Story Start!
The air on the ship was much less tense, and much more relaxed.
Golden Darkness was even watering his plants before he woke up while they were on their way to Earth, and she had a tiny smile on her face. Their little stop at the club had left her with much less stress, and she felt much more... at ease being around Naruto at the moment. She didn't remember anything that happened in the club, but she felt a certain amount of closeness with him. She just didn't feel nearly as stressed that somebody else was living with her on her ship.
She didn't hate this feeling.
She hated that she didn't remember WHY she felt closer to Naruto, because her memories of that time space club were so blurred she couldn't make anything out of them, but she didn't hate the feeling that she could talk to somebody without having to put her guard up. On her monitor, she saw Naruto with out in space and standing on top of the ship. He was just standing there and staring out into space.
While they were moving many times faster than light.
Okay, that was something she needed to add to the list of things his body was capable of withstanding. Her body would be ripped to shreds and atomized if she traveled outside of the ship at faster than light speeds, but his body seemed genuinely like he just wasn't taking any damage from being exposed to such extreme speeds. He was just enjoying the view of the passing stars and galaxies outside the ship, watching them blur together and go by in the blink of an eye.
Did he see them different than her.
'So, he doesn't require food or water, he can survive in space, and his body can withstand raw faster than light travel without the safety of a spacesuit or a spaceship.' Golden Darkness added that to the list of just the many ways he broke all laws of physics without the use of technology to aid him. There were moments where she had to question all things she knew about reality.
He broke the law of energy.
His body CREATED energy from nothing, and he was capable of turning that energy into matter. That was only something that could be achieved with the highest levels of bullshit technology imaginable. He did this with his body, not technology. She figured the bodies could produce energy, but the sheer amount of energy his body produced far outclassed what he put into his body to make the energy.
'Not that it matters, at this point I should stop being surprised at the kind of strange things he can do.' Golden Darkness finished watering his plants that were decorating her ship. Every planet with plant life that they passed, he just HAD to stop and get some kind of plant from it. Flowers, ferns, and plants that she couldn't identify if she wanted to.
She would be lying to herself if she said they weren't nice though, because they were.
The air in the ship seemed fresher than before, and the gentle smell the plants gave off stopped the ship from smelling like... well a ship. She looked back at the monitor and saw Naruto wasn't on the ship, and her heart skipped a beat.
Did he fall off?
"Well, that was fun, seems we are about to enter a solar system... the solar system Earth is in?" Naruto asked her as he entered the control room, and she sighed in relief that he didn't fall off. He just entered the ship when they started to approach a solar system, and the ship was going to have to slow down. "So... you're going to kill a kid?" Naruto asked her, just to make sure that she was actually going to go through with it.
"The client reported that he was an abusive partner who forced the princess of Deviluke to get engaged with him, and an evil pervert." Golden Darkness stated with a tone that showed she believed the client.
...
"... Seriously, you believed that?" Naruto asked her with both of his eyebrows shooting up, because he couldn't believe that she was so naive as to believe something that sounded like such an obvious lie to get her to agree to the job. Golden Darkness looked at him, and her eyebrows slowly started to lower as she thought about what she said.
Actually, he was right.
It didn't make sense, because other than Naruto, people that claimed to be human were weak. If this Rito Yuuki was human, then there really wasn't any way he could force Princess Lala to do anything against her will. She doubted if he punched her with all of his strength that he would be capable of putting a bruise on her, purely because he was a weak human.
"You're saying the client lied?" Golden Darkness wanted confirmation.
"Well-"
-Days Later-
"-this is one way to find out." Naruto stated as they walked through the streets of Japan, and the two of them were following the boy himself in question. He wasn't hard to find, he was a school student and he hung around Lala, who had bright pink hair and stood out like a sore thumb. It was extremely easy to find him purely based on that.
Golden Darkness turned her fingers into knifes.
"I could just-"
"You're cute, but boy do you jump the gun quickly." Naruto put a hand on her shoulder, and that stopped her from making any move at all. She wasn't fast enough to get to Rito before him, and she wasn't strong enough to force him to let go of her.
"C-cute?"
That was a first for her, maybe.
She didn't remember getting called cute in the club or not.
"Regardless of what kind of person he is, I accepted the job and must kill him. I have yet to fail, and I will no fail." Golden Darkness stated, but she knew she wasn't going to get that chance while Naruto was holding onto her. She could stretch her hair out and turn it into a weapon, but she was pretty sure Naruto would just cut the hair off before it would reach Rito. "Why are you getting in the way of my mission at this point?" Golden Darkness questioned him.
Naruto looked at Rito.
"Because, killing the fiance of a princess is a pretty serious thing, and would put a massive target on your back, and I live with you. I don't want to have to deal with that, and... this is a pretty nice city, pretty cool." Naruto changed the subject. She nodded her head and accepted his reasoning.
