Chapter 5: The Lost Ancient Laboratory Part 3
Arista and her small group were deep in the ocean and coming toward the underwater tunnel.
The mini-shark sub had a glass window where the eyes would be giving the gang a good view of the inside the tunnel. "It's quite big on the inside," Angela commented.
"That's the only thing, look at the walls." Jula pointed at the walls that looked like metal structures. "Looks like the walls are made of some kind of metal structure."
Arista observed the walls. "Yes, whoever built this kind of tunnel must've wanted to prevent any accidents from happening like cave-ins."
Rena had her arms crossed noticing some lights hanging on the walls above. "Look at those lights, they are above the tunnel, and from how they're lined up, they must go all the way to the end wherever that leads."
In something sparkled was seen at the bottom tunnel floor which caught Arista's eye. "What was that light?" She activated the shark sub's lights which were lit by its eyes and shines where she saw the faint sparkle. "What is it, Arista?"
Arista reached above her and pulled down a lever. A long scope stretched out looked at the item. "Looks like a pendant...a sort of locket." He pressed a button the control console. "Activate Crab Grab Pincers..." One of the pincers grabbed the pendant and pulled it in. The pendant was brought through a drawer that opened on the right side of the console. "Rena, look at the pendant, will you?"
Rena did so and opened it. "Hey look at this picture...its Mavis Vermillion..." Her friends looked over her shoulder.
Jula observed the picture inside the pendant carefully for a moment. "Wait, this woman looks like Mavis, but, she's clearly an adult."
"She's not alone, she's holding a baby and there's a man with her. My guess, that this is Mavis' ancestor and her family." Angela added.
"This is better and better," Thorn commented nearly in awe.
"What I want to know is why a pendant like this was in this tunnel?" Rena wondered scratching her head.
"Anyway, let's continue looking through this tunnel for a little longer and return to the ship," Arista suggested as she drove the sub further through the tunnel.
On the Water Fairy.
Joan was back on the Crow's Nest checking out the scenery through the binoculars. "So far nothing, but, I get the feeling a battle will come soon. I just wonder if the Navy will be arriving they noticed this island."
Mest was scouting the deck. "Looks like things are good for now. Whoever is still on this island must be hiding waiting for their move to strike. I just hope we have time to prepare for the future battles in Wano." He held his hand. "We're going up against a powerful pirate...an emperor...called Kaido." He heard of Kaido's power and how strong he was. "I get the feeling Kaido is more powerful than Acnologia. Though, I don't want to bring that up to the others."
"Mest..." Joan flew down next to the former council member. "You look on edge, is something wrong?"
Mest didn't want to deny his friend was right. "Yes, this battle is going to be intense. Whatever enemy is lurking on this island is strong and when we arrive in Wano, I get the feeling the battle there will be just as tough as our fight against Alvarez Empire." He then felt a light touch on his shoulder causing him to turn his head to see Joan smiling at him. "I understand your concern. The battles that await us are going to be one of the toughest we faced besides Alvarez." She then had a confident smile on her face as she stared at the cloudy sky. "However, we must remember we have each other to pull through this next battle including whatever any in the future."
Mest chuckled lightly feeling a little better looking at the cloudy sky. "Yeah...honestly, it's been so long since we went into battle well besides the one in the World of Magic and Science." He then paused as he glanced at Joan once more seeing her smile making his heart skip a beat and making him pause.
"Uh...Mest, why are you staring at me?" Joan asked with a questionable look.
Mest pulled away completely flushed turning his head to hide the redness on his cheeks. "Oh...sorry, I was j-just...thinking...sorry!"
Lisanna prepared some beef sandwiches and green tea.
Merraid, Mao, Gilberda, and Levy were at the table chowing the snacks. "Mm...these sandwiches taste delicious," Levy said with a gleaming look.
Mao cupped her cheeks. "Yum...so good."
Merraid giggled playfully. "Yes, I wouldn't expect less from a snack maker."
Lisanna giggled a little. "Thanks, but, I learned a little while training a diner during the year of training after the war against Tartaros."
"Is that right," Gilberda said a little intrigued.
"Yes, Mirajane was always a good cook even in her youth," Lisanna gathering some sugar cookies. "As well as preparing sweets. Don't eat much, we'll save some for the others once they return."
Levy was in the ship's library reading a book on Lucy's book. She was having a enjoy look. "Its good to relax..." She looked at her stomach and placed her hand on it smiling warmly. "Hehehehe...I hope to see the day come, but, it'll be for a few more months."
The robot plesiosaur was swimming close to Fairy Tail's flagship seemingly ready to attack.
Back at where Ace's Team was.
Miyaka, Elfman, Mirajane, and Sapphire were guarding the outside. Some were checking out the designs of the area of the buildings and turret cannons.
"This place is big and advanced as far I can tell," Elfman said tapping on the ground. "The steel is old but advanced in some way, though, technology isn't my thing."
"Sapphire, what do you think, you were in Academy City more than any of us," Mirajane reminded.
Sapphire was sniffing the ground. "Sniff...sniff...smells ancient, though, I wouldn't lie that I would say it's advanced, but it's close to what Academy City might've designed."
Miyaka was checking out the turret guns. "Wow, these guns must've fired to shoot down enemies that flew, but, there weren't many flying machines in this world." She recalled the events that she heard of from Sapphire. "Flying machines known as jets, planes, helicopters, and drones were designed for all kinds of things. Carrying people, for warfare, and delivering cargo like equipment or food." She took out her pistol gently tapping on the turret gun. "Some nice iron." She noticed a console on the other side. "Cool, this looks like the console to control it...thought it looks complicated to operate."
