I forgot to mention this in the last chapter but in the Mutants in the Now RPG Buttercup's species the Miniature Pig her species special ability is called 'Social Swine' and basically this means a Mini Pig PC can use this ability to get either the effects of Cat Fancy (The Ability of Domestic Cats which helps them get things they want from a human character) or Good Dog (The Ability of Domestic Dog characters to make most humans not want to hurt you if you haven't harmed or threatened them also gives them a plus to deescalating situations) but not both personally I think the effects of Good Dog are better but that's just me seems like Buttercup used that ability in the previous chapters

After Jonathan Crane locked the bedroom door, the Turtles tried to hover around the door to eavesdrop however the ancient floorboards creaked and groaned alerting Jonathan to their presence

"And no eavesdropping!" He hollered "Go downstairs and wait for us!"
So feeling very irritated that one sickly super villain was telling them what to do...The Turtles trudged back downstairs to the living room to wait and hope Jonathan would maintain his word that he would be nothing but honorable with Buttercup.

"Stupid...Frickin...Beanpole…" Raph muttered to himself as he stomped back and forth "...Why I have half a mind to go back up there and break down that door and…"
"Raph…" Don said "...I think Buttercup will be OK."
"How do you know?" Raph asked

"Thinking about...Well Professor Crane's body language particularly when he was talking to Buttercup...He was obviously freaked out but I could see in his eyes he was also intensely curious...Professor Crane isn't like Bishop...Bishop seemed fueled by hatred by everything not human and wants to dissect us to see what kind of goodies he can harvest from our bodies. Sure he'll work with us, but that's pure pragmatism on his part when it suits his own goals...Professor Crane...For all his faults he does seem more like a genuine scientist as he's fueled by a genuine curiosity, the need to know I could almost see...That spark of childlike wonder in his eye looking at Buttercup...Plus he already seems more respectful than the likes of Bishop or Stockman calling Buttercup 'a lady' really he already seems to have accepted us as people his objection to us being in the bedroom seemed purely professional based on us being 'heroes' particularly Mikey being a member of the Justice Force…"

Meanwhile as Jonathan Crane and Buttercup were discussing exactly what was going to happen. Jonathan asked "Why are you helping a notorious rogue like me? Clearly those Turtles know who I am so why would you willingly aide and abet a known criminal?"
"Well…" Buttercup said as she folded her arms "...To be perfectly honest I do have my own selfish reasons for wanting to help you...We were coming to Gotham for a reason...And since we found you here we might as well ask you...Could you help us find the Riddler?"
"Why do you want to find him?" Jonathan asked

"Because someone is using his riddle coding to send spam." Buttercup said

Jonathan raised an eyebrow "That canned pork?" He said

"Spam emails." Buttercup said

Jonathan sighed "I'm afraid you'll have to inform me on what that is...I'm a bit of a Luddite when it comes to the newest technologies I use the computer as little as possible…"
And so Buttercup explained to him what Spam emails were and particular the Spam emails she had been getting on her online stories.

"So basically…" Jonathan said "...This is the internet equivalent of telemarketing...That seems like such a petty nuisance of a thing to get revenge over even the likes of us wouldn't bother to go after telemarketers! Though I have long suspected that telemarketers work in underground bunkers to protect themselves from people who have even less patience than us...And I suppose if I was more of an artist myself I would find these 'reviews' all fawning with vague praise but only exist to try to bilk money from me a genuine insult!"
Jonathan said "Either way I could use a good laugh after all I've been through so for the sake of the medicine I'll see if I can get you in touch with the Riddler."
I like the idea that Jonathan is so behind the times that if someone says 'spam' he assumes the canned meat
