Harry Potter scenes that should have been canon
Chapter 1: Dean realizes the pattern
On a cold Friday afternoon of February 14th, 1997, Dean and Ginny were in Hogsmeade walking to the Three Broomsticks, Dean tried to hold Ginny's hand as they walk to the pub, but she moved her hand slightly away looking at him in disgust. He sighs at this he wanted Ginny to be happy with him, however she always says, "Thanks but no thanks." When he gave her some flowers this morning and even a painting of her beating Slytherin that he made as Christmas gift for her. She told him that Luna created one for her beating Cho Chang last year already for her as a birthday present. Also, when he attempts to hug or kiss Ginny she screams, "Eww get the hell away from me." As if he was going to hurt her, which he is not. He is Ginny's boyfriend, and he wants to do is kiss, hug, and hold her as well as give her gifts.
As they made their way to wizarding pub Dean opens the door for Ginny and she snarled at him. He huffs at this he hopes Harry will stroll on by changing her mood. Ah yes Harry Potter the chosen one, the boy who lived, and the boy she likes since she was five. Ginny looks at Ron and Lavender who are still together and eating Spaghetti and Meatballs. She huffs at this wondering if her brother is ever going to break up with the ditzy clingy Gryffindor and fall in love with Hermione like he always wanted to. Her eyes shift towards a couple wearing black hoodies who are being led by a house elf into one of the private dining rooms. She wonders if that was Malfoy or two Slytherins wanting to meet Malfoy for recruitment being a part of You-Know-Who's army. She will ditch Dean to go tell Harry about this.
They walk up to Madam Rosmerta who was behind the bar counter greeting the Gryffindors with a smile, "Hello Miss Weasley, Mr. Thomas. What can I do for you two?"
"We'd like a table." Stated Dean, with Ginny rolling her eyes and shrugging her shoulders.
"Okay would you like a public seating or private seating." Asked Madam Rosmerta
"Public would be fine." Dean said then looks at Ginny who has an uninterested look on her face.
"Alright." Madam Rosmerta replied dutifully then asked, "What do you like to eat and drink?"
"What do you have?" Dean asked
"Well, we have Spaghetti and Meatballs, Fish and Chips, Steak, Cheeseburgers, Grilled Chesse with Tomato Soup on the side, Chicken Tenders, and Salad. For the beverages we have Water, Lemonade, Soda, Pumpkin Juice, Butterbeer, and Milk." Madam Rosmerta informed
"We have -"
"I'll have Fish and Chips with a glass of Pumpkin Juice." Ginny interrupted Dean
"Okay." Madam Rosmerta said then turns to Dean and ask, "What would you like Mr. Thomas?"
"Uh I get the Grilled Cheese with Tomato soup on the side as well as a glass of Lemonade." Dean replied with a sigh he wanted to share the Spaghetti and Meatballs with Ginny just like the 1955 Disney movie Lady and the Tramp.
"Alright" Madam Rosmerta said Dutifully. Then instructs the two, "If you would please follow me."
The two Gryffindors followed the Three Broomsticks owner to a table that was in the middle of the pub. Dean attempts to pull up a chair for Ginny, but she looked at him angrily. He sighs at this he only wanted to be a gentleman to his lady apparently, she doesn't want that as she takes her seat, and he takes his. If he was Harry Potter Ginny would head over heels for him. At this point Dean wonders is Ginny really using him to get her crush Harry Potter jealous? Although it is true however he wants to put it in the back of his mind and focus on the date. Minutes later two glasses appeared one filled with Lemonade and the other with Pumpkin Juice. Then the house-elves brought their entrees, Fish and Chips and Grilled Cheese with Tomato Soup.
As Dean and Ginny started eating their eating the food, Dean asks, "Why were you looking at that hooded couple?"
Ginny put her piece of fish down and answered, "What hooded couple?"
"The ones that went into the Private Dining rooms." Dean replied
"Oh." Ginny said annoyed, "That is none of your business."
"None of my business?" Dean asked in confusion
"Yeah, it's none of your business." Ginny said it proudly "Only me, Ron, Neville, Luna, Hermione, and Harry are allowed to know what's going at Hogwarts."
