So...Apparently X got hacked today...By Ukraine apparently...There goes my plan to bend Mr. Musk's ear about this spam problem as it's clear he's gonna be busy for a while...Anyway in imagining what might comes next I quickly realized that Riddler could add to the two-way radio balls seen in Riddler's Reform to record as well
"Well…" Buttercup said "...My Dad told me how I mutated was he and some other scientists found this mysterious...Blue goo...Oozing from a cave wall…"
No one knew that Edward had hidden under his sleeve one of his two-ray radio toys from his brief stint as a toy maker and he had adjusted so it now also had the ability to record sounds for later not just transmit speech from one ball to the other because to tell the truth he was VERY curious about these mutant animals and how such creatures could come to be.
"...From a cave wall." Edward said with a raised eyebrow "...Interesting...Did your...Father ever tell you which particular cave that was?"
"No…" Buttercup sighed "...I suppose I could have asked but I think he wouldn't have divulged if I did he probably doesn't want me poking into my origins."
Jonathan noticed the Turtle with the purple mask...Donatello was his name wasn't it? Quietly step back into the kitchen. From his position in the rocking chair which looked into the kitchen. He saw the Mutant Turtle sit down at the kitchen table and open up his laptop computer.
This all sounded really suspicious to Donatello too...Because if this really was some 'natural phenomena' you would think someone else would have discovered it! Donatello didn't just suspect Buttercup's adoptive father of not telling the whole truth, he suspected the scientist of telling and outright lie! So to check on this he began searching for 'mysterious substances oozing from cave walls'
"All right…" Edward said "...So how did this substance mutate you?"
"They injected it into me to see what would happen." Buttercup said "Nothing seemed to happen for the first few minutes so most just went home leaving only the security camera watching me...That was when the changes started…"
That was when the Mutant Sow got a very pained expression as she remembered "Funny…" She said softly
"What's funny?" Mikey asked
"That night…" Buttercup said "...When the changes started it was immensely painful at first I just lay there on the floor of my cage frozen with pain! And then...I saw…"
"Saw what?" Jonathan felt his breath catch in his throat as he recognized Buttercup's expression as that of someone remembering a fear gas hallucination!
"I remember seeing…" Buttercup said "...What looked like the ceiling get torn open by two sets of claws! And instead of the normal sky I saw instead a...A great eye! It was a yellow eye with a slit pupil like a carnivore animal! When I told Dad about it...He dismissed it as just a hallucination brought on by the pain of mutation, but I couldn't shake the feeling that it wasn't just that…"
Just then Buttercup's stomach rumbled
"Excuse me…" The Mutant Potbellied Pig said "...I think I need breakfast."