A small robotic parakeet was watching them. "Master...some of the humans are here but the others that were with them have entered the base."
Deep in the laboratory base is secret unknown room.
"I see...give them a warm welcome..." The computer screen spoke.
"Yes, master..." The bird's robotic body was enveloped in a pink light and flying toward another flying silhouette.
Inside a hidden chamber within the laboratory base.
Two life capsules had two figures inside them and wires and cords were attached to a supercomputer main frame. The two were androids resembling human beings and were in sleep mode. "Ryuga...I need to use whatever power I have in this mode to contact our guests..."
"..." No sound was heard from the other capsule.
"Please Ryuga...I need your help...our guests are inside the base somewhere in the base...I must use whatever magic I have to connect them through my mind to the virtual dimension."
The other capsule showed no signs of movement or reaction. It seemed hopeless, but, then a light began to envelop the capsule, and magic energy was transferred to the other. "Ryuga...thank you and hang in there...soon...we'll be free."
Ace's small group were passing by some rooms that had large windows. They stopped to look through them. "Wow, look at those machines." Inside one of the room was strange machinery with a table. "Guess, this is where they fix and make these androids."
"Yes, this has the same and with some computers. They must use for scanning and taking close inspectings things they work on." Elfman said putting his hand under his chin.
"I feel like I saw these in a science-fiction movie," Hinata pondered to herself. She then noticed her black wolf was on edge. "Hey Bronx, what's gotten you on edge?"
"I'm not...sure...my lady. I get the feeling something is watching us." He replied in a whispering tone.
"I feel the same way since we entered this place not to mention the entire island," Lily agreed with his arms crossed. "It's obvious that whoever is still lurking on this island will make their move sooner than later."
"The question is, who is watching us and why?" Gajeel questioned as he sniffed the air. "Nothing out of the ordinary except for the destruction here and the broken windows."
"Look here," Ace found a sign that showed the directions of the building's locations. "A map, guess, these guys need one to make sure they won't get lost." He looked at the old map closely. "It's a little directions are a little worn out, but, I think I can read it." After several moments. "Okay...looks like there is a total of seven floors to the bottom and the elevator is about around the corner that way." He pointed forward. " Let's go!"
"You hear, might want to take your pill," Lily suggested.
Gajeel could almost hurl upon hearing the elevator. "It's better than vomiting on the floor, but, unless the elevator is operational, then I'll wait to see what happens." Lily nodded his head.
At the old marshalling yard.
Happy was flying to get a better view of the sky. "This place is kind of eerie, especially being deserted for many years."
"Yeah, we're been only for a few hours and this place is giving me chills," Wendy said almost getting a chill down her spine.
"It's abandoned for years, of course, this would give anyone the chills," Carla commented feeling on edge.".
"I guess we can explore a bit as long as we can stay here," Natsu presumed.
"Aye sir, I'm getting bored just staying in the same place..." Happy paused when he noticed a strange-looking rail turn table. "Guys, look at this!" He flew down as the others ran toward him and landed on a strange rail-turn table. "Looks like some kind of turn table they use in train yards."
"Well, let's do-" Natsu's mouth was immediately covered by Happy's paws giving him a shush expression. "No...don't give us away!"
With that, the two snuck away without the others realizing it, though, Wendy might've overheard their conversation. "You guys..."
"Wendy, Carla, over here!" Chelia was seen waving at them. "I found something." The other dragon's slayer and white exceed approached the sky god slayer who was crouching down noticing an old picture frame. "A picture frame...what's that doing here?" Wendy questioned with a confused look.
"Dunno..." Chelia was wiping the dirt off the photo as much as she could. "Got it clean...now..." After a few more wiping the two looked at the picture.
"Looks like a picture of a woman..." Chelia spoke putting her finger to her chin. "Who's that guy she's with, any bright ideas Wendy?" No reply came from the other girl which made the sky god slayer turn her head. "Wendy...whats'-"
She paused at the two girls' faces showing a look of disbelief and shock. "Wendy, Carla, what's with those looks?"
"Goodness, this woman...she looks just like...Mavis Vermillion..." Wendy stuttered finding her voice. "Only, this woman is an adult..."
Carla was stunned as well. "How could this be possible?" A sudden thought came to her mind. "Wait, could this woman be Mavis' ancestor or is it just a coincidence that she looks like the first master."
Wendy's ear perked a little. "What's...that...sound... it's faint...but..."
Just then the marshalling yard's turn table began to shake. "What the heck..." Chelia said standing up as her voice shook due to the shaking.
In the delivery lounge's office.
Erza and her group were stunned by the extreme tremor. "W-whoa...what is going on?" Lucy asked her voice stammering due to the strong shake.
Old books on shelves fell off. "Is this an earthquake?" Leone asked.
Chelsea was on edge and felt an uncertain danger. "No...whatever is causing this isn't nature's doing."
Inside the Marshalling yard big convention office.
Gray was trying to keep his balance steady. "Talk about a bad time for an earthquake."
"Don't worry Gray, I'll protect you from any falling objects!" Juvia embraced her crush's body tightly nearly dropping the photo frame.
"Now's not the time!" Gray barked comically. "Let's contact Aquapad." He took out the transponder.
Aquapad felt the tremor too just as his transponder started to ring. "Looks like Gray and Juvia feel the tremor too." He held the transponder's receiver. "Hey Gray, is that you?"
