Smoke soared into the sky from the crater. The sound of the engine running faded while the small hatch opened. Once the gate lowered to the ground, a man emerged from the round space pod. An indigo-skinned, scaly, fish-faced male stretched and massaged his neck after a long journey. He wore standard black and brown armor, bluish tight pants, white gloves, and boots. After properly stretching, the soldier took hold of the green scouter and pressed a button. While he waited for the results, the man flew out of the crater.

He landed on the highest ridge and observed the landscape. "Hmph! The planet's a dump. Even if the monkey survived the pod's malfunction, there's no way that weakling can survive in this extreme environment." While he talked with himself, the scouter came to life.

"A power level of 3,000!? That's impossible! Raditz's battle power barely reached 860!"

Sweat rolled down the man's scaly face, but not out of fear. The man was curious to discover who it was and what they were doing on this planet. However, he decided to stay put and wait for the stranger to come because the scouter indicated they were coming his way. A smirk arose as he crossed his arms and wondered about the individual.

"Whoever it is has a puny power level compared to mine. Although, I'm intrigued to find out why anyone would live on this worthless rock. Ugh! The climate's not suited for me at all!"

The man swore while wiping the sweat off his brow. "Damn Zarbon! Next time, he's going to do something for me. I'm tired of always doing his dirty work." He muttered under his breath so the said man wouldn't hear him over the scouter.

His attention shifted to the sky immediately after the device warned him that the individual was closer. He gazed up and noticed the little dot in the distance. The soldier kept his cool and waited until the figure in the air became visible. He frowned while the gray-haired, older male donning an outdated battle armor landed before him.

"A-Ahh! I-I knew it! You must be a member of the Freeza Force! Quick, send a transmission to Freeza and tell him..."

A punch to the face rendered the one-eyed male incapable of talking. "Silence, old man. I'm the one with lots of questions here. First, you'll tell me who are you and what are you doing on this planet?" The soldier crossed his arms again and glared at the older man intently.

"T-There's no time for stupid questions! Both of us are doomed if you don't call in! H-He's after me, and he will kill both of us if you don't call Freeza!"

The soldier stared at the rambling male with a surprised expression. However, a second later, the scaly individual began to laugh. "Hah! How long have you been stranded here, old man? This world must've made you mad!" He placed a hand over his hip while covering the mouth with the other.

"There's no one in this puny world capable of killing me. I'm Cui, one of Lord Freeza's most powerful warriors!"

A chuckle escaped Cui's lips as he arrogantly stared at the gray-haired male. "Now, speak! Who the hell are you!? Based on your armor, you must've served Lord Freeza. Why are you here and..." He raised his voice as he demanded answers but halted once something crashed nearby.

"Y-You fish-faced fool... W-We're dead because of you!"

Cui ignored the man's rumbling and focused on the young-looking male standing before him. After he studied the newest arrival, Cui sneered as he closed his eyes. He shook his head and gazed at the older male who tried to be sneaky and flee.

"This guy's supposed to kill me? Hah! What a joke! I bet his power level isn't over 5,000."

The overconfident soldier chuckled until he noticed the young man step forward. "Oh, you're approaching me? You ignorant buffoon haven't got a clue who you're picking a fight with." Cui raised a hand and grinned.

"Have it your way, big silent guy!"

Cui fired a red ball of ki toward the approaching person. The soldier turned his attention to the gray-haired man, assured of his victory and great power. However, since there was no sound of an explosion, Cui gazed back only to see the tanned young man holding his attack. As he shifted around, his blast got sent high into the sky, where it exploded.

While the explosion in the sky illuminated the land, Cui frowned and immediately grabbed the scouter. "Humph! I guess you're a little bit stronger than I thought. Let's see, battle power...!" The soldier's eyes widened at the measured number.

The soldier stepped back, stunned by the power on the green screen. "I-It can't be. The scouter must be malfunctioning! Yes, that must be it!" Cui forced a smirk and a laugh as he closed both fists.

"Y-You can't fight him! Just listen to me and contact Lord Freeza! Only he is capable of killing Broly!"

Upon hearing the name of the young figure, Cui instantly turned to the gray-haired male. "Broly? Isn't that a Saiyan name? You two are freaking Saiyans!?" He screamed at Paragus, who weakly nodded.

"H-How!? Planet Vegeta and all Saiyans apart, Vegeta, Nappa, and that weakling runt Raditz got wiped out by Lord Freeza!"