"Golden Darkness! Halt, you will not take Rito Yuuki's life today! For I, Zastin, will-"
"Dude, stop, she isn't attacking him." Naruto raised a hand when a Devilukian male in black and white armor styled gothic in bones jumped between them and Rito, with the pink haired princess Lala landing down as well. That alerted Rito to the fact something was going on, and he turned around so quickly everything in his hands went flying towards them.
Naruto caught a fish shaped cake.
There was a long, awkward pause.
"Lacospo told me that he hired you to kill Rito, and I'm going to protect him!" Lala shouted, and Naruto took a bite out of the fish shaped cake, and he was surprised at how good it was. It wasn't something he had tasted on his home world. Naruto passed the cake to Golden Darkness, and she took a bite of it as well since he was handing it to her.
"Hm, Earth food is pretty different."
Zastin stepped forward and pulled his sword out.
"What is going on!?" Rito shouted out.
"That is a legendary assassin, Golden Darkness, real name unknown. She's here to claim your life before your status as Lala's fiance become official. She was hired by the prince of another world, another of Lala's suitors. Stay behind me." Zastin stated as he shielded Rito from harm with his own body, preparing to fight.
...
The fight didn't happen.
"I'm not going to kill him until I can confirm the information I was told was correct, Naruto won't let me. You're safe so long as you're not a perverted abusive woman beating man who took advantage of Princess Lala to try and get the deviluke throne... Naruto doesn't want me killing him if he's innocent of that." Golden Darkness explained.
Everyone paused.
"Rito Yuuki might stumble into women and grope them by accident from time to time, but I assure you he is no pervert, and I can promise you he has not forced Lala into doing anything of the sort." Zastin confirmed, and Golden Darkness glared at Rito for the statement made about him.
"I don't do it on purpose, it just happens!"
"Perversion is the enemy... but..."
"Oh good, Rito is a good guy, so Naru-chan and Yami-chan won't have to attack him, that sounds great!" Lala just dropped her guard completely and gave both of them affectionate nicknames the second she believed they weren't going to attack Rito. Naruto scratched the back of his head and grinned sheepishly at the nickname.
"Yami-chan."
"You should keep that, it's a good one. I've just been calling you GD, but Yami sounds good." Naruto mentally memorized that name, because it really was such a good nickname for the small assassin. "Naru-chan?" Naruto questioned as he approached Lala.
"Is it okay?" She asked.
"It's cool, I don't mind at all La-chan." Naruto shortened her name as well with a grin. He liked this little pink bombshell. Naruto looked back at Golden Darkness, who would from now on be referred to as her new nickname of Yami, and he gestured for her to go and shake hands with everyone.
The air was tense between her and Zastin, since he didn't trust that she wasn't still going to try and kill Rito.
She was tense too, ready for fight.
"Well, while you guys all get caught up, I'm going to go and kill... Lacospo was it... yeah, he told Yami he was going to be close by, so I'm going to turn him to ash." Naruto stated his plain and clear murderous intent.
"You... he's a prince, you can't just... where did he go?" Zastin watched as Naruto vanished from view.
Everyone froze when he just disappeared.
"Naruto is the fastest thing I've ever seen, chances are, he could be anywhere on this planet right about now. Meaning, once he finds Lacospo, the client will be dead, and his lies to me will have been punished. Naruto was not happy about the lies." Yami stated as she covered her face with her hand.
Naruto appeared.
Naruto's fist was covered in blood.
"Well, the guy is dead now, unless his species can survive not having a head." Naruto didn't take long to find the guy, enter his ship, punch his head into paste, and come back. "... and seeing as Rito would be dead by now if I didn't convince Yami to wait to attack, how about you guys treat us to some Earth food." Naruto leaned against Yami with a grin.
She put up with it.
"The client is dead, and as long as Rito Yuuki never fits the description I was given, then he isn't my target. If he ever DOES fit that description though... he becomes my target." Yami turned her hand into a sword to prove a point. She looked at Naruto, and she expected him to argue with her. He wasn't fond of murder, but he wasn't against it either.
"Dinner sounds awesome, you guys should come over, Mikan is a great cook!"
"Sounds wonderful."
"We really should be going." Yami stated to him.
"Yami, we're going to enjoy a nice dinner, and enjoy the culture of this planet for a little bit while you decide if Rito fits your description of him. Also... does Ramen exist on this world?" Naruto asked as he pointed at the native of the planet.
Rito gulped.
"Do... you hate ramen?"
"So... ramen does exist on this planet?" Naruto's smile started to stretch into a dangerous grin. "Oh yeah, Yami, we're going to be staying on this planet for awhile." Naruto wrapped his arm around her shoulders.
She elbowed him in the balls.
He collapsed with his hands on his balls.
That hurt no matter how powerful you were.