"You got it, the place is shaking like crazy!" Gray replied. "Anyway, we're leaving the building, so we'll head outside, if there's a window give me a sign so I can create an ice slide or ladder!"
"Good idea, one sign...coming up," Aquapad pulled back his arm and thrust it forward creating a strong blow toward the wall creating a large hole.
"Thanks for the sign..." Gray and Juvia were already outside and saw the hole. "That's his doing..." Juvia said with a sweat drop.
"Anyway, Juvia, create a water torrent and I'll use my ice to create an ice slide!" Gray ordered.
"My darling is commanding me!" Juvia swooned cupping her cheeks. "Water Nebula!" The torrent reached the hole.
"Good, I'll handle the rest!" Gray placed his hands on the torrent freezing it all.
"Thanks, you guys!" Aquapad slid down until he was at the bottom. "Whoa, that was fun!"
"Not to time to enjoy the slide, let's go!" Gray rushed away as Juvia and Aquapad followed.
"Good thing, I brought this," Juvia held the photo in her cleavage. "It might come in handy."
In the turn table, it starts to separate. "What is this...the turn table is opening..." Chelia pointed out.
"And like a door too!" Wendy added.
Carla gasped as she felt a strong powerful presence. "Girls, be careful, I sense..." She paused as she looked at the two sky sisters. "We sense it..."
"Whatever is down there is coming up." Chelia had a concerned look on her face.
"Where is Natsu and Happy?" Wendy thought looking left and right.
Something big began to rise from within the freight elevator a giant silver robot that resembled a gorilla with some bulky armor parts that looked impenetrable. It was immensely tall. "What is that thing?" Wendy questioned nearly shaking.
"It's some kind of giant gorilla robot!" Chelia summarized.
"It's even bigger than Makarov's giant form too!" Carla commented with wide eyes and that was the only thing on her mind. "Someone must be controlling from the inside because I sense magic power and it's beyond this world..."
"It's not alone!" Wendy pointed and saw several ape-like robots behind the giant robot gorilla.
"Oh no, it's an army of robot apes!" Chelia exclaimed and a sudden thought came to her. "Wait, Carla, is this the vision you saw?"
Carla recollected herself and gave some quick thought. "I'm not sure...these androids look different from the one I saw in my vision."
"Enough gawking..." Something spoke from the inside the robot. "It's time to for me crush you all into a paste..."
"Who said that...who are you?" Chelia called.
"Oh forgive my manners, I'm Caesar...leader of the Machias Ape Empire..." Caesar introduced who was in the cockpit. "To think some lowly flesh creatures would find their way here to this island after 800 years of sleep."
"So, you've been sleeping on this island for 800 years..." Wendy inquired curiously.
"That's right, our future was destroyed by lowly humans and betrayed...as you saw those bastards left us to die...even our savior...Athena Vermillion..."
"Wait...you know...Vermillion...why would you think she betrayed you guys?!" Wendy demanded.
Carla transformed into her human form. "Yeah, the Vermillion we knew before would never abandon her family or friends!"
"You know Vermillion...I'm guessing you're referring to her last bloodline...yes. When I was alive, her team was amongst scientists. They were famous among their people." Caesar sat back on the cockpit seat. "To be more specific. The last time I saw Professor Vermillion, she was pregnant about a few months before the destruction caused her by her hands..."
"NO!" Wendy screamed with tears in the corner of her eyes. "The Vermillion we know or Mavis' ancestor wouldn't do something horrible!"
"What do you know...you weren't there when my people along with the other revived Machias were around!" Caesar stated furiously. "Since you knew the last bloodline of Professor Vermillion, I will be glad to send you all to hell...let your so-called master that her ancestor's betrayal!" The gorilla robot opened its mouth. "Railgun Thunder Beam!" An orange beam resembling a lightning bolt was fired from its mouth.
"Take cover!" Carla yelled as she and the other girls jumped out of the way.
"Requip!" Erza jumped requiping herself in armor. "Adamantine Armor!" Her armor was a large, blue, and navy colored armor. "Adamantine Barrier!" She put two shields together creating a magical barrier that blocked the railgun lightning bolt-like beam.
"Ice Make: Arrows!" Gray appeared and subsequently shot several ice arrows at the Machias giant gorilla which struck its face seemingly hurting it.
Erza reverted back to her regular outfit nearly kneeling down. "Damn...that attack was just as strong...nothing compared to the jupiter cannon."
"Water Slicer!" Juvia swung her right arm creating a single wave of multiple blades that resembled scythes slashing the giant gorilla robot's face.
"Take-Over: Lionel Beast Soul Combination! Beast Lion Apelio!" Leone appeared in the air and transformed into her beast lion-like appear. "Flaming Burning Burst!" She hurled out a flame burst at the giant gorilla's torso creating a fiery explosion.
Lucy came running holding one of her Golden Zodiac keys. "Open Gate of the Lion! Leo!" She held the key up as it glowed a golden light.
"I'm here...my dear Lucy," Loki appeared fixing his suit's collar with a smirk.
"Star Dress: Leo Form!" Lucy's outfit changed into a black ball gown. "Regulus Impact!" Lucy engulfed her fist in a light and released a magical enhanced punch at the giant gorilla's stomach.
"Fishman Water Magic: Water Fissure!" Aquapad slammed his fists into the ground creating a long massive crack that shook the ground beneath the gorilla's robotic feet and strong water energy erupted from the ground.
"Sky Dragon's Roar!"
