So I decided to get this plot point that I was going to save for when the heroes finally encounter Scarecrow out of the way now as way to distract from the scene when Buttercup is arguing with her Dad, like if this was a cartoon the argument would be so unpleasant the scene would switch to say 'Why don't we check in on the super villain instead?'
When Buttercup had just about finished her smoothie...She heard the distinct sound of her cell phone ringing...She had brought her cell phone in case anything went wrong and Turtle Titan was not who he said he was, but the Young Sow was also squeaking because she also knew her Dad had a tracking device installed in her phone in case of emergencies…
Don narrowed his eyes and Buttercup "Is that your Dad Buttercup?"
"Hang on!" Buttercup said as she got up from the kitchen table and rushed back over to the sofa where she left her overcoat because her phone had been left in the pocket "I'll get it!"
She answered the phone "H-Hi Dad!" She said already beginning to sweat with nervousness
"Buttercup…" Dr. Fleshier was obviously trying to keep his voice steady, trying not to scream "I realized I forgot the extra hydrogen-peroxide so I went back home to get it...And I just decided to check on you to find you weren't in your room...I check the tracking device and it shows you're in the sewers! What in the name of Heaven is going on?!"
Meanwhile in Gotham City Scarecrow having escaped along with all the other Arkham Rogues was in one of many spare hideouts, busy at his desk working on his newest plan to spread terror through Gotham City, hunched over as usual like a stereotypical gargoyle he liked to imagine his Scarecrow persona was kin to...When suddenly he felt a sharp pain in his lower abdomen!
He tried to brush it off as nothing...Just a twitch he told himself...But then the pain came again...And the urge to urinate...This wasn't the ordinary need to relieve himself as he was soon to find out.
When he went to the bathroom to empty his bladder...Jonathan Crane screamed with pain as it felt like he was passing napalm it hurt so much!
But being the consummate scientist that he was he delicately took a sample of the urine which was cloudy looking another bad sign, and took it to his microscope along with taking out some of his medical textbooks, although he could already tell it wouldn't be long before he would feel the urge to urinate again.
He had contracted a bladder infection...Cystitis! How on Earth did he contract this? His textbooks told him it was more common in women...But he also knew that seeking medical aid would result in him being sent right back to Arkham!
"And if anyone else finds out about this…" He moaned "...I'll be the laughing stock of Gotham!"
I learned about cystitis from a TMNT Fanfic where apparently April was suffering it in one chapter documenting the time she was staying with the Turtles