"Since when you six became the high council?" Dean asked
"Ever since we created the Dumbledore's Army it's just us six." Ginny told him
"Okay." Dean then asked, "Speaking of Harry why is it whenever Harry walks into where we are you kiss me and when he leaves you push me off then you go into the bathroom and cry."
"I don't do that." Ginny said defensively
"Yes, you do." Dean replied
"No, I don't cry Dean I love you." Ginny said as she touched his face trying to win him over again
Feeling something other than love from Ginny, Dean moves her hand from his face and says with a straight face, "I don't believe you"
"Dean please believe me." Ginny pleaded as Dean was not buying her nonsense "You're breaking my heart."
"Breaking your heart?" Dean said in a harsh tone "More like you broke my heart after you were using me to get Harry jealous you ungrateful selfish bitch."
Ginny trembled in anger no one ever called a bitch before she sees her sixth older brother having a good time with his girlfriend Lavender she growls to Dean "You are going to be fucking sorry."
Dean shrugs "Okay whatever."
Ginny gets up and screams alerting everyone in the broomsticks, "RON, CAN YOU COME OVER HERE NOW!"
Both Ron and Lavender huffs at this and comes over to Dean and Ginny's table and asks, "What's going here?"
Ginny looks at Ron with puppy-dog eyes and pretending to be hurt "Dean called me a bitch."
Ron looks at Dean and then remembers hearing the conversations between Ginny and Hermione about how to make Harry fall in love with Ginny by using Neville, Michael, and now Dean to make him jealous. "Ginny just stop playing the victim because we all know you are using Dean to get Harry jealous." He said as he sides with Dean
"Ron, that's not true it's just that I love Dean. He is being a git right now." Ginny said, defending her claim.
"If you really love me Ginny then you should you accept my affection and gifts regardless of Harry being around us." Dean chimed
"I do you love you Dean. It's just that I'm not like other girls." Ginny replied
Dean, Ron, and Lavender looked at each other trying to make sense of what Ginny said about not being like other girls. This last straw for Dean at first, he wanted to make things right hoping that Ginny would fall in love with him instead of waiting for her crush and his dormmate Harry Potter to come in and sweep her off her feet.
"You know what Ginny I'm done with you okay it's over." Dean told Ginny as he gets up from his chair
Ginny's amber eyes flashed with anger again, she wanted to break up with Dean on her terms that being Harry kissing her right in front of him and everyone. She walks up to Dean and smacks him across the face before she could walk away Parvati came over and punched Ginny on the nose. Ginny tries to retaliate as blood drips down from her nose, but the Indian Gryffindor grabbed her arm and threw her in to the ground and put her arm into lock.
"You touch Dean like that again Weasley and we are going to have a fucking problem now get out." Parvati growled
Ginny nodded, then Parvati let Ginny go and left the Three Broomsticks. Parvati took some deep breath, her heart started to beat erratically, and her stomach was doing backflips at what she did. Her twin sister, Padma and her friend Lavender came over to Parvati then patted her on the back. Dean came over to her and said in grateful tone, "Thanks for defending my honor, Parvati." He then gives Parvati a hug.
"Your welcome Dean." Parvati replied, hugging Dean back "It's just that I couldn't bear to watch you being used by that red-headed she-devil."
"Yeah, I know Parvati." Dean sighed "I just wanted to make things right, but Ginny was too bloody damn obsessed with trying to get Harry as her boyfriend"
"Now that's not going to happen if Harry finds out about this." Ron chimed
"Yep, that's true news travels fast around here." Dean said he then asks Ron, "Speaking of your best friend and our Dormmate where is he?"
"I don't know the last I saw him was after Transfiguration then just vanished somewhere." Ron answered, "Anyway let's have a butterbeer with Seamus and Neville."
"Yeah, I'm up for that." Dean said
"Me too." Parvati said
Dean, Ron, Parvati, Lavender, and Padma went over to Seamus and Neville and ordered their own pint of Butterbeer. With all of his friends here at the three Broomsticks Dean puts his break-up with Ginny behind him.