"Sky God's Bellow!"
Wendy and Chelia released their breath attacks which merged together and turned into a combined attack which swallowed the giant cyborg-like gorilla.
"Requip!" Erza's armor began to change drastically. "Lightning Empress Armor!" She held her long spear and pointed at the giant robot gorilla releasing a powerful lightning bolt.
The attack electrocuted the entire robot's body. "How did you like that?" She asked.
"Is that all you got..." The robot's metal structure showed no signs of damage.
"No way!" Carla exclaimed.
"All those attacks and this oversized tin monkey didn't even flinched!" Leone added with disbelief.
Loki had a concerned look. "I was afraid of this...after the learning the history of the Tech, its clear they're more than just machines that can talk and have human appearances."
Lucy turned to the Celestial spirit. "Loki, you got something information you want to share." Loki pushed his glasses back a little. "Yeah...back when the day when the Celestial keys were around during the time of the Gateways. The Tech were rumored to becoming immune to certain types of magic power."
The others gasped including Lucy. "Wait, Leone, Chelsea...didn't you guys say that you met a Machias Android named Andrew that was practically immune to a few magic elements."
Leone nodded her head. "Yes, not only that, the Machias Andrew had the power to cast magic barriers to protect himself from buildings that collapse. When our friend Minene tried to blow him along with her, he was able to use a magic barrier to protect himself reducing the damage as well."
"Yes, don't forget about Wall, who was only immune to lightning," Chelsea answered.
"Ah...I see that you have encountered some of my ancestors." Caesar stated getting his enemies to look at him. "There are certain Tech that are nearly immune to almost every magic element in the world. In your case, myself including the giant Machias gorilla you see is immune to...Ice, Water, Earth, Electric, Light, Fire, Wind, Darkness, and Shadow."
"Crap, that leaves only Iron or Steel..." Erza sneered looking uneasy. "I have fire, water, and lighting element armors, so, I can use some of the armor that don't require elements."
"Damn it...this battle just tougher than we'd expected," Gray cursed.
"So what..." Wendy spoke getting everyone's attention including Caesar. "Our magic might not be able to hurt you, but, we'll keep trying because...WE'RE FAIRY TAIL! WE WON'T GIVE UP THE FIGHT!"
The others smiled at the confident the young girl display.
Chelia pumped her arms. "Wendy is right, no matter, who our enemy is, we'll take down this enemy somehow!"
Leone cracked her knuckles. "I couldn't said better myself!"
Aquapad grinned. "I will keep fighting too."
Chelsea transformed into Gajeel. "Since we're here, let's take this bastard down together."
"YEAH!" The others roared with sheer determination.
Casear smirked after seeing the high spirited display. "Well, this should be fun...I will enjoy killing you one by one."
In Punk Hazard
Luffy and his crew capture Brownbeard and learn of the history of the centaurs including the unusual legs they were given as a result of Law's Devil Fruit. Nami's group had their bodies switched.
Eventually, Smoker and Tashigi review the recent children that went missing and how the navy didn't investigate the disappearances.
The samurai Kinemon's legs and head were put together but his torso was the only piece missing.
One of the children ends up having withdrawal symptoms which Chopper concludes that the children were given a drug and the other kids start giving off the same reaction. Usopp uses his sniper skills to put the kids in a deep sleep. Luffy along with Robin, Franky(Nami), and Chopper(Franky)go find Law. Nami(Sanji), Zoro, and Brook go find the samurai Kinemon who disappeared to find the last part of his body.
Sanji(Chopper)and Franky(Nami)look after the sleeping kids and Brownbeard until they're attacked by two giant hairy beast-like men named Scotch and Rock. The two are known as the Yeti Cool Brothers and are assassins and confront Brownbeard to kill him. Scotch blasts the pirate right in front of the Nami and Chopper.
Later, Luffy catches up and is confronted by the Yeti Cool Brothers. Chopper(Franky)attempts to use the Rumble Ball to turn into a monster but loses control. Fortunately, Luffy manages to defeat one of them and Law assists in taking the other Cool Brother down. Law decides to give Luffy an offer to take down one of the Four Emperors. Luffy accepts the offer without a second thought much to Nami's chargin.
The other Straw hats, mostly Nami, Usopp, Chopper, and Robin learn of the situation. Law mentions Caesar the clown scientist who is said to be the culprit behind the children's kidnaps.
Luffy's goodie-too attitude seemingly annoys Law but offers assistance in finding what caused the children's giant growth and withdrawal. Law returns some of the Straw Hats to their original bodies except Nami is trapped in Sanji's body.
In Caesar's lab
"Shurorororororo" A distant laugh was heard which belonged to an evil scientist. "To think the Straw Hats would be here on this island." He had a drink of wine.

"Indeed...A female voice said which belonged to his assistant standing on a bird stand. She had the appearance of a harpy. Her wings were a white color including the feathers instead of arms and talon-like legs and feet and a tail. She wore a green cropped tank top with "HAPPY" written in dark green on the chest and yellow cut-off pants with orange stripes and wore glasses while reading the newspaper.

"I heard that they teamed up with a group of usual pirates...I believe they were known as the Fairy Tail Pirates." She adjusted her glasses. "I read a while ago that the former marines Gray Fullbuster and Miyaka opposed the Celestial Dragon and became quite a problem."
"That's right..." The door opened to a tall light-skinned lean yet muscular man with short dark hair, a beard, sideburns, and sunglasses entered the room with his hands behind his back. "However, the rumor is that the Straw Hats arrived a few days ago in the New World. My resources saw no sign of the Fairy Tail Pirates which we can assume they died somewhere in the ocean."
