Aria shivers as she and many others step off the train and were greeted by the cold chilly night air. While Ron was taking deep breaths to calm himself, Daphne's face blank, Aria looked around curiously as they stood waiting on the platform. Founder's Ridge was a tiny town that leads towards Hogwarts and Arendelle Mountain that sat further beyond the Academy. The village was supposedly built on the spot where the Founders of the Academy first laid eyes on where they would build the school for those who had a talent for training Pokemon and to see it flourish.
Nowadays, it was serves both Hogwarts students and any trainer about to climb Arendelle Mountain on their way to Nokksnow City. While small it had many places that many love to visit like Dominic Maestro's Music Shop, or the local hairdressing salon if anyone wanted to change their style. A place to rest, you just had to go to the Three Lycanroc Inn, famous for their Butterbeer Drink which was always a delight alongside any sweet from Honeydukes.
"Firs' years! Firs' years over here!" a voice calls out, drawing Aria's attention towards the biggest man she has ever seen in her life. Twice as tall as a normal man, and at least five times as wide he look simply wild, someone that would not be accepted in Surreydawn. Long tangles of bushy black hair and beard his most of his face but they could all see his dark eyes that were filled with much joy that it made the others relax. He was wearing a large moleskin overcoat over shirt and trousers that seem to have been stitched together. Next to him, a large Houndstone stood by his side, drool dripping down from his jaws.
"You all here?" he looks over at them, frowning at how small the group seem to be before nodding his head, "Alright, any more firs' years!" he bellows, making Aria hiss as her ears press down in pain, "Alrighty then. Names Rubeus Hagrid, this is me partner Fang!" he pats the Houndstone on the head, getting a loud woof of happiness in return, "I'm the gamekeeper here at Hogwarts and the Professor Assistant to Professor Kettleburn in Pokemon Breeding… though you won't have to worry about that until third year," he chuckles a bit, "Now I want yer all to follow me and mind yer step now!"
Slipping and stumbling, the followed Hagrid away from the silhouettes of houses and town lights towards a path of stone stairs that seem to have been built into the cliffside, which led to a large bay. The full moon was shining down, lighting up the whole area to reveal a fleet of boats awaiting for them.
"No more'n four to a boat," Hagrid calls out but not many were paying attention. Across the lake known as Destiny Lake, was a grand castle with many turrets and towers. Perched atop a high cliff, its windows sparkling like stars as if they too were part of the night sky. It stood proud and strong, just as it had been when it was newly built. But to prepare itself for the future students that would walk through its hall, the castle has been brought to the modern age. Windows with the best weather proofing to satellites dishes and solar panels hidden by elegant statues sculptured to the fine eye. "Come on you lot! Everyone to a boat!"
Shaking their heads, they quickly scramble towards the wooden boat but Aria stopped in her tracks. "Are these… shaped like coffins?" She asked with a tilt of her head.
"It's tradition," jumping, Aria turns on her heel to see a boy with bright pink hair taking a step back. He was slightly round face, with brown eyes that matched the fur of his large deer ears. He has two small nubs on top of his head that Aria knew would one day grow into large horns. Cradle in his arms, was a Chikorita, "Sorry!" He yelps, trembling a bit, "I… I heard you ask about the coffin boats… it's a tradition because of Salazar Slytherin. When he was fleeing from Hoenn to Grimm, he pretended to be dead… and he called his coffin his gate. It's to symbolize that we're leaving our old life behind and being reborn into a new one,"
Aria blinks, but Ron smiles, leaning out of the boat and almost falling into the lake before he caught himself, "I see you found Trevor,"
Neville sighs, his ears drooping as he gives the Chikorita in his arms a slight glare, "He keeps getting away from me!" He lets out of a huff before he nodded his head at Aria, "Neville Frank of the Most Ancient and Noble House of Longbottom,"
Aria returns the nod, "Aria Marigold of the Most Ancient and Noble Houses of Potter and Black," she then turns her head to the boat, "Do you wish to ride alongside us?"