Cui's words shocked Paragus, who was told another story. "F-Freeza destroyed planet Vegeta and all Sa..." The one-eyed warrior mumbled in disbelief until he realized King Vegeta's son could still be alive.

"Is King Vegeta's son still alive!? I need to know!"

Paragus's old body trembled while he waited for an answer. If the son of the wretched king still lived, he couldn't die here. Somehow, he needed to get out of this mess and have his revenge. It didn't matter if King Vegeta was dead; he would take revenge upon the man's son.

Cui focused on Broly and ignored Paragus's question. The soldier swallowed hard as sweat slid down his scaly face. "There's no way a Saiyan can have a 65,000 power level! I killed a bunch of Saiyans, and they were all weak!" Cui let out a battle cry and pounced at Broly.

The gentle Saiyan stood still and allowed Cui's punch to land. He felt nothing and didn't even bother to look at the soldier. His focus was on his father, who was trying to escape. He placed a hand on Cui's shoulder and shoved him aside. Brolly walked toward Paragus while Cui stood on the side and wondered what had just happened.

Cui gazed at his fists and noticed the gloves got soaked with red ooze. "T-That's my blood... My fists didn't do anything to him." The soldier stared in shock at Broly's back until anger and frustration consumed him.

"Grh! I won't have it! No monkey can rival me, Cui!"

The soldier raised both hands and began to scream. The red glow surrounding his body became a wild aura that produced a potent force. The shockwave destroyed the nearby rocks and caused the Saiyan to halt and turn around.

Upon seeing the wild-haired male stop and focus on him, Cui laughed. "That's right, you stupid ape! I'm going to kill you and that old coward! Flash Beam!" He fired a barrage of red ki blasts at Broly, who remained still.

The barrage of energy blasts continued for a while. Dark smoke engulfed the area while the explosions tore apart the ground. Cui's desperate laughter rang across the region as he bombarded the place. Abruptly, he halted only to produce a massive red ball of energy. He shot the blast at the target, which detonated upon impact. The powerful explosion forced Cui into the air, where he observed his handiwork.

Despite being out of breath, Cui forced a chuckle. "That should've done it. Not even that arrogant prick Vegeta could survive such an attack. Now, where did that old fool dis..." He searched for Paragus, but as the smoke cleared away, it revealed the Saiyan was standing on the destroyed land without a scratch.

"I-Impossible, that was my strongest blast... I-It can't be true!"

Consumed by fear and bitterness, Cui flew at full speed at Broly. "Let's see you survive this, Bomb Strike!" Clad in red aura, Cui covered the distance within seconds and slammed his glowing fist against Saiyan's cheek.

Cui's smirk faded away because his attempt bore no fruit. He landed on the ground and, terrified, stared at the colossus Saiyan. The soldier couldn't move for a few seconds until he noticed Broly lift a solid fist. Fearing for his life, Cui fired a close-range blast at the Saiyan and attempted to flee.

"I need to get the hell off this cursed planet! Zarbon and Lord Freeza can make fun of me and even punish me, but I don't want to die at the hands of that Saiyan!"

The soldier flew as fast as possible to his space pod. In the meantime, he opened a transmission to the base. "Cui here with an important message to Zarbon! Forget about Raditz; there's a Saiyan on Vampa whose power rivals that of the Ginyu Force..." He stopped frantically screaming at the scouter when he saw Paragus approach his pod.

Seeing the old warrior trying to get into his pod provoked Cui to shriek with outrage. "Get the hell away from my pod, you vile Saiyan scum!" With all his might, the soldier flew across the land quickly and wreaked destruction on the surface.

Unfortunately for Cui, Broly suddenly materialized before him and slammed the sturdy arm against the soldier's face. Blood poured out of Cui's nose while he crashed against the ground, unconscious. The gentle Saiyan floated in the air and observed the fish-like person until he felt a familiar energy nearby. He turned around and saw his father getting into the strange object. The wild-haired teen frowned and flew to prevent the older male from escaping.

Paragus shifted his attention to the sky when he heard the scream and saw what had happened between Broly and Cui. "I won't let this opportunity pass. It won't be like last time!" He jumped inside and quickly reached for the start button, only for someone to grab his hand.

Blood dripped on the ground while the man's legs quivered. His breathing was shallow, and the young Saiyan could barely keep himself from collapsing. "Y-You aren't going nowhere..." His voice was low and strained as he held onto Paragus's wrist.