Demon Bamboo Vergo
Occupations: Pirate Officer/Vice-Admiral(Undercover); Head of G-5(undercover), Marine Captain(undercover, former).

"Shurorororororo" Caesar laughed with his eyes closed. "Too bad...I was hoping to find out more about their powers. I heard these Celestial Sisters had quite the powers and their pirate name has put the Celestial Dragons in quite a bind."
"Indeed, the Celestial Dragon's name was shattered considering the name of these two ladies." Monet looked through a journal that had a newspaper page that read "Celestial Dragon's name nearly goes in shambles due to the pirates called the Celestial Sisters"
"Anyway, Ceaser the plan is in motion," Vergo said looking at the clown scientist. "Also, the other order you gave to the others is underway."
"Excellent..." Ceasar grinned widely.
Later, Nami(Sanji)and his group learn that Kinemon's torso is inside the ocean somewhere. Sanji goes to swim inside the water while Zoro and Brook handle the other Smiley blobs.
Law and Chopper go their way to find details on the drugs that were used on the children while Luffy and the others go to find Ceasar, the purple-like blob monster known as Smiley appears where they are and Red Goo is under the order of Caesar and all of them are defeated when Caesar uses a strange ability with his devil fruit power.
Law sneaks to the back door of the third lab where he finds Monet and gets to follow him out while Chopper takes a look at the supplies. However, Vergo appears and subdues Law by crushing his heart rendering him unconscious and it appears that Law and Vergo have known each other.
Caesar leaves and finds Sanji(Nami)and Usopp. The clown scientist tries to play the innocent act but Nami confronts him about his actions but manages to get the kids to turn against the Straw Hats. Brownbeard comes to the rescue and turns against Caesar and is defeated.
Sanji is able to get the last part of Kinemon's body restoring the entire samurai's body. Kinemon demonstrates his Fire Fox Sword style evaporates the blobs and decides to proceed to find his supposed son. Zoro and the others decide to tag along.
Luffy and his group along with Smoker, Law, and Tashigi are taken into a cell where they encounter Admiral Vergo. They learn of Vergo's boss Joker better known as Donquixote Domflamingo stunning the others.
B
At the lake
Usagi returned to the others in the cabin's living room and explained what he heard on the tape recorder.
"Snort...snort...looks like Mavis' ancestor didn't just study machines and stuff, but, would use this cabin as a place for relaxation," Temukai said.
"Yes, to think her ancestor was expecting a child," Cana said taking a sip of wine and wiping her mouth with her arm. "Life is full of surprises."
"Not only that, Professor Vermillion had a team and revived some of the Lost Tech," Usagi informed. "Plus, this was around the year when the World Government was organized."
Tigress was leaning against the table counter in the kitchen. "That doesn't explain who or what caused the destruction in the town next to the Docking Bay."
"Correct, and I get a weird feeling that there was more to whatever happened," Usagi agreed.
Kosaka felt uneasy. "Damn, right out of the fire and into the frying pan."
"Don't you mean "Out of the frying pan and into the fire"?" Pango corrected which seemingly made the teenage boy twitch.
Usagi chuckled softly but he became alerted when he sensed a power presence and stood up from the couch. "Usagi...what is it?"
In the lake, something was lurking.
Angler and his army of Angler Fishmen were ready to battle as they lunged out of the lake just as Usagi turned in the direction of the lake. "Guys, we got company, enemy out of the lake!" They quickly ran out of the cabin to confront the enemy.
"Small enemy group sighted..." Angeler spoke. "Time to fight." He took out a gray-steel-like trident. "Foolish land creatures thinking they can walk upon our home like its island resort."
Usagi and the others arrived at the lake. "Damn, what the hell are they?" Kosaka and Pango exclaimed comically.
"They look like Fishmen but they're robotic." Cana presumed. "The main question is, why do they look like that?"
Usagi had one conclusion to that question. "If I have to make a guess, these must be one of the ancient Tech that were revived,"
Tigress was gazing at the army. "Indeed, all of them are. We should be cautious, we don't know what these guys are capable of."
"Charge!" Angler proclaimed pointing his trident.
Kosaka smirked. "Time to show what I can do..." He gathered wind around his hands. "Wind Magic: Air Cutter Scythe!" Several wind scythes were sent flying at the angler fish-like androids.
Each of them was stopped in their tracks.
"Panda Rolling Ball!" Panda was rolling across toward the angler fish-like androids and knocked them away.
A large android tall big fish android having appearance of a sumo wrestler and the face of whale-shark fishman approached holding a warhammer. "Rrrghhh!" It charged lifting the warhammer nearly going to smash the pand mink.
"Iron-Make-" Temukai put his hands above creating a iron-like mace. "Chain Mace!" He threw it at the whale-shark android's face throwing him off balance a little.
"Panda Palm Thrust!" Pango thrust his palms at the enemy's chest dealing damage and knocking the android back. "How do you like that?" He grinned confidently.
"Hahahaha...not bad for lowly land creatures!"
Another Machias android fishman approached the wizards. It resembled a piranha like face.
Pirantis
Second General of the Android Fishmen Army.
"Allow introduce myself. I'm General Pirantis, second in command in the Machias Angler Army! If you want to get to my boss...you'll have to defeat me."