"Please," Neville whispers before he climbs inside, sitting next to Daphne. Aria quickly follows in, looking around to see that Malfoy was sitting besides Parkinson who was clinging to his arm still, while Nott was sitting next to another girl with bright white hair that fell to her shoulders, and she too wore glasses like Aria though they were half-moon shaped. She was trying to not look annoyed as Nott kept poking her in the face.
"Everyone in?" Hagrid looks around before he nodded his head, "Right then- FORWARD!"
Suddenly, the fleet of coffin shaped boats moved off at once, gliding across Destiny Lake. Looking down, Aria could see that there was a slight glow to the dark wood of the boat. "Psychic Type… they must be pulling us towards the school," she thought before she look up at the great castle overhead as they sailed nearer and nearer to the cliff it stood in.
"Heads down!" Hagrid cries out once more as the first boats reached the cliff. They all quickly followed his orders, bending down as they were pushed through a curtain of ivy that hid a wide opening in the cliff face. Carried down a dark tunnel they reached a sort of underground harbor, where they clambered out onto rocks and pebbles.
After taking a head count, Hagrid led them up another flight of stone steps, towards huge oak front doors which he opened wide. The first years blink their eyes at the sudden to reveal a hall that was so large, Aria was sure it would fit the whole Dursleys' house in it. The stone walls were lit with flaming torches and were covered with pictures of trainers that had graduated from Hogwarts.
"Aria!" Started, Aria turned to Daphne who was pointing at a frame, "Isn't that your mum?"
Blinking, she walked over and for the first time in her life, Aria saw what her mother looked like. At least when she was 18 years old, still just Lily Evans. She was beautiful, with pale skin and dark red hair that fell to her shoulders. Aria couldn't help but stare at her eyes though… because they were the same eyes she saw when she looked at her reflection, the same bright green eyes. Aria quickly pulled her gaze away, wanting to soak everything about her mother. She was wearing the standard Academy uniform, a dark grey jacket and black skirt that fell to her knees with a white vest underneath that seemed to almost blend in with the white collar shirt. Besides the white and legs striped tie hanging from her neck, she had a ribbon in the same colors wrapped around her left arm.
Surrounding her, could only be her Pokémon. Her starter, now a fully evolved Delphox stood proudly by her right side, a small smirk on their face but eyes shimmering in amusement at the Whimisicott that sat on the head of a grumpy looking Perrserker. On her left, was a beautiful and quite large Vesiqueen, looking regal at the others with her head tilted up in the air. Behind them stood a Garchomp, face and throat cover in scars but grinning madly, prepare for a fight. And then surprisingly, curled around them protectively was a Gyarados. But instead of blue scales, this one has bright red scales, red as her Mum's hair.
"That's the team that defeated You-Know-Who," Ron mutters, understanding when Aria just hums, not turning her gaze away from the picture. "Many girls consider her a role model, a trainer that they all dream of becoming one day. I know Ginny wants to be like her," he then turns his head and grabs Aria's arm, "Look, here's one for your dad,"
Forcing to turn her head, Aria stares at the tall man that stares at the camera with a cocky grin on his face. He was very tall and thin, but he had the same slightly dark skin as Aria, as if he had spent his days out in the sun. He has thick, dark black hair that went down below his shoulders with long side parted bangs. Two sections of his hair on both sides of his face were braided and tied at the ends with orange bands. He has amber eyes which were behind a pair of rectangle glasses. His outfit was completely different Lily's having a pair of black pants instead of a skirt, and he didn't wear his jacket, instead having it wrapped around his waist. His waistcoat was open up, revealing that instead of the button collar shirt he was wearing a sleeveless dark orange shirt. Instead of the tie, he had a necklace made of golden beads with several fang-shaped pendants. And Aria couldn't help but swallow, her hands going to her ears, the same ears that James Potter had.
The Pokémon surrounding him were expected after she was told that the Potters have been training ghost types for years. Long before the Everstar League was ever formed. The Gengar was floated slightly above the ground on her father's right side, tongue sticking out wildly to lick at the Aegislash who was freaking out about having a tongue pressed against their back. A Mismagius was cackling, smiling in glee at the sight as they sat their chin against her dad's head, right between his ears. A giant of a Golurk looked to be wondering how they got themselves into this mess, pressing their face in the palm of their hand while the Skeledirge seem to be wondering if they should be eating the camera that was pointed at them.
