Westside Island, Kingdom of Acorn

He reached yesterday.

Tomorrow is nearly yesterday.

Walking through the corridor, Sonic stops as he sees a rabbit boy in a red jacket and a green canary girl in a black and red striped sweater standing in the same room as him.

"Tekno? Johnny?"

"Sonic! I knew you'd come back!" Tekno is glad that Sonic is okay.

"Yo. How's your new adventure going?" Johnny asked.

"It's a lot to say." Sonic is unsure whether to say it's good or stressful.

"Because Eggman tries to hinder the past?" Tekno asks as if she remembers the events Sonic went through.

"You knew?" Sonic halts with surprise.

"Let's just say you're not from here. From what I scanned, your timeline is said to be tomorrow. It looks like the chaos emeralds are also affected by time travelling." Tekno explained.

"In other words, you're still in grave danger if Eggman successfully entered the past. It's not just you, but your friends and family, even a lady that changed you." Johnny warned as he feared for his potential future.

"Why Meg?" Sonic asked with a serious look.

"Because she reshaped you. The doctor sees this as a threat after learning what you did throughout your journeys, even when we first met. At first, I agreed with him, but later I realised that he took us away from our parents. I hate to admit it, but I never knew my parents. I was raised by the infamous Rabbit Gang just like Breezie." Tekno admitted her truth after explaining.

"The Rabbit Gang?" Sonic is confused about what Tekno said.

"They're nothing but trouble. Even worse, their leader is a rabbit mom. She's called Vanilla the Rabbit and we must stay away from her." Said Johnny.

Before the conversation continues, Sally appears by opening the door and approaches the trio as she puts her hand on her hip.

"I heard you three are talking about the Rabbit Gang." Sally asked.

"Well, I was curious. I didn't know Tekno was raised by them." Said Sonic.

"Raised by a bunch of dangerous criminals, I'm surprised you didn't turn out to be like those thugs." Sally said calmly to Tekno.

"I mean, they're not that bad. Mom's actually kind if you get to know her." Tekno giggles while rubbing her head.

"A rabbit is your mom?" Sonic now loses the plot as he rubs his head.

"It's a long story. So, your highness, why're we here?" Tekno asked.

"To bring Sonic back. There's a time distortion, not because of the chaos emerald, but because of Eggman's machine that's been messing with time itself." Sally answered.

As the 4 walk together, Sally looks at Sonic from behind.

"If you're curious about my past, then don't. My history is just normal. I meet people that are unfortunate and you're one of them, even Tekno and Johnny. Considering you did my job by helping others, I have to thank you." Sally chuckles while looking at Sonic.

"Well, what can I say, I have to help my friends." Sonic said.

Afterwards, Sonic halts after seeing the younger Sally that looks similar to Bunnie's past, making him follow the child as Sally stops herself.

"What on earth?" Sally gasped.

"Is that you?" Tekno asked, shocked that there's another Sally.

"Probably be your sister." Johnny assumed.

Sally does the same as Sonic, leading Tekno and Johnny to follow her.

At the garden, the same garden that Tania and Elias trained at, Sonic stops as a younger Sally sits on a fountain ledge and looks in Sonic's eyes.

"Hey, mister."

"Sally? What's going on?" Sonic is unsure what's going on.

"Sonic! What is this? I don't remember time travelling to the future."

"Nope. I'm just a chaos emerald that is showing you what your future will become if you don't stop the one that's causing damage to order." The chaos emerald form of Sally said, making Sonic and the real Sally look at each other.

As Tekno and Johnny arrive, they're not hallucinating as Sonic and Sally saw her too.

"Sonic, we're giving you a warning. Don't use us otherwise you'll be consumed by the negative energy along with us. Your emotion is causing harm to us as it does with you." Chaos Sally said with a serious expression, making Sonic lower his head.

"And what about us?" Sally asked.

"You're fine. Just not exposed to our energy. Princess Sally Acorn, Tekno the Canary and Johnny Lightfoot, if you wanna save Sonic and his friends and stop the hindrance, I suggest bringing him back. If the man dares enter the past, then chase him down. Bring him back to the present." Chaos Sally walks past Sonic and his friends as her body glows green.