Tigress looked at the Machias Piranha Fishman. "This guy looks tough..." She then took a look at the weapon that the enemy was holding. "Is that some kind of chain and what's the two fish attached to?"
The was approaching the wizards which was an android-like piranha holding a strange chain with two fish attached at both ends. "But, I'm afraid your power won't be enough." He put one of the fish in his mouth and played it like a flute. "Flute Magic: Magic Blast!" A white beam was fired directly at the wizards.
"Earth Magic: Dirt Wall!" Tigress slammed her fists into the ground and a large rock-like wall erupted blocking the blasts but barely.
"Not shabby kitty cat..." Pirantis mocked confidently. "But, I have more tricks up my sleeve." He disappeared in a flash.
"Where'd he go?" Cana questioned.
"He just used Teleporation Magic!" Tigress proclaimed. "Be on your guard!"
Before they could do anything, Pirantis reappeared and swung his chain throwing it at Kosaka. "Ah!" The middle school teenage boy yelped as his body was wrapped in a bind. "Chain Electrocution!" Kosaka was electrocuted.
"Kosaka, no!" Usagi exclaimed.
"You bastard!" Cana took out her tarot cards and threw multiple ones. "Explosion Cards!" The cards floated in a curved line burst into flames and exploded in contact with the android piranha's body.
"Nice, I'll finish this guy off!" Kosaka summoned a strong wind-like hurricane. "Wing Magic: Hurricane Typhoon!" A hurricane was blown directly at Pirantis.
A smirk was shown on the piranha's robotic face. "I'm afraid the only be finished is you...and you'll be locked in the cold." Pirantis put one of the fish inside his mouth and began to play it like a flute once more releasing a white icy beam. "Freeze Time..." The ice beam was able to blast through the hurricane and freeze it entirely.
"Crap, he froze it!" Cana exclaimed.
"Wait, this guy can use ice magic too?" Tigress added just as shocked.
"That ain't the only thing I can do!" Pirantis declared as he began to play with his fish flute releasing more of the icy beam, only it was multiple beams this time, and all of the fallen android Fishmen rose up.
"Oh crap, he restored the Machias Fishmen!" Kosaka yelped with his eyes popping out.
"I didn't the Tech could do that," Tigress added.
"Heheheheh...you're half correct," Pirantis chuckled amusingly. "These soldiers are just based on regular technology, in other words, they're mindless machines that were designed to follow orders without question."
"So, they're like the Pacifias," Usagi thought as he looked toward Angler. "This bastard's leader didn't make a move, what is he planning?"
"No biggie, I'll strike them down!" Kosaka put his hand out. "Wind Magic: Wind Blades Storm!" Multiple wind-like blades appeared in mid-air and fell like falling arrows. Each wind blade struck down several of the Machias Fishmen, though some evaded the attack.
"Bounce Magic: Bounce Ball!" Panda jumped and curled his body into a ball rolling at the other Fishmen and knocking them away like a bowling ball.
"Nice try, but, I'll just keep bringing them back!" Pirantas was about to play his flute until Tigress came rushing at them. She was baring her fangs which were covered in lighting energy. "Electro Feline Fang!"
Angler smirked as he pointed his trident in Tigress' direction. "Trident Energy Beam!" His trident released a yellow beam of light energy at the Tiger Mink.
"Crap, look out! Card Magic: Wall of Cards!" Cana tossed several tarot cards in the air and took the formation of a wall blocking the energy beam.
"How do you like that?" Cana's smile was replaced with a look of disbelief as she noticed her wall of cards was shot through. "Oh no!"
Tigress was hit by the magic beam sending her crashing across and past the cabin. "Tigress!" Pango yelled.
"I'd worry about yourself, panda boy!" Pirantis played his flute releasing another icy beam that hit the Panda Mink and he became stiff.
"Pango! Pango!" Usagi ran toward his friend shaking his body gently. "What's wrong, why aren't you responding?"
"That furball beast is frozen...a result of my magic icy," Pirantis explained. "I can freeze machines as well as living creatures. The only way to send them free is to defeat me."
Kosaka gritted his teeth looking slightly nervous. "Damn it, if one of us gets hit by the icy beam, we're screwed."
"Hey, get ahold of yourself..." The teenage boy felt a hand on his shoulder. "I understand your concern, but, we can't let this bastard spooks us. As long as we have a clear head and figure out a way to defeat him, we'll be fine."
Usagi sheathed his sword. "I agree, I wasn't expecting this battle to be easy nor any other battle before facing Kaido and his crew in Wano. So, we must keep fighting and save Pango."
"Agreed..." Tigress returned cracking her knuckles.
Cana grinned holding a few cards in her fingers. "Yeah, so, get your feet ready, because we're kicking this oversized goldfish's ass."
B
Outside the laboratory entrance.
Elfman was standing still like an England guard. "Tan-hut!"
"England guards don't talk," Mirajane commented with a smile.
Elfman chuckled a little. "Sorry, I saw in this a book while we were in Academy City. To think guards can stay quiet despite whatever noise they hear from someone or something."
"Still, I wonder who just opened the door," Miyaka glanced at the entrance doorway. "It's unnecessary for an enemy to let walk in their territory or rather base." She knew the Navy wouldn't allow that, especially Warlords unless they were summoned like in the war at Marineford."
Sapphire was using her sense of hearing to listen for any enemies in the air. Her ears twitched seemingly hearing a faint sound in the sky. "Hmm...?" She sniffed the air smelling something unfamiliar and began to snarl like an animal sensing danger.
