[Virbank City: Reynoso]
It was the middle of the night, Lee and May were in the Pokémon Center, probably sleeping or arguing near the TV. Meanwhile, Reynoso was outside by the Thug Grilling, with a midnight crew trying to make some money in the wreckage of a Water City, known as Virbank City.
Reynoso didn't mind the smell. It's excellent for the new Gym Leader, who's getting her results back tonight. That way, the Kanker Crew won't have to take a boat all the way to Striaton City or Nacrene City for that matter.
Wait? Who is Reynoso, you may ask? He is the Stepbrother of Lee, May and Marie Kanker. He is a wonderful worker and a school vendor. He is, of course, Mexican, but he lost his own parents and family due to some border disputes that made them disappear, however, the states wouldn't give him up back to what's left of his family. And he made it all the way here.
Now you might not know, he did win the Championship of Hoenn for a few days during the Kanker Vacation with an Odd Team. He would take over Unova like he would with Hoenn, but the question was, would that hurt his sister, Marie? Not emotionally, but physically and spiritually, for her body and soul were under attack by some Ghost Pokémon. Wiping the board clean with his Hoenn Pokémon would not be safe considering the ghosts will do the same to him if he's not careful. But he did gain one item that will help fight Marie's Ghost, and that is the "Cleanse Tag" that he keeps tucked in the secret pocket of his backpack. He won it at the Hex Maniac Ghost Royale of Mt Pyre. And furthermore he has a Ghost Pokémon at the Pokémon Home App on his Phone, ready to strike Ghost Marie, but for now, it's on hold for he's keeping this Pokémon a Surprise. THIS IS his Trophy Ghost Pokémon, a Dusclops. He has the Reaper Cloth, as well. It's all in the matter of finding the right time to cook the solution to get his sister back, but he wonders if the Ghost Marie used to have a body of her own… He'll have to learn more, the fact that he learned more Mt Pyre, a huge secret. But to do that, he'll need a sacrifice… but what?
"Sir…? Sir? Are you okay?" Asked a Sleepy Waitress, a Guitarist waved at him. "You've been dumping Pokédollars in this Jar that's for tips… I'm sure we're gonna hurry up for your meal…"
"No need." Said Reynoso. "I asked for a Bowl of Crunchy Peanut Butter and Chocolate Cereal, as said on the Menu. But if I can't get that, then a can of Energy Drink shall do. You can cancel my order, take my money, and you can give me that Energy Can, because it's all I need."
"With pleasure." She said as she gave him the can.
Reynoso cracked open the can as he took a sip of it as it woke him up with that one sip.
"Thank you." Said Reynoso with a thumbs up.
Next to him were two sad slouches. To some of you, it's Roxie and N. To Reynoso, it's another heaping case of pain and lessons they've learned, executing them in battle and losing.
"On the sad notes, are we?" Asked Rey. He looked once more at the two. He looked at the waitress and lifted up 300 Pokédollars. "Two Buckets of Water."
After splashing Roxie and N awake with water, Roxie roared out. "WHY MUST THE WORLD SHAKE ME AWAKE?! I HATE IT!"
"Believe me, it's pain and suffering I see…" N sighed. "My strength alone is not good enough… If only I had the Legendary Dragons… Zekrom and Reshiram…"
"I have NO IDEA what you just said… but I'm just not ready to become a gym leader…" Roxie sighed.
Reynoso began to think as he took notes.
"If it ain't the granddaddy of all liars…" said Reynoso. "I'm sure it's nothing more than to find sorrow within trainers these days. I'm sure we all have bad days, but for tonight, let's not waste it trying to feed the inner demon coal from our tears, shall we not?"
I guess so…" said Roxie.
"What makes you speak like that when you know the world is a mess?!" Asked N.
"Look, I may not look like it… But I'm just a Champion." Said Reynoso. "Starting Fresh."
"I see…" said N. "Well tell me, Champion. What's your secret?"
"Well, know your enemy, know yourself. Love your enemies and your neighbor as yourself. Isn't it all we want these days? Love and Peace? I believe it's expensive nowadays, but it shouldn't cost more than a cheap deodorant." Reynoso replied.
Suddenly two thugs walked up to the bar and saw Roxie.
"Hey! Isn't that Roxie?!" Asked one thug.
"The cutie?! Oh yeah! Congrats on becoming the Gym Leader!" Asked the other one.
"Will you two quit it… I don't feel well…" Roxie groaned.
The two thugs pushed Reynoso and N off their chairs as they tried to harass Roxie.
N and Reynoso got up as N summoned his Pokémon, a Scraggy.
Meanwhile, Reynoso played on his Phone.
N looked at Ray as he suddenly held his hands in the air as two Pokéballs were zapped into his arms from the sky.
"Now, let's begin..." Said Ray. "Chopper! Giggles! Let's go!"
