ask you to commit cannibalism!" Don chuckled nervously realizing this was the first mutant they had encountered who was also a common livestock animal "What do you normally eat?"
Buttercup sat up and yawned some more "I know pigs are normally omnivores but I try to mostly stick to a lacto-ovo vegetarian diet...I mean sometimes I'll eat fish or shellfish if I'm really craving it but I normally try to avoid meat...I guess I just have too much empathy for my fellow farm animals...In truth I very rarely eat 'breakfast' foods because I normally sleep through breakfast so normally my first meal of the day is lunch."
"Well…" Mikey said "...Our kitchen is pretty stocked right now...Is there anything in particular you would like?"
"Could you make...Smoothies?" Bacon Bit asked
She told them her favorite smoothie from the smoothie shop her Dad would get her an all fruit smoothie mixing frozen peaches, mangoes and strawberries with white grape juice. Mikey mixed these ingredients together in a blender with some ice and said "I think I'm gonna try this smoothie recipe for myself later!"
So while Buttercup sat and drank her breakfast Don sat down at the kitchen table.
"So…" He said "I checked those spam reviews on your stories with the link you gave Mikey...I was not expecting much just the typical things you'd expect from a bot account...And...Suddenly...Something happened when I tried to hack into these accounts…"
Buttercup's ears perked up, knowing he found more than he expected.
"Seems like these multiple bot farm accounts...They're protecting themselves from being hacked because they stole coding from the Riddler of Gotham City! I know this can't be the Riddler himself doing this because he would never waste his efforts on a cheap scam like this...But it seems someone stole his intellectual property...And if someone were to make him aware of what his hard work was being used for…"
Buttercup smiled "You're saying sic one of the most notorious rogues of Arkham on these pests!"
"Exactly!" Don said "I thought this would be nothing but just your ordinary internet spam...Boy was I mistaken! Something is definitely rotten in Denmark this is no ordinary scam! We got to look into this!"
So yeah obviously making up something about these bot accounts but realistically had to give these cartoon heroes and villains a more logical reason to care other than just doing it because a friend asked them