It was the sixth Pokémon that her dad own that brought confusion to Aria, "A Stanter? But I thought he was a ghost type trainer,"
"Oh he was," a voice spoke to them from behind and all the first years turned to see Professor McGonagall standing behind them. "But Prongs was different, he and James… they connected in ways that not even Umbra, his Gengar, would understand or even try to," she smiles at the whispers that broke out at this, wondering how can another Pokémon be much closer than one's starter. "They were Biomerge partners,"
"But Professor," Aria turns her head to look over her shoulder at Granger who was standing beside Lavender, "that can't be. Stantler's can't evolve,"
"Modern Stantler can't evolve," Professor McGonagall corrected, "During the days when Sinnoh had been called Hisui Stantler had an evolution that was called Wydeer. They went extinct due to humans over hunting them for their fur. It is theorize by the scientist community that Stantler still have the ability to evolve but that the fear is still felt through the generations. Being Biomerging partner, well it overrides that fear," she turns to Hagrid, "I believe that these are all our first years,"
"Yes, Professor McGonagall," Hagrid nodded his head to her.
"Then I shall be informing them what shall be happening while you inform the others that we shall be in the Great Hall in a moment," Hagrid smiles brightly and nodded his head once more, this time in agreement. He gives the students a wave before lumbering away towards the large wooden double doors to the right where Aria could hear the drones of hundreds of voices from behind. Professor McGonagall coughs, drawing their attention towards her, "Now then. Welcome to Hogwarts Academy. I am Professor Minerva McGonagall, Deputy Headmistress and shall be your Professor for Pokemon care and if you are sorted into Gyffindor, your House Head. The Sorting Ceremony shall be taken place once you step through these doors and its a very important ceremony because, while you are here, your House will be something like your family. You will have classes with the rest of your House, sleep in your House dormitory, and spend free time in your House common room. Afterwards, the Headmaster will have a few words and then the start-of-term banquet will begin. Once it is all over, you shall be brought to your dormitory and your Head of House will meet you and shall give you more information in your common rooms,"
After a moment of silence, Professor McGonagall nodded her head and led them to the large pair of wooden double doors. Looking closely at it, Aria could see the symbols of each Pokemon Type carved into the wood. But she didn't have time to really get a closer look at them as the doors swung open to reveal the Great Hall to them.
Thousands of small blue fireballs floated in midair, lighting up the vast room that had been built to fit the great quantity of students that the academy welcomes. Four long tables, where the older students sat, were covered in table cloths of different colors. White, lavender, brown and green table cloths , with glittering golden plates and goblets laid upon them. Keep her eyes straight ahead, to ignore the curious gaze of the older students, Aria spots another long table, sitting upon a dais in front of large stain glass window, where four figures were depicted into its colored glass.
"The Great Hallow's students," Hermione whispers, "Godric Gryffindor," a tall muscular man with a lion-like mane of red hair and a beard to match. Like Aria and her father, he too had lion ears and a tail, and like Aria's father he had amber eyes. "Rowena Ravenclaw," a beautiful woman, stood beside Godric, with a lavender gown that had black hearts sewn in. They couldn't see her hair, for it was covered by a black balaclava that only let her face exposed. She looked slightly intimidating. "Helga Hufflepuff," a slightly plump woman with bright orange hair, sported a wide smile. Like Godric, she was a Beastman, though with the ears and tail of a fox. "And Salazar Slytherin," the last was a man, wearing black robes that reached the ground over a green garment with bell sleeves. He wielded a large cobra staff, the gold matching with the golden bracelets wrapped around his wrists. He had a long thin beard that was white in color and reached to the bottom of his clothes.
They came to a halt, where floating in front of the faculty table was a grand mirror, circular in shape frame in gold. Its reflection was black as night, as if the abyss was staring at them. Dark and murky, Aria tried to not show any reactions as green fire lit from within the reflection forming into an elaborate opera green mask.