The gray-haired veteran never even imagined that the low-class Saiyan would be able to get here. He tried to break free, but somehow, the wounded warrior wouldn't let go. His pupil drifted onto the bloody and battered Saiyan. Paragus found himself terrified by the look in the young man's eyes. Cold sweat trailed down his wrinkled, dirty face as he stared at Raditz's fierce, bloodstained eyes.

Paragus snapped out of it when he noticed Broly land nearby. "Come with me, Raditz! W-We'll make space and get off this blasted rock!" The old warrior spoke with urgency and fear while hoping Raditz would agree.

"Come! We'll leave the damned fish face to Broly! He can serve as Broly's toy until that mutant breaks him!"

Suddenly, a bloodstained fist hit Paragus's face. "Agh! Y-You lousy low-class trash! H-How dare you strike me!?" The older warrior lifted a leg to kick Raditz out of the way, but the long-haired Saiyan fell back due to exhaustion and pain.

Paragus let out a chuckle, but Broly got to him this time. Upon seeing his furious son, Paragus somehow tried to find a way out of this mess. "I-It's not what you think! I wanted to prepare the pod for departure so we can leave together!" The gray-haired Saiyan offered a genuine smile, but it didn't work on Broly this time.

The old Saiyan got pulled out of the pod and banged against the rocky ground. "B-Broly, don't! Y-You can't kill me! I'm your father, who went after you when the cursed King Vegeta cast you to Vampa! I sacrificed my life to take care of you on this deplorable planet! You owe your life to me! I commend over you!" Saliva fell down Paragus's chin as the man desperately screamed and waved his hands.

"Instead of being grateful and revering me, you chose to play around with a low-level scum and betray your savior! He's the one who took my chance to leave this planet and conquer the universe! Because of his influence, you turned against me!"

Paragus got on his feet and breathed out of control as he continued to rant and scream, entirely out of his mind. "Well, no more." The veteran Saiyan whispered as he swiftly lifted a hand and fired a ki blast in Raditz's direction.

While Paragus evilly grinned, Broly reacted faster and appeared before the injured Raditz to deflect the blast. "Enough! Father won't harm anyone anymore, or I will hurt father." The wild-haired Saiyan made it evident he no longer had patience for games.

Frustrated that things weren't going his way anymore, Paragus wailed. "Dammit all! I was destined for more than this!" The old warrior dropped to his knees and bashed his fists against the ground.

Broly stared at his father with pity. The gentle Saiyan closed his eyes and pivoted around. He approached the wounded Raditz and carefully turned the long-haired warrior on the back. Gently, he placed a hand on the man's chest and shook him. A little smile appeared on Broly's face once he heard the grunts and saw Raditz's open eyes.

The long-haired teen coughed a lot but eventually stopped. His body felt broken and set on fire. He didn't even dare to move a muscle because he knew the pain would be too much for him to handle. The warrior stirred his weary orbs to Broly, who squatted nearby.

"W-What happened to Paragus and Freeza's soldier?"

Raditz immediately halted as the pang rushed through his battered body. He tried his best to cope with the pain while he waited for a response from Broly. While the warrior cussed mentally, he comforted himself with the fact that he would grow stronger from this. Once he got healed, his power, thanks to the Saiyan genes, would skyrocket. That was the only thing holding the long-haired teen together.

"The fish-looking man's defeated, and father won't hurt anyone anymore."

The wounded Saiyan nodded but could tell Broly hadn't killed either of the two. "L-Listen, to survive, you must do whatever's necessary... even killing the weak and innocent. Sooner or later, you will have to accept that." Raditz momentarily surpassed the pain and grabbed the gentle Saiyan's hand.

"S-Space's a cold and ruthless place... where only the strong stand a... chance."

He stared into Broly's soft eyes and hoped the fellow Saiyan understood what he meant. The gentle teen seemed conflicted, but Raditz didn't press any further. He couldn't because the darkness consumed his vision and consciousness. The long-haired warrior loosened the grip and let his hand fall against the ground while he lay unconscious on the floor.

Broly stared at the motionless warrior as the breeze blew across the area. He got on his feet and gently held the unconscious Saiyan in his strong arms. Broly turned to the place where his father was, but the veteran wasn't there anymore. The gentle Saiyan let out a sigh and approached the pod. Carefully, he put Raditz inside and lifted the round object. The strong teen flew across the sky and searched for a new place where they could live, just like before, while carrying the space pod over the shoulder.