Ray summoned his two Pokémon,Chopper the Machop and Giggles the Mime Jr.
Chopper was a bluish-gray Pokémon with large arm muscles. He had three brown ridges on his head, rib-like protrusions on his sides, had a tail, and resembled a human child.
Giggles was small in stature and stands 2 feet (0.6m) and weighs 28.7 pounds (13 kg). She has a bright pink body and arms. There was a red circle on her stomach. Her nose resembled a red clown nose. She also wore a black crooked hat with a white bulb at the top.
Ray's Pokémon Home SPOKE out loud.
"Machop, the Superpower Pokémon. Though small in stature, it is powerful enough to easily heft and throw a number of Geodude at once. It loves to build its muscles. It trains in all styles of martial arts to become even stronger."
"Mime Jr, the Mimic Pokémon. It mimics the expressions and motions of those it sees to understand the feelings of others. It likes places where people gather. It mimics their foes to confuse them, then makes its getaway."
The two thugs faced N and Reynoso.
"Hey!! This is our chick! Get lost!" The First Thug spoke.
"This is Virbank's Gym Leader in case you didn't know!" Reynoso frowned as he cornered the two thugs.
"As much as People abusing their Pokémon is bad… It's worse when people pick on defenseless ones during their worst times!" N spoke.
[Reynoso liked that!]
"OH YEAH??" The two thugs jumped in trying to personally hurt Reynoso and N as the two leaped back and to a side where the thugs landed into the Sea Water from a bridge!

N and Reynoso looked at each other as Roxie looked back with a slight guilt on her face.
"You know, I actually thought we would have a Pokémon Battle…" said Reynoso.
"Maybe they carry nothing?" Asked N.
"Yeah… Maybe don't try to date me without a Pokémon." Roxie chuckled lightly.
"You were on a date?" Asked Reynoso.
"No! I mean- Those guys I don't know! Seriously! I have a boyfriend, he just… never calls…" said Roxie sighing.
"As for you." Reynoso faced N. "What a nice man you are!"
"Well, I'm technically not of that age." Said N.
"But still, despite all your beliefs, you still stood up to those guys like… a man." Said Reynoso.
"You know, anybody can do that, it's just…" N replied.
"It shouldn't cost an arm and a leg? Yeah…" Roxie, N and Reynoso replied altogether.
"You know." The Guitarist waitress replied. "That's the same guy harassing me everytime I work here! I'm thankful that you three showed up!"
"Well anytime ma'am!" Reynoso tipped his cowboy hat. "For now, what can we do?"
"Well I have these Pokémon Eggs." Said the Guitarist Waitress. "I was hoping somebody could have them."
"I've been around the region to identify them." Said Reynoso. "They're Ekans Eggs."
"Eww!" Said the Guitarist.
"Ekans?" Asked Roxie.
"You know… I'm against people abusing Pokémon… BUT, those without a mother or father… I'll make an exception." N replied. "And besides, aren't Ekans an invasive creature?"
"You can find them down by the Farms, over there." Said Reynoso, pointing to Floccesy Ranch.
"Well, I might as well rest." Said N as he yawned. "Keep the change."
N leaves the scene.
"As for you, here." Said Reynoso, handing over a free $1000. "For the harassment, you can probably buy a Pokémon for those thugs… If they haven't captured anything yet."
"It's expensive to buy Pokéballs but I understand and THANK YOU VERY MUCH!" The Guitarist smiled. "What's your name?"
"Eduardo Reynoso Kanker." Said Reynoso. "Most people call me Ray because it says in English, 'Ray Knows So'. And I get bombarded with Math problems from teachers."
All of a sudden, one of the eggs hatched. And Reynoso was right, it was an Ekans.
Ekans was a snake-like Pokémon with purple and yellow coloring. His underside leading to his tail was yellow, and he had a yellow rattle at the tip of his tail. Ekans had large, yellow eyes with slit, reptilian pupils. Across his neck is a large, yellow band.
Reynoso smiled.
"Ekans, the Snake Pokémon. It sneaks through grass without making a sound and strikes unsuspecting prey from behind.The older it gets, the longer it grows. At night, it wraps its long body around tree branches to rest."
"Choice!" Said Roxie.
"Wow… You remind me of someone back home." Said Reynoso.
"Who?" Asked Roxie.
"None of that matters now. I'm sure it'll be all good. Now get some rest. Tomorrow I must fight you to get your badge." Reynoso stretched as he just watched the sea.
"What about you?" Asked Roxie.
"Let me finish this Energy Drink." Said Reynoso. "And MAYBE I'll go to bed."
"Fine by me… Good night." Said Roxie as she leaves with the Ekand slithering on her arm.
Reynoso looked sideways as he dumped another tip for the Guitarist.
"Alright! Stop it with those tips!" The Guitarist frowned.
"Do you want the tip? Or the whole thing?" Asked Reynoso.