"Power sleeps within you," Aria's eyes widen as the mask spoke gently to them, barely above a whisper but they still could hear it loud and clear in their ears, "follow your heart and it will guide you to that power and shape it into strength. But while each House has its own noble history and has produced outstanding trainers throughout time, only one door shall remain open to you, the others shall shut their doors forever. Will you go to Gryffindor? Where courage dwells in their hearts as well as persistence? Or perhaps in Hufflepuff where those loyal will find those as diligent as they are? Or maybe those who are wise will find a home in the strict nest of Ravenclaw… or yet in Slytherin you cunning children will find those who are as mindful as you, finding the resources you need to achieve your plans. But remember, while I may show you the path that which you may take, it shall be up to you to choose. What shall you give up?"
And with that, the mask went silent as Professor McGonagall steps forward, a Rotomohone floating in front of her, "When I call your name, you will step forward to the Dark Mirror to be sorted," she said before she calls out, "Abbot, Hannah!"
A girl with her blonde hair tied up into pigtails steps forward, her face slightly pink in embarrassment at having to go first. She steps forward, gazing at the dark surface of the Dark Mirror. It was only for a moment, silence making the air feel tense as the older years lean closer, waiting….
"HUFFLEPUFF!"
The table on left, covered in the brown tablecloth cheered and clapped as Hannah went to sit down. Her face was no longer red in embarrassment and now has a huge smile as she shakes hand with who Aria recognize from the Opening Ceremony as Amos Diggory's son.
"Bones, Susan!"
Like with Hannah, it didn't take long for the Dark Mirror to call out, "HUFFLEPUFF," for the blue haired girl and she quickly scurries over to join Hannah at the Hufflepuff table.
"Boot, Terry!"
"RAVENCLAW!"
This time, the table on the right applauded this time as they gain their first student among the new first years. Several Ravenclaws stood up to shake hands with the brown curly hair boy.
"Brown, Lavender," the green haired girl look shaken as she stumbles out of the line, walking towards the mirror. She only stood in front of the Dark Mirror's gaze before it bellows out, "GRYFFINDOR," announcing her as the first new Gryffindor of the year. The table on the far right exploded with cheers and Ron's twins brother began to whistle very loudly as she went to sit down.
"Bulstrode, Millicent," was the girl who had been sitting beside Nott and having been annoyed by his poking. She became the first of the first years that Slytherin welcomes with the most subdued but very polite applause to welcome her.
"Finch-Fletchley, Justin!"
The boy who seem slightly taller than any of them, takes a deep breath to settle his nerves before marching in front of the Dark Mirror. At this, Aria noticed that the Dark Mirror decided at once on which House a student should be in, like with Finch-Fletchly going to Hufflepuff straight away but like with a sandy haired boy by the name of Finnigan, Seamus, stood in front of the Dark Mirror for almost a whole minute before he was declared a Gryffindor.
"Granger, Hermione!"
At the sound of her name, Granger ran herself straight into the Dark Mirror before she stops herself. She stares at her reflection, and Aria was curious to see a flicker of fear growing on her face, the other girl quickly shaking her head. Whatever she was seeing, Aria could tell that Granger was not liking it as her hands curled into fist. She stood there, for almost five minutes before the Dark Mirror calls out, "RAVENCLAW!"
Ducking her head, Granger walked over to the lavender tablecloth table, much slower and with a frown on her face as she sat down. Aria didn't pay that much attention as she pulls her gaze away as Daphne was called forward. Like she had guess, Slytherin was the House that she ended being in after a few seconds of standing in front of the Dark Mirror. Another girl, this one who looked about the Twins age practically slap her on the back when Daphne reached the table.
Neville was called up after a Jones, Megan was sorted into Hufflepuff. He was so nervous that he accidentally tripped over his own feet, almost landing on his face if he hadn't been caught by another girl who looked at him in concern. Malfoy snickers under his breath and Aria had to hold back the urge to kick him in the shin, knowing that she would probably get into trouble for it. But soon, Neville was joining the other Gryffindors, looking quite shock and mostly relived for it.
Malfoy swaggers forward, almost pushing Macmillian, Ernest aside when the other boy was heading towards the Hufflepuff table. He had barely stood in front of the mirror's reflection before it screamed out "SLYTHERIN!" He looked please with himself as he sat down next to Bulstrode, and even more please when Nott and Parkinson soon follow him.
