A/N Syg, I think your analysis of Willow is spot on actually. It explains her going behind Xander's back to tell Buffy what Xander means to her, knowing he plans to ask her on a date. It explains her encouraging Buffy to be involved with Angel despite the risk, vampire, curse etc. At the very least she had to have a clue what kind of diseases a walking corpse could have. And yes, she probably believed her friendships were based on what she could do for people and given how envious of Cordelia she was (Buffy self described herself as the Cordelia of Hemery, only more so), she probably struggled with envy and resentment of Buffy as well and the need to prove herself as the BETTER friend. In season six when she goes Dark Willow, she tells Buffy it's a big deal for her, six years as a sideman and now she's the Slayer. She had to prove herself BETTER. Like Buffy, she had a superiority complex AND an inferiority complex. (Vampire therapist told Buffy that).

Supermoon, super werewolves sounds like a Saturday night popcorn movie, but your scenario might make an interesting story, the aftermath of surviving and rebuilding the world. Maybe as a one shot, otherwise it would probably work better as a completely original story. Possibilities...

Guest, you mean the Scoobies discovering they're game characters? I've seen a few fics were Xander knows he's in a game, but I don't think I've seen one where they all realize they're in a game. Now that could make for a very interesting story as they try to figure out if they're even real or escape...ooh, a plot bunny just got born.

Guest, I've only read one good Terminator cross, Ironbear's Trilogy that I'm praying he finishes some day, but now you've got me wanting to see it I can do a Terminator cross justice, the possibility you presented makes for a very interesting way to do it.

Keep the ideas coming people, I've got enough ideas to keep me writing for the next year and I am nowhere near ready to stop. 😍

"If I remember correctly," The visiting Xander looked at his counterpart after he'd finished striping and binding Willow's power. "you're technically undead right now."

"Somewhere between life and death is how the crow put it." Local Xander answered. "Until my mission is complete and then I have a choice on what happens next."

"What kind of choice?" Local Cordelia asked, staring at her former boyfriend.

"I could surrender the power and let myself die. I could surrender the power and live again. Or I could keep the power and live again."

"Well, that last one sounds pretty good." Buffy commented. "You'd sure be a big help all souped up."

Silence as local Xander studied her for a moment and then he said. "Is it really Willow influencing you or have you managed to ignore the fact that I never needed power to be helpful? More helpful than Willow? I saved your life twice when we went into the sewers to find Jesse. I made Angel help me find you when you blindly followed the Anointed One to your death. I revived you, I came up with the plan to stop the Judge and the rest of us, not you or Giles, did all the work on that plan. I led the others during the summer when you ran away and left us all wondering if you were dead and I've still got all the left over soldier stuff in my head which could be even more useful. And you're not the only person I've managed to help with no power, the day after you some how got it into your head that I should be 'fray adjacent' conveniently forgetting that you had to protect Willow and not me during that battle with the Jhe, I saved Faith's life as well."

"Jhe, huh?" The visiting Xander murmured. "Did you also happen to stop Jack O'Toole from setting off a bomb in the boiler room that night? After trying to get Buffy and Giles to understand there was a problem and they ignored you because of the 'fray adjacent' shit?"

"Bomb?!" Giles exclaimed. "And you didn't say anything afterward?!"

"You didn't tell me there was an apocalypse happening either." Local Xander pointed out. "The point is, I didn't need power to do any of that and I don't actually need power period."

"What you need is a reason to live." The visiting Xander stated. "A purpose, affirmation, friendship, love. Without those things, you have every reason to surrender the power and let yourself die, because vengeance isn't a reason to live, it's a reason to kill. How many have you killed so far in your mission of vengeance?"

"One, the Mayor. Made him feel a century's worth of his victim's pain and fear before his heart gave out and set Faith free from him. I meant it when I told her I wanted to help her. His memories showed me every human in Sunnydale working with him, including Snyder and the police. While most of them are covering up what's happening in Sunnydale, they aren't killing people themselves. But they are standing by and letting demons kill people. Something has to be done about them, but just killing them, unlike the Mayor, I'm not enthused about that option."

"You killed the Mayor?!" Buffy stared at him. "You killed a human? Xander, how could you, do you want to end up like Faith?"

"As opposed to you?"

"Excuse me?! What are you talking about?!"

"Faith is wracked with guilt over accidentally killing a human, you feel nothing over killing Catherine Madison or the zookeeper or the assassins or Pete or all the humans that died after you let Angelus go. Which is worse?"

Buffy gaped at him.

"We took a vote on to how to handle the Mayor back in our reality." Cordelia told them. "We shared the burden of the discision, even if Xander did the actual work "

"What did you do?" Local Xander asked, ignoring Buffy, who was still gaping like a fish and trying to wrap her mind around the idea that she'd killed people. Aside from thinking she'd killed Ted the Robot or being blamed for Kendra's death, she'd never made the connection in her mind that humans had died because of her choices, self defense and otherwise and now that knowledge was hitting her like a freight train.

"He was a politician, full of hot air." The visiting Xander answered. "It made it easy to turn him into a hot air balloon and send him up to catch an airplane. Making peace with that decision took awhile though." He finished gravely. "He sold his soul for power and killed and allowed demons to kill. He deserved his fate, but that didn't follow that we deserved the burden of taking a human life. But what are the alternatives? And is it any different than killing a demon that preys on humans? No court of law exists that could have dealt with him and we've made the choice to protect people from demons and sometimes that means the humans that choose to work with them too. You may even be able to help Faith more now because you've also taken a life."

"And I can give you a reason to choose life." Local Cordelia told her Xander, taking his hand. "Willow broke us up, we didn't choose to end our relationship. You didn't choose to hurt me. We can choose to let go of the pain and live."

"Works for me." Local Xander smiled at her and made his choice, letting the pain, the need for vengeance and the power go as he chose life and her.

"Time to go, Dawnie." The visitors held out their hands to the little girl all the Scoobies considered their baby sister. "You've done good." She beamed happily as she took their hands. "You guys got a heck of a mess to clean up, but you've also got a plan. Good luck." They watched as he opened a portal back home and those left behind looked at each other and slowly began to rebuild what had been torn apart.

A/N Yes, this will be continued in it's own story.