Meanwhile, Paragus ran across the wasteland. Exhausted and beaten, he didn't have enough energy to fly. The gray-haired warrior cursed out loud between laborious breaths. He jumped over the ravine and lost footing upon landing on the other side. The Saiyan screamed as he fell into the ravine but managed to grab onto the protruding rock. While he hung, the veteran tried to reach the top, but the stones crumbled under the man's weight. The old man fell into a dark gorge and got buried under the rocks.

Naturally, something like that couldn't kill a Saiyan. He pushed the rocks off his body and slowly got up. With heavy breathing, he looked around and saw a glimpse of light. He walked towards the light and saw an open field. As he moved onward, a puny smirk appeared on his bruised and dirty face.

"I-I swear, this is not the end, Broly. I'll ensure you and your precious friend pay for doing this to me. Somehow, I'll find a way to get rid of you."

The man, who had to halt and cough, let out a wicked chuckle. He looked at his hands and saw bits of blood. The warrior brushed his hand over the stone wall and pressed forward. He continued to walk for a while. The man crossed over the wasteland and ravines and had to climb the cliffs until he reached a point where he couldn't move any longer. Confident he was out of danger, Paragus sat on the ground to take a break. However, an agonizing scream caught his attention.

Despite being tired, he got on his feet and walked near the edge. As he gazed below, his eyes widened at the sight of Cui getting devoured by the vicious spiders. Sweat rolled down Paragus's forehead while he watched the ferocious vermin drain the soldier of his blood and chew on the man's corpse. The Saiyan swallowed hard, still not getting used to the savagery of the beasts. While he watched, something caught his attention. His black pupil stirred to the right and saw the scouter.

Paragus almost yelped out of surprise but stopped himself so the beasts wouldn't find him. "I need the scouter! With it, I can call in and negotiate with Freeza. I'm confident he would be interested in Broly and that wretched low-life." He grasped the nearby rock and shattered it as the excitement rushed through him.

The experienced warrior knew he couldn't go and snatch the device just yet. He had to wait until the creatures had their fill and left the scene. The Saiyan sat down and patiently waited. While he waited, the one-eyed warrior began to devise his plan. A nasty expression resurfaced on his face while his body fluttered out of lust for vengeance.

The Saiyan snapped out of the trance once he noticed the spiders leaving. He waited a good minute until they were gone and carefully went down. It took a while for the exhausted warrior to get to the bottom, but he had to be slow and cautious so the beasts wouldn't return. Since he was tired and wounded, the one-eyed Saiyan didn't do such an excellent job of silently getting to the bottom. However, Paragus pressed on, consumed by the feelings and sense of vengeance.

While the rocks fell over the place, he landed safely on the ground and immediately lunged for the scouter. Once in his hands, the Saiyan chortled. Solace and delight washed over him while he held tightly onto the device. He put the scouter on and pressed the small, red button on the side. Despite the crack across the screen, the gadget came to life.

"Yes! It's working! This device is my ticket out of this planet!"

Paragus couldn't control himself and laughed. The gray-haired Saiyan glanced at Cui's dried body and chuckled. "Before I leave, I could take the armor and the..." He had just touched the intact armor when a tremor caused the veteran to halt.

His head got drenched in sweat while he stood motionless over Cui's corpse. The Saiyan swallowed hard while the quakes increased. Suddenly, he could hear all too familiar noises from behind and above. Slightly, he raised his head and saw a gigantic spider standing on the cliff. He shifted his head to the side and saw a bunch of little ones behind him.

The Saiyan clenched his teeth and, with no other options, tried to jump as high as he could. He leaped over the little ones, but the gigantic spider wouldn't let him flee. The enormous insect swiftly extended the razor-sharp tongue, penetrated Paragus's leg, and curled its tongue around it. Paragus got slammed against the wall and immediately released. The old warrior fell to the ground and hollered out of pain.

However, as he looked up, he saw the little spiders surround him and start poking him. "Aghh! No, get away from me!" He lifted his arm and fired a ki blast. It was a weak attack, but the loud noise scared the little ones away.

He thought it was a chance, but the giant spider landed before him. Upon seeing the sharp fangs, Paragus cried out. "B-B-Broly! S-Save me, Broly!" The old Saiyan warrior raised his arm to protect himself while he tried to get up and escape.

However, the gray-haired male slipped and fell back to the ground. He screamed as the monster pierced his chest and began sapping his blood. The Saiyan's anguished voice rang over the spider-infested area until the insects swarmed the man.