There weren't many people left now. Two identical twins called the Patils went next. Padma Patil went to Ravenclaw but her sister, Parvati went to Gryffindor.
"Potter-Black, Aria!"
As Aria stepped forward, pulling the hood of her robes down, whispers broke out like little hissing fires all over the hall.
"Potter, did she say?"
That's Aria Potter? Like the Aria Potter?"
"Why does she have the Black surname? Isn't that family… evil or something?"
"Idiot… her grandmother was Euphemia Black… and the Most Ancient and Noble House of Black is a matriarch family… so its no suppose that Regent Black has called her his heiress,"
"Its the Girl-Who-Lived… the Savior's daughter,"
Reaching the Dark Mirror, standing right in front of it, Aria ignores all the whispers, her green eyes landing on the opera mask. "You are very difficult, Aria Potter-Black," jumping a bit, Aria was startled to hear the voice of the Dark Mirror talking inside her head, "You have plenty of courage and not a bad mind either. Godric and Rowena would be fighting over you while Salazar would try to talk you into choosing his house as you have talent… a thirst to prove yourself… Helga would be rolling her eyes at the three before trying to give you food… she would think you are far too skinny… but right now you must choose,"
"Aren't you supposed to choose?" Aria thought, figuring that since he could talk to her through her mind, he could hear her thoughts.
"Oh no...it is you who choose on which House you go to, as I had said in the beginning. You must choose on which path you take, but to think hard as the other three paths shall close their doors to you. Many believe that I simply sort children base on your personalities alone and while I do take that into consideration, the House that will allow you to thrive is what I should choose… unfortunately over the years families form strong opinions on which House their children should follow suit… so while I tell them which House will fit them well… it is up to them to choose on where they want to go,"
Aria was silent at this before she nodded, "And what House will make sure I thrive...what House will make sure I keep what is mine safe," she felt a pulse of sorrow throb in her heart and Aria had to stop the urge to close her eyes in sadness and anger at the thought of Ruggie, "I don't want to lose anyone anymore… I don't want to be weak anymore…,"
"You are not weak… your relatives may have make you think you are, but you, Aria Potter have never been weak. If you have… you would had bowed your head down and let them do what they did… but yet you kept going strong, kept your head up when many would had just given up...while Hogwarts had not been your plan, you had plan on a way to escape and be free...and that is what you shall be...free...and the House that will help you thrive in that goal...shall be… SLYTHERIN!"
The last word was cried out, and everyone grew silent for a moment before the Slytherin table erupted into cheers, more than they had for the others that had joined Slytherin before her. Taking a seat next to Daphne, Aria couldn't help the sigh of relief that escaped her now that all the gazes are away from her, turning back to the rest of the sorting. There were only four people left to be sorted now. "Smith, Zacharias" joined Hufflepuffs while a "Thomas, Dean" joined Neville at the Gyffindor table. Finally though it was Ron's turn and he seem a bit annoyed. Aria could see him glancing at the Gryffindor table and looking over, Aria could see that his brothers weren't really paying attention. The twins were talking to a boy with dreadlocks while their older brother, Percy she thinks, was giving them glares.
"SLYTHERIN!" they snap all their heads' forward, staring at Ron who was gazing at the mirror in shock. Closing his eyes, he takes a deep breath, trying to calm his nerves as he walks over to the green tablecloth cover table and collapse next to Aria as "Zabini, Blaise," soon follows him. Professor McGonagall's Rotomphone floated into her pocket while the Dark Mirror… floated away revealing the High Table properly now.