Elfman, Mirajane, and Miyaka felt the magic energy from afar in the sky and turned in that direction. "You guys feel that?" Elfman questioned looking on edge.
Mirajane narrowed her eyes. "The magic I'm sensing... it's strong...and beyond this world."
Miyaka sensed the danger too, but that wasn't the only thing she caught. "That's not the only thing, my Observation Haki senses a strong power. Not just the magic but the aura... it's so...mysterious yet dark...with eminence power."
Sapphire's keen eye saw flying objects or things coming at them at a fast rate and as soon as they came into view, she saw a big flying creature that resembled a large eagle with a humanoid-like body. "Rawk...land creatures found...now soar and attack..."
Black Pecker
Flight General of the Winged Machais Androids
Species: Bird Machais Android
"Ho-ing...ho-ing...each of these lowly creatures has magic in each of them. This should be fun!" He cawed like a crow.
"We got company from the sky!" Elfman exclaimed. "A lot of them at that!"
"I sense the big android bird is stronger within than the others, we can assume that that one is the leader!" Mirajane stated. "We must be cautious, we don't know what these guys are capable of!"
"Requip Gun Magic: Sniper Rifle!" Miyaka held a Sniper Rifle and aimed. "Homing...Shot...Multiple Shot Barrage!" Multiple magic bullets were shot in the air shooting at the crow-like androids.
"Caw...caw..." The android crows cawed in agony.
"Nice aim...ho ho ho!" Black Pecker cawed amusingly. "Let me show you this! Dark Dart Projection!" He opened his metal-like beak and shot black dart-like projectiles.
"Take cover!" Mirajane transformed into her Saten Soul. "Dark Deflect!" She was able to deflect the black darts just in time and turned to look at the others. "You guys okay?"
"That was so man-" Elfman began to say but then froze. "Mira, watch out!"
"Ho ho hoing! Peek-a-boo!" The Winged bird Machias was already in front of Mirajane. "Machias Bird Style: Boxing Fists!" He delivered several boxing punches at Mirajane's body.
"No Mira!" Elfman exclaimed.
"Damn it..." Miyaka aimed but Pecker's speed in combat was preventing her from taking the risk of shooting down a friend.
Pecker flipped over and drop kicked Mirajane on the head causing her to crash hard on the ground.
Elfman ran over to his sister. "Mirajane...are you alright?"
"Yeah...I'm fine...but, he took me by surprise." His sister replied opening her eyes.
"This bastard is stronger than he looks not to mention he's got an entire army of flying bird androids on his side," Miyaka said. "We must be careful."
"Time for us to get manly!" Elfman declared as he transformed into his Beast Soul form.
Sapphire sprouts her dragon wings and tail. "You got an Ancient Dragon on your side, you won't lose!"
"It's been so long since I fought against lowly land walking creatures!" Black Pecker mocked. "I will enjoy pecking your bodies into you all are nothing but Swiss cheese! Now my Android Black Birds attack!"
Back at the Water Fairy.
Mest was sitting by the ship's mast. "So far, nothing has happened. I wonder if the enemy is lurking around and waiting for the chance to strike. If there's a tunnel in the ocean that leads somewhere on the island. There could be some underground hideout within the island." He then had a realization. "Wait, that's it, the tunnel must lead to somewhere on the island like an underground lab or another dock."
Lisanna was washing two last dishes. "Good to know that others were willing to help with the wishes...so for now." She had a concerned look on her face. "I wonder if the others are having any luck on the island."
Merraid was in her room relaxing with Gilberda and Mao at her side. "Aw, such a nice relaxing moment."
"Yes, this is like a dream come true." Mao cooed with a dreamy expression.
"My thoughts exactly," Gilberda teased playfully.
Merraid's eyes opened on alert including Gilberda letting out a gasp sitting up.
"What's...wrong?" Mao asked with a surprised look.
"We got company," Merraid and Gilberda replied with a serious look on their face.
Joan felt the strong magic pressure within the ocean. She quickly sound the alarm using the bell.
Ding Ding Ding Ding
Mest stood up and looked at the crow's nest. "Joan, what is-" He halted his words as he felt a strong magic pressure coming from below.
Pleaisaurus robot was swimming close and going under the ship and its eyes were glowing a white light.
From deep in the laboratory base, the computer screen had a strange facial image. "Plesiosaur...attack..."
The robotic dinosaur turned around and opened its mouth as orange energy was powering up and releasing it toward the Water Fairy.
Joan cupped her hands together. "Angel Paladin Magic..." A golden light enveloped from the angel's body and soon a golden barrier surrounded the entire ship. "Miracle Barrier!" Just as the dinosaur's beam was near it was blocked by the magic barrier but it caused the waves beneath the ship to splash and violently move the ship.
"Steady the ship!" Joan ordered.
"Right!" Mest took hold of the ship's steering wheel. "Come...on...stay steady..."
The shaking on the ship was affecting the other crew.
Fujika was in her doctor's office sitting in her chair which was spinning around. "What is going...on?" She spoke with dizzy eyes.
"Not bad...this fight shall be entertaining." The computer said seeing through the dinosaur's eyes. "Now, continue the attack kill all those fleshy creatures...make sure that nothing is left..."
The plesiosaurus continued its assault and fired magic-like laser beams which separated into triple beams.
The magic barrier was still up but it took triple damage.
Lisanna and the other girls arrived on the deck.
"What was that just attacked us?" Mao asked.
"Not sure, but, from the look of things its enemy lurking in the water," Mest answered. "Whatever is it, its strong. I got the steady...but if this keeps up the ship will tip over."