"Sally…" Johnny whispers quietly, making Chaos Sally smile.

"Sonic. Please, don't harm Knuckles. You two are the most important bearers of the chaos emeralds. Just like your mother… Just like his father." Chaos Sally concludes.

Sonic nods and raises his hand as Chaos Sally disappears as a green chaos emerald falls into Sonic's hand.

Afterwards, Tekno pat Sonic's shoulder and turn towards Sally.

"Sonic, when we first met, I thought of you as a boy full of delusions, thinking that you're the fairytale that doesn't exist. My point still stands." Sally expresses her honesty towards Sonic.

"I know." Sonic agreed, making Sally, Tekno and Johnny exclaim with surprise.

"Huh?"

"Because I'm never going to be Sonic. But I will be the Sonic you see. I remembered why Sonic was popular, he's the hero that everybody dreamed about. I'm not a hero, but I'm alright playing the villain. I'll make their dreams come true, but I'm not letting them have their expectations." Sonic smirks while looking up.

"So what you're saying is Sonic is just a fairytale and you'll create another one?" Sally asked.

"Yeah. If I meet this fairytale, then we'll beat Eggman together." Sonic looks away, making Sally chuckle.

"I guess I underestimated you. It's no wonder Bunnie likes you. I hope you and her go on a date together." Sally sighs as she wants Bunnie and Sonic to be together.

"What!? No way! I told her, I'm not interested!" Sonic snapped.

"Seriously!? I mean Amy has a thing for you, so surely you go out with her!" Tekno points out.

"No." Sonic bluntly declined.

"And I was thinking why you're popular with the girls." Johnny sighs out of jealousy.

As Sally and Tekno laugh, Sonic and Johnny fold their arms as Sonic feels embarrassed and Johnny looks away from Sonic.

"Anyway, we need to bring Sonic back right now." Sally said.

"Right." Tekno and Johnny nod, only for Johnny to tap Sonic's arm and run.

"C'mon!" Johnny waves as he rushes towards the building.

After Sonic and others are inside the building, Sally and Tekno are preparing a slingshot as the target is Angel Island, specifically Marble Garden, Johnny is pushing the large slingshot towards the window as Sonic hops on it.

"Okay, if my calculations are correct, then Sonic's speed should be over mach speed. With the chaos emeralds, he can become Super Sonic and then open the gate to his present, meaning the time distortion is going to be prevented."

"Then let us begin! Johnny, lift the target!" Sally orders as Johnny growls by pulling the lever as the slingshot is targeting Angel Island.

This has Tekno scanning the distance, only for the target to lock.

"Locked!"

"Okay! Sonic! Are you okay with flying!?" Sally calls as she checks up on Sonic's condition.

"If Super Sonic's okay, then I'm okay as well!" Sonic widens his grin as he braces himself.

"Okay! NOW! FIRE!" Sally yelled.

Finally a loud snapping noise has Sonic zipping out of the kingdom and instantly leaving Westside Island as he's releasing the chaos emeralds, flashing gold as Super Sonic finally boosts at mach speed.

It reminded him of how he's running from Eggman after the Little Planet incident, making him grin and boost forward, only for the Choppers to jump out.

"We meet again, piranhas!" Super Sonic boots one and charges through some as well as spun dashing on them as he pierces through the robots by creating a track of explosions as the animals are flocking freely from their mechanical cages.

He's near Angel Island, making Sonic charge his boost and then dashes as the golden light flashes towards the island, making Sonic go overboard with his speed.

[Now, Sonic!] Sally finally signals Sonic to use his power.

"Chaos Control!" Super Sonic shouts as he created a green wormhole which had him vanishing into green dust.

Present

20XX August 10th

Angel Island, Marble Garden

At the badly damaged Marble Garden, Tania is slashing her Caliburn as Eggman jabs his drills, causing Tails to appear and slam his tails on an arm as Tania cuts a drill arm off.