Sitting at a large golden chair in the center of the table was the Headmaster, Albus Dumbledore. The man looked exactly like what was on his Chocolate Poliwag card. Though he had a beaming smile on his face as he got to his feet, spreading his arms wide, "Welcome, new students to Hogwarts and welcome to our returning students. Now I know that you must be all famish, but I have a few words to tell you all, so please wait a bit longer and then you all shall be fed and watered," he chuckles a bit, "First years should note that the forest on the grounds, The Forbidden Forest. You can only enter it by yourself during your fourth year, for first years to third year you must be in the company of a professor. A few of our older students should know that,"
His eyes flash towards the Weasley twins but the two were still staring at Ron in shock to pay any attention. "I have been asked by Mr. Filch, our caretaker, to remind you all that Pokemon battles should not happen between classes in the corridors, we have not only the great outdoors but we do have an inside battlefield for you to use. Quite a few of them actually," he paused once more, this time looking at the Slytherin and Gryffindor tables where some people snorted.
"In the second week of term, club activities shall start and Quadball trials shall be held," a voice from the Gryffindor table shout out in celebration making the Headmaster chuckle, "And now… I must inform you about the changes we made in our staff, as you may have noticed," he gestures to a man on his left who quickly stood up. He was pale, with a long white lab coat over a dark chestnut brown turtleneck. What was odd was the dark purple turban wrapped around his head, "I would like to welcome Professor Quirinus Quirrell who was kind enough to be the Battling Professor this year,"
A slight applause broke out but Aria could hear some mutters, from the older Slytherin that sat next to Daphne, "Hopefully he can teach… last year we had Professor Green and while she was...okay, but she was more focus on trying to figure out the curse on the position… I'm not surprise she quit…"
"And I would like to inform you, that Professor Binns has," Professor Dumbledore laughs a bit, "has finally retired. So I will like to introduce you to your new History Professor, Professor Mozus Trein," a tall elderly man stood up, his greying hair was neatly combed back. He was wearing a standard black suit underneath long maroon robe. In his arms, was a Luxio with a purple bow wrapped around his neck, a white stone in the middle.
"And finally, I must tell you that this year, the third-floor corridor on the right hand side is out of bounds due to some renovations we are doing this year. Please for your own safety stay away," and then he smiles as a Wigglytuff stood in front of him, "Now that is all out of the way, let the feast… begin,"
The Wigglytuff smiles brightly and raises his arms up high, a bright light exploding from their body making the students cry out and close their eyes. When Aria blinks her eyes open, her mouth drops at the sight of the food before her. She had never seen so much food in her life: roast beef, roast chicken, pork chops and lamb chops, sausages, bacon and steak, boiled potatoes, roast potatoes, fries, Yorkshire pudding, peas, carrots, apples, bananas, pears and to Aria's glee, mangoes.
Piling all that she liked, especially the mangoes which she had learned thanks to Uncle Ted that she absolutely enjoys and began to eat as chatter began.
"The Dark Mirror must be faulty," Malfoy complains, shooting a glare at Aria and Ron, "Not only did it allow Potter to join Slytherin it stupidly let a Weasel in,"
"Don't mind him," the girl who had welcome Daphne when she joined Slytherin smiles. She has light orange mid length hair, with the top portion to her hair and bangs into a short ponytail, though a few strands fall into her face. "If you're anything like the twins, I don't doubt that you belong here… honestly I am still surprised that the Dark Mirror didn't sort them into Slytherin,"
"Yeah, I was shocked too," Ron mutters, "But the Dark Mirror asked me what I wanted...and I wanted to show a difference..."Daphne frowns at him, looking at Ron with concern. "He said being in Slytherin would do it…"
"Well you sure will," the girl smiles, "Tracey Margot of the Noble House of Davis, at your service," she pulls out her Rotomphone, "Do you mind if I take a selfie? I want to post it on Pokecam? Don't worry, I'll tag you,"
"Uh…" Aria blinks as the Rotomphone flashes and her ears twitch when it clicked, "What's Pokecam?"