Joan began to struggle to keep her stance. "Damn it...whatever is firing at my magic barrier...is just got three times stronger. I still keep the barrier up for a little longer, but we need to find a way to attack."
Merraid was glancing at the ocean. "The enemy is indeed in the ocean, but, whatever is it, my aura is sensing something else...the enemy but something else more from it."
"What's our next move?" Gilderda asked.
Mest already had that figured out and took hold of the transponder snail. "I will contact Arista and her group. Fujika bring some of the Etherion magic potions," The former amazon islander nodded her head and went back into the ship.
"Merraid, you and the other girls help me on deck just in case the enemy sends reinforcements." Mest continued.
"Yes, I will will protect the ladies here!" Merraid declared.
"Y-yeah..." Levy mumbled with a sweat drop.
"Mest, I will contact Erza and the others," Lisanna said as earning a nod from the former magic council.
Mest looked at the ocean looking nervous. "Whatever the enemy is doing, it can't be good. But, we have to fight back and defeat this enemy."
Back with Ace's group.
The four found the elevator and surprisingly it was operating fine. Gajeel quickly took a sea sick pill just in the case. "Not the best taste but its better than vomiting."
"That's for sure," Hinata cringed not wanting to be reminding of that visual.
They took the elevator down and while they were waiting, Ace was having thoughts. "Strange, this place is suppose to be abandoning...however, just like in the entrance, someone or something is obvious luring us here." He had a strange feeling. "I wonder if this has connections to that person that was screaming for help."
"Arriving on the bottom floor have a nice day..." The intercom voice said.
They walked in the hallway and found a room that had a sign. "What's this...say?" Gajeel bend over to look at the sign closely. "Interior room..." They approached the doors which opened.
"Whoa, its automatic like in those stores in Academy City," Lily said.
"No surprise, that's just like in our world," Hinata added.
Bronx started to snarl in a low tone. "Bronx...what is it?"
"I don't know...but I get the feeling whatever lured us here is nearby." The black wolf replied continuing to snarl.
"What's this..." Ace was checking out some console. "Looks like something from a science fiction movie."
"Its called a console...but, this looks high tech..." Hinata summarized observing the controls and buttons. "I'm not a tech expert but I would wager one of these buttons is the on switch."
"Careful, we don't know if this could set off a trap or bomb," Gajeel advised.
Hinata pressed a few buttons which activated something making a humming sound. "What now?"
An AI-like face appeared in front of them.
"AHHHHH!" Ace and the others exclaimed comically with shark teeth.
"He...bzzz...elp...us..." The AI spoke in a distorted female voice.
"What the hell are you?" Gajeel questioned.
"No...bzzz...time to explain...show you...history...of...bzzz...island..." The AI replied still in the distorted voice.
"What did it say?" Lily wondered narrowing his eyes ready to make a move if he needed to.
The AI released a strange green digital lights that the four wizards including Bronx as they closed their eyes due the brightness of the lights. "What is going on?!" Hinata questioned.
"I get the feeling we're about to find out!" Ace answered.
Soon everything went black for a minute or two until they found themselves in strange reality and digital space. "Where are we now?" Lily asked in confusion looking around the area.
Gajeel had one answer. "Looks like some kind of realm but, the question is, what kind of realm?"
"I might be overthinking this, but, it looks like a digital space reality. I've seen this kind of things in some science fiction movies and tv shows." Hinata answered. "Rather a computer like world."
Gajeel and Lily looked at the girl in surprise but mostly disbelief. "No way..."
"Are you serious?"
"After what we've seen so far, I suppose anything is possible even more," Ace said still trying to wrap what he was seeing in his head.
"I can explain that..." A strange digital figure appeared in front of them having the look of a teenage girl with a short ponytail.
The four took their battle stance. "Just who the hell are you?" Gajeel demanded.
"Hold it," Ace put his arm out in front of the iron dragon slayer. "Let her speak...at least I think its a she...what is your name?'
"I'm Maya the last descendent of the Tech..." The digital figure. "I know you got questions for me, but, right now, I must tell you that your friends are battling the other ancient Tech that were revived by my ancestors."

"Damn it...I figured that things were too quiet," Gajeel cursed. "At this rate, the Water Fairy could be targeted!" He was mostly concerned about Levy.
"I can ensure that your friends are safe...I believe they can defeat the Ancient Tech..." Maya assurred.
"Okay, but, we need answers, like who are you and what'd you bring us to this digital dumb?" Gajeel asked coldly.
"Right...although, I can also show than just explain it," Maya put her hand out then the realm changed. "I'll be showing the history of this island including the Team of scientists and magicians that came to work on the projects here about 800 years ago..."
"Will you be showing us the boss of this project...I believe her name was Professor Vermillion." Lily presumed.
The Exceed's answer was confirmed when they saw a woman that resembled Mavis, but she had curves and was taller than the first guild master. "
Four Ancient Machias Androids make their move and confront each of the Fairy Tail wizards. Ace and his group get the bottom floor and find a interior room and find something else inside that'll give them a trip down memory lane or experience the lost island's history from a Machias Android named Maya, who is she and does she have connects to the history of the island and AI.
More importantly, what will they learn and will the others be able to fight against the new enemies?
P.S Black Pecker's laugh is based on Peckster from Power Rangers, so his laugh belongs to the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and General Pirantis' character is based on Pirantishead too, though, my OC's powers will be similiar but a little different as you saw.