After that, Amy and Knuckles swing upwards as Eggman shrieks and growls.

"Right! You little brats are starting to annoy me! I will change the past and no one will stop me!" Eggman yells as Egg Drillster fires the drill as it digs through a broken pillar, causing the pillar to fall towards Tails and Tania.

Before the duo are crushed, Knuckles smashes the pillar and raises his fists by defending Tails and Tania.

Amy lands as she raises her hammer next to Knuckles.

"Just give up, Eggman, you're outnumbered. You can't outsmart us this time." Tails said as he stands straight up as well as Tania.

Before Eggman retorts, he's seeing golden feathers raining above him and his opponents.

"What the?"

"Look! It's Sonic!" Amy cheers, making Tails, Knuckles and Tania gasp with excitement.

Super Sonic is found floating above as he smirks and levitates downwards.

"B- Big brother?" Tania is finally able to see her brother again after being split off many times.

"Sonic! Over here!" Tails cheered as he waved.

"Hey! Where have you been!?" Knuckles snapped while raising his fist.

Sonic grins as he's in front of Eggman.

"Game over, Egghead. You lost." Super Sonic speaks out while cracking his knuckles.

"Grr… Looks like you foiled my plan again. This time, we'll race to see who controls the past." Eggman points at Sonic as he'll play fair for now.

"Where to?" Sonic growls, knowing Eggman is going to rid his existence once this is over.

"When Meg is young. The time before she meets you. The time her mother passed away. The time before you made any friends and your sister was born." Eggman grins as Sonic clenches his fists.

"Bring it, baldy. You best not mess with my friends if you wanna play by the rules." Said Sonic, warning Eggman as he's prepared for his own life.

"Of course. We'll play fair for now." Eggman pulls a sinister grin while shaking Sonic's hand, only for Eggman to feel something burning. "Ow! Hmph. Then let us start."

"What gives!? You said you'll stop him from messing with history and now you wanna race!?" Knuckles yells after calling Sonic out on his foolishness.

"Yeah. Because I live to face danger." Sonic admitted while floating in his position. "Ready, Eggman?"

"Heh. Ready as I'll ever be!" Eggman chuckled.

Finally, Super Sonic and Egg Drillster Mk.II vanishes at mach speed again, making Sonic's friends worry that Sonic and Eggman are going through the past again.

As Tails runs off, Knuckles, Amy and Tania turn around as Tails is standing on a green super emerald.

"Chaos Control!" Tails is the first to vanish, making Knuckles grab Amy and Tania's wrists as he grunts.

"That idiot! What is he doing!?" Knuckles growled.

"Knuckles, it's our only chance. Tails has the right idea. We need to stop Eggman before he does something to Sonic." Amy warned.

"Yeah! If he dares do something like that then I won't stop until he sleeps with his one eye open!" Tania growls as animosity gets the best of her.

Knuckles is now conflicted, realising Eggman did lie in order to kill Sonic and his friends, even Mecha Sonic is preprogrammed to kill Sonic himself even when he doesn't want to.

Knuckles raises his head and grips Amy and Tania tighter.

"Normally, girls are weaker, which is the reason why I objected to you participating. But I underestimated the two of you." Knuckles sighs as he realises his culture is something he only remembers.

"It's okay, Knuckles, our cultures are different. You didn't want me tagging along because I'm a girl and that's okay. Bear that in mind that I use a hammer." Amy holds out her Piko Piko Hammer while smirking.

"And I got a sword!" Tania cheered while she raised her energy Caliburn. "Don't worry, Knuckles, we'll save Nicky together."

Knuckles smiles as he sees Amy and Tania growing closer, even Tails is more friendly.

It seems the delinquents are not bad people in truth.

"Okay. Ready?" Knuckles asks as Amy and Tania nods.

Finally the trio takes a deep breath as they yell at the same time.

"CHAOS CONTROL!"

In the end, Knuckles, Amy and Tania disappear as they finally enter the past, meaning Eggman is not just dealing with Sonic, but his friends as well.

The fight for the past begins.