Tracey gasps, her face turning to horror as she stares at Aria, "How do you not know what Pokecam is! That is concerning,"
"Well sorry that my Aunt and Uncle didn't like the thought of me becoming a trainer due from coming from a family of trainers,"
Tracey blinks and she grimaces, "Ah...they were one of those people huh… anyway, I'm a third year here at Hogwarts and I'm so glad you're finally here Daphne,"
Daphne huffs, letting out her Swinub who sniffs at the bowl of peas that she pushed towards him, "Tracey lives in Nokksnow, her family owns the daycares all over Grimm and they are amazing breeders,"
"Aw now the ice queen is complimenting me! I'm getting the warm and fuzzies," Tracey grins, leaning forwards to grab some chicken and tossing it over to a Carkol that was sitting behind her, "But yeah I grew up knowing Daphne here, my dad is friends with her mom. My mom works as a chef, she never went on a journey herself but her and her Simsear are really good cooks,"
"What are classes like?" Aria asked, looking over to the High Table again. Hagrid was drinking deeply from his goblet and Professor McGonagall was talking to Professor Dumbledore. Professor Quirrel though, was talking to a man that sat beside him. He had sallow skin and a very large hook nose with his hair being slightly greasy that framed his face like curtains. He wore a black button up collared shirt with a green waistcoat over it. He wasn't listening to Professor Quirrel at all, instead he was staring straight at Aria with cold black eyes that Aria could see from where she sat, was filled with hatred, "Who's that Professor talking to Professor Quirrel?"
Tracey looks up and blinks, "Oh, that's Professor Snape, he teaches Potions and is our Head of House. Wow… he's is really glaring at you… I never see him shoot someone with such hatred before except for the Gryffindors… what did you do?"
Aria frowns, "Being the daughter of James Potter, most likely," she huffs before she lets out Hades. The Duskull got some stares but like Aria, he ignores them, snatching some of the roast beef and beginning to munch on it, "So classes?"
"You'll get your timetables email to you tomorrow, but you have whole day to yourself to settle down and there will be a tour so you'll have help learning the right routes to go to get to classes," Tracey smirks, "But don't be surprised if you still get lost, the staircases like to change,"
"What do you mean the staircases like to change?" Aria asked, eyes wide.
"Well due to its extremely advance age and the sheer amount of aura that is present in it and around it...the castle is kinda alive, in a way?" Aria stares at Tracey who laughs a bit, "Yeah, good luck trying to figure your way around the first few weeks," she shakes her head, "But don't worry about classes, they be starting you off small first, the introduction,"
Aria nodded but soon gets distracted as desserts appeared. Blocks of ice cream in every flavor you could think of, apple pies, mango cheesecake, treacle tarts, chocolate eclairs and jam donuts, trifle, jello, rice pudding… Aria began to focus more on trying to get all the mango cheesecake and to enjoy what she hopes will be the next best seven years of her life.
Look at that! Another chapter! Wooooo Honestly I am proud of this one, I can see the changes in my writing style and I'm loving it so far. So I had a guest ask me if Pansy was base off of Snow White or Charlotte from the Princess and the Frog and she isn't! Like her father, she is base off of Captain Hook! Her best friend Millicent Bulstrode is base off of Smee. Draco is base off of Morgana the younger sister of Ursula and Theo, is base of her tiger shark sidekick, Undertow... though he does take inspiration from floyd.
And I got James and Lily's team out1 It took me a while to figure out who I wanted them to have, but I knew I wanted James to have a Stantler to be his Biomerge Partner...Biomerging of course is taken inspiration from Animagus from canon and Pokemagus from Mister Chaos' fic...if you haven't read that fic you should, it is a really great story. And yes I use the biomerge from digimon... it was the only name I could come up with...
And as you can see I replace Binns! With Professor Trien from Twisted Wonderland...and he has Lucifer (I know in the game he's called Lucius but since we have Draco's dad name that...its just Lucifer in here)
Also as you may have notice... no crabbe or goyle...I decided to cut them out...we got Theo and Pansy here... who are much better rivals than Malfoy's bodyguards honestly you can just replace Crabbe and Goyle and it makes no difference to the story... so here they were never born as their fathers were killed during the war before they could be born.
Anyway, I hope you like it, and the reveal that Ron is in Slytherin... Neville is still in Gryffindor because I do want a Gryffindor/Slytherin friendship and Hermione is in Ravenclaw because Rowena Ravenclaw is a mix between the Queen of Hearts and the Evil Queen in this... and honestly... I always thought Hermione would find a much better time in Ravenclaw than Gryffindor... really if it wasn't for HArry and Ron she would have no friends.
Anyway I hope you all enjoy! Please leave some comments!
